“Don Mezcal was an incredible experience. Right as you walk in, you can feel the amazing atmosphere. The food and service are also amazing, and I was taken away by the quality of the food. I would definitely recommend Don Mezcal to someone, as it was amazing.”
“The chef has mastered blending various flavors for fantastic and surprising outcomes. The presentation is beautiful. The staff is fully knowledgeable of the menu and can offer suggestions or pairings. A first class operation. Highly recommended.”
“probably the best sushi i’ve ever had and the waiter dan was such a sweetheart. he told us how important the quality of their food is to them and it just made me want to go back. i have to try everything on the menu ”
“Found amidst other small businesses and shops in the heart of Bryn Mawr, Yamazaki Ramen might just be the cozy culinary hideaway your taste buds need. It's a modest space, sure, but what it lacks in grandeur, it compensates with a soul-warming embrace, a friendly nod, and bowls of ramen that could easily steal the show in any food lover's heart. Now, let's talk about the star of our gastronomic journey--the Yamazaki Special ramen. This bowl is more than just a meal; it's a warm embrace on a cold day, a melody of flavors that sings a harmonious ode to traditional Tonkotsu ramen. With its rich pork-bone soup, tender roast pork, and an ensemble of bamboo shoots, kikurage mushrooms, red ginger, scallions, and a perfectly poached egg, it's a dish that doesn't just satisfy hunger; it nourishes the soul.Alongside this noodle nirvana, we ventured into the realm of the Gyudon Rice Bowl. Here, we found a comforting assembly of sliced beef, onions, and pickled ginger atop a bed of rice, all gently hugged by a sweet dashi sauce. The seasoned boiled egg added a nice touch, though the dish played more of a supporting role to the show-stopping ramen. It's still a solid choice for those craving a bit of variety, offering a satisfying culinary experience.Yamazaki Ramen stands as a testament to the joys of simple, heartfelt cooking. In this unassuming spot, you'll find dishes crafted with care, flavors that linger long after the last bite, and a reminder of the quiet power of a well-made bowl of ramen. So, if find yourself in Bryn Mawr and in search of a quick & tasty bite, Yamazaki Ramen checks all of the boxes.”
“If your looking for a real Philly Cheese Steak, look no further! I was at Bubba's just the other day. The cheese steak was out of this world and just when i thought my taste buds were done i ordered one of there "Fruity Pebble" milk shakes that was a home run! Highly recommended, a must try!”
“Waiter was great....humus ...great variety and absolutely delicious....I had the lamb dish and it was good...pulled lamb....my niece had chicken and my sister said it was quite succulent.Dhe had a fish dish that she ate completely and like. Price was great we had a flourless chocolate cake that we all shared and did not finish. It was quite rich. Good experience..we got there right after opening but it filled up quickly. It's worth a try.Vegetarian options: Not a wide variety for dinner...only pasta”
“Our first experience here, popping in on a rainy Saturday evening. Despite the warm, welcoming interior, the first thing we noticed was how loud the restaurant was. Full capacity with a crowded bar does not need loud music playing! It was exceedingly difficult having a conversation with my partner, we actually gave up and people watched.Food was great! We enjoyed our bacon wrapped figs and goat cheese appetizers. The Tips & Shrimp and short rib pasta entrees were great as were the house-made beignets. The awesome hostess was as doing quadruple duty as Villanova students are one Spring break. She didn’t miss a beat taking our drink and food orders, filling our water and making sure we were enjoying our meal.”
“Excellent quality sushi! My family ordered a couple sushi combos and a special roll and everything was super fresh and absolutely delicious. Best sushi I had on a long time (inmy opinion, in terms of ramen and sushi it beats some otherJapanese restaurants in the area)”
“Our dinner at Fraschetta was EXCELLENT! The waiter was new and learning the ropes. He was charming and attentive. He had help from another waitress and the owner. I particularly like the fact that I was able to substitute the side for a vegetable. That is very rare these days and I appreciated that immensely. We also received a complimentary dessert. I don't know why but that was very kind. If it was because the waiter was learning, I know that we didn't mind that he was a newbie. Every new waiter should be as conscientious. Thanks for a wonderful meal. We will be back soon!”
“First time dining since the old GHP and was amazed at the beautiful transformation. Service was fantastic, the menu was a nice mix of options at a reasonable price, and the food was delicious. My friends and I enjoyed everything we tried. Would recommend for families and groups.”
“This restaurant is, quite frankly, the epitome of charming. The decor is clearly done by hand, the painted stenciling slightly askew, the front window a darling mishmash of brocade and little sparkling candle-lamps and the odd hookah. A large mirror on the far wall stands like some magic portal in the back of a slightly chintzy bazaar, lending an airiness to the room along with the natural light from the wide front window. We were greeted by the proprietor, who learned all of his cooking from his mother and now shares the kitchen with his wife. Determined to ensure every visitor is treated to a flawless experience, he brought bottles of water and then proceeded to tour us through the menu, giving sound advice indeed on where to begin (and to end) the meal. Chatty and teasing, he is wonderful to talk to, but also knows when to vanish again and let you enjoy your food. And you Will.Sweet heaven. The caliber of the food brought to our table is far higher than a glance at the tables on the patio or the slightly drippy geometric patterns on the wall prepares you for. The plating was frankly lovely, and the flavours were absolutely to die for, from the lemony, garlicky eggplant to the sizzling, olive-studded chicken tagine. I came looking specifically for the pastilla, and the cinnamon-and-sugar-dusted, chicken and almond-stuffed pastry did not disappoint. Ultimately, the three of us could not finish everything, so a few scraps of leftovers, and a significant amount of baklava got packaged to go home. I recommend it, honestly, let the experience last as long as you can.So- We live hours south of this precious little place with its long couches and little round bolster pillows, but we Will be back. I'm sure I can find some sort of excuse in the area to make my way back up again.Vegetarian options: A significant portion of the menu is vegetarian, including nearly all of the appetizers, and several other options including a tagine and a falafel gyro. There are also fish options for those who are pescatarian.Parking: We were there early on a Sunday so found a spot reasonably easily, but it will probably be more difficult later in the day, and it is metered.Wheelchair accessibility: It's walk-out with no steps and can easily accommodate a wheelchair.”
“We held the MOST beautiful bridal shower at Veekoo! The manager and staff were exceptionally accommodating, the event was lovely and the food - as always- was SUPERB!Thanks Veekoo!Dietary restrictions: Able to devise a menu for guests who were vegetarian, and who did and did not eat sushi”
“We’ve been to this location a number of times and it’s always really consistent. Favs are their pulled pork, Mac & cheese and cornbread but they have some new menu items we need to go back to try!Our most recent visit, the vibe was super family friendly and staff was so incredibly kind and considerate about food allergies. Will always continue to support!”
“I have only ordered take out. But everyone at Tiffin Bryn Mawr is so nice and professional. There was an issue one time with my order and they went above and beyond to fix it. Food is delicious!!”
“Tried this place out for the first time last night, first when you walk in, the atmosphere is very inviting, all the staff is super friendly and you can see by how they work, they put the same amount of attention in all the food they put out. Had their large plain square pizza and it was delicious, the crust was crispy but also soft and chewy on the inside and had great flavor, the sauce tasted amazingly fresh. Also had their hand breaded wings, and they were amazing as well, nice and crispy on the outside, but not over cooked on the inside, I feel like some places either have wings super crispy on the outside, but the inside is dry, or the outside is soggy but the inside is fine. Johnny's has hit that sweet spot in regards to the texture of their wings. Seriously consider checking out the gem of a place.”
