I tried to walk in, and was packed, but that made me want to come back two days later with my friend Brian, who actually recommended it to me.

Again packed thank god we had a reservation, tight space but is exactly what makes it special, we had a table but we decided to sit a the bar because it had a more fun vibe, Josue the bartender greeted us very warm and friendly.

“Cute spot in the East Village to get a small bite or a coffee. I dropped in on a cold Winter day to get a warm empanada , which was a good idea . I ordered the Papa Con Queso (potatoes and cheese ) which they have to fry up fresh for you (other empanada are not fried.) There are cosy places to sit and several different sauces on the table (i liked the green herb one.) Staff are nice and the empanada was like $3.50. It was crispy and tasty - a nice snack if you're in the area .“

“We had a private party at Havana Central. We occupied the upstairs space. We had about 40 people but the space can accommodate more The party coordinator Elaine was so helpful and accommodating. The food and drinks were amazing. The party packages were a tremendous value. The service was excellent The space was perfect-open and airy. The music was set to a perfect level so we could have conversation without having to yell. They had tv screens with the World Cup playing. The upstairs space even has a privet bar and bathroom.“

“I stopped by this little restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. I ordered a mangú con tres golpes and it was absolutely on point, well prepared, flavorful, and just the comfort food I was craving. The jugo de Chinola was not overly sweet and it was just right and refreshing, as it should be.

The service was just as great. Yadira took care of us with a big smile, quick service, and genuine kindness that made the experience even better. For such a small spot, it really delivers in both taste and hospitality.
