The iconic building always intrigued me and last night, I was lucky to find a table during peak dinner rush.I was guided to their newly rennovated 'Sidecar'. We sat upstairs and loved being able to look over 3rd avenue. The service was so attentive -- from being immediately greeted to the servers always offering to clear plates and offer new ones. “Went to a catered event there today. What a fun place! Very comfortable. Absolutely fantastic food!! Huge variety and really cool takes on comfort food. Deconstructed chicken and biscuits, brats in pretzel roll (pigs and a blanket) beautiful salad. I would come back for the food alone! And beautiful cocktails. Sampled espresso martini and cosmos. Both delicious not overly sweet perfectly balanced. Service was seamless. Everything seemed to appear exactly when you wanted it. I will definitely be going there again!!“
“This is a real Irish bar. Not in the sense of taped up paper leprechauns or a tinsel HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY banner, but rather campaign photos of John and Robert Kennedy, as well as other candidates for office going back more than 100 years. It's one of the oldest bars in New York City, and decorated with historical markers, play tickets, political posters and buttons, as well as a painting of a naked lady! Your choices for drinks are light ale or dark ale. They make good sandwiches, too.“

“I went here for the first time on Saturday at 1pm and it was, unexpectedly, one of the best bars I've been to so far in NYC! Rudy is the main contributing factor to my review; he was amazing! We ordered the Totchos (tater tot nachos) which were delicious and had drinks flowing. Nikki, another bartender, arrived before we left and she was also so wonderful. The vibes were amazing - a lot of 20 somethings there to watch sports games. We ended up staying way longer than intended and I'm planning to come back here frequently!“

Deacon Brodie's is small, dark, beautifully decorated, and employs the three best bartenders I have yet to encounter (particularly Chris). “My fiance and I had our engagement party at The Winslow, and it was absolutely wonderful! It was the perfect location in their back room, where we had enough space and privacy but still had the atmosphere of a fun bar. Our host/waiter was extremely attentive and had such a fun personality to add to our party. We pre-ordered some food for our party which everyone loved. “This bar has been in the neighborhood for ever! It's an Upper East side staple. It may not be a big bar but it always gets a crowd here. Great place to watch sports, hang with friends. They used to have a nice outdoor shed that was split into little seating private areas with tvs and outlets and all. They also have one or two small tables right outside of the place. This sports bar has some games in the back if the first floor. They also have a very nice party room upstairs with its own bar and seating area. All the bartenders that I have met from here are all very nice. I recommend coming here if in the area.“

“This might be one the best bar experiences I have had. The lighting was perfect amount, not too dark or bright. The music wasn't loud, perfect ambience. The service was quick and friendly. “A hidden gem in the wall street area. Beautiful old antique wooden bar brought in from Europe that is well maintained, polished, and stacked with any liquor you could think of. There is a sizable room with tables passed the bar that is perfect to enjoy their delicious dinner specialties -- something you would never expect from a bar. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star rating for the atmosphere is because I have tinnitis which makes it hard to hear conversations in loud gatherings. I was there on a Thursday and the bar was packed . Everyone was having a great time hence loud (but only at the bar area). If it is that packed on a Thursday, I presume that the "party" is constant every day it is open. It is Wall Street after all.“

“Cozy, dark (love a dark bar!), very reasonable Happy Hour prices. $9 house red, $4.50 one braised pork slider with smoked coleslaw (they let you buy ONE!). Just the right snack before hitting the subway home. Nice service. Was greeted by the manager as I walked in. Admittedly, he and a coworker were setting up the front picnic tables, but he still took a moment to smile and say hello. The little things matter. Although we had some privacy, we had to rely on the bartender to take our orders.Even though the bar was located below the speakeasy, it was just a regular bar with cocktails on the pricey side. I suggest getting the beer and food instead. The salmon burger, regular burger, grilled cheese, and shepherd's pies were all delicious.“

It may have been because I went at an off time sort of but very few people were there, bartender was super nice and beer selection was great. They have games through out the bar for us to play. “I've been to Keens before, and I always like it when I'm in Manhattan. The food is good, and the service is great too. I think the steaks could use a bit more seasoning, though. They do mention something about salt on the menu, and I even asked my server to season it well, but it still needed a bit more. But overall, it's a nice place to go.“
