“Williamsburg was largely unimpressive until I tried this place. I was there for breakfast and their French toast is the best I've ever had so far. Not your typical toast where you pour syrup on top. This bread is perfectly moist and sweet and does not require syrup. There is a creme topping you can pour over that made for the perfect combo. There are so many places that claim best pancakes, best French toast, etc. French toast, here, is a must. Now I want to come back and see about the pancakes. For savory, we got the merguez omlette. I am not a huge sausage (the sausage not pork, might have been beef) fan, but this was really flavorful and I would absolutely order again. I am usually not excited about brunch, but this place does it for me. And, the ambiance is excellent. I love the exposed brick and overall decor. I could not stop commenting on how positive the experience was and how much I want to return. And, I am one of those people where virtually every place is forgettable except the ones that are not. This is my current #1 for breakfast/brunch until further notice. Highly recommend for all occasions (and that you make reservations in advance). Definitely going back soon!“

“Exceptional eatery! Diner style all the way. Had eggs and corned beef hash with potatoes. Grapefruit juice (tropicana) and took a cinnamon roll with me (the best). Hash was not crispy but LOVELY that way, eggs were done just right, over medium, the heavily buttered rye toast dipped provided excellent yolk dips. Potatoes were abundant, and had morsels of pepper and onion. Ketchup exploded on me a lil..(can't put the bottles in the fridge). However they were attentive and apologetic following the incident.
I made my return for a waffle, the way it had tantalized my nostrils on the previous visit was inspiring of such. Waffle with banana was perfect. Filling, fluffy, crispy, sweet and savory.
p.s. ask for the salsa verde :)

“This is definitely one of the best places to eat in Brooklyn if you're looking for variety. Located in Downtown Brooklyn, DeKalb Market Hall is a hidden gem. The food hall is humongous and the food is very yummy. It has tons of food stalls and good restaurants. You can enjoy on your own of with family. Most of the restaurants I've tried are outstanding with the exception of the Han dynasty. Showroom bakehouse is excellent. The sushi place was good and reasonably priced. Soft swerve ice cream fantastic. Centrally located. Write down stairs from the trader Joe's. Plenty of seating. I'm hyped to recommend it!“

Ordering is simple; just use the tablet on the wall. I can’t wait to try new things when I’m in town again! 🍔❤ It was a nice difference compared to what I usually find in Phoenix, AZ. The attendant was very polite and patient with me. I was extremely jet-lagged.“

“Grabbed takeout from Lucky Rabbit Noodles in Dumbo today for me and my best friend and I'm still thinking about it. Dean at the front absolutely made the experience. His energy is so warm and welcoming, and when I asked what to order he didn't miss. Every single recommendation was a 10/10.

We got the noodles, the house dumplings, and the lychee lemonade. All of it is incredible. The noodles have that perfect chew, the dumplings might be the best I've had in Brooklyn, and the lychee lemonade is so good I'm genuinely mad at myself for not ordering a second round.

We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up.
