“Excellent! What a lovely experience. Great ambience, fantastic staff and even better food & cocktails. They were very accommodating for my gluten sensitivity, and when we called, they took their time to go over the entire menu identifying items they could make gf. The Florist and The Beekeeper were tasty cocktails. We had the meatballs and the smashed & fried potatoes for appetizers, the scallop risotto and chicken with gnocchi for our mains, and then the s’mores pot de crème. Get. Out. We will definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“

“I order takeout from here occasionally, but it's been a while since I've dined there. So I went with some people for lunch one day since we were in the area after a networking event. It wasn't crowded, but felt full with a good number of people having lunch/brunch.The staff were all pretty friendly. We were seated right after walking in and the service was a good pace throughout the entire dining experience. We all ordered something different but seemed to enjoy what we got. One person ordered one of the sandwich specials, another ordered the Mel's Chicken Sandwich and I got the Sante Fe Turkey Burger with sweet potato fries. It was very tasty, filling and served at the right temperature. I also had their Blueberry Lemonade which was really good.As always, a reliable place for a good meal. I recommend coming for brunch or course, but lunch is a good option too.“

“Absolutely loved the Sundae. Potato chips and kettle corn must be in all of my sundaes going forward. The latkes were phenomenal - must order. The harissa broccoli was delish. The burrata and focaccia was a delightful favourite. The Caesar salad was overdressed and the croutons were too hard for my preference. The pepperoni pasta was exactly that - not the worst but it was something I'd make drunk in my kitchen at 3 am. Fries were meh.A solid 4 on the food front. Go just for the decor alone, feeling like I was in an 80s golf clubhouse. The pool table is cute and fun too.“

“First time at River Twice.Met up with some favorite friends from my American Water days. Interesting approach to a menu. There was a $75 fixed tasting menu and then a set of optional extras. I went with the soft shell crab special and everyone else did the burger (since we specifically came on burger Monday). This is a cozy small restaurant in the heart of Philly. We were seated at the counter and were able to watch the food prep. Pretty cool. Service was excellent. Food was outstanding.Plenty of food to satisfy your hunger in the tasting menu alone, but I am glad we added the extras. The starter was raw Maine scallops in a crème sauce.Unbelievably good! This was followed by the NJ sushi rice with smoked steelhead.Well made, filling, and slightlyunremarkable. The mackerel, steamed cabbage and sweet potato made up for it with a perfect bite of these three ingredients! My soft shell crab was very unusual, in a good way, with an interesting creamy sauce and pickled onions. The burger was outstanding!! Lots of nuanced flavors going on. Finally, the winter citrus creamsicle was fun, creative, light, and the perfect ending to a super cool dining experience. Highly recommend River Twice for the adventurous eater!“

Gave us a very good first impression of this place. The service could be improved. The first 10 minutes we sat down, no one stopped by for water or introduction. The server was okay when he was presented in the area. However he would occasionally disappear for quite long time. We waited pretty long for our check and had to have someone else give us the check. After the long waiting, we saw a sprite we didn’t order appeared on the bill. He was able to take it off, but with the waiting we were a little bit out of patience. In summary, definitely will come back and recommend this place. It’s perfect for casual lunch when you don’t know what you want.“

“If you're a cheesesteak aficionado like me, then this spot is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. First off, let's talk about the star of the show - the cheesesteak itself. It's evident that they take pride in using only the freshest ingredients, with the steak never seeing the inside of a freezer. The soft sesame seed wedge perfectly complements the juicy, flavorful meat. And speaking of meat, they don't skimp on quality here. Wagyu, rib eye, and NY strip - need I say more? Each bite is a savory symphony of premium beef. What truly sets this place apart is their commitment to cooking each cheesesteak to order. No dried-out meat sitting on the side of the grill here. Every sandwich is crafted with care, ensuring maximum freshness and flavor. Now, I'll admit, the price may be a tad higher than your average cheesesteak joint, but trust me, it's worth every penny. You're paying for top-notch ingredients and impeccable craftsmanship. And the customer service was on point! From the friendly greeting at the door to the attentive staff throughout our meal, they made us feel like valued guests. If you're in downtown Philly craving a cheesesteak experience that's a cut above the rest, look no further. This place delivers on quality, flavor, and hospitality. Can't wait to come back for more!!“

“We made a 7 man reservation at 9pm for I and a friend’s birthday. We enjoyed a chefs tasting menu since it was so late and, from that, I can say that every dish here is made exceptionally well. Every morsel of food was an amazing experience and a blend of complex flavors. The pasta and protein was hearty and cooked to perfection, and the desserts were phenomenal. The fusion of savory and sweet is utilized masterfully at Chez Hansi, in a way I’ve never never experienced before. I ofttimes had to look at the kitchen in shock, since I couldn’t believe that the meal was coming from one (incredibly skilled) chef in a home sized kitchen. This place is an experience, and anyone looking to have exceptional food should be excited to eat at Chez Hansi. Maybe even honored.“

The only issue is that you have to go all the way to the basement to use the restroom and you aren’t able to take the stairs to exit out the first floor. It’s funny, it’s an experience. Great customer service IMO.Y’all need to update your address or business page on google maps, this location shows one place. I saw another location on your website, this review is for the truck at 3400 Fox St. I’m not even sure what this business page address is for. Maybe this is an old location?Onto the chicken cheesesteak. I got one with fried chicken tenders inside, lettuce, and I think they put some kind of hot sauce as well. The bread this comes on is incredible. If you want anything HEALTHY, DO NOT come here, I’m reading that it’s deep fried bread. Whatever they do to it, I could’ve ate it alone. The fried chicken inside is seasoned well. It’s kinda too much and falls apart as a result but who cares, eat some first with a fork then eat the rest. I got fries here but they were just okay. “Another wonderful dining experience at the Valley Green Inn. This time my party of four came for Sunday brunch. We were happily surprised with a complementary basket of warm mini muffins. Which went very well with our glasses of very reasonably priced and good dry white. Two of us had the crabcake sandwich with fries which was delicious. my other two dining companions had salads – one a beautiful quinoa, and the other a large salad with chicken, both of which they enjoyed. Now, the service! We were fortunate to get Tristan again as our server. He was a delight as usual with attentive and upbeat service. As I said, a wonderful dining experience – good food, good service, and the beautiful ambience of the Wissahickon . What could be better. “

“One of the best new restaurants in Philly, and it’s BYO! Delicious forward-thinking dishes & excellent service in a quaint Philly row home. Menu is a fixed price and changes often. Included in the price is an appetizer, entree, and dessert.I have been at least 5 times since moving to this neighborhood. I have yet to have any dish that was not excellent. The menu is always creative, the dishes colorful, and service friendly. Cannot recommend enough!“

“Visited for lunch on a sunny Sunday. Solid wine and beer list and fantastic food! The only downside was that there is limited seating and we were near the windows. The sun was streaming in and there was no window shade. Not only were we warm, we ate the whole meal with the sun in our eyes! I’m hoping they fix this issue bc it’s an easy fix and the food was truly delicious“

“I love this place. The food is excellent. I’ve really enjoyed the three different meals I’ve had there. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the extensive draft list. The music is a nice touch. Records are selected by the bartenders and played on a turntable. Definitely my favorite spot for drinks and food when we’re in the neighborhood.“

“On Point was very on point with our brunch. It's a BYOB spot in heart of Point Breeze with some great flavors and vibes. The group sampled quite a few starters including wings and cheesesteak egg rolls. For the main meal I had to go with the Challah French Toast. Unique flavor especially with the cheese and nuts. The group really enjoyed all the food. Our server TJ was also awesome. Made some great suggestions. Catch me back at on point in the summer.“

“I'm a historian. In my recent researches I found that there were several Catholic churches built in the Philadelphia area that were torn down suddenly in the 1800s and this Applebee's location was built atop one of them. The researches aren't clear why they were torn down so quickly and hidden from the historical record but there was also a scandal of priests studying dark texts at the same time, also hidden from history. When stepping across the threshold I felt a chill run down my spine. I was seated promptly and color drained from everything in my view. My server Nadia was very nice, I appreciated her attentiveness and prompt and courteous demeanor. Stepping into the bathroom I did note that the foundation seemed to be cracking and a curl of a mist casting a sense of gloom was emerging from this chasm.I knelt down and a sulfurous hint of brimstone hit me. I assume this was a plumbing issue, which will probably be resolved soon. Leaving the bathroom and passing by the kitchen door as it swung open, the seating area was struck in the sharp shadows of intense flames dancing across the walls. There were also screams.I can recommend the grilled chicken and shrimp dish, but would not recommend the Mac and cheese dish.“

“Service, speed, and pricing was top notch. The "special" soda was just ok. Nothing much different than a typical soda. The cheesesteak was a good size, but very under filled. Flavor was good. Roll was more crisp and greasy than typical. I'd eat again but doesn't make my top 3.“

“We made a reservation at Mish Mish but there was some unorganized pop up bar there that night so we found this gem across the street from them. The food was great and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I had the surf and turf. No actual lobster but lobster sauce drizzled over steak which wasn’t bad for the price point.“
