“We returned on a visit to McLoughlins 38 years after it was the initial beacon on my arrival in the USA. From there I linked up with my friends , got a contact for a job , heard about accommodation going for rent and bumped into old friends. It created a network and a safety net for a whole generation of Irish immigrants. John is carrying on the traditional welcome provided by his father and uncle. He could not have been more helpful or kind as well as having that natural gift of the gab good barmen possess. Drinks were also fine“

“Donovan’s Pub is owned by 2 Woodside gentlemen. The staff is amazing friendly welcoming and knowledgeable. The food is absolutely delicious and great portions. They have the Best Burger in NYC. It’s the best burger I have ever had. They have awesome live music every weekend on their brand new stage. Their lineup of musicians is the best around. I’ve been going there for 50+ years and I highly recommend Donovan’s Pub in Woodside NY.“

“I had such a wonderful experience at Royale. First it has an awesome bar and restaurant indoors and the space outdoors is beautifully decorated. I have celiac disease and they had the most delicious gluten free nachos (made on site) ever! They were perfect. I was so happy I could have them and they were excellent! Great atmosphere and food!
