“What a delightful surprise tucked away in a lovely side street in Union City. On a dog walk in the neighborhood, I wandered by only to return that evening. This menu is by no means standard, it introduces elements of northern Mexican cuisine with nuanced flavors to deliver a sophisticated plate. The same attention given to the culinary side of things is repeated throughout what I like to define as Spanish bistro. The owner Yannin and her son Justin have imbued their space with original touches, hidden nooks and happy, unobtrusive music; altogether a lovely experience whether in company or alone. A neighborhood treasure.“

“I order here all the time; the food is great and has flavor, not bland like other places. I definitely recommend. Minor complaints is that they don’t follow instructions too well; I ask them to put the meats separate from the rice; sometimes they listen, but sometimes they don’t as you see in the picture. Also, I advise that if you order a Coca Cola, make sure you let them know you don’t want Pepsi because someone there seems to not know the difference between the 2.

The highlight of the stay was our server Nala. Exceptional customer service. With all due respect in my humble 30 year professional opinion she belongs somewhere else making quadruple the amount of money she makes there if not more. Yes the prices have gone up but so have the prices of materials for restaurants, I’m certain they’re increases are necessary for them to just, function and pay their employees. Regardless of that, I will keep returning. My only gripe is with the tortilla soup, that one is really really expensive for the amount that you get. But the street style tacos, the Birria tacos, the quesadillas, the enchiladas, the guacamole,… It’s always incredible.“
