“LORE in Brooklyn is an absolute gem that deserves all the praise it gets—and then some! Every visit feels like a masterclass in hospitality, thanks to Jay, whose impeccable attention to detail and warm, welcoming nature make you feel like a cherished guest every time. The team's thoughtful touches extend beyond the food, creating a welcoming space for everyone, including four-legged friends in the outdoor seating area.
We've been fortunate enough to dine here on several occasions, and LORE never ceases to amaze. Every dish showcases an inspired balance of flavors and textures. The Kimchi Uttapam is a standout, blending vibrant spices and tangy, fermented flavors into a dish that’s as comforting as it is innovative. The Biscuits & Gravy with mushroom coconut ragout, chili crisp, and a perfectly fried egg is divine—comfort food elevated.
The atmosphere is cozy yet refined, making it the perfect spot for a special afternoon out or a casual gathering with friends. The team’s passion for what they do shines through in every aspect, from the creative menu to the exceptional service.
LORE is easily one of our favorite spots in Brooklyn, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, do yourself a favor and make a reservation—you’ll be blown away!“

“I came here to celebrate my one year with my girlfriend and we was not disappointed ! Everything was just on point and the service was amazing, for what I paid for in the end it was worth it, shout outs to the chefs working hard in the bad and all of the staff in the store for making my time amazing. Thank you for giving us a cake because the halibut took abit to come out but we understood and took our time with eating the foods that were prepared for us by the amazing team of bar Bête ❤️
I’ll definetly be back again and again.“

“We decided to check out this bar while staying in the area over the weekend and didn’t know what to expect but were blown away!
Amazing decor, great ambiance, it was packed and lively on a Saturday night around 10pm in contrast to the quiet streets of downtown brooklyn. We absolutely loved the Raspberry Shrub drink - the white vinegar added a little bit of a sour kick and made the cocktail one of the most memorable we’ve had. Super unique menu and fun food items. Great service and vibes. We’ll be back!“

“Ever wanted to drink in an old pirate ship but can’t make it out to Anaheim, Phoenix or San Fran? Sunken Harbor is for you. Seriously though, we finally made the pilgrimage to SH in Brooklyn, last week, and couldn’t have been happier.
We arrived just as the place was opening and realized that we might be in for a wait as there was already a line waiting to get into the hidden bar. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and they took our number and told us to expect an hour wait. Nobody batted an eye when we took up refuge in the corner (it was cold outside), and we were greeted with a text telling us our table was ready about 40 minutes after check in.
The bar is located above another fancy restaurant and holds maybe 35-40 people max. The whole place is designed like an old ship, with tons of amazing woodwork and nautical stylings.
Even though the place eschews the term tiki, you know you are in the right place when you see the Tiki Ti and Frankies Tiki Room stickers behind the bar. Speaking, of the bar, drinks were flawless. I had a traditional mai tai and it was a perfect melding of rum and sweetness, without the oppressive taste of cheap liquor. I didn’t have the food, as we were not able to stay too long, but they had an impressive menu of apps.
Sadly, there were no mugs available for sale, but they did offer some fancy zombie and Mai tai glasses, as well as pins.
I know Brooklyn is a haul, but we were able to find free street parking on a Saturday night,
Highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a perfectly made cocktail in NYC.“

“The food was satisfactory, and the atmosphere was excellent. Enjoying the outdoor seating during pleasant weather is highly suggested. However, with only one server attending to more than eight tables outside, some items were overlooked, and the service lacked attentiveness overall.“

“Super unique and delicious maple praline brown butter pancakes! More cake than pancake. The wait was not long to get a table and the service was prompt, professional, courteous, and didn’t leave us in want of anything. All of our needs were met. Food was prepared much quicker than expected and was all very good! I would definitely recommend this!“

“Good and interesting food. Crowded and noisy. Good and very efficient service. Cocktail selection good but mine was ok. Daily special of fava bean hummus was delicious Chicken liver with hummus reminded me of my grandmother. Half brick chicken was very dry and not crisped enough with a soury harissa sauce. (Was it 1/2 brick or 1/2 chicken?). Limited dessert menu“

“We got married in the outdoor section of Radio Star through the Glasserie Events team and had an incredible experience. We chose the venue because having good food was a priority for us and they did not disappoint. Many of our guests told us that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. We also appreciated that the space was beautiful and romantic without many of our own decorations. The team was amazing and brought such a fun energy to our wedding. The event planner, Emily, was a joy to work with through the entire process and we loved that she was so organized and communicative. We would highly recommend getting married here!“

“A cocktail-forward spot, but the food keeps pace. Caught in that limbo between lunch and dinner I stopped in for a quick bite and drink. Positive vibes all around and a sense that everyone was exactly where they wanted to be.
They have an extensive drink menu with both alcoholic and nonalcoholic options. The mezcal gimlet was smoky yet slightly sweet with cucumber adding a fresh lift. The jasmine and cucumber fizz was light and floral. For food, I kept things on the lighter side with the hamachi crudo and caesar salad. The crudo impressed—it was surprisingly delicate and finished with a touch of smoked salt. The caesar was classic crisp romaine, just enough dressing to coat without drowning, with crunch scattered on top.
The place itself is versatile—date night, post-work drinks, catching up with an old friend, it fits the mood. Next time, I’ll arrive hungry with no dinner plans in sight.“

“Absolutely our favorite dining experience during our trip to Brooklyn & Manhattan!! My wife has some unique allergens, and the team was incredibly sincere, humble, genuine, creative….and HONEST! We started with concern and quickly jumped to total enjoyment of the food, service and atmosphere. We are grateful to the chef for customizing the trout — creating a phenomenal dish. Bryony (sp?) was kind and attentive. An all-around memorable night from our trip!“

“Ok, I never write reviews, but I've had two phenomenal experiences at The Fly and needed to share!! Not only is the atmosphere perfect (lighting, candles, sexy, ENERGY, music!!) and food perfectly executed (cesar with the crispiest romaine! The green beans! The green sauce! The potatoes! The chicken!!!) but what stands out to me most is the hospitality. It's exceptional. Warm, inviting, attentive, playful. You feel taken cared of, special, safe, and like you belong – I truly cannot say that about many places in NYC where folks are jaded and, in my opinion, have lost the art of true hospitality.
This is a neighborhood spot I will return to again and again and again. HUGE shoutout to Hector and Peter for giving us two amazing experiences both times. We had a blast and that's really what it's all about. We love you guys!! Thank you for all that you do – it's really important work. xx“

“Excellent food. I usually don’t trust fusion food but they do it right. Authenticity in Korean flavors with western interpretations.
Can’t speak so much for drinks since I don’t drink, but vibes are great, food is amazing - also love how there is a specific sequence to the food. It’s very carefully curated.“

“We scored a table late on a Thursday night. The bar is swanky and cute, with great interior design and personal touches like the illustrations on their dishes. We arrived to low-lit restaurant/bar with vibey music and a fresh new menu.
The cocktails were great. The Apollonian was citrusy Smokey punch and the Limoncello Milk Punch felt so special.
The Stracciatella was a delightful surprise, while the Calabrese was a spicy hot wing that made me wanting more. For mains I had the Smashed Meatball Parm which DID NOT disappoint. The fries had great texture and the sandwich was so flavorful it left me wanting more. We topped it off with the delightful Cannolis that was crunched and sweet.“

“This is my third visit to Endswell with the same friend. It’s our go to spot when we’re looking for a good meal, good drinks , and great service. Menu doesn’t change often but what’s on there, chef’s kiss! Usually have the Coq Au Vin, Streak Frites, or Smash Burger. Also the octopus skewers…too yummy! The cocktailsbe cocktailing and solid wine options.“

“Sama Street made me and my tummy happy from start to end. I'm not sure how it's such a hidden gem given the quality and creativity of the food and drinks and all around great vibe.
I showed up shortly after open to a completely empty restaurant, so the bartender, Jamie, suggested some delicious drinks (not that you can go wrong with any of them). Of the few drinks I had, my least favorite (but still solid) was the Jacket Required, which is really just a slightly modified old fashioned. Everything else was incredible - some ingredients seem out there and might might throw you off, but every drink I had was really more than just the sum of its parts.
Food was also great, especially if you're into family style meals. Skewers were cooked to perfection, bok choy wasn't just tossed in some soy sauce, flat noodles were great. The sundae dessert included some of the tastiest and unique ice cream flavors I'd ever had, made in house.
Overall will definitely be back.“

“Came here for Restaurant Week - what a perfectly balanced and rich menu (pre-fix menu also includes a glass of wine and a cocktail). We had XO Sauce Oyster Mushroom and Fresh Squid w/Garlic and Chili Oil for appetizer (very flavorful); perfectly tender and juicy Pork Soup Dumplings (black truffle and pork roe); Lychee Kung Pao Crispy Pork and Braised Beef w/Abalone in Tomato Sauce for entrée (hearty portions and great taste); Sweet & Sour Cabbage and Snow Pea Shoots w/Garlic for vegetable (the best part of the meal! fresh, yummy and such a symphony of tastes!) and Yuzu Coconut Cotta and Osmanthus Ice Jelly for dessert (just the right amount of sweetness and fun texture!) - everything was up to par!
Service was very delicate and attentive, and the whole atmosphere quite nice. I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more of Szechuan cuisine.“

“Grateful for a decent Chinese restaurant that is clean and elegantly decorated. Tofu and chicken dish were very good. The beef stew was more of a beef soup and on the oilier side so wasn’t our favourite. Dumplings were pretty good. Would definitely return and recommend.“

“Jaffa is a hidden gem almost speakeasy style up a set of stairs behind K'far and under Laser Wolf. The staff was super nice and the bartender was helpful and made recommendations and also delicious drinks to order. Definitely want to come back during the summer months for the outdoor space but a great option for pre dinner drinks or an after dinner cocktail. Great cocktails, delicious bites, and a very fun chill vibe even on a cold rainy Brooklyn night.

“Stumbled upon Oldies while hanging out in industry city with my husband and couldn’t be more pleased! I never tried sake before, but the bartender Ashley suggested we try a flight. She walked us through each drink and was very knowledgeable regarding flavors and pairings. We weren’t planning on eating there, but after learning I was a vegetarian Ashley showed me a menu to look at for a future visit. My husband and I decided to get a few small dishes and were not disappointed! The food was amazing! The best part of our visit though? Ashley! It was a pleasure talking with her and we will definitely be back to eat and drink at Oldies!!!“
