“First Watch is a chain; thus, their approach is the same: I personally ate breakfast in one in Greenville, Delaware.A very healthy breakfast:1. Hot oatmeal--seems to be new to the menu. lots of generously-sized raw fruit mixed throughout. Although some milk and raw sugar were supplied, the sweetner was not really needed.2. A healthy, cold, vegetable drink of kale was tasty, but with way too much ice--giving me, of course, less to drink.3. A delightfully-tasty grilled blueberry muffin was part of the mix.4. I was told I HAD to order FOUR pieces of bacon (I wanted two) . I declined to order it. Turns out they aceded to my request.5. My moderate breakfast came to $21.28 with a 20% tip--a little steep to me, but still very enjoyable!“
“We went here only because the restaurant we were going to was too crowded, and lucky us!I had the Original Crispy Chicken sandwich with Pepperjack cheese on a pretzel bun, and, well, it was very reminiscent of Popeye's chicken sandwich, and that's a great comparison, yes, it was terrific, fresh, tasty, perfectly cooked. My companion had a Bacon Cheeseburger, and she was uncharacteristically thrilled with it. In fact, I blinked and it was gone. The only complaint is the acoustics inside are poor.Well worth your trip to m2o...“
“Dinner was delicious! We had a lovely time at this restaurant.. our waiter Nash was very attentive and friendly. My husband ordered a drink he wasn't fond of it...ask to change it. Nash was more than accommodating..he brought him a couple of other options to try. Out meals were delicious as was our tuna appetizer. A great experience for our first dinner in Philly.“
“Fantastic experience. The service was top notch. Jeremy was our waiter and his kind, warm, and friendly demeanor made me feel right at home! The food was great as well and I really enjoyed my cocktail, El Toro. The food was great and biscuits they give you before your meal were to die for!“
“Everything was OUTSTANDING.FOOD 10/10 starter - main platter - dessertSERVICE 10/10 super nice people and also they brought us a candle and a little cake four our anniversary :).This is something else in the area, by faaaar the best place that I ever been in Philly!“
“Ioved the food it was my first time here and the size portions are really good. I'd suggest seeing if you can get a window seat or outside seat for best atmosphere experience. <3They also have a gluten free option with bread so that was a nice suprise!!“
“Absolutely loved the Sundae. Potato chips and kettle corn must be in all of my sundaes going forward. The latkes were phenomenal - must order. The harissa broccoli was delish. The burrata and focaccia was a delightful favourite. The Caesar salad was overdressed and the croutons were too hard for my preference. The pepperoni pasta was exactly that - not the worst but it was something I'd make drunk in my kitchen at 3 am. Fries were meh.A solid 4 on the food front. Go just for the decor alone, feeling like I was in an 80s golf clubhouse. The pool table is cute and fun too.“
“Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian dishes, but I knew that going in. It's a Southern inspired restaurant with a heavy focus on meat and seafood dishes - ribs, chicken, short rib, crawfish, shrimp, etc. I made it work and was not the least bit disappointed. The service was excellent and the drinks were delicious. The blue cheese stuffed olives in the martini were incredible.“
“First time at River Twice.Met up with some favorite friends from my American Water days. Interesting approach to a menu. There was a $75 fixed tasting menu and then a set of optional extras. I went with the soft shell crab special and everyone else did the burger (since we specifically came on burger Monday). This is a cozy small restaurant in the heart of Philly. We were seated at the counter and were able to watch the food prep. Pretty cool. Service was excellent. Food was outstanding.Plenty of food to satisfy your hunger in the tasting menu alone, but I am glad we added the extras. The starter was raw Maine scallops in a crème sauce.Unbelievably good! This was followed by the NJ sushi rice with smoked steelhead.Well made, filling, and slightlyunremarkable. The mackerel, steamed cabbage and sweet potato made up for it with a perfect bite of these three ingredients! My soft shell crab was very unusual, in a good way, with an interesting creamy sauce and pickled onions. The burger was outstanding!! Lots of nuanced flavors going on. Finally, the winter citrus creamsicle was fun, creative, light, and the perfect ending to a super cool dining experience. Highly recommend River Twice for the adventurous eater!“
“Definitely the best meal I've had in a while. I sat at the bar and felt welcomed like I was in someone's home. The bartender was attentive but gave us space. I had the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. Would recommend to a friend and absolutely return.“
“Food... Amazing!! Service... Fantastic!! Atmosphere... Cozy!!I highly recommend this restaurant. I enjoy the delicious food (especially the Salmon Freekah Salad and Pistachio Sticky Bun) and the Brown Butter Artichoke Borekas are everything!!! After a year of coming here, I've tried nearly everything on the menu ? Owner, Chef Mike Solomonov is incredibly generous!!!“
“Amazing little bar with a great beer selection and excellent bar food. The wings were among the best I’ve ever had (and I’m from Alberta - we take wings seriously!) knowledgeable server and very friendly. They put a lot of care into the food and drink of this bar and it shows.“
“Food was delicious! I moved out of town. Came back for a visit. Down Home Diner did not disappoint. There no place like Philly when it comes to good food.Sorry, I'm partial to my home town ✔️Food was so good we forgot to get a good photo (my bad)“
“Everything about Laurel is outstanding. From the care of the server to the magnificent bursts of flavor each morsel of food brought to my mouth. There have been only two restaurants that have wowed my taste buds in recent years and both are creations of Nicholas Elmi!“
“A combination of my favorite two vocab: “Brunch”+ “Buffet”. And the food is good! The girls at the reception were so sweet and helpful. Gave us a very good first impression of this place. The service could be improved. The first 10 minutes we sat down, no one stopped by for water or introduction. The server was okay when he was presented in the area. However he would occasionally disappear for quite long time. We waited pretty long for our check and had to have someone else give us the check. After the long waiting, we saw a sprite we didn’t order appeared on the bill. He was able to take it off, but with the waiting we were a little bit out of patience. In summary, definitely will come back and recommend this place. It’s perfect for casual lunch when you don’t know what you want.“
“Ishkabibbles who, Geno's what, Delasandros where....OMG?!!!??Thee absolute best cheesesteak I've EVER tasted????(we had "the Jerrick") I did not leave one crumb! The owner(makes you feel like family)came in and gave us ???& conversation, staff was attentive. 10/10 we'll def be back again!A1?, top tier? and cooper sharp? & is all you need!Kid-friendliness: They have a kid menu.“
“This is the second year in a row that my DAR group held our Women's History themed tea at Elwood. Stellar service, I tried things I never normally would like the scrapple (not a fan of it generally), it was a little piece of heaven! All the food is small bites for tea service. The chicken salad on a mini croissant ?. The biscuits, clotted cream, strawberry jam made by the owner's mother! Absolutely scrumptious!!!“
“We made a 7 man reservation at 9pm for I and a friend’s birthday. We enjoyed a chefs tasting menu since it was so late and, from that, I can say that every dish here is made exceptionally well. Every morsel of food was an amazing experience and a blend of complex flavors. The pasta and protein was hearty and cooked to perfection, and the desserts were phenomenal. The fusion of savory and sweet is utilized masterfully at Chez Hansi, in a way I’ve never never experienced before. I ofttimes had to look at the kitchen in shock, since I couldn’t believe that the meal was coming from one (incredibly skilled) chef in a home sized kitchen. This place is an experience, and anyone looking to have exceptional food should be excited to eat at Chez Hansi. Maybe even honored.“
“Meaning 'cozy' in Danish, this place lives up to its name. It's one of our go-to's in the neighborhood and they've been so consistent over the years. Great brunch/dinner menu + craft brews coupled with a welcoming staff and ambiance.“
“Am really happy to have this place in the neighborhood! Great little brunch spot. Went at 1030 on a Sunday and didn’t have to wait for a table - but started to fill up pretty quickly after that. Service was great. Casual atmosphere but still nice. Two of us got the huevos rancheros and would definitely get again! Coffee good. They special made a bagel breakfast sandwich for my kiddo. They also take credit cards which is always so nice! Would recommend and go backKid-friendliness: They have a small kids menu with chicken fingers and grilled cheese and breakfast items“
“Came here for the espresso martini crawl and would come back for a regular meal. The staff was friendly and approachable. The Hugh Hefner espresso martini was a unique twist, at first I wasn’t too sure about it, but after the second sip, it was one of my favorites. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.“
“Food was fresh and fantastic. It's considered new American food and I think the menu might rotate seasonally. It's recommended that you get 2 or 3 small plates per person plus an entree.Probably not kid friendly, the place is on the smaller side and not sure if they have high chairs.“
“Food was so great - we ordered the blue crab fries, salmon, short rib, and shrimp scampi. Our server was so friendly and attentive. The restaurant was cozy and had such a cool design. Would like to go back and sit on the bar side or the patio!“
“Our server Elizabeth, along with all others who took care of us, created a spectacular experience for our family. Our celebration was special and they were sure to enhance it, including a special card for the guest of honor. Our meals were spectacular from drinks to desserts.“
“This was the second time in 7 months we came to Jean George for a special occasion and were not disappointed. Both times we had the tasting menu and both times we were intrigued with the many delicious courses. We also included the wine pairing which brought to light many different wines, that we knew nothing about, if not for the sommelier's amazing choices. Each plate was beautifully presented, and every glass of wine was described. The meal was served over several hours but we never felt that the meal lagged. It was a luxurious experience that made us both have a feeling of being pampered. I would suggest Jean George to anyone who enjoys French cuisine. The food, service, and ambiance make this a destination restaurant for any type of celebration.“
“Good place doe breakfast in the middle of town. I had the eggs Benedict and it was very good. Coffee is good too, strong bold and hot. Waiter was friendly and checked with us often.Parking: Parking was very difficult to find. This place is in the middle of downtown around construction etc. Not their fault but something to consider for sure.“
“I’ve been here for brunch and happy hour. Great breakfast menu and the food is spectacular. The rooftop is a must see. The only issue is that you have to go all the way to the basement to use the restroom and you aren’t able to take the stairs to exit out the first floor. The happy hour food is great, but the drink offerings and discounts are thin. Something to be aware of: the “dirty double” martini is not actually a double, so that’s kind of misleading. Service and food are great though, so I definitely still recommend checking this place out!“
“We've been here several times since it opened, and have experienced good service and food each time. Several of the dishes have been on the menu each time, but some have been tweaked with different ingredients, making them a little different (even though the original was already worth trying again). The "Brown Butter" dessert, the name of which sounded rather unappetizing on our first visit, turned out to be one of the highlights. Definitely try it. Prices are also reasonable, for a more upscale establishment.Kid-friendliness: It's a quiet, intimate environment. Go for a date night and leave the kids with a sitter.“
“This place is wonderful we have been saying at a transplant house close by and thought we would give it a go ! It took a bit for a server to greet us at table we were sat at but no biggie our server was very sweet the food was delicious! Our drinks were yummy ? definitely will be back I do wish they would have bottle water available sux when ur transplant patient and can't have tap water ! But everything. Else absolutely ? ?“
“Had not eaten the food, so I can't comment. But having worked as a fine dining bartender in Los Angeles, I was blown away by their cocktails. Their menu made the mixology need in me geek out. My friend and I went there for a quick drink between movies on Christmas day. And we were very pleased with the experience.“
“Our waitress was phenomenal, and the food was perfect. The stuffed crepe’s texture and richness was amazing. Our rosy chicken was so lovely, the mango spread and truffles were wonderful accompaniment. And the financier for dessert was truly incredible. We will definitely be returning!“
“Finally got to try out Friday Saturday Sunday and overall had a good time, but wasn't blown away. Service was solid throughout and the drinks we tried were all tasty. My issue is that, when compared with other similar multi course options in Philly at the same price range, I wasn't impressed with the food. Everything was prepared perfectly fine, but overall dishes were either on the blander side (such as the fish and desserts) or odd (such as the sweetbread). The tortellini was fantastic though and a standout.Would I come back? Sure, if friends wanted to go. But there are other prix fixe restaurants I prefer in Philly at the moment.“
“Cute spot for a drink and bite to eat. We loved the thin crust on the pizza, the cheese and fried onion on the soup, and the pasta. The drinks here are lovely too! We have had drinks at the bar and dinner at a table, and both were positive experiences. One thing to note is that the place can get fairly crowded and feel a little claustrophobic. However, if you are used to restaurants in NYC, you will feel right at home.“
“Went to dinner with a group of girlfriends and we had a very memorable meal trying numerous dishes while seated at a large table nestled by the open kitchen. The charcoal inspired food is a great concept and all the dishes were fantastic. Our group ordered a bunch of food but I particularly enjoyed Cesar salad, radiatori pasta with lamb, whole fish (table favorite), and basque style cheesecake. Also the music playlist was on point. Kudos Chef Scott! Can’t wait to dine again :)“
“This space is breathtaking. From the first few steps in, you know it’s going to be a good food experience. Meticulous detail on decor and the dishes. We had an oyster appetizer, fresh and well treated. We tried their pasta dishes and the spicy chicken sandwich and neither disappointed. Hands down best restaurant in the city.“
“Redcrest Kitchen is the Cafe / Diner on 6th St. just a one block south of Philadelphia's famous South St.; In other words, it's right where all of the action is. On this rare rather warm Saturday (short sleeve shirt in Philadelphia in Mid-March-really?) we got a outdoor table for our brunch and basked in the sun. My wife shared a hotdog and Caesar salad with my sons girlfriend, my son also had a Caesar with an order of fries and I had their very good; 2 scrambled eggs A wedge of excellent hash browns Two breakfast sausages And some whole grain toast To say we were all "Happy Campers" with this first rate meal combined with accomplished service would be an understatement. Along with a not too expensive bill, made this trip to the Redcrest Kitchen an outstanding experience.“
“The food was delicious, albeit pricy, and was neatly complemented by the DJ set as part of their spring happy hour celebrations. I enjoyed just about every part of my experience, aside from moderately slow service. I'd still recommend this hotel-lobby-bar to anyone looking for a lightly upscale good time.“
“I saw this place on social media so wanted to check it out. You have an amazing idea here. I thought the Z thing was only for the menu but they have their employees substituting Z’s for everything. It’s funny, it’s an experience. Great customer service IMO.Y’all need to update your address or business page on google maps, this location shows one place. I saw another location on your website, this review is for the truck at 3400 Fox St. I’m not even sure what this business page address is for. Maybe this is an old location?Onto the chicken cheesesteak. I got one with fried chicken tenders inside, lettuce, and I think they put some kind of hot sauce as well. The bread this comes on is incredible. If you want anything HEALTHY, DO NOT come here, I’m reading that it’s deep fried bread. Whatever they do to it, I could’ve ate it alone. The fried chicken inside is seasoned well. It’s kinda too much and falls apart as a result but who cares, eat some first with a fork then eat the rest. I got fries here but they were just okay. I want to come back and try something else.“
“Once again, another wonderful meal! I ordered the Brussels sprout salad which I had not tried before. Glad I did! Lovely mix of crunchy sprouts, cranberries, walnuts, apple& Gorgonzola with dressing that complimented all of the flavors. Also had the salmon appetizer which is reliably excellent. Main courses of doradd & short rib delicious. I loved the chocolate cake & the “taste” of crème brûlée & ice cream are a great way to try several desserts. Veronica was lovely & helpful. Can't say enough nice things about Blackfish.“
“Visited for lunch on a sunny Sunday. Solid wine and beer list and fantastic food! The only downside was that there is limited seating and we were near the windows. The sun was streaming in and there was no window shade. Not only were we warm, we ate the whole meal with the sun in our eyes! I’m hoping they fix this issue bc it’s an easy fix and the food was truly delicious“
“Another wonderful dining experience at the Valley Green Inn. This time my party of four came for Sunday brunch. We were happily surprised with a complementary basket of warm mini muffins. Which went very well with our glasses of very reasonably priced and good dry white. Two of us had the crabcake sandwich with fries which was delicious. my other two dining companions had salads – one a beautiful quinoa, and the other a large salad with chicken, both of which they enjoyed. Now, the service! We were fortunate to get Tristan again as our server. He was a delight as usual with attentive and upbeat service. As I said, a wonderful dining experience – good food, good service, and the beautiful ambience of the Wissahickon . What could be better. “
“Celebrated a family member's birthday at Sunday brunch. Food was outstanding. Delicious and well prepared. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Recommend an early visit on weekends. No brunch reservations are taken. Waited 30 minutes on a Sunday at 10 am. Well worth the wait. Will definitely be returning.“
“My hubs tried the Birria burger tonight and wow, it was so delicious. He couldn’t finish it but it will make a tasty lunch tomorrow. Love that they are mixing up their menu a little bit. I had the pappardelle which was great too, although it is so heavy. I might suggest reducing the amount of burrata and adding some vegetable to balance out the dish. We really needed some good food tonight after a few underwhelming experiences recently and StoneRose came through for us!“
“On Point was very on point with our brunch. It's a BYOB spot in heart of Point Breeze with some great flavors and vibes. The group sampled quite a few starters including wings and cheesesteak egg rolls. For the main meal I had to go with the Challah French Toast. Unique flavor especially with the cheese and nuts. The group really enjoyed all the food. Our server TJ was also awesome. Made some great suggestions. Catch me back at on point in the summer.“
“Loved the service and the food! We had GF linguine with clams - clams were nice and tender( not overcooked like other places), Eggplant parm with spaghetti-eggplant parm was amazing - n tender, and chicken parm- excellent! Can't wait to go back to try their calamari. Lots of Vegan options too .Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian and vegan options. GF linguine is available on request.“
“I ran in to pick up takeout for after soccer. I did not want to leave! I wanted my husband to join me from Jersey! We are definitely coming back. Angel, the bartender was very friendly and accommodating. The food was prepared quickly and was delicious. The place was romantic and cool and chill all at the same time I did not catch the name of the performer tonight (Monday 3/18), but he was playing Classics adding to the atmosphere : Ring of Fire, Wagon Wheel, I’m on Fire.“
“One of the best new restaurants in Philly, and it’s BYO! Delicious forward-thinking dishes & excellent service in a quaint Philly row home. Menu is a fixed price and changes often. Included in the price is an appetizer, entree, and dessert.I have been at least 5 times since moving to this neighborhood. I have yet to have any dish that was not excellent. The menu is always creative, the dishes colorful, and service friendly. Cannot recommend enough!“
“Great live storytelling event! Intimate space. Drinks were good. Try out the duck cheesesteak. It was delicious! Definitely an elevated cheesesteak. Duck was very tender. It came with fries they were ok. No salt and some were way too soft. I like a little crunch on the outside.“
“I had a pretty great experience with my girlfriend and family on a Friday night - they were able to get us inside as the outside became fairly windy. Great food, good service - very pleasant and not a bad price at all.The only improvement could be the outdoors structure but apparently they are improving that soon too.“
“At this point, Sabrina’s is a MUST on our restaurant rotation. We haven’t had anything on the menu that wasn’t great. I’m not a chef, but everything seems to have a unique twist, or some really high quality ingredients that sets it over the top. This time (pictured) we had the Wild Mushroom Toast, the Philly Omelette, and the Huevos Rancheros. All amazing, and the portions are generous.I would also recommend the chicken & waffle (crispy perfection) and the breakfast tacos (best we’ve found since we left Texas. Don’t forget to ask for the sriracha!)The whole place seems to run like a well oiled machine, the staff are always nice and friendly, and the manager has helped us when we needed it.If you haven’t been before, it’s not the world’s biggest space, so expect some of the tables to be slightly close quarters. But definitely don’t let that deter you!“
