“They serve a demanding clientele who can afford to get their baked goods anywhere yet the place is always busy.In my experience over the last 20+ years they have never disappointed.Outstanding quality and reliable results every time.Prepare to be delighted. Their buttercream icing is sublime.Great service from nice people’s too.“
“Good when it's good but not consistent lately, sometimes the bagels are overcooked a little and end up less chewy. When they are made well its the best bagel around. I really like their whitefish salad and veggie cream cheese on an everything bagel. Tasty especially if you like garlic.“
“From the tasting to after the wedding, Bredenbeck’s was amazing! The cake came out EXACTLY how I expected it to. It was beautiful! And it tasted amazing! All of my guests really loved every layer (each one was a different flavor). We had a small issue with the filling but Bredenbeck’s rectified the issue right away and took accountability! I look forward to visiting them for another cake order in the future!“
“It is hard to articulate the artistry that went into the creation of my very special birthday cake but the Night Kitchen Bakery did it. I had a special birthday this year and some great friends were flying in to help me celebrate. I had traveled with these friends and had many wild experiences, one of which was a very specific picture this fantastic bakery not only replicated flawlessly but made it oh so much better. Yes the cake photo attached is a cake - a DELICIOUS mocha cake that was as good as the artistry was on the outside. If you want a delicious cake, they're the place to go to. And if you want something out of the park special to complement that delicious cake, there is no other choice that Night Kitchen Bakery. Thank you so so much!“
“I'm not sure I could really formulate a sentence that would properly convey how truly good, tasty, and awesome! their food is. The breakfast sandwiches, the croissants, just all of it. All I can say is no matter your distance, it's worth the trip for this place. I am ~35 mins away and I will go the distance. I also lucked out to have some work projects in Philly and MUST always make the detour to here.“
“Just moved into the neighborhood & decided to take a walk. I saw this tucked inside a little shopping center & now I regret it. Should have stuck with Dunkin Donuts bc after eating an everything bagel w/cream cheese from there, I’m addicted. I almost walked back for another one it was that good AND I don’t want to be addicted to another carb. Lol. I more than likely will get my fix tomorrow. Great customer service & very friendly. I have a new bagel place.“
“Ordered the sweetest, in taste and cuteness, cupcakes for my daughters first birthday! They were DELICIOUS! Everyone loved them! Ordered online and picked up from the bakery! Everything was so easy and everyone was so nice! Will recommend to everyone! Thank you!“
“Flakely is not your typical gluten free bakery. Here you'll give an outstanding assortment of croissants, bagels, brioche, in addition to white sandwich loafs and more.Check their website for pickup or walk-up hours and product availability.“
“Beautiful little spot for a cup of coffee and tasy treats in bustling center city west. Fantastic art. They also have roasted coffee. Unfortunately, this location has a large step up to get in, getting inside is not easily accessible for people with mobility challenges.“
“I was in here this morning. I had the Stella Bicuit Sandwich. Let me tell you something. Baaaaaaby it was delicious. Also tasted a cinnamon sugar biscuit with ice cream and the strawberry glazed biscuits are to die for. Thank you for the experience and I will be back.?????♥️☺️“
“I didn't even put in my custom order yet. But I just have to say this place is so good! The service was good. The shop itself is cute. And the cupcakes that I tasted, tastes like these people bake out of love for their neighborhood! Yup, putting in my order now!!????????? More to come...“
“This has been my go-to bakery since I lived in Philly! Always a great selection & variety of items with the ability to try something different each time you visit. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious and will keep coming back! Also some great gluten-free and vegan options there as well.“
“LOVE the cookies here - owner is super cool as well. Way better than many other cookie places out there - you know who I mean!My favorite is the Snickerdoole and the Smores. Also a pro they use way cleaner ingredients than almost any other bakery around!“
“You know this place is popular when there are people waiting outside the door at 9am right before this place opens. It was my first time here and upon arriving, 2 people were waiting to get in and 3 more trickled in minutes later. A line started to form and people are trying to get the tomato pie. I place an order for the regular tomato pie a few days ago over the phone but when I went to pick it up they didn't have my name. Luckily they had extras so I didn't have to order another. My friends really enjoyed the tomato pie so it's definitely as good as people say. Just be sure to double check the day before if you placed an order with them.“
“This hidden gem of a pastry shop is starting to make a big name for itself. The word is out that this is the must try bakery in Swarthmore. Nestled behind a home in Swarthmore this adorable little pastry shop fills the whole neighborhood with the smell of croissants, muffins, cupcakes and more. The owner greets all customers with a giant smile. You can eat in the magical garden or take it to go! We got cupcakes and a chocolate brownie that was to die for! Put Pastry Pants on your To Do list! You will not regret it.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free optionsParking: Behind the house on Cornell, open the gate and follow the sweet smell to the bakery.Kid-friendliness: A kids dream! Yum!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible.“
“I am not one to leave a review but I must share how amazing this bakery was to work with and how beautiful and delicious their cake was! Not only were they able to accommodate my custom cake request super last minute but they brought the inspiration photo I sent them to life in the form of the most flavorful cake that left all our guests raving and wanting more. The only downside was the fact that we didn’t have any left over to enjoy the next day! This will for sure be our go to bakery going forward!“
“Little Miss Moffitt has been a tremendous partner with American Eagle 1 Chimney. We partner with Karen for our thank you program to our valued customers. Her products and attention to detail are top notch. I highly recommend Little Miss Moffitt for your corporate gifting needs.“
“The man working behind the counter today was a KING. My friend and I stopped by for the first time and it was really close to closing. I was expecting to just kinda get in, fuel my sugar addiction, and leave. But this guy was LITERALLY. SO. NICE. We had a great conversation with him, and he was even kind enough to offer us two donuts and some cookies on the house. Not only that but those along with everything else we got tasted absolutely immaculateeee 10/10“
“I was in a pinch and only had a week to order a birthday cake. I Want Moore was able to make a HUGE cake for my 25+ guest. Not only was it nicely decorated, it was absolutely delicious. I cannot wait for an excuse to order another cake from them. So yummy!!!“
“Had a wonderful experience with Ale’s. I found them on a whim through Google, saw their amazing reviews and gave them a call! I ordered a Black Forest Cake for my dad’s birthday and it was WONDERFUL! The most beautiful cake, and it tasted just as good. My communication was via phone call and text, and payment was online. I placed the cake order a few days before pickup. I appreciated the quick turn request. All my family enjoyed the cake, and I can’t wait to celebrate with Ale’s Bakery again!“
“Absolutely love it here. Consistently good food, lovely staff, quick service. I recommend getting a croissandwich for salty with any of their pastries for sweet (chocolate almond is a favorite). The owners are often coming up with new flavors to try and cute presentations like the photo I’ll attach from around Christmas. Our go-to for getting a treat in town. I can’t recommend it enough.Vegetarian options: Croissants, croissandwiches , Bahn-mi“
“This small bakery is underrated in Norristown, I recently started coming in the mornings, they have delicious fresh buñuelos and empanadas. Recommend everyone one try this place. I will definitely continue to be a frequent customer to try more things in their menu! Friendly service and cleanliness is a plus!“
“Given the number of various establishments at this location that have come and gone over the last few decades, the fact that Vibrant has now been here well over two years speaks for itself. The Rittenhouse Square neighborhood was relatively coffee-free for years, and thankfully several places have popped up recently. This is the best of the lot. Coffees and baked goods are consistently excellent. Baristas are usually pleasant. Unless money isn’t a concern for you, however, be advised that a regular plain coffee is around $4, and prices go up from there, so Vibrant is not the best place to frequent often. The space itself is pretty tiny, there’s no real room to sit inside, which leads to lines out the door every weekend morning and when there’s an event going on in the Square. There are some small tables outside the entrance on Locust Street. That’s it, so by necessity business is mostly takeout. Worth it for an occasional treat/splurge.“
“I went in here for the first time today. It’s amazing! I bought several different treats and they are so delicious! It’s so nice to find a place to purchase homemade GF/DF/NF baked goods. Can’t wait to go back again! Go support this business! YUM!“
“I’m so impressed how they recently upgraded the quality of items from good to great! I’ve had multiple croissants that were delicious with amazing lamination and an almond tart that was also amazing. Bread is excellent quality. All well priced too!“
“This bakery was recommended as the best place for tres leches cake in the area and it didn't disappoint. I got a neapolitan and it was absolutely delicious! It was so fun to have three different cake flavors in one! I can't wait to go back with my family and sample some “
“Picked up cannolis to try. Parking was easy and accessible. The lady at the counter was nice and freshly filled the cannolis when we ordered them. The space was clean, not cramped and not busy when we got there. The cannolis were good. The filling was creamy and rich with some chocolate chips and other chunks that I'm not sure what they were. the cannoli shell had a nice crunch and texture.“
“Ashley’s Cake Shoppe is the best bakery I’ve ever been to in my life. Everything is so delicious. I’ve tried 3 different desserts. Peach cobbler, strawberry crumble cheese cake and another one I can’t remember the name. I’ve never been disappointed. I promise you won’t be either.“
“Giving this spot 5 stars across the board because I have no complaints and I absolutely love the vibe here. My drinks were good, however I did not get any food the three times I've been. The matcha latte was excellent and I really enjoyed the mocha latte!“
“SERIOUSLY good espresso on Penn’s campus. I take my espresso very seriously and this place does too. The baristas prep the espresso really well and the lattes, cortados, and cappuccinos are smooth, delicious, and flavorful. I recommend every coffee lover come here for a good drink and studying. I personally rank this among my favorites in the Ucity area.“
“Everything we tried was perfectly baked and utterly delicious. Had a variety of pastries including the best sellers : almond croissant, strawberry crème croissant. My favorite was the Greek yogurt & cherry. Can’t wait to explore more flavors and other offerings….“
“I’ve been meaning to try this place for awhile and I’m glad I stopped in! Very friendly and accommodating staff and the owner was so welcoming and kind. He spent the time to greet my baby and me and even made a complimentary Greek yogurt and fruit dish for my baby. The food was so fresh and delicious. The coffee was very good as well. Felt like a small town cafe. Will be coming back every time I’m in the area! I hope they open another restaurant in Delaware County.“
“My husband has celiac but was also insisting that we have a wedding cake for us to cut at our wedding. None of the Italian bakeries in Philadelphia offer GF so I looked around for other bakeries and found High Fidelity. I stopped in one day to see if they could make a custom cake for us — not only did they do that with only a weeks notice but the cake turned out beautiful and absolutely delicious! Brady and Janette were incredibly kind and helpful and we can’t wait to try everything else they make!“
“Such a great place! I went a few months ago and things were good but OH MY!! I went again today and everything was AMAZING! We were one of the first people in shop and the selection was actually overwhelming! So many options and everything has been great so far. I’m actually a vegan bakery owner myself BUT when traveling love to try other treats & I was super happy about all the treats. Also, the staff working was super friendly, helpful and just overall great to chat with. I immediately texted a fellow vegan friend and sanctuary owner about my experience and what treats I grabbed so he knows to stop next time he’s in the area as well! ❤️❤️“
“Straight up hidden gem in a random regular person neighborhood - makes you feel like you found your own secret to stumble upon this place.Pastries were to die for and priced right. Had to be just about the best lavender latte we ever had too. ☕️“
“I ordered one of the pre-designed cakes for my soon to be sister-in-law’s bridal shower and I could not have been happier with how it turned out! The cake was beautiful, tasted as good as it looked, and was a huge hit at the shower. The ordering was simple, they were thorough with directions and the time slot pick up. I cannot wait to order from here again!“
“I heard getting tomato pie here is a must, so on our last work trip to the area, my husband and I had to try it.We shared:- Classic Red Tomato Pie- Sweet Pepper Pie- Pepperoni PieThe classic tomato pie was fantastic. I'm no expert, but of the ones I've had in Philly, it's hands down the best.I didn't realize the Sweet Pepper pie was just peppers and bread, so I probably wouldn't get that again. I did enjoy the Pepperoni, but the classic was so good, I would probably just get more of it next time. The craziest part of this experience was how cheap it is. Each of the pies is between $5 and $6 and they're big. The three my husband and I got were too much food for the entire day. There's no seating, so you have to take your food to go.I'll definitely be back here next time I have a work trip!“
“First of all--I'm glad to be introduced to another Black owned bakery! And the customer service is great. My aunt located this place when looking for treats for my grandma's bday. Everything was delicious and were a hit with the family, including the cookies. They really have too many cupcake options to choose from ?. I recently stopped by and tried the delicious sweet potato & strawberry shortcake cupcakes. I also have tried the Oreo and Turkey Bacon ones, which were good, too. I'm literally sad it's a Monday and can't wait until Wednesday to visit.“
“The best breakfast I've ever had! The Vegan Blueberry Pancake OMG!!! I could literally have this every day - can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes. Cute place, wonderful service!Vegetarian options: SO happy I could be a vegan and eat there!“
“Had an amazing experience for our child's birthday party. We reserved the playroom for our 3 year old and his 8 friends plus parents and some babies. The kids (ages 1-4) all had a blast in the play area which had a playground, lots of toys, and endless entertainment for the entirety of the party. They could have played there all night! There was plenty of room for all of the kids to sit and eat at a table and for the adults to relax and mingle. There was also plenty of room for us to setup food, beverages, and coolers in addition to what the bakery provided (pizza, juice, cupcakes). The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating! We definitely recommend for a memorable experience.“
“This place did a brilliant job of having very filling options on the menu that weren’t too heavy or calorie dense. This giant breakfast burrito was mainly filled with eggs and a little bit of refried beans. I left full but not feeling gross, which is a fine line to walk with a breakfast burrito. The lox and bagel was ordered by others at the table and it looked very similar - lots of of greens on the plate but they didn’t skimp on the lox or cream cheese. We all were glad to have picked this spot for our weekend brunch.“
“A little disappointed with selection for Easter- chocolate chip, sugar, brownie, lemon, and carrots cake. The only "fun" one was strawberry pretzel. Had a catering flyer and would have taken to keep handy, but no prices in it.But cookies were good - a little chewy and doughy with a little crisp on outside. Clean and modern storefront. Would probably try again.Parking: Pick up spots available right out front.Kid-friendliness: What kiddo doesn't like a good cookie? They have actual cookies baked on display, so you can see the size and offerings for the week.“
“I absolutely adore the cookies at this place! They're not just good; they're downright phenomenal. One of the things that sets them apart is their size - they're huge! And when they say they're always hot, they mean it. There's nothing quite like sinking your teeth into a warm, freshly baked cookie that practically melts in your mouth. From the moment you step in and catch a whiff of that irresistible aroma to the last crumb on your plate, the experience is nothing short of heavenly. Each bite is a delightful combination of soft, gooey goodness and rich, indulgent flavor. Whether you're a cookie connoisseur or just someone with a sweet tooth, these cookies are guaranteed to leave you craving more. Trust me, once you've tried them, you'll be hooked!“
“I enjoy Highpoint so much. The food is always delicious. I love the savory quiches. I’m pretty plain ordering herb tea or decaffeinated coffee. On the day we went there was only one staff for a very busy and full cafe. I hope the owners pay their people well and wish they had a plan for a sub to help out. Our barista was working very hard.“
“Great, old time ice cream place. This would be the perfect spot to visit after a baseball game!I took my kids for an ice cream on a lazy Sunday afternoon this summer. The place was packed! However, the line moved fast.My younger son ordered the mint chocolate chip ice cream and my older son tried the moose tracks. (I took a taste of both)The mint chocolate chip was so delicious, it reminded me of ice cream I got from a little candy shop up in Northern Wisconsin when I was a kid. My older son said that their moose tracks was the best he's ever had.We will definitely go back!Only wish they had some gluten free cones or cookies.“
“The most amazing cookies! This store is clean, the staff provide quick service, and of course, the cookies are absolutely delectable. So far, I have tried the blueberry muffin, chocolate chip, wedding cake, brownie sundae, and Kentucky butter cake. I plan to go back on a weekly basis for their specialty flavors. All in all, I recommend this location to pick up a sweet treat and smile!“
“A Conshocken gem. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I have ordered pizza’s for celebrations, high school and college sporting events, and work events. Call the day before. Their design stencils are a hit. Love the fact that generation of family are working there. Yesterday’s 3 sheets of pizza were gone in no time.“
“The crepes are great, and there are plenty of good vegetarian savory options, especially looking at the build your own option. The side salad is a highlight! We also tried the French toast crepe, which has an egg incorporated into the batter. Interesting. The espresso is good but the cappuccino is weird; they don't pour the milk through the crema at all, so it's mostly foam on top of a single shot. It can be folded through but I think next time I'd just get an espresso here. I really like that they have reusable cutlery and crockery, and service is brisk even when they're crowded. They also have a bunch of pastries if you're looking to grab and go. No parking lot but free street parking up to two hours. Friendly staff.“
“I am so glad this place exists! The food is delicious.I almost gave 4 stars only because I was disappointed that they didn't have any weekend brunch items like pancakes, French toast, or home fries.I had their breakfast sandwich and my husband had the fig and brie sandwich. Both were DELICIOUS. Their mocha was 10/10. It was soooooo good. I will definitely be coming back here again and again!“
“The OG cookie shop-insomnia and crumble have a lot to learn from Hopes! It’s been around forever and it was just as good as I remember. I stopped by for my daughter’s birthday treat. Expensive but not crazy. It’s an indulgence. The service was ok, but nowadays service is not great at most places.Parking: Parking is off of main road and an be a little dangerous.“
