“Ok so it was our first time going here and we just drove from Jersey where we reside and ate here.It took longer than expected to get our food but it was well worth it . Terell the owners 19yr old son showed up and showed of with great costumer service ,excellent food and yeah he put the presentation down on our platters. I gotta say it was really refreshing to hear and see a 19 yr old holding down a restaurant by himself while mom had the day of and he did her and us justice . “Everything was delicious! I had the seafood omelette, pancakes and we shared the shrimp and grits. The grits were buttery and creamy. The pancakes were fluffy and flavorful. Our waiter Dominique was kind and patient. His service was incredible. The seafood omelette was filled with small shrimp and real crab meat! The manager Eric Coleman checked on us too! “This food really made me smile. I'm always skeptical about soul food spots because the mac fails to be cheesy and the veggies lack flavor but this place did not disappoint. I had the shrimp and my husband had the fish and I must say I properly enjoyed my food. The only change I would've asked for was to cook the cabbage a little shorter because I prefer mines to be a bit more crunchy but even without that I properly enjoyed them. It also heats up well which is important for me because I can never eat all of my food. I would definitely recommend eating here if you enjoy properly seasoned food.“

The ribs OMG the ribs were so tender just melted in your mouth, would have been nice to taste more seasoning however they were delicious I will order them again. The yams…I’m not sure what I think about them, first time for me with the pineapple mixed in yams a little sweet. I will need to try them again…the collard greens, to me didn’t taste like they were seasoned, would have been great to have some smoked turkey meat or even flavor of the smoked meat. I thought they were bland! What I will say about those collard greens they were cleaned well, I could taste it! The cornbread was delicious and the Mac and cheese must of been good because my husband didn’t say otherwise. He also did like the greens and was very satisfied with the ribs as well.I can’t wait to go back and try other items on their menu.“

I must say this has been one of the best ones that I've had thus far. The crabs' legs were fresh, the shrimp was a nice size and not overcooked ?, the broccoli was nice and crisp, the corn was amazing, the potatoes was just right and the overall seasoning was perfect ??.
