“Iconic. Feels like the movie The Menu but excluding all the bad parts. Staff noticed my partner was obsessed with their bread and surprised us afterwards with bread to take home! I softly mentioned I was interested in the sorbet and our waiter walked by confirming that I wanted the sorbet. How he heard that I have no idea, but this was some of the most attentive service I have ever received! Also their salad-esk appetizers are phenomenal. Treat yourself to this culinary delight.“

“The Japanese and Italian flavors mixed well and are to come back for. I stayed in the hotel where the restraunt was attached. In the area, with a focus of cocktails and table service for an upscale environment, it was delightful.
I love cocktails, and the servers were personable. Nothing pretentious. They focus on service and taste! Our food was excellent and the drinks were even better. It's a pleasant experience.“

“We went for a Friday dinner, and although it was just the two of us, we managed to try three dishes — and they were all fantastic!
* Soy Scallop with Gim Rice: The scallops were fresh and tender, with a delightful jelly-like texture, and the rice was perfectly soft and flavorful.
* Rose Tteokbokki: As a big fan of rice cakes, I loved this dish! The sauce was rich and complemented the rice cakes beautifully.
* Seoul Salon Fried Chicken: An absolute must-try! The chicken was juicy, with a crispy, thin coating that was just perfect.
We can’t wait for our next visit!“

“One of my favorite places in NYC. It’s rare for people to rave about British food, but they know what they are doing. Don’t skip on their salad, it’s the type of thing you don’t want to order because the Scottish egg, the rarebit, the quail, the burger are all competing, but just add it. Great somm too. Cool vibe and decor. I can’t wait to go back.“

“Go to appreciate a wonderful neighborhood meal, and you will get the best Noortwyck has to offer. Classy, tasty, friendly, and elegant. The Noortwyck delivers all of the delight without the stuffiness. Perfect for a date or a small group of friends.
Enjoyed the tuna, duck, kale, and LOVED the clam linguine. Drank cocktails and wine and love it all.
Service was excellent.
Can’t recommend any more!!!“

“I wouldn’t call Katana a dive bar, but on a Tuesday night it felt like a great neighborhood bar. Relaxed atmosphere. Was surprised at how small it was but that added to the chill vibe. I bet on a Thirsty Thursday and the weekend that all changes, but the bartenders and the craft cocktails will be just as great.“

“A wonderful place with a creative menu. Very unique flavors. Try as many items as you can as each one is special. We went in a group and we were able to share and taste a variety of items. A very casual chic place, you don’t have dress up 😊. They had some original cocktails, adding a twist to the traditional ones. Definitely must visit. Be aware, you will need to make a reservation well in advance. They are popular and hard to get in.“

“As mentioned in my previous reviews, I've been following the so-called revival effort of Rockefeller Center with some interest. And by follow, I mean eat.
Some places have been great. Others have been eh. NGL, I was genuinely expecting Le Rock to be eh, despite the recent hype. French fare is always so...extra. It's either obnoxiously rich or ridiculously overpriced, and more often than not, it's both.
Well, Le Rock is date night pricey, but not Michelin-starred pricey, and the food is only rich in the sense of bursting with flavor. We. Loved. It.
For classic pate and carbs, you are well-served with the Cervelle de Canut and Chicken Liver Mousse to start your meal.
I don't think I've ever seen Barbajuans on a French menu outside of France, so major props to Team Le Rock for serving this overlooked appetizer. They were fried to perfection. The Beignets Brandade de Morue were equally perfect, so savory I think I cried a little when the plate was empty.
The squeamish will avoid the Tablier de Sapeur because it says "tripe" on the menu, but they're fools who don't deserve good French food because this is a rare gem in the world of American French dining--a Lyonnaise specialty presented in perfect crispness with perfectly creamy sauce. Similarly, the squeamish (and jaded) will avoid the Escargots Bourguignons, but these were some of the best snails I've had, topped with a wonderful almond flour disc.
The Rigatoni Duck Bolognaise was rich fowl umami--so good, it should be upgraded to entree size, and so good, it puts most pasta restaurants to shame. The Steak Haché was filling without being overdone. I think the one dud of our meal was the very photogenic Leeks Vinaigrette--by all means, 'gram this dish in all its unwrappable glory, but the end result is kind of anticlimactic and too tart. And I love leeks.
Fortunately, dessert made up for that. The much-touted Baba aux Muses Verte is as moist and pillowy as you'd expect, but I'd skip the alcohol drizzle unless you have a problem. However, the Baba was easily surpassed by the fantastic Rhubarb Nougat Glacé aux Pistaches, which was perfectly semi-frozen and bursting with herbal, nutty flavor.“

“Stay Away!!! Just kidding, this spot is popular and rightfully so for all the right reasons. The atmosphere is bot chill and warm for lounge lizards wanting a great watering hole. The drinks are fantastic, The Monk Fashioned being my favorite, reminds me of a magical Sazerac. The food here is delicious too, been a couple times and look forward to returning again soon. Love the Sweet And Salty Grilly with Gruyère, Prosciutto, Fig Spread, Arugula on Sour Dough. The Fonduey Mac & Cheese is also a cooze fest of cheesy goodness, also the Whipped Feta with the Everything Bagel Pretzel. Always love to get the Crab Cakes. Though I’m eyeing the Skewered Thighs for next time they look like a divine dine. Fortunately we’ve gotten in without a reservation, though I’m sure it’s good to have one.“

“The food and service is amazing. We did the a la carte menu and had the wagyu pancit and the lechon. The noodle were delicious, we could have done a second order, but we had to leave room for the pork belly with crispy skin. Drinks were amazing too. We will definitely be back.“

“I made a reservation for a group of eight at 4:30 pm, and luckily, the only available seating for larger parties was the bench near the big window—precisely where I hoped to sit. The rest of the restaurant features intimate tables for two. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with just the right amount of elegance.
We loved their cocktails, and every dish we sampled was outstanding. The service stood out as exceptional; our server was both attentive and charming. They were also very accommodating to one of my vegan friends, taking the extra step to ensure certain dishes met her dietary needs.
I highly recommend this spot if you're in search of a relaxed place to catch up with friends over delicious food and drinks.
Dietary restrictions: Plant-based options are offered.“

“Super fun cocktail bar/speakeasy. The drinks were creative and our server was knowledgeable and knew what to recommend based on people's preferences. I recommend making a reservation if going on the weekend. The interior is super girly, lots of pink. Perfect for grabbing a drink with your friends. My only complaint is once our drinks were served, it was very hard to get our server to come back to the table to refill water and get the bill.“

“Ended up here accidentally on a layover: Hands down, the best ramen I’ve ever had (springy, slurpy perfection), amazing cocktails (if you like gin the Japanese 75 is a must try!), and whatever the whipped cream, creme brûlée’d banana dessert was tasted like heaven. I even ordered another tonkotsu ramen to go (all the way to Florida) to bring back to my fiancé. They separated all of it, packaged it so it wouldn’t leak, and wrote directions on specific timing for heating up each item! Very impressive service. I’ll be back again!“

“Came on a Wednesday around 615 as a party of 4 with about a 15-20 minute wait. Our drinks came out very quickly and were some of the best cocktails that I've had in the city. Everything was complex with many different flavors going on but also balanced. We ordered the fried squid and chicken karaage (which was insanely juicy) that paired perfectly with our drinks. I'm already planning my next trip back.“

“Vibes are perfect. Non-pretentious but top quality service, drinks and food.
Honey vesper is a must and definitely get the Wagyu Sando — is extremely reasonably priced compared to what you’d pay elsewhere.
Excellent hospitality and vibes — never too loud and is a perfect union of elevated and casual.“

“We’ve now been twice and we can’t wait to go back for a 3rd time soon. Foremost, the space is so beautifully decorated. You’re really transported back to the NY speakeasy days of the early 1900s. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the Daisy’s southern bits, roaring 20s Shrimp, Chilean sea bass, lamb chops, duck vindaloo…AND coconut naan. All were perfectly executed! Lastly, and you can’t miss these…the desserts are out of control. Chocolate cake and Guava Cheesecake!! You gotta save room. Alex also provided us with top notch service. We love this place!“

“Very neat spot, the bar and seating area are gorgeous. Service was very good. My only complaint is the high cost of drinks, even by NYC standards. Cocktails started at $25 and a shot was $20. It was a good experience and I'm glad we checked it out but we won't return purely due to the prices.“
