“The food is delicious! My union had a black history dinner and Two Fish & Five Loaves catered the food! Very tasty and delicious! I don’t trust a lot soul food restaurants due to tons of sodium and grease but Two Fish & Five Loaves was just right! I will like to one day dine in. I highly recommend this place for catering!“

“This place is excellent. I bought my friend from Japan with his family and was happy to take them to Cornbread for some authentic soul food. Needless to say my friend and his family loved the experience. They were finishing a road trip throughout the US and they thought the food at Cornbread was some of the best they had in their month long journery. The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Cornbread Montclair as a solid business and a great place for delicious Soul Food.“

“The food and service at Tasha’s is great! My husband loves her food he won’t even let me cook him oxtails. He has had us try so many dishes and we are delighted everytime. The portions are large enough to eat a 2nd 3rd time depending on your appetite. There’s always dessert selections fresh in the fridge. And Tasha along with the family friendly staff are pleasant and welcoming. Now she sells her Oxtail Rub so you can try your hand at it. Overall I give Tasha 5 plus stars. Go see for yourself you won’t be disappointed…“

“Food was plentiful. Hot. And fresh. The potato salad tasted definitely homemade. Fried whiting was seasoned and hot. Mac n cheese could've been creamier but was seasoned well and hot. Great portions.

“I took food to my job and they loved I brought a pan of yellow rice cabbage and a $20 pan of potato salad and took it to my job cause we had a birthday party for a coworker. They loved the food they never had it before I live in South Amboy but I’m from Newark work in Matawan at the nursing home, and they never had the flu before they loved it. Good job, kings.“

We’ve had turkey wings, garlic string beans, chicken, sweetish meatballs, baked beans, salmon. The Chocolate crunch cake was so good. Ask about their vegan options. Thanks so much to the Weekend Staff!
