“What a delightful surprise tucked away in a lovely side street in Union City. On a dog walk in the neighborhood, I wandered by only to return that evening. This menu is by no means standard, it introduces elements of northern Mexican cuisine with nuanced flavors to deliver a sophisticated plate. The same attention given to the culinary side of things is repeated throughout what I like to define as Spanish bistro. The owner Yannin and her son Justin have imbued their space with original touches, hidden nooks and happy, unobtrusive music; altogether a lovely experience whether in company or alone. A neighborhood treasure.“

“My Mexico to go is an amazing restaurant with plenty of seating and a friendly waitress who helped recommend dishes, and offered an amazing service. The waitress, (Dayanna) made sure to check up with me frequently to ensure I had everything I needed answering my request. The food is just a great as the service, with great portions that will leave you wishing you had more space in your stomach. Sauces are a plenty, and tortillas are offered complimentary with your plate, all for a cheap price. My Mexico To Go, has quickly become my go to spot whenever I want a delicious meal at a fair price with excellent customer service.“

“We wanted to celebrate getting our second vaccine dose and what better way to celebrate than with a bunch of carbs? I thought of gyros because I had just been watching Joshua Weissman on YouTube make them, so naturally I developed a sudden craving. I also had this place bookmarkedn already, so it was the perfect time to try it! We ordered via Seamless and it came on time. I had the lamb gyro and added fries. The portion was huge and it wasn't just stuffed with lettuce but it had a lot of meat in it. For gyros, you have the option of picking white sauce or tzatziki. I chose tzatziki but after trying the white sauce on hubby's lamb platter, I wish I had gotten that. It's kind of like the white sauce that comes with Halal Guys (although he said he preferred the tzatziki). The fries were too soggy and oily for me but it was better than no fries. He had a large lamb platter which was huge. We had leftovers for the next day. It was weird though because for his, he wasn't allowed to pick the sauce. Also if you wanted to add hot sauce, it would cost extra. I've never heard of hot sauce costing extra but I can always just add my own. Not a deal breaker for me. Can't wait to order again!“

Love this place. I can confidently go to this place two to three times a week because of the cost. You get three tacos with cilantro and chopped onions. The meat is great, tasty and well seasoned.
The only downside is the wait for take-out has been kind of inconsistent every time I go. The tacos come out hot and delicious every time but sometimes I'm waiting a bit too long.

But guess what? Affordable, hot delicious tacos will always get you 5-stars.“

“Very good food, mom and pop atmosphere and clean. People were nice and food was authentic. Make sure to try the red and green salsa! Food comes so you season as you like. Just ask for salsa on the side. Portions are huge so come with an appetite (even then you'll probably leave with leftovers)“

“The tamales are great variety of flavors. Parking there is difficult but if you are a local then the local is great! Just behind Bergenline on New York Ave. The tamales are fresh and the orders come out quickly. We love the mole and comino flavor best but all are excellent!“

I’ve eaten Peruvian food in a couple places since my mom is Peruvian, and when we tried this place, we loved it immediately and knew that we would come back here to eat food from here. “Consistently good food, I’ve never been disappointed by this place. I moved to Weehawken in 2021 and every single time I get food from here it’s magnificent. Yes the prices have gone up but so have the prices of materials for restaurants, I’m certain they’re increases are necessary for them to just, function and pay their employees. Regardless of that, I will keep returning. My only gripe is with the tortilla soup, that one is really really expensive for the amount that you get. But the street style tacos, the Birria tacos, the quesadillas, the enchiladas, the guacamole,… It’s always incredible.“

“When you look for fast food restaurants...this is the place to go. It is the fastest Taco Bell I have ever seen. It wasn't because they were not taking other orders, it was because you could see the whole team working just like that...a team. To top it off, the place looks super clean and the person that gave us the food was actually smiling (not often in fast food restaurants).
