“Visiting from New Orleans and a friend took us here. I didn’t expect much from a soul food restaurant, since I am a southern girl and good cook I am told, BUT I WAS BLOWN AWAY!!! The JD turkey wings, Mac & Cheese, Cabbage and yams!! And don’t forget the potato salad. We LOVED EVERYTHING. The entire staff was friendly and professional. We will be back. It was five of us and we had the rib, chicken, turkey wings, …All cooked to perfection!“

“Reliable local pub! PJs on the Bay has tasty comfort food — the burger was juicy and well-seasoned, wings had great sauce, and the fish & chips were crispy. Service is friendly and quick, atmosphere is casual and welcoming (good spot to catch a game or unwind). Portions are generous, prices fair. Minor thing: can get loud on busy nights, but that's the pub charm. 4.5 stars — solid Sheepshead Bay hangout!

The barbecue chicken and sweet ribs were savory on the outside and juicy on the inside—mouthwatering. The collard greens and cabbage were seasoned to perfection. “I went to 95 South ( R&B Wednesdays)after a Birthday Dinner for my friend. And we partied up a storm, dancing to all the old school jams. The hospitality was very nice, from the bouncer, to our waitress and bartender. Shout out to James( supervisor) continued success.“

“First and foremost, the food was delicious!! I ordered the fried wings with cornbread stuffing and Mac & cheese, along with a turkey wings dinner (with collards & potato salad sides). EVERYTHING was seasoned to perfection and well portioned sides. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the wing sizes. For the amount I paid (if you know you know), I think the chicken should have been larger. What I received reminded me of the skimpy wings I'd get from the Chinese restaurant. Other than that, I really enjoyed Kate O's, and would definitely recommend others to stop by (just don't order the wings lol).“

“Many moons ago I used to visit a friend on Halsey and this would be our favorite spot for a truly great breakfast and it hasn't changed. I ordered via Uber while at my hair appointment and the grits...perfect, salmon cakes...delicious and the chocolate cake reminded me of my grandma's cake. If you want food that feels like home and made with love...this is it.“

“This was one of my favorite meals of the trip. Ayat serves Palestinian food and it's a beautiful restaurant. Service was warm and the server had great recommendations. We loved the mezze sampler (eggplant, hummus, and yogurt sauce were the best), pizzawarma, and above all, the mansaf w/ lamb shank (incredibly tender). Highly recommend checking this spot out, also byob.“

“My wife was a steady presence here born and bred in Brooklyn. I enjoyed take out once and finally was able to visit with my wife and visiting friends. The bartenders were attractive and friendly ready to take orders when we approached. The karaoke is taking seriously here with a cheers track when you complete your song. Good food and big tv screens playing sports ect.“

“The best vegan food I have ever had! I have been vegetarian almost 2 years now I drive almost 2 hours as often as I can to get some of this delicious food!!! Just got the cookbook the other day and will be trying my first recipe today I know it won’t even be half as good because of all the love she puts into her cooking!“

“So this hidden gem is AMAZING! I went with my family and I will never forget the hospitality. I had salmon and omg it was crispy on the outside and soft inside. It was the freshest salmon I tasted and was on a bed of rice so healthy and still tasty! I tasted a Turkish soda and it was fruity and the best combination of sweet and tangy The salmon SKIN was amazingly crispy! Yes the skin. This Turkish/Mediterranean place is a place I will forever go to and overlooked. The atmosphere of the place felt like me at home so laidback!“

“As soon you walk in you're greeted and asked if it's your 1st time. All to be given a sampler of greens, yams, wing and Mac and cheese. The crunch and flavor on the wing was everything. I ordered the whiting dinner with yams and tuna macaroni. Peach cobble and Big Tea fresh brewed. Would return to try more.“

“I visited this restaurant for the first time last summer, upon moving back from Florida and baby it did not disappoint. I went with my co-worker the other day and of course I loved it, but she did as well and is looking forward to going back. The staff is very helpful and great. Was some of the best soul food I’ve had in a long time, especially in NYC where we don’t always get the most authentic southern cuisine. Portion was enough to split between 2 people easily.
