“We returned on a visit to McLoughlins 38 years after it was the initial beacon on my arrival in the USA. From there I linked up with my friends , got a contact for a job , heard about accommodation going for rent and bumped into old friends. It created a network and a safety net for a whole generation of Irish immigrants. John is carrying on the traditional welcome provided by his father and uncle. He could not have been more helpful or kind as well as having that natural gift of the gab good barmen possess. Drinks were also fine“

It’s the best burger I have ever had. They have awesome live music every weekend on their brand new stage. Their lineup of musicians is the best around. I’ve been going there for 50+ years and I highly recommend Donovan’s Pub in Woodside NY.“

Crispy yet soft?! Wasn’t expecting that. I asked for mayo but it didn’t really need it. Theirs is way better than Mama’s Too (super viral for their Philly cheese)). Fries?!—10/10. Their condiments—blue cheese and ranch that I tried—really good too 8.5/10. But my waitress is what makes me give 5 stars on everything. Please ask for Deena when you come in. She is so sweet, attentive, and anytime I asked for something she came back quickly attending to my needs. When I come back I too will be asking for Deena. As a Southerner that works for a NJ company, the 101 Pub represents everything great about the area - the local feel, the strong drinks, the vocal opinions about the sports teams. Not to be missed.“

“I have very fond memories here, it was like a little home from home for me while I was bi Atlantic for 6 years, working on the same block as the Pig There are lots of “Irish pubs” in the vicinity, although this is the only one that felt like a real pub in the UK rather than a novelty in New York Hopefully I will be back again one day! “I wasn't going to share this place with anyone because I don't want it to get crowded but I have to bc I love it so much. Presenting my new watering hole in Bergen! The location is where the old 21 used to be, on the top floor of the Son Jjajang building. Great happy hour everyday 4-8!! It's a steal considering how good the food is. Happy hour all types of soju are $8.99 and beers are cheap too. All the big dishes on the happy hour menu are between $14-$18 and I think the portion sizes are the same! I have yet to try something that I don't love on the menu. Their: Cheese buldak (fire chicken w/ mozzarella cheese.. ask for medium spicy if you can't do heat!) Jogae sujebi (Korean version of.. gnocchi? in clam broth..I always order another side of sujebi) Donkatsu (breaded & fried pork cutlet) Tofu & kimchi Ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes... I usually ask for cheese on this also lol) Tong dak (whole fried chicken) Gaeran mari (Korean cheese omlette w/ fried garlic on top) Budae jjigae (Korean army soup, goes great with soju!) and weirdly enough their giant plate of FRIES (idk what they do to those fries they're just fries but they're so good lol) are among some of my favorites. However, the food tends to be on the spicier side which isn't an issue for me, but if you can't handle too much spice be sure to tell your waiter. I can't say enough about how good the food is. The chef apparently refuses to use anything but the best ingredients and it shows in the taste of the food. Portions are big too! Obviously I eat here a lot... lol Oh and the servers and manager are all so nice!! One time we had a big party of 10 but they didn't have space so they put us in their only karaoke room in the back. We wanted to watch the US Open but we couldn't figure out the TV in the room so the manager found an HDMI cable and hooked his own cellphone up to it so we could watch. How sweet?!! At the moment they only serve soju and beer but I have been told that they will start offering liquor soon :) Like I said, I don't want this place to get crowded but they deserve the business with food and service like this. I hope they stick around and become a new staple in Pal Park! PS. The menu is entirely in Korean so bring a friend who is fluent or ask the waiters for suggestions! I will definitely have to mention to them that they should make an English version of their menu. Will be back with pictures later!“

“Best fries ever! The burgers use to be good... Idk if the changed management or workers but, definitely not the same as a year ago when I first came here. Vegetables are not fresh & not enough quantity. I had to ask for a good amount of veggies on my burger since the last time I went there all they gave me was a leaf of lettuce (the core!) & 3 strips of onions. Ps Spicy mayo sauce is good“
