“For an upscale vibe Peruvian place, this is the spot. Been here multiple times and the food is great with the downstairs vibes giving you upscale without needing to be all dressed up.The ceviche is a must get, as well as the jalea which is the fried seafood platter, Juanita’s chicken (very tender and not dry at all), as well as the lomo saltado (top pick for non-seafood ppl) which is the wok fried beef chunks and veggies. The prices are higher but the portions align with price paid in my opinion. Their green sauce is good and can be used on anything.Drinks were strong and tasty. Staff were friendly and bathroom was clean.“

“Amazing food. Just simply amazing. Bewitching even. Came here on a Tuesday night (not exactly a going out night) and pretty early too around 6:30 or so. Ordered seafood and the name sake of the restaurant: The Octopus. What arrived was an obscenity of deliciousness. Tentacle was very large with garnish of the Parsnip Puree. It was incredibly soft and tasty. Our server Alejandra was was great and very knowledgeable and made suggestions that were right on point. Guacamole, Lobster Taquitos, Ceviche, my god those were delicious! But the key was the namesake of the restaurant. Octopus was not just delicious it was obscenely so! Cocktails were great even though I don't particularly like them (I think that straight up drink is better). And then to top it all off were the Churros. Best ones I've had since Spain and they were missing the melted chocolate (that might be a great idea). One thing though I didn't count on were the musicians. They just add so much to the ambiance of the place, so if you visit make sure you have some cash on hand. You probably will need it.“

From the outside, it looks like it’s just going to be a tourist spot. But going inside was a very different experience. The decor is so much fun and the vibe is awesome. Definitely brought some energy up which was needed. I sat at the bar and the bartender was really nice and still left me alone. The espresso martini was good & I had a chicken sandwich which was amazing. I've shared it with friends and colleagues. Today I experienced something even better. I placed a delivery order at work and when I got home to have this wonderful meal, my order was wrong, I like dark meat, they sent me white. I went on their website and left a complaint of my disappointment no less than 10 minutes, the store manager, Alexis called me to apologize and asked how could he fix this for me. That's what I call excellent customer service. I will wait to see if he follows through, but the call made my day. Thank you, Alexis!“

It was to our surprise that the kitchen was fully open after 10pm! My friend ordered the Salmon and I got the Ceasar salad which was very delicious, however, I regretted not ordering the mofongo. People that ordered around me had me craving it! The DJ was really good too; played old school music and currents ones. All the servers provided great customer service. What I liked the most was the crowd- it was almost empty and everyone was just living their best life dancing on their chairs and playing games. If you’re young and single looking for a place to meet people; I doubt this is the place. Everyone was in their late 30s and older hanging out after the brunch crowd went on their merry way. “This is by far, and I mean BY FAR the cleaniest Dominican restaurant i been in. Pastelitos on point, that's hard to find. Most importantly Fresh, Good vibes plus excellent service, We all know that's hard to find now in days. Im really happy with this spot. After pandemic restaurant and service not same anymore, and more expensive. Definitely go back.“

“Very cute and cozy restaurant.Food was mixed.Steak and eggs are just wonderful when avocado toast is a big disappointment.Avocado was not fresh, although tuna tartar tasty and mouth watering.Grilled octopus-can't miss.Perfect reasoned and cooked to perfection with just the right amount of sauce.Saviche was very nice as well.Unlimited mimosas were very limited since our server was never around“

“My friends and I came here for brunch and were not disappointed. I had the jerk chicken wings and shrimp & grits, both of which were fresh and full of flavor. The staff were pleasant enough and the prices were fair. I'll definitely return when I'm in the area next.“

“I recently visited this Spanish chicken restaurant and overall had a positive experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating a pleasant environment for a meal. The staff was attentive and friendly, contributing to the overall enjoyable dining experience. Now, let's delve into the highlight—the Spanish chicken. While the dishes were tasty, I couldn't help but feel that they fell slightly short of my expectations. The chicken was well-cooked, but there was a subtle element missing that would have elevated it to perfection. Perhaps a bit more seasoning or a unique twist could have added that extra flair.Despite this minor critique, the menu offered a diverse selection of Spanish-inspired dishes. The appetizers, such as patatas bravas and chorizo croquettes, showcased the chef's creativity and commitment to traditional flavors. The presentation was noteworthy, with each dish appearing as a carefully crafted masterpiece. The drink menu was well-curated, featuring a selection of Spanish wines and cocktails. The sangria, in particular, was a delightful complement to the meal, adding to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. The dessert, churros with chocolate dipping sauce, was a sweet ending to the meal. The churros were well-prepared, offering a satisfying conclusion to the culinary journey. In conclusion, while the overall experience was positive, I've rated this restaurant four stars as I believe there is room for improvement in the flavor profile of the Spanish chicken. I still recommend this establishment for its ambiance, attentive service, and creative menu, with the hope that the culinary aspects can reach“

“This is one of my favorite hidden secrets in NYC! Tucked in a loading bay for a building, the owners prepare delicious Ecuadorian food at unbeatable prices. The food is all prepared same day so the place smells fantastic. They give huge portions, and sometimes they throw in a fresh fried plantain for regulars! Their hot sauce is NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. If you talk to Tony, the owner, in advance sometimes you can buy a bottle, but it's free when you put it on the food you ordered and also made fresh daily. It's the best deal in midtown. (Owned and operated by a great family who always remember me whenever I come in for lunch. This place is lunch only- come early because they sell out fast!“

“My husband and I had the green pepper steak with yellow rice and an avocado salad and he had a a nutty punch (I ? that's what is called) and I had a coconut mojito. My son had crispy shrimp (10) with yellow rice. My daughter had French fries and fruit punch. It was a flawless meal for everyone! Everything was flavorful, the sauce in the pepper steak is the best in the city (flornde mayo standard). This new location was spacious and comfortable, not as tight as at 101 (the og location) even though it's is smaller. The gentleman that makes the drinks and waited on us was wonderful (I forgot his name bc of his drinks ?) he was attentive and made some good drinks. one drink was all I needed to fail a straight line test to the restroom, not drunk but definitely tipsy. My husband had another lol.Tip** Don't forget to order the spicy sauce that comes with the half a chicken, its amazing!Overall we had a great dinner, kids were happy and we were happy. We will go this spot more often it's closer to home and the food is still amazing.Oh and when you order the kids a fruit punch, it's real juice mixed together (used for the sangria I believe).Kid-friendliness: One of the hostesses was amazing to my 2 kids age 3 and 11. She was very thoughtful and was so kind, she even went to the store and brought them candy! I mean not 2, a bag full with two of everything, one in pink, one in blue. From kinder to gummies, ring pops and sour straws. So, she is either is really sweet or hates parents ? but seriously I was in awe out of 40yrs in NYC I have never received such consideration and such a genuinely nice gesture/and such above and beyond customer service.“

“I chose this shop after coming out of B&H with my purchases. I wanted something different than a subway sandwich. Food was great but the portions were small. I'm used to larger chicken. I guess it would be good for someone on a diet.“
