“Amazing atmosphere. Visiting from MA and this place came highly recommended. Food and the drinks were fantastic! Magda is an Excellent manager and provides Exceptional service. Make sure to see Kevin when you go, he was great! Will be back again on my next trip to NY.“
“We came here on the recommendation of a friend and even with her glowing review, we were still blown away! Every dish was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were a steal. Our family had the truffle quesadillas, the carne asada tacos, and the langosta tacos. We shared an order of guac and the kids had the flan and churros for dessert. Great dinner; we can't wait to return!“
“Before I even lived in the neighborhood Jajaja was easily one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. I have brought so many friends here because it is perfect from anywhere to a date night to a chill lunch/dinner to catch up with friends. Their cocktails are amazing especially their version of an espresso martini. All of the staff is so friendly and always make sure you're taken care of at all times. On top of everything and most importantly the food is AMAZING. Although I am not vegan anymore, I still can call this my favorite restaurant because they do everything on their menu so well and it's rare in my experience where vegan food is indistinguishable from non-plant based food and my favorite is the enchiladas mole. Highly recommend!“
“Went to Superbueno after the Bad Bunny conocer with my friends. We were able to be seated ride away, our drinks were tasty and pork belly tacos savory, rich with flavor. My mouth is legit watery thinking back about it. The music and vibe was popping. But what stood out to me the most was the service and workers, they looked like they enjoyed working there, all smiles and friendly. I love that. Would definitely come back!“
“Had a birthday celebration here and the food was so delicious. Staff super friendly. The place itself was LES style, seemingly cramped but as a native I know that’s just how things were built back then. Glad my sister made the reservation to eat here ✨“
“I went to this place in Nolita because I heard a lot about their Corn Y Cubano and it didn't disappoint. The corn is grilled right in front of you with all the toppings you could want, making it a great lunch for a sunny day. I also tried their steak sandwich and found it really tasty, though the fries were a bit soggy for my liking. The restaurant is pretty busy, but the service is fast and the staff are nice. It's a good spot for a quick bite if you're in the area and don't mind waiting a bit.“
“Came in on Good Friday around 6:00 for dinner and sat at the bar. We were warmly welcomed and ordered house margaritas, which were perfectly balanced. We also ordered a mezcal flight. The bartender, Eric, was flexible with the choices in the flight. We ordered from the happy hour menu and had guacamole, beef tacos, and beef nachos, which were thankfully not served as a pile of chips. Each chip was layered with the most tender, flavorful beef, a beautiful pickled jalapeno, tomato, and cheese, with a serving of guacamole adorning the center of the plate. The beef tacos were well seasoned and tender, and the salsa verde was fresh and crisp. The best part of our evening was the hospitality. Eric was personable, informative, and attentive. He educated us about the different mezcals and tequilas and gave us some tips and tricks for navigating the city. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely visit again.“
“Los Tacos No. 1 is my favorite taco spot. When I found out about this seafood version of their restaurant, I knew I had to try it.Especial Ceviche - Love the crunchy tortilla bottom and creamy avocado slices on top. Very refreshing.Fish Taco - The fish was so fresh and fried perfectly. Absolutely delicious.Spicy Shrimp Taco - Not too spicy. So flavorful and tasty. It's awesome that Los. Tacos No. 1 is right next door, too. Next time, I'll grab a chicken taco before heading over for another shrimp and fish taco.“
“This is a very cute, quaint, comfy lil place. The food was amazing, the service was awesome, and the atmosphere was wonderful! I didn't take pics, but the presentation was really good as well.Vegetarian options: Everything! And it's soooo good!“
“We were super hungry and found this family-owned hole-in-the-wall place and decided to check it out…and I’m so glad we did! Margaritas were amazing (and so many flavor choices!) and the menu was perfect for me as a gluten free vegetarian. Everything was clearly labeled and there was a vegetarian section. I had enchiladas which were soo delicious. You won’t regret trying this place!“
“I cannot sing the praises of this place and the staff enough! We had a long day at the museum and we were all starving and the kids were very cranky. We took forever trying to find a place that they would all find something to eat at but that place didn't work out so we came here not realizing how lucky we were. After having a quick glance at the menu I realized two of my children would probably not eat anything. Two of the ladies that work there helped us work it out to piece together a meal for them with components they already have. It took quite a while figuring everything out but they were patient and helpful. The food was outstanding and the cocktails and mocktails were phenomenal. I wish I lived closer because this would be a regular place for me. Highly recommend!“
“Recent dinner at Tacombi definitely hit the spot. The tacos are packed with well seasoned meat, the crispy fish was nicely dressed with slaw and sauce, the salsa are delicious and pack a nice little punch. The tostada was crispy with a flavorful avocado topping and the quesadilla just barely visible under the mountain of Al pastor. My michelada was nice but I'd give the agave wine margs a pass if you're a marg purist. Juan Carlos took great care of us. On hand just when we needed with what we needed, friendly, and left us plenty of time to chow and digest before sending us on our merry way. We really enjoyed the little cabana - it's nice when the COVID inspired street cabana matches the good vibes indoors so even the dog can enjoy the night out.“
“This was a delivery order and it was my first time. Mexican food can be hit or miss, especially from city to city. This was a hit right out of the park. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito with guacamole and chips, and one side of salsa and a side of guacamole. Portions were impressively large. The burrito was a 10 out of 10. The guacamole was also a 10 and the price for all of it was very reasonable, especially for NYC. This place is a game changer. Whatever you're doing... Keep on doing it!“
“Ive been here a couple of times and as a LA native, this place definitely makes tacos that remind me of home. There is only outdoor seating so I would keep that in mind if you plan on visiting during colder weather. But The tacos were delicious and I got way more queso and chips than I was expecting. They were sold out the last time I stopped by so that should give you a good idea of the quality of the food.“
“Tacombi UES is the best Mexican on the upper east side. The food, service, and drinks are all oustanding. Mauricio is also one the best bartenders I’ve ever had. He is personable and attentive and makes fantastic drinks. Highly recommend tacombi UES to anyone looking for authentic Mexican street tacos and fantastic drinks made by Mauricio.“
“I'll keep this short and to the point: this is the best burrito I've had in the city hands down, and it's not close. Everything fresh and phenomenally seasoned, the lengua is succulent, the al pastor just the right spicy-sweet mix, I can't wait to try a few more meats. The staff is super friendly and the food comes out quick. As far as ambiance, getting in and out of there in record time is all you really want from a food truck. The best.“
“Sloppy and yummy Mexican tacos. So so so good! The taste was great, so flavourful. The soup next to it was perfect. I would highly recommend this place. Price was a little steep for my understanding but maybe that’s just the area. Friendly staff, cute atmosphere and great taste. What a dinner! Be prepared to get your hands dirty!“
“Best tacos in New York CityWhen I come to New York, all I think about is Rostaco. It's really delicious here tooTacos and Consome are steamedIf you see it while passing by, be sure to try it!!!This is a really good restaurant that locals know!!!“
“Stop by for dinner without a reservation and The Manager and hostess were very accommodating on a very busy night . We had the fish empanadas that were deliciousA couple of MargaritasGrilled Branzino and fish schnitzelA wonderful experienceKudos to the CheffExcellent service, fantastic food and great atmosphere!Definitely a special place“
“I love coming to this location! The service is always on point. Attentive waitstaff and fresh tasting food. The drinks are delicious as well. The ambiance is so nice and the music was a nice mix of Spanish music. If you're lucky enough to have Luis as your server he is amazing!“
“We loved the bottomless brunch experience here, just $30 for 90 minutes and the drinks were strong! I loved the breakfast burrito and French toast, and the Queso FUNDIDO to start!Amazing and attentive service and a space that was great for our birthday brunch!“
“lovely hidden gem on Avenue A between 13th and 14th streets. The place is family owned and operated and the food is to do for. It is reasonably priced, I often find myself trying to figure out if I want a tamale or a shredded beef or pork taco.“
“I have been going to G's for over 20 years. The food is excellent. I love the breakfast burrito with chorizo, and their tortas, and their flautas. Everything thing is outstanding. They make great coffee The service is awesome. Very nice.“
“Service was really great, all of the different positions of staff were very attentive! Go for the guac and 7 salsas, will not disappoint. The criticisms, I had were surrounding the price points, and menu variety. The prices were absolutely too high for the portions! I understand a small, curated menu, but it was too eclectic for what it was!“
“Thank you very much for this moment. Excellent food, attentive service with good advice. The service team is superbDish: mole del puebla and vg quesadillasNacho starterDessert: plantain flambéed with rum and scoop of vanilla ice creamDrink: large iced lemon margaritaSee you soon ❤️“
“This is one of my favorite spots in the city. I've gone 3 times and everyone I bring here absolutely loves it. The food is incredible and reasonably priced. The restaruant is youthful and lively (though it depends on what time you go-I've only gone later in the evening so the crowd tends to be younger). The food like high-end Mexican food without an outrageous price tag. I like how each taco order comes with one so you can mix and match-I recommend the cauliflower taco and the birria tacos. Also the guacamole order comes cold with a BIG bowl of guac and unlimited chips, amazing. I've only had positive experiences with the servers, and the margaritas are delicious. If you're with a group, I recommend a pitcher (you get about 7-8 drinks for 75-85$) Overall a staple spot in the east village. Highly highly recommend.“
“Delicious food. Shared the plato grande de picadera and it was plenty. Staff was very attentive- the manager caught our attention to check on us and the waitress went out of her way to made sure to get our orders correct. The drink deal was pretty incredible for their size and margarita flavors were unique. The boisterous ambiance might be a little loud for certain occasions, but overall the night was enjoyable!“
“This place is amazing! I took my aunt's from out of town and they just had a great time! The food is spectacular. The best chicken enchiladas I have had and I am from Texas so that says a lot. The fish dishes are amazing. I got to get a taste from my aunt's plates. The margaritas are the best I have had in years. My aunt's are margarita connoisseurs and they loved the top shelf and the watermelon. I thought the watermelon was smooth and crisp with a hint of fun. We sat at the bar and the bartender Luis was just the best. He helped elevate the night with recommendations and brought a spirit of fun and enjoyment to the ambiance. He was very knowledgeable on the food, the drinks, and the regulars. He still took the time to take care of the new people who are learning the ropes at the place. The crowd was very respectful and happy to be there and you could tell that the regulars are in a good mood. Sebastian was just lovely and found a way to make sure we got to enjoy the night with good seats. The family ambiance that created this restaurant is felt in the food and the details that combined make this restaurant a gem. I highly recommend it.“
“I went to this place and I have to say that Eliana was amazing. She suggested me to have the carne asada. She provided amazing service, Excellent choices. The margarita and mezcalita delusions. I Definitely will come back again to this place.“
“Embarking on a culinary expedition to this local taqueria, I found myself ensconced in a veritable fiesta of flavors and textures, a testament to the prowess of the owner, Jose, whose recommendations became the lodestar of our gastronomic journey. The Steak a la Mexicano Tacos were a triumph of generosity, with portions scoring a robust 9/10, each bite a harmonious blend of succulence and spice, though the freshness fluttered at a 7/10, leaving a slight yearning for the zest of just-plucked produce. The Chicken Fajita Quesadilla was a vibrant tapestry of flavor, meriting an 8/10, with the cheese melting into the well-seasoned chicken in a decadent embrace, though the ingredients, while robust, hovered at a 7/10, occasionally lacking the punch of peak harvest vivacity. The Barbacoa Soup was a simmering cauldron of comfort, its depth and complexity cocooning the soul in warmth, yet it too danced around the 7/10 mark for freshness, suggesting a slight detour from the garden's embrace. The service, however, was unparalleled, a perfect 10/10, with staff moving with the precision and grace of seasoned culinarians, ensuring every need was anticipated and met with a smile.Presentation was an 8/10, each dish a canvas where color and form played in delightful harmony, inviting the eye to feast long before the palate. Overall, the experience was a solid 8.5/10, a delectable sojourn that promises to beckon the taste buds back to its doors. This taqueria, under the sage guidance of Jose, melds tradition with a hint of modernity, crafting an ambiance where each visit unfurls new layers of culinary delight.“
“went for the bottomless brunch... the food was good and the drinks were middle strength... the waitress was THE BEST. favorite part of the meal was the shrimp ceviche and the fruit cups with mango puree.Vegetarian options: There isn't much for vegetarians/vegans... many things have meat, cheese, crema, sour cream, etc... the safest things are the plantains and the mushroom tacos“
“Had seen this pop up on instagram and looked absolutely amazing, so made a reservation here for my first night in NYC. I am always up to try a 100% gluten free restaurant, especially when it is entirely plant-based since I am dairy free as well! It’s a rare occasion where I can order anything on the menu and the experience did not disappoint. The staff was extremely friendly and despite being very busy, I never felt as if I was kept waiting. I opted for the nachos since I couldn’t remember the last time I was able to order nachos at a restaurant. What arrived was something resembling a work of art–a tower of nachos stacked layer by layer with toppings–guacamole, vegan chorizo - so good!, vegan queso, vegan sour cream, beans, salsa, jalapenos. The portion was way too big just for one person so it’s all that I ordered that evening, even though I had been eyeing the empanadas (which I ended up ordering for lunch a few days later bc I couldn’t get them out of my mind). I’d say they were just okay, but I’m glad I tried them. The nachos definitely take the cake and I would order them again without a doubt. Highly recommend Bar Verde for its friendly service and delicious food!“
“Came here for some post-work happy hour margs w/ coworkers and it is the perfect spot for that. Lowkey atmosphere, a little cramped but not too bad compared to other bars in the area. The photo I took does NOT do this justice but I might just have to say that these could be the best tacos I've ever had. Cauliflower tacos for all my veggie friends out there - an absolute must. Chips and guac came with absolutely ample chips in a way I haven't seen a restaurant do in quite some time. Food came out super fast but in a way that didn't make us feel rushed. Will 1000% be back.“
“Came here today for lunch with my husband and it was not only delicious food, but the service was amazing. The women were so kind and the restaurant was beautiful, colorful, and cozy. We ordered the Quesabirria and it was out of this world 10/10 stars! I highly recommend coming to this place for some fresh flavors and for a nice and friendly atmosphere.“
“Ate at Ponche Taqueria yesterday with a friend before seeing a show. Great food, and freindly service! Menu is basic, but offers plenty. Guacamole was delicious as were the taco combo plates! Get off the beaten path a bit & you will be rewarded!“
“Recently hosted the BEST private party at Tampico! Joe was great to work with - super quick with responses and very helpful in getting me all the information I needed. The bartenders amazing and very friendly all throughout the night. Overall Tampico was very spacious and the perfect vibe. Would HIGHLY recommend for any size group to host your next event here!“
“Easily one of my favorite al vegan spots in Manhattan (and there are plenty to chose from). Went for brunch with non-vegan friends and family and EVERYONE loved it - clean plate club all around. Highlight for me was easily the corn ribs. Don't pass on the churros either. Family loved the nachos. Great atmosphere too, vibey without the music blasting so you can actually have a nice conversation. Definitely one of my favorite spots to date.“
“I was so happy when this place moved into the area, because there are very few good options for Mexican food, or at least there were. This place is really amazing there meat is fresh, their vegetables are fresh and their tacos are really great. The staff is super nice. The taco al Pastor here might be among the best in the city only because the pineapple is cooked on the grill and it’s really nice. That charred caramelized pineapple as a real beautiful flavor. Reasonable prices too.“
“This has become my favorite spot on St. Marks Street. I often come here for tacos and tostadas when I’m in the area. The tostadas have crunchy shells with moist and tasty beef. Everything I’ve had here is full of flavor and delicious. Always fresh - the taste and texture is just right.“
“I love love love this place. Best steak tacos around!! Caesar is an amazing bartender! Keeps my glass full and cold! ❤️Whether it’s a hard day or a great day I always leave this place smiling ?Catch us here for amazing taco Tuesdays ?“
“This place was awesome!! I asked how long takeout would be, and the very kind host said he could make it extra fast. the food was ready in literally under 7 minutes, it was wild!! and delicious! got cheese enchiladas and quesadillas. the vibes inside were great, the decor was stylish - I hope to go back when i’m in less of a rush so I can enjoy the restaurant to the fullest, and try the drinks :)“
“This is my second time coming to this Tacombi and it never fails to satisfy the craving of a well made taco along with excellent service. Our waiter Jesus took our order quickly, he was attentive and able to accommodate our dietary restrictions with no issues whatsoever. Will definitely be back again for the great food and the more than excellent service!Dietary restrictions: No cheese“
“My sister and I stopped in Jajaja Mexicana for lunch. The restaurant is inside Whole Foods, and is in the far back of the dining area. We each had the turmeric cauliflower bowl which was absolutely delicious. We also shared chips and salsa and were able to try the hot sauces The charcoal hot sauce is a must try! I highly recommend checking out Jajaja!“
“Nice atmosphere, really tasty and cheap meals. We had lunch, 2 people for $26 which is great for the area. Very generous plates and burritos, with drink included and little carrot cake for desert. Only if you really eat a lot will be able to finish the plate! Recommend!!“
“This is a great place that I unexpectedly stumbled upon. From the outside it kind of just looks like a small convenience store, but once we ordered and got our food were were so happy. You basically just order your food and they bring it to you after it's done. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was packed with flavor. Another person in my party ordered the chicken quesadilla and is still raving about it! It's really a great find on 9th Avenue and will definitely be back.“
“Faith is a wonderful server! Started with Naked Guacamole, and Shrimp Taquitos. Burrito Carnta, Quesadilla Carne Asada, BBQ Seitan Taco with Rice and Beans, and Shrimp Taco. All the food was AMAZING. Cadillac Margarita, Tito's, Negra Modelo's and Justin Cabernet Sauvignons made for a fantastic evening. Thank you we will be back“
“Great music, great atmosphere. We had a good service, they forgot one of us and the others had to wait for us to eat all at the same time… Food was delicious, drinks too. I feel it was maybe a little bit pricey, specially on the drinks side but we had a great moment and we could definitely go back anytime.“
“This place is amazing! I’m shocked there’s not more reviews raving about it. I started working in the area recently and although there’s taco spots on every block, I make the 10 minute walk here every day with no problem. The food is amazing, the meat tender and not dry. And the staff is extremely kind and welcoming. The lady makes my food with love every time and I feel at home. Thank you guys so much for your hospitality. Will be coming here forever :)“
“At 6-7 PM on a Friday night, you can walk in and dine without a large crowd. The neon and string lights make dining here vibey. The portion sizes are large, and the prices are reasonable. I ordered the Fried Fish Tacos, which I would recommend. The chips and salsa are a must-try! The chips are so crispy and perfectly salted. The drink menu also had a ton of cocktails I wish I had tried -- maybe next time!“
“I stopped by for drinks around 7pm on a Saturday with some friends. Thankfully there was a table available and we were seated right away. Bosco's has an extensive drink menu, and happy hour if you go during certain times on weekdays. The drinks were average NY prices, and were very good. I got the Sam Said So, while my friend got a Negroni. Both were very good! The service was great, and the decor was fun.“
