While the cafes I’ve been to in that state are good, this place didn’t water it down, and I didn’t even ask for strong black coffee like I normally would in Illinois. Very polite people! “I went here with my friend yesterday, and it was our first time trying it. I'm not the biggest fan of matcha, but yesterday we ordered one strawberry and one lavender matcha, and they were fantastic. Probably the best matcha I've had, ever. I highly recommend people try this out. The owners are very nice, and the place has a unique, cute feel.“

“I love Adelie Coffee House. The coffee is simply delicious! It's rich, smooth, aromatic, soothing - like a warm blanket fresh out of the dryer. I've only tried the cheese danish. It was very good. The baristas are great - all of them. The coffee house itself is bare bones, yet clean and cozy. You have the option to sit outside if you like. We had been aware that it was opening for what felt like ages but there was a delay for whatever reason. When the soft opening came, we walked in with excitement but there was no food left and the coffee was mediocre. Can’t say enough about the friendliness and attention to detail of Paul Daniels the owner. Great place to start and end your Wissahickon adventures be it on foot or by bike. 😊“

“First Watch is one of our go-to places for breakfast. The food is usually five star. I had the traditional breakfast eggs scrambled, bacon, potatoes, and toast. The eggs were a bit tasteless it seemed because they used little or no salt. The potatos were salted and tasted fine. The bread was also a little bland since I ordered it without the usual heaps of butter. I'm a tea drinker and the selection is variable. This time there was enough non-earl grey and herbal tea to have two full cups of English breakfast. The tea situation is always dicey, often only decaf black and herbal with one Earl Grey. It would also be great if they ditched the stevia for either one or both of the chemical sweeteners, yellow or pink would do.

It's still a good breakfast place, just could be better with a little more salt and better sweetener options.“
