“Always nice coming back to this little gem. They upped their martini game with caviar bumps for which we applaud them. Other than that expect it to be full most of the prime time but you’ll get in if you put yourself on the waitlist.Suitable for a date or drinks with besties.“
“Wonderful experience all around. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive. It was very helpful when it came to suggesting pairings. The wine and cocktail list is great. The food was really excellent. I recommend the Amberjack and Hamachi collar. Dessert, we had the mezcal flan. 10s across the board.“
“Great food and staff went above and beyond for a special request. We jokingly asked if they could make onion rings for a friend at our table. We had the best onion rings ever, along with my favorite pork dish in a LONG time. Great night, don’t sleep on Gus’s.“
“Jonnie was our server and amazing! I got 2 tacos and an empanada. The flavors are all outstanding and the seafood is very fresh. They also have homemade salsas which are unique and pack a punch. Definitely a place to come to whether or not you’re “
“ngl good food and ambiance, but they charged an extra $10 to my card and never responded to my messages and email (they don’t have a phone number), so be careful and check your card statementsupdate: they got back to me after i wrote this review (1 star), so i’m bumping this back upupdate 2: i went back and wasn’t charged extra, the oysters are solid“
“While the restaurant has closed they are operating as a food truck. Please check their Instagram to see their daily location. Lately they have been in bed stuy. This review is for my visit over the summer. We went on a Sunday and received the following: seafood mac n cheese; hot honey oxtail sliders; blueberry cornbread and the Cater 2 U which has salmon, shrimp and crab cakes. No complaints on the food, the portion size or the customer service. Everyone is always nice. I've only met the male owner during my visits and he is the best! Sad to see the restaurant go but happy to see that they are still making food. Definitely check them out when you can.“
“This place is amazing!! Second time coming, and both times were incredible. Five stars across all aspects of dining. Service is top notch and attentive, which is sorely appreciated for an all you can eat hotpot since there are plates on plates of empty dishes. Servers are quick to grab empty plates so the table is always clean and comfortable. There is great variety of meat and seafood and appetizers so no two meals ever feel the same. There are a mix of fresh and frozen items - definitely choose the fresh ones as they are much tastier. Sashimi is a massive plus! Separate booths also make for an enjoyable, private dining experience. Highly recommend.“
“Love this place! The sushi is so fresh and tasty. And reasonably priced. Free green tea pudding with Yelp check in! The pudding is topped with a spoonful of sweetened red beans. A delicious dessert! My favorite is salmon and here, it's melt in your mouth fresh and yummy. My favorite dish here is the Salmon Lover. It's salmon four ways plus a side of kani salad with some roe on top. Thick generous portions of sashimi, also has sushi, salmon avocado roll, and a grilled salmon collar (when available, otherwise you get 2 pieces of salmon belly). This place is so good, in one week, I went 3 times and still not tired of it. Not crazy about the chicken kaarage. The pieces are too small so when fried, it becomes dry and loses its juicy tenderness. Tried some skewers. A tad on the dry side. I'd stick with the sushi. Though the skewers were very popular with the kids at the table. Service. Attentive. Tea constantly being refilled. Decor. It's a small place. Lots of wood decor. The space is narrow with seating to the left and right. In front, a few private mini booth rooms covered with a curtain, line the side of the restaurant. These can seat up to 4 people. There is also a small party room downstairs. In the back, you can sit in front of the sushi chefs if you like, at a high counter.“
“This dim sum restaurant is quite possibly the most traditional Cantonese dim sum spot in New York City. Located in Brooklyn Chinatown, where there is a sizable Cantonese immigrant population, this establishment has a long history and preserves the authentic flavors of dim sum. They serve food through pushcarts, offering a variety of dishes not found in many other places, and their prices are cheaper compared to dim sum in Manhattan and Flushing. Additionally, they have a menu where you can order dim sum or stir-fried dishes not available on the carts.Patrons range from elderly to young, leisurely sipping tea and enjoying dim sum, and sometimes during peak dining hours, sharing tables might be necessary, but this communal atmosphere adds to the charm of the experience.Highly recommended for those who appreciate traditional dim sum.“
“what a sweet little spot! the staff were welcoming and friendly and the restaurant is gorg inside. we came for brunch and had the çilbir to share between 2 people, which comes with several sides. the meal was refreshing, light, and so, so tasty.“
“This is true Japan. Real Japan. A modest restaurant of the highest quality. A small space on a side street. This is authentic Japan. There are two tables and a counter - 12 seats total. The chefs are right there. The server too, all are soft spoken and focused on their craft. The food is... The food is... The food is so good. So, so good. The sashimi melted, balanced with the spicy thing. The mazeman incredible, full of umami and flavor. The ramen healed my soul :)Do me a favor if you go... Eat, enjoy and leave. Be efficient... Be respectful. Be Japanese. It's a small space, they're too nice to move you along, but c'mon, allow them to serve more people and make more money“
“Everything here was delicious! We got here just in time for the oyster happy hour (5:30-6:30 pm) so the oysters were half off! We also got these croquette appetizers and they were on the smaller side but man were they delicious! My bf said he can down 10 of them if he had the option to. The oysters were fresh and smooth. We ordered the surf n turf po boy and a small order of creole gumbo. We also received a panna cotta dessert and it was so smooth and rich. Highly recommend this spot!“
“My favorite ramen joint in New York! Go here on a jazz night if you can, because the ambience with the artists is even more incredible. This is my 3rd time here, and while everything is great, I’d specifically recommend: spicy ramen, spicy tsukemen, oysters mp, and mango kakigori. Between the freshly made noodles and flavorful broths, all of the noodle dishes are the perfect cozy meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the oysters, which came with a yuzu mint vinaigrette that added a bright vibrancy to each oyster. Don’t shy away from getting dessert the end! The shaved ice is a great way to end on a refreshing note without feeling bogged down by sugar. Note that this place fills up quick, so reserve in advance or come early to beat the wait. Follow me on ig @chloenicholle for more nyc food reviews!“
“Ok ok so this places looks beautiful service is lack luster for sure you can wear what you want no dress code. Cocktails disgusting can’t lie but I only tried 2 of them the food was good I had short ribs with the collard green pesto it was sooooo good an rib was tender for 30$ it definitely should be atleast 2 ribs on the plate potatoes were good as well 10/10 also oxtail pasta I thought it was disgusting 6/10 the person eating it thought it was delicious so it’s tbd all in all I wouldn’t recommend eating here“
“This is a new level of service & food for 5th Ave. As soon as you walk in the smell is incredible, atmosphere is cozy, clean, classy. . The staff is wonderful, the drinks are delicious & made with love by Rafael. Food is 5 ⭐️. Oysters are fresh, crab cake perfectly paired w/ a light salad, Brussels amazing in a sweet and spicy sauce, high quality steak.“
“This is a magnificent new place by the ocean in Brighton! The kitchen exceeds all expectations! Burgers, solyanka and steaks were especially delicious! I recommend it to everyone. And by the way, they work until one o'clock in the morning!“
“Drove by this place several times. Got invited to celebrate friends birthday and I. Can say it was a good experience. Very quick and friendly service by the staff and the owner. I didnt order anything as my friend did all the guessing work away from me, which was good. The seafood was fresh, very tasty. Enjoyed the crab, shrimps, mussels. They also have a full bar which I couldn't resist. I didn't do mixed drinks but variety for tequila and vodka was outstanding for the place.“
“Good omakase place. Shari preparation is above average, good amount of rice, good temp, good tightness and vinegar combinations. Very few choices of hikarimono here, and Aji was just ok. Since I am a pure edomae enthusiast, an offering of Wagyu sushi (an extra price, of course i did not order bz it is not a pure edomae tradition) was disappointment to me since smoke smelling of wagyu beef spread all over the sushi bar. Services were excellent and a very nice, spacious atmosphere inside. I may try this place again for the second time. Overall reasonable to good omakase sushi.“
“awesome food in a stylish renovated building. love the old brick walls in combination with new materials. the food is perfect soulfood to start your day right. especially the whipped Mascarpone with focaccia is just delicious. also the short rib panini comes with an arugula salad with tumeric vinaigrette. gives just the exact kick with acidity and sweetness you need to get an extraordinary flavor. definitely we will come again“
“Yes, yes and more yes! We had a wonderful evening here. It hit all of the elements- ambiance, food and service- out of the park. They were so accommodating towards us. We enjoyed the mussels as a starter just to switch it up. It was a wonderful choice. Bread and sauce were delicious. We tried a number of their signature drinks including the pistachio which was unique and very good. The servers were helpful, personable, kind and of course my favorite- present without being overbearing. The short ribs were delectable with very tasty fries. The steak was perfectly cooked. I was afraid that I would still feel hungry since it was served with just a salad but the balance was perfect and I ended up feeling satisfied. We kept off the night with a sweet touch of soft served vanilla ice cream. A perfect way to end a lovely evening.“
“I rarely eat Chinese food at a restaurant it’s usually takeout. However, on Saturday after shopping and the heavy rain we decided to stop in bay ridge and we decided for a change instead of Italian and I’m glad we did because the food was delicious the manager and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating I will definitely be going back the atmosphere was friendly and very warm I really enjoyed the experienceKid-friendliness: I didn’t have children but there were many families with children fascinated with the large fish tank with big fish“
“Wow! Truly wow’d by this place. New chef Sunny is doing something really great here. The food program is wonderful, we had the Hwe, Spicy Tuna Hand Rolls, and Mochi Cake. The hand rolls are great, tuna delicious! $9 each, so not cheap but definitely a tasty bite. The Hwe was extremely delicious, think of it as Korean poke. The lemon gochujang was very nice, and not overpoweringly spicy. It had a really nice crunch factor as well, everything was definitely well thought out in the dish. We also got their dessert which was told to us by our server, who was great BTW. It was so good!Food fantastic, wine fantastic, service fantastic, music fantastic. I will be back here soon.“
“Came here recently for happy hour and they did not disappoint. Bar had great views of the water and drinks were reasonably priced and really good. Margs were consistent every time and decent selection of beers on tap. Will definitely make a point to visit in the summer “
“AMAZING SERVICE!!!! Food 10/10! Went here for breakfast and the food was super delicious!!! Had crab cakes as the appetizer, the Italian Omelette which comes with fries and a salad and a side of French toast. Marcus and Daisy were great servers!!!!! Made the service that much better!“
“Right off the bat, the customer service is friendly and upbeat. Which is not the norm at Jamaican restaurants. Everyone knows that lol. So that stands out.The jerk chicken rice and peas oxtail gravy is my go to. Atleast 3 times this week . The portion is plentiful for the price hence why I keep going back . Taste is on point .I also tried there wings . Very flavourful . They have a few selection of flavors , I tasted the honey garlic ??. I plan on trying the rest .“
“Great HH option in BK! $1 oysters, small but tasty. Drinks also strong and affordable option to get a nice snack and drink in. The atmosphere/vibe is great too.. there is a back patio and even seating out front. Came in as a walk-in right around 645pm to squeeze in HH and got seating right at the bar.“
“It’s all about the prawns. Giant, jumbo sized almost as big as a lobster. Buttery, rich, huge grilled prawns.I’ve also had and can recommend:- larb with fried duck skin- rib eye- soft shell crab curryBut again it’s the giant prawn that steals the show. They even have a giant blue prawn in the back of the restaurant hanging from the ceiling. It’s a sign. Get the prawns.“
“We were in town for a day en-route to the Caribbean on the QM2 and discovered this place, and are so pleased we did.Fantastic, friendly and welcoming staff - great atmosphere and quirky. Was a highlight of our holiday to stop by, but most importantly the food. The burgers were to die for, honestly the best I’ve ever tasted! We will definitely make another visit when next in NY, even if we’re not on a cruise. Fantastic choice of beers too.Big well done to all team from some very happy customers from the UK.“
“Excellent tacos. ? This is a usual spot for us and it never disappoints here. The large tacos have guacamole in it and it also comes with an entire grilled green onion. Now, I hate onions. But I have no clue why I’m able to eat it here with the tacos… it’s that good. Opt for the large tacos. The regular size is fine but for just a dollar more you get more bang for the buck, literally. Very low key establishment. It isn’t festive. I don’t believe they serve alcohol either. But the tacos are amazing. And amazingly affordable! As always, better to eat fresh and dine in. Order the Tacos… when the restaurant’s name begins with Tacos, you better order the Tacos ?!!! ????“
“OMG, Fire Kabob restaurant is legit amazing! The flavors in their food are off the charts, like mind-blowing spices that make your taste buds dance. And the best part? It's super affordable, so you can feast without breaking the bank. The owner is so cool and helpful, always making sure you're having a great time. Oh, and did I mention that their food is halal? It's a win-win for everyone! I recently catered from them for a party, and let me tell you, it was a total hit. People couldn't stop raving about the deliciousness. Fire Kabob is definitely my top recommendation for any occasion or just a tasty meal that will leave you wanting more!“
“The food was so delicious. We really enjoyed it. The service was great. Price is average but we had little problem went there with my kids as fam. A group were having bday dinner and they were very loud couldn’t even hear ourselves during the dinner because everyone was laughing talking so loud. I don’t know how they could handle this kind of problem but still worth to taste delicious foods.Kid-friendliness: Got highchairs“
“Flavors that can only be melded together by a professionally trained chef, plating that is exquisite an amazing epicurean journey! The staff is knowledgeable, personable and professional. This is definitely a unique experience and a unicorn in the kosher culinary world.“
“My experience was the best. I always order online but i came in store tonight and I must say I’m very happy I did. Amarie is the best! Keep her ! Her customer service is A1. Also Shevaun was very helpful in helping us choose our food. You have a great team. Thank you and keep up the good work. Can’t wait to come back.“
“Crab House Brooklyn delivers an amazing dining experience with its delectable seafood offerings. I was particularly impressed by their spicy shrimp, iron skirt steak, and salt and pepper shrimp; each dish bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. What's more, their lightning-fast service and exceptional customer care truly elevate the dining experience. However, it's worth noting that this excellence comes at a premium, with prices averaging around $80 per person. While the quality justifies the cost, it may not be the most budget-friendly option. Overall, Crab House Brooklyn offers a fantastic culinary journey for seafood enthusiasts, albeit at a higher price point.“
“I went to this restaurant for lunch and the food was A-MAZINGGGG!!! I would definitely recommend, I ordered the chicken francese, chicken was so flavorful and tender, pasta was Al dentè. I took my order to go, because I was pressed for time. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice next time I visit I will definitely dine in. The host was very nice service was exceptional. Food came quick and delicious“
“One of my favourite South-Asian restaurants in NYC. I’ve been coming here for years. The goat curry is always excellent, as are the momos, chicken thali and dal, and it’s so reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in this area. The staff were also very attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this place.“
“The dining environment is clean and tidy, and all service staff are very friendly. I ordered boiled beef and dry-pot cauliflower. The food was served quickly by the kitchen. The price was not expensive judging from the amount of food, and the taste was very good!“
“Came on a Friday for dinner and loved it. The tuna smash burger was delicious, and the oyster and wine happy hour deal are totally worth it before 6pm.Big fan of this spot and will certainly be back! Not many tables though so reservations definitely needed“
“Amazing! They were out of the jerk chicken empanadas when I ordered online late in the day, so the super nice owner gave me two salmon ones after calling to inform me and asking about substitutes. I got the sweet chili hot wings and they were so good! Made to order and super fresh and flavorful. The mac and cheese was also great.“
“At the BK Seafood Market, I had the most incredible dining experience. Their seafood was unbelievably fresh, and the highlight of the meal was definitely the Toronto Tower with the fried king crab. Each bite was bursting with flavor, making it a truly unforgettable dish. What's more, the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. While the prices may be on the higher side, the quality of the food and the overall experience made it worth every penny. If you're looking for a seafood experience like no other, I highly recommend splurging on a meal at BK Seafood Market.“
“I’m only reviewing it as a takeout/delivery restaurant, but this is some of if not the best Indian delivery I’ve ever had. The curries are rich and flavorful and the chicken is cut in large generous portions. The naan is always fresh hot and fluffy, the vegetable biryani is packed with gorgeous flavor, and the vegetable samosas are large and perfectly crispy. Now, I’m not expert on Indian food, but I’ve eaten a lot of Indian delivery around the USA and I’m having a hard time thinking of a more consistently great Indian restaurant for delivery.“
“I’ve been wanting to visit for months and I’m so glad I finally did!! My friends and I had a blast and were blown away by the food! I mean every single thing we ordered was incredible. I literally made another reservation for the weekend while I was still finishing my dinner! ? Go get your your life and support an amazing local black-owned business ??“
“What an amazing dinner we were participating in. It started with a flower that exploded our taste buds through all the variety of sea creatures and sea plants prepared various ways to a light but scrumptious bread pudding and ice cream made with 3 waters. All the dishes were presented like works of art accompanied in artistic dishes. It was most definitely a wild to table experience. Highly recommend. (only allowed 10 photos. There was a total 13 servings of food and 2 drinks)“
“when i came here gustavo was very nice, very accommodating & made my dine in a wonderful time. when you come here make sure hes there! ill definitely be coming back again & again & again! food was seasoned perfectly, the all you can eat was AMAZING. strawberry margarita was top notch! id highly recommend!!!!!“
“Reliably great New England style seafood. Nice space indoors, good setup outdoors.Kid-friendliness: Been bringing our kids here since they were small. They have high chairs, kid cups & crayons & menus to draw on. Kids menu is inexpensive stuff like Mac & cheese and hot dogs. The place is lively so your kids are never unwelcome.“
“I ordered delivery for lunch and the Combo Platter included fried Cod (2), Whiting (2) Fish and 6 Shrimps was an unexpected surprise for $21.00. Lunch arrived in extremely well wrapped sustainable card board boxes and it was hot when I took the container out the bag. The Cod fish and Whiting fish were crispy, that's important to me. I like fried fish however I do not like it "hard" fried which means to me it can arrive hard or even burned. I've had that experience in the past but not at that restaurant, this fish was crispy and light. The shrimps were also crispy, large, and seasoned well. The Olde Bay French Fries were just as tangy as it sounds. Great condiments at your request. No pics because I was at work trying to make all this flow within 45-30 minutes, definitely worth it. I found a small neighborhood business, extremely convenient, and delivers a great lunch via the Yelp app on those days when you can't get out of the office. I heard they not only cook fresh fish, but they also sell fresh fish. I'm looking forward to visiting soon.“
“Come for the spritz, stay for the great wine selection and food. Pips is a gem that feels like a local yet cool hang out with the bonus of delicious food. Highly recommend. It's from the same team as Colonie so you can trust the whole experience- food and service.“
“Great Culinary experience my friends and I stopped by randomly because we were in the area. To be honest we were pleasantly surprised the drinks were tasty and sturdy shoutout to Owen the bartender. The food came out in great time and was tasty. I would recommend the honey garlic wings, Doubles and curry snapper. But what made our visit Great was that the Chef / owner Calvin came out and had a conversation with us and made us feel at home.10 out of 10“
“Really tasty just overpriced. Literally a side piece of French toast sliced diagonal was $7.50. That could've got me 2 whole loafs of bread. I ordered the salmon croquettes which came with two on a bed of arugula, corn and beans and didn't fill me up and was $19. We had to order French fries which were hot and fresh and crispy but again overpriced. Anyways.it was all good and tasty but definitely a one time visit for me. Wayy too overpriced. And the service was so busy and mid.“
“I’ve never done a review before, but me and my partner had an amazing time here tonight. Just stopped by to have a couple drinks and a snack before heading home. The server, I’m not sure of his name but he was a server in the front section by the bar Wednesday around 8pm. He was incredibly knowledgeable of the wine list and knew all the details about the food we were served. The food runner ran thru each item on the food. Just incredible service. The server picked a fantastic wine I wouldn’t usually go for. The atmosphere was fire. Food 10/10. Recently moved to the area and we’ll be regulars now. Couldn’t rate this place higher. Oh and I also want to mention my partner called ahead and didn’t catch the host, but they called her back in like 1 minute and managed to squeeze us in. You’re running a tight ship!“
