“Our first experience at a James Beard award winning restaurant (2017) and chef was incredible at Vernick Fish in Philadelphia to celebrate Trent’s graduation! I know now what this caliber of food and service means and all other restaurants pale in comparison to Vernick Fish and Greg Vernick(semi-finalist chef 2025). From the appetizers (dozen oysters from RI, MA, ME, PEI) to the drinks and main course were all uniquely exquisite and cannot be replicated anywhere else. The constant doting with new silverware at each course and cleaning of the table was undeniably royalty treatment. Even the bathroom was an experience-I need the hand lotion in my life (instantly made my hands look 30 years younger). The portions, ambiance and service were all equally perfect! I highly recommend you check out Vernick Fish. We will definitely return!“

“Came in close to closing time and I genuinely felt bad about it, but the staff was so gracious and got our orders in super fast. The inside is small, maybe 20 to 25 people max. We ordered a salad to share and five special rolls. The fish was super fresh and really plentiful in each roll, and everything was filling and delicious. Vegetarian options are available too which is always a plus. Huge thank you to the workers who took care of us and stayed a little past closing. Will definitely be back and plan to BYOB next time. Highly recommend!!“

“I was skeptical because I absolutely love eating meat. Meat and bbq is a huge part of my life. That being said dinner Saturday night was unbelievably fantastic. I absolutely loved everything that we ordered. Moms meatballs were my favorite dish. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that they are vegan. “The lady at the window is always nice! The Shrimp were good, of course. What I will say is, they are not the same size they used to be. Maybe because of the economy, understandably. I would pay for larger Sid Booker shrimps tho. The coleslaw was so good, kept simple, classic and fresh. Not fond of the fries. They've been better. Idk how to explain it. They are crispy but nothing is in the middle no soft potato, like a shell of a fry. Overall Philly staple shrimp place!“

We had them as servers on two separate occasions, and both provided outstanding service from start to finish. “Made reservations for my nieces birthday, was not aware they are open for breakfast and accidentally made the reservation for 7:15 am (not pm) luckily they were able to squeeze me in and were very sympathetic. It is located on the 60th floor, and has a windowed elevator to see the city as you rise, just incase someone fears heights I feel it’s a good bit of information. The food was good, wouldn’t say great but the service and atmosphere made it worth it.“

“Had an awesome night at Oltremare. The interior is seriously beautiful, one of those places where you walk in and immediately feel like you picked the right spot.
We grabbed seats at the bar and got taken care of by G, who made us feel like old friends from the second we sat down. Super attentive, great energy, and knew exactly how to guide us through the menu without it ever feeling forced.
We originally came in just for happy hour… and ended up staying for a full dinner. That alone should tell you everything. The food, the drinks, the vibe, all hit. Easily one of those spots you plan to come back to before you even leave.“
