“Loved this place! I went with my friend for brunch, and it was a blast! The drinks were perfect, and the food was even better. I had the Eggs Norwegian, and it was amazing. The greens that came with this dish were not generic mesclun mix greens, which I appreciated. They perfectly complemented the dish, this is little but I appreciate the details. Our server was very kind, just enough bubbly and accommodating.“

The food was beyond delectable—every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. And honestly, the food deserves to be mentioned twice because it was just that good.

The service struck the perfect balance between warm, welcoming hospitality and true professionalism. The atmosphere is the ideal blend of chic and rustic, creating a cozy yet elevated dining experience.

We had a small mix-up with our reservation, but the manager handled it graciously and quickly got everything sorted out, which made an already great experience even better.

Part of me wants to keep this gem a secret, but it’s too good not to share. Then again, I don’t think they’re hurting for customers—they were completely packed on a Monday evening, and after dining here, I can see exactly why.“

“I’d like to start off this review by saying that I am a Latina woman, who has been to Pokito many times and been treated with nothing but kindness and respect - as such, I felt the responsibility to share my personal experience here having read another review below.

This past Friday evening, my sister and I stopped by Pokito for a drink after a concert. We sat up at the bar, and they were quite crowded but to be expected for a Friday night. Unfortunately, there was a super loud group sat at a table behind us that was making it difficult for my sister and I to hear the bartender, or eachother. Having lived in NYC for five plus years now, I’m no stranger to a loud bar - but this was over the top.

At one point, someone screamed so loud that it startled my sister and I, and we turned to look over our shoulders to see what was going on - It had escalated to the point that my sister and I couldn’t have a conversation a few inches from each other because this group was yelling so loudly. At one point we made eye contact with the loudest person at the table - their review says they apologized to other bar patrons for their noisiness, but they certainly didn’t apologize or acknowledge their behavior to us.

So we felt relief when management asked the group to quiet down. We thanked the bartender for helping make the environment more comfortable so we could carry on our conversations together. Turns out, the bartender was Latino (like my sister and I), so we chatted for a bit. The manager was also behind the bar, who also identifies as a person of color, and was nothing but kind and lovely.

At one point, as the noisy group were leaving, one of them came up to the bartender and had what looked to be a defensive conversation. My sister and I didn’t engage, but I did check reviews because it seemed like they were heated - so when I found their review below claiming that their treatment felt discriminatory, I felt compelled to share my experience as well.

As a Latina woman, I’m all too aware that we live in a world where discrimination runs rampant, and I will be the first to come to someone’s defense. That said, I can wholeheartedly say that this was NOT the case at Pokito when the loud group was kindly asked to leave. It’s a very dangerous and loaded accusation to suggest that a business owner - let alone another bipoc person - is somehow prejudiced towards their customers. After my discussion with the bartender and management, I see them as very fair and warm people, who seek to create a comfortable and welcoming experience for all of their guests.

So long story short - if you are a person of color considering going to Pokito, I would like to reassure you that you will be treated with nothing but kindness and respect by staff (of whom many are also people of color!). That said, if you are loud / inconsiderate/ drunk / obnoxious and infringe on others’ experiences at Pokito, then management may exercise their right to ask you to be respectful for the sake of other guests :)“

“Great food, drinks and ambiance though music was pretty loud. Went for dinner and DJ was spinning good r&b and old school hip hop. Every dish we got was amazing. Muhammara was nutty and sweet, with a lot of depth. Labneh was simple and fresh. The focaccia for the dips came out cold and was doused in oil- so that could have been much better. The grilled chicken skewers were amazing, perfectly tender. And the lamb dish was very flavorful. Overall, had a lovely experience and would come again.“

“We recently hosted a bridal shower at 390 Social, and everything was absolute perfection! Dana was incredible throughout the planning process—so friendly, responsive, and helpful. On the day of the event, both Dana and Madeline were on hand to make sure every detail ran seamlessly. We rented out the main floor for about 35 guests, and the space accommodated everyone comfortably while fitting our Beauty & The Beast theme beautifully. I couldn't have asked for a better venue or team to work with!“

The space is super cute and we were able to book out the Mezzanine area as well as order drinks and hang around the bar. Our guests (we had around 35-40 people) were raving about the food and drinks. Brenton and Jordan were super accommodating and flexible in helping us plan the event and the entire team was very welcoming on the day of. The entire process was super smooth and we are so grateful for their help in making our celebration a success. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to visit again!“

My only complaint would be how noisy the dining areas are- it's a popular place so it's always packed, and the subway tile on the walls bounces the voices and noise. All the Bartenders are no-nonsense, so it does feel pretty strict, but I'd rather that bartenders who chat too much with their friends and always take smoke breaks...

“Cobble Hill is famous for its diverse and interesting restaurant scenes. So this is exactly the place that is devoted to this reputation. The place is the corner shop that is cute and cozy inside, but during warm season, it offers quite a spacious outside seating area. As for the food, despite my general dislike of omelets, I fell in love with their crayfish omelet, this is a definite a must-have item. Also, I really enjoyed their chicken liver pate, frog legs, and swordfish. Although duck fat potatoes were not bad, you can easily skip it.
So this is definitely a place where I want to come back and try more of their dishes.“

“I stopped by Blinky’s last October OB a long walk I took from Manhattan to Bedford-Stuyvesant. Place looked cool from the outside I decided to give it a shot. It was a bit elevated compared to your typical NYC dive bar, with some cool lighting, a really clean interior, a nice tap list, and friendly staff.

I had two pints of beer over the course of about 45 minutes of hanging out—one IPA and one Pilsner, though for the life of me I can’t recall the brewery names that went with each. The beer was crisp and cool, served in clean glasses. Vibes were on point, beer wasn’t priced in the stratosphere, and overall it was a chill pit stop. I’d recommend checking it out!“

Old school, traditional recipes with a twist of new flare. Mikey is a wizard for creating his cocktails. I had the pleasure of trying two of them that he created after thinking about them for 12 years and I highly recommend them the Garlic Gibson and the Bitter tree, both are amazing. Allen, who is the chef and owner and named this quaint little place after his dad will delight you with his specialties my Sister and I had the mushroom hummus. The Jars: containers of dips that come with sourdough bread. You should get some of these. Available evening or daytime.
Brunch Sandwiches: the bread these sandwiches come on is phenomenal! It's like a thick, bready scallion pancake-wrap. It's unique & great.
We had the Ham & Egg sandwich, and the Pork Belly: the Pork was the flavor winner, with the spicy mayo & pickles.
