“We were a group of 25 with a preset menu of 4 selections. The service was very friendly, the meals were delicious and service was great. We had a birthday to celebrate and you joined us in song and music. Thank you for a memorable lunch with our visitors from Israel.“
“Went here to celebrate Lou's birthday. We had a fantastic time. The server treated us like family, the vibe feels like historic NYC, the food is well worth the price. Our table ordered the classic knickerbocker 28 ounce steaks to share (with baked potato, mash potato and creamed spinach), tuna plates and off menu meatloaf special . We also had calamari, beet salad, cornbread and caviar pie appetizers. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and plated. I would love to come back on a jazz performance night. Highly recommend this place and well worth the price, especially for a special occasion.“
“Best bar in FiDi! The bartenders are super friendly and pored so much wine for me and the Guinness is on point (can’t try Guinness anywhere else but here), no Rudy customers like other bars in FiDi, and just shocked at how reasonable it is! (Independent family run). Have to come back for their food!“
“Loved this place. Great beer (though if you’re British they aren’t shorting you on the pints a US pint is 100ml less than a UK one). Fantastic food. I had the Salmon with Cesear Salad. Nachos were amazing too. My wife’s burger was equally good. I’ve never had one so big.Wish I’d bought the souvenir T-Shirt they were the best quality I saw in NYC.Dietary restrictions: I bought a fish dish which was very good and we had Nachos.“
“the jazz music at 8 every Sunday night. the amazing wait staff, Stephanie,Michael . Ear is an Icon, landmark and vital neighborhood pub for the world. highest recommendation for an authentic NYC location. music late nights during the week too!“
“This was my first visit and definitely will not be my last. The food and drinks were delicious and this is a great place to sit down for a meal after a very long, stressful day at work. We ordered a variety of skewers and I tried fried milk for the first time. It was great!“
“My family and I stopped here for a quick dinner late Thursday. The ambiance was fun, with a wide variety of music and happy patrons laughing throughout the restaurant. Although the music was a tad loud for regular volume conversations, we enjoyed it overall. The food was enjoyable and the service was amazing! We had a very attentive server and the manager was kind enough to check on us during our meal.Thank you“
“I'm giving Malone's five stars. I absolutely loved it. First of all, the service was fantastic! I mean our server was professional, friendly, and just lovely. I came here for the weekend brunch, and I like that they also offered non-brunch items. I have never like eating waffles or eggs in the afternoon. I ended up getting Buffalo chicken wings. I love wings and I can say these were amongst the best wings I have had. They were just crispy and delicious. And the fries were yummy too.“
“This place was AMAZING. We had the mussels, burrata salad, pork chops, and salmon. Every single item was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was calm and quiet in comparison to a lot of other places. We spent about 2 hours here and enjoyed every minute. The only reason I would give it 4 stars not 5 is because we went 30 ish minutes without someone checking on us and had to wave down an employee for drinks and our check. Other than that the staff was super nice! Love the feel of this place!“
“Highly recommend Bubo for your next dinner option or happy hour! The food is delicious and offers much more variety than your typical bars. The ambiance was warm and cozy and a great spot for a date night or hanging out with some friends. It’s located near a great area with the subway close by which makes commuting that much easier. Would love to come try their brunch next!“
“Delicious food & wonderful service. Came here for a small birthday celebration on a weekend & really appreciated that they didn’t rush us out at all. The staff let us enjoy our long lunch & girls catch up. Much appreciated, with so many places in the city in a rush mode with customers.“
“My husband and I came here for Valentines Day a couple of weeks ago, and have been thinking about it since! Everything was exceptional, from the steak and fries, to the service. And the host Chris was an unexpected and special touch to our evening. Thank you Chris and The Standard!“
“Came here on a Tuesday night with coworkers for Trivia Night. We had the happy hour wings and chips and avocado, both we delicious!!! I would come back just to eat it again. The servers are nice and the ambiance is nice for a after work hangout or a nice dinner date.“
“Food was great. Staff super friendly. Just a bummer that they clumped the 3 different parties at back to back tables. I realize this is common with restaurants during slow hours, but this was overkill. Too close, like we were all sharing the same conversation.“
“Wandered into this bar on a friday and had a delightful experience. Impressive service, great cocktails, delicious top tier bar food. Staff were friendly and attentive. The volume level is perfect for conversation and I enjoyed that they had ESPN on with “
“My daughter and I are in NYC visiting. We placed an online order and went to pick it up. They could not find the order. The employees found it and made the order fast and gave us a couple drinks on the house while we waited. Employees were so nice and the best part was the food was great! My daughter said it was one of the best burgers she has ever had. Thanks for a great experience and meal:)“
“If you want to end your night after experiencing times square, this is the place. Just a minute walk. This pub is lit. Made some good friends and the live music makes you go round twoParking: Parking anywhere in NYC is difficult. Plan ahead or wait to get lucky finding a spot“
“This place is cute. It's small and cozy but plays really great music not only Spanish but English too Ans it's not even that annoyingly loud. The staff top tier, they're great and amazing they make sure you're okay within a reasonable time and they're like annoying about it. I only had appetizers and drinks and both was really good I can only imagine their food is as good as the apps. Overall experience was great I love it. It's a great place to go with friends to catch up or even with a partner to have dinner.“
“Delicious food once again. Chicken wrap was lightly toasted and stuffed. Took home half. Others in our party had Caesar salad w/grilled chicken. Very generous portion. And, turkey burger so thick and juicy it required both hands to manage. Recommend Doc Watson’s for food and service.“
“Marko is such an amazing manager. Very efficient and accommodating! The Burrata on special was out of this world. The avocado adding the most perfect touch to the specialty appetizer. Julia is such an amazing bartender , in which she made me a mezcal favorite with vanilla additives. 10/10 recommend this place ?“
“Eagle is a rare thing in the concrete jungle of NYC. I rarely see it. ? Eagle ? rare is one of my favorite whiskeys I tried a few years ago and like it a lot. Also Johnny and Evan William. I have a new whiskey drinker palette ? but I'm specific about what I like. Much more to discover and I know this is a place I can taste American brands to like.Nice place. Spacious and aerated with just the proper light for a cozy ambiance.Friendly staff. Kaitlyn went above and beyond to provide great service. I tried an eagle ? rare old fashion. It was delicious.Ten years anniversary today and I want to congratulate you ?? on a decade milestone and wish you many more decades to come.,“
“We lucked into finding Jakes after a long day visiting the sites, and walking back to the 1 train to head back up town. The menu is seemingly one of only a hand full we saw in NYC that was remotely affordable food wise. The service we had was very good. I enjoyed the Steak Sandwich, and while I asked for it to be cooked medium it was medium well. Thankfully it was a perfect cut, seasoned well and tasted great as described on the menu. My wife had the Pear Salad without Pistachios (our son is allergic), the salad was a good size and I got to have about 1/2 of it. It was perfectly dressed, and the pear played delightfully off the balsamic very well. My Son had the burger and fries and he called it his new happiness burger. High marks from him as he is a picky eater. The only complaint was the cost of our drinks. 4 pours of Makers Mark on the rocks was over $50, which is nuts when you can buy a .750 for $24 in Baltimore (maybe not in NYC). At least they were fair pours. Next time we will probably skip the drinks (this was a theme of our NYC trip, I don't know why I kept getting alcohol). In summary, Jake's is great, and had good music playing.“
“Stopped in here quick for drinks and fast eats. Got the $10 special of a Bush Light and Shot. We also got 5 appetizers for $60 and it was totally worth it. We got 2 orders or chicken tenders, 1 order of fried pickles, 1 order of bread sticks, and 1 order of nachos.“
“Went with my twelve year old for a simple sit-down meal after traveling from Chicago. We were waited on quickly and were able to order, eat, have dessert & pay within an hour even though it was a busy Friday night. Mustang burger was better than most places. Fries with gravy & cheese were very good, as was the cheesecake. Servers were attentive and pleasant. Don't know who owns the place but as we were leaving a very busy man made sure to thank us for coming as we left our table. I'd go back“
“Have always enjoyed Wogies - great food and fun atmosphere. Leaving a review here because I was especially happy with the service during my last visit: David is a terrific bartender - very welcoming, hard working and positive. Glad one of my favorite spots in FiDi found him!“
“We really liked the variety on the menu — something for everyone! Our daughter ordered sushi, my husband got the creamy pesto pasta with chicken special and I enjoyed the ginger salmon with brown rice and steamed veggies. We finished with a delicious cheesecake and warm brownie, along with coffee. All was delicious!“
“It was a beautiful spring day as I was welcomed into the bar area which is fairly large. Many people were there due to st Patrick’s day. The bartender greeted me and I was fortunate enough to meet the owner through a buddy of mine. The beer was nice and cold and the people were friendly. Found a table outside with two young ladies and my bud. We shared frozen margaritas and then they put 90s hip hop and r&b.. my favorite. The sun was setting so we had to go. Highly recommend for a chill night out, will definitely try the food next time!“
“It's 2024 and this place is still a hit in my heart ❤️ ? ? I highly recommend coming to this beautiful establishment nestled in the heart of Spanish harlem on the east side. Come show some love to this Gem plus the best thing about this place besides the food, are the amazing people! It's such a vibe... love you ?“
“Mehmet, Cyrille, Deb, and Alok, are the best bartenders ever in the entire new work city. I can’t imagine how they thrive to a higher position considering their time accumulated and their consistent hospitality and immaculate communication to bar regulars. I would give them, and Tony and Primo 5 Michelin Stars if I could.Kid-friendliness: Def not kid friendly considering the crowd. The staff is amazing though. The parking is subject to NYC parking availability (call 311 at your discretion).“
“Plug Uglies was formerly Bar Coastal which I never stepped foot Into. I came here for some belated birthday drinks. When I got there it was not crowded at all. I ordered a Moscow Mule and I must say it was tasty. I ordered a sierra Nevada Hazy IPA next. The bartender was very nice. The space is great has plenty of seating. In the other part of the bar there is a shuffle board game. This is a great bar to come gather with friends for some food and drinks for sports game or just a weekend of fun. They have a few tvs here too. They supposedly have great wings here too with many different flavors. I did not get a chance to try them out though. Maybe next time.“
“Great bar. Unfortunately we went on Tuesday, which is the only day that live Jazz is not on. Butvthe atmosphere was still good. The food was excellent and the server was really friendly. Spoke to a guy who was at the bar, not sure if he was the owner or door security. He was very welcoming and friendly. This place would be amazing when music is being played. Wish we went there earlier in our stay instead if last night.“
“We came here a few times as they have great beers and the atmosphere and service are nice. It's a relaxed pub so if you're looking for a posh place this is not it. If you're looking for tasty pub food, big portions for a great price, this is definitely the one. Because of all of these, this has now become our go-to place for a chill evening.“
“Went with my brothers to catch up. We were sat right away. Food was really good but the nachos are just incredible. A huge plate that will fill you up easily if you’re not careful. And the sauce that comes with the Sliders was probably the best sauce I’ve ever had. It was some sort of chipotle sauce. A little pricey but I would go back, it’s a great sports atmosphere.“
“We had a great experience. The food was delicious, the staff was terrific, and the atmosphere was outstanding. If you are a Manchester United supporter in particular, or even a football fan in general, this is the best place to watch a match short of be there in person. I highly recommend paying a visit.“
“Tasty spot for a bite of food and lots of sports! Service was fast and friendly and my friend wolfed down the chicken sandwich before I could take a picture. It's a large space with lots of TVs, and I'm not sure how it's decided which TV shows what. No frills sliders were better with mustard, and for $16, the fries should have been included and the patty should have filled out the bun. I'd go back to watch some sports, and I can better judge the sound. It was pretty empty when we went.“
“Cash only! We read the reviews and prepared $100 cash before going. It was a lunch on a workday, so we only had 1 hour to go, eat, and get back. We arrived shortly after they opened for lunch. Not busy, but definitely more and more crowded as we were eating. Service was fast. Food was great. Many food shows had described their burger and chill bowl - all true. Only imperfection was the seats were tight, and there wasn’t too much space between tables. But honestly most small diners/bars in the city have similar arrangements to fit more people.“
“I give Buffalo Wings 7 points out of 10.I've been looking online for the best chicken wings in NY, and various articles mention Wogies. Okay, so I'll taste them. The wings were somehow strangely baked, something about them bothered me. The buffalo marinade, on the other hand, was very successful, I ordered "mild", I received "mild". As a side dish, there were traditional carrots and celery sticks.I consider the fibers on the celery to be a minus, the cook could have peeled the celery, this is done not only in Europe, but also in America.“
“WOW! I was positively blown away by my entire experience at Due West. From the warm welcome and immediate seating, to the attentive nature of the wait staff, to the flavorful and delicious food and beverages, to the ambience and vibe - I could go into detail on every single one of these themes and it just kept getting better and better and impressing me as the evening progressed. And actually - I will go into detail because it was just that amazing:1. The welcome: we arrived around 7pm absolutely starving and hoping we'd be able to eat as soon as possible. My friend and I were immediately seated (which was a relief because from what I've heard, this place has a line out the door of eager patrons vying to get in, so YOU KNOW that means its a hot ticket). We were sat at a beautiful corner table and after a brief moment, and as non-drinkers, we were recommended some mocktails that turned out to be just as tasty as they were beautiful - which many NYC spots do not offer, but thankfully that wasnt the case here. The recommendation was perfect and exactly what we were looking for2. THE FOOD: I cannot stress this enough. Everything tasted like Jesus himself put his blessing on it. We had the small plates of fish tacos and the crab dip. Both were absolutely fantastic, but the crab dip truly floored me. I would order a swimming pool size offering of that crab dip. It was THAT good! My friend had a buttery lobster roll that he inhaled, it was sooooo good. And I had the steak frites which was so tender and cooked to absolute perfection! I was actually sad when I finished it because I didn't want the meal to end. Then we had the warm, gooey, chocolately churro dessert. It was like a hug in your mouth, i don't know how else to describe that experience. We accompanied it with two mini chocolate shots and it was just heavenly. We were full in the best way!3. The service: As someone who travels all over and dines at all types of places, the service was something that truly stands out to me: attentive, friendly, engaging, and welcoming! We were carefully tended to, followed up on, water refilled, warm conversation, friendly recommendations, and service with a smile. It honestly felt like we were amongst family.4. The ambience: It was a busy dinner period and everyone seemed to be receiving the same caliber of service and enjoying a lovely night out. The music was faint enough so as not to interrupt your conversations, but loud-ish enough to give the place a truly fun buzz and feel. Paired with the warm lighting, it works for both a date night or a night amongst friends!By the time we were ready to leave, we were already making plans to return with a bigger group and we even explored their website to see whether they host events (they do!) and we discussed the possibility of reaching out to host one of our birthdays! I can't stress enough how wonderful this experience was. I encourage everyone to RUN, don't walk, to Due West!PS. We also found out that the owners of Due West are opening another restaurant in early March called Main Street Landing down in DUMBO, Brooklyn and WE CANNOT WAIT TO CHECK IT OUT! Whatever these folks are doing, its clear that they're experts and they care about the quality of products and services that they provide. THIS IS HOW YOU DO BUSINESS! Bravo!“
“If you find yourself in Penn Station and you have time before your train. This is the place to while away the minutes. The bartender is amazing. The drinks ticked all the boxes, and the atmosphere was fun. I asked for a pink bartenders whimsy and he delivered. It was perfection. So glad we found this place, and looking forward to stopping by again.“
“What an unexpected find in Rockefeller Center. The lunch was well worth the cost. Kate, Tia, and bartender Daniel were delightful conversation companions. Their Bloody Mary had a nice amount of heat. The Sauvignon Blanc was chrisp & flavorful. The Plough appetizer was a perfect lunch and had an amazing pate. The Mediterranean Tuna sandwich was an amazing combination of flavors & served with salty chrispy chips. We will return to Smith & Mills whenever we are in the city.“
“Our family of four went here after Christmas and really enjoyed a fun and festive 90 minutes with our own curling lane and heated dome. We were placed on the lane next to 42nd street, which had several people rooting us on and asking questions on the game as they waited for the bus. It was so much fun! The skyline view was beautiful, especially as it got dark. The food was good, the staff were attentive and respectful. They don't have bathrooms on-site, but they do provide a bathroom pass to use at the ice skating rink so you can enter through the exit.Plan ahead since it gets crowded at Bryant Park and may take a few minutes to walk there. There is a public bathroom nearby but the line is usually really long. Fantastic experience!! I highly recommend!! Thank you for creating such great memories for us!“
“Highly recommend their burgers. I got the Smoking Musket this time. The patty was very juicy. It goes very well with the texture of thick bacon. Love it! The pizza Margherita was also pretty good. I love the thin crust and the slightly sour tomato sauce.“
“McHales is within a stone’s throw of Time Square and a bunch of hotels, but somehow manages to retain a local feel. I say somehow, but this is because the founder, Paul, is a dead-set champion bloke, the rest of the staff are authentic and welcoming, the space is large enough to have some privacy and small enough to feel cosy, and sitting at the bar is a classic New York Irish treat (without the sticky beer-stained feel). I found it while I was there for PLUS NEW YORK (if you know, you know) and invited brokers to come and see me there. So, when in NYC, get yourself down there and sit back, relax, eat good food, say hi to Paul and the team and enjoy.“
“Very exciting find. Searched for restaurants near my hotel that served wings three different times and did not see this as a suggestion. While walking saw the sign and decided to investigate. Will definitely be back on future visits to new York. Next time I will try an entree... maybe. The appetizers were delicious and the make it yourself tray was great. I do not drink, but the drink specials were varied. Went during happy hour, so it was pretty packed but still comfortable. Wait staff friendly and attentive.“
“The staff are awesome, and the food is better than it has any right to be. Huge outdoor patio, and cavernous space on the inside. Also a great spot of private events.Overall, a great neighborhood dive, and one-of-a-kind in a Lenox Hill that is becoming more like midtown with each passing day. Thanks Liam and staff for always making it a special experience!“
“It was my first time eating (and not just drinking) here & it was so good. The bartender was attentive like he always is, I don't remember his name but he's the only one behind the on weekdays usually. It was lively & he told me about karaoke coming up. I think it's on Thursdays? Anyway super good food & sangrias were great!“
“What a fantastic experience we had at this Irish pub! Everything from the cozy atmosphere to the mouthwatering food was top-notch. We started with the Cobb salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and loaded with delicious toppings. The Texas burger was cooked to perfection, juicy and packed with flavor, while the nachos were piled high with all the good stuff – cheese, salsa, guacamole, you name it! And of course, you can't go wrong with a Guinness beer to wash it all down. But the real star of the show was the onion soup – rich, hearty, and oh-so-comforting. Each dish was a true delight, and we left with satisfied bellies and happy hearts. Five stars all around for this wonderful Irish pub!“
“I've been ordering delivery from this place for many moons, and it never fails to impress. Fast delivery, and outstanding food is the reason you should try this place out! Just about a month ago, I invited 3 of my friends, and we had the best time. Everyone loved it.“
“Amsterdam Ale House is about as standard of a sports bar as they come.Plenty of beers on tap, a wide variety of foods, and plenty of TVs for sports viewing. The service is solid, and the atmosphere is friendly. We would probably only give the food about a 3/5, but the drinks and sports-viewing experience is top-notch!“
“chicken empanadas to start were out of this world! lobster soup and steak were so tasty steak cooked to perfection! staff amazing, so friendly and welcoming especially when they found out we are from Scotland! chatted with lady behind bar, sorry cant remember your name who has visited Scotland many times! fab!“
