The wait was not long to get a table and the service was prompt, professional, courteous, and didn’t leave us in want of anything. All of our needs were met. “This is definitely one of the best places to eat in Brooklyn if you're looking for variety. Located in Downtown Brooklyn, DeKalb Market Hall is a hidden gem. The food hall is humongous and the food is very yummy. It has tons of food stalls and good restaurants. You can enjoy on your own of with family. Most of the restaurants I've tried are outstanding with the exception of the Han dynasty. Showroom bakehouse is excellent. The sushi place was good and reasonably priced. Soft swerve ice cream fantastic. Centrally located. Write down stairs from the trader Joe's. Plenty of seating. I'm hyped to recommend it!“

My only complaint would be how noisy the dining areas are- it's a popular place so it's always packed, and the subway tile on the walls bounces the voices and noise. It's also hard to get a table, and reservations are competitive, but it is worth it!“

We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. My only regret of the night was not having enough stomachs to enjoy more of what Madre could serve up. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Madre!“

“We walked in late on Friday and had a fantastic dinner. Three of us all came away with the same perspective that Traif was amazing. Service was unbelievably attentive, the dishes we had were delicious and the back patio was a calming retreat after a busy day. Every dish was a flavor burst. I highly recommend Traif and will go back.“

“My 2 friends and i came on a Friday night at 915pm and were able to get an outdoor table fairly quickly. They sat my friend who was there by herself before we got there which was nice. We ordered the labne, sweet potato, hummus, short rib with hummus and the half chicken. And that was enough to split between the three of us. We got a second order of pita. And we each got a drink. The total came out to about 50 bucks per person. Definitely a little expensive but very delicious. Our server was amazing.“

“Uzuki never disappoints. As two people with gluten and wheat allergies, it’s such a treat to find truly exceptional gluten-free soba and udon.

The Duck Shio Soba is always a favorite. Comforting, flavorful, and good for the soul. The Black Truffle Curry Udon was rich and delicious, but the surprise star of the night was the Tempura Mochi Vegetable Udon. It was our first time trying it, and we’ll absolutely be ordering it again.

The Farmer’s Root Vegetables were also great. We wanted to put that sauce on everything!

We can't praise the event team, kitchen, and bar staff enough! The food was exceptional as always, and the service was wonderfully attentive and gracious. Plenty of options for vegetarian friends as well. Will continue to come back to Birds any time we want a perfect meal.“
