“Really nice decor, if you’re in a group I’d recommend a reservation but walking in as 1-2 seems doable. Service can get backed up quickly so sometimes it takes awhile to order. But once they see you’re ready the waiter/waitress will make a point to get things moving for you. Food is excellent.“

“We went for Thanksgiving, not expecting much. Understanding they would be busy at 7pm, we decided to take our chances and walk in. Super friendly service. We got a welcome eggnog, brilliantly cooked 3 course price fix menu, great service. There were some hiccups (soup came out crazy fast, while the drinks took the normal time. A little odd) loved that they had a kobe steak as arn option, very moist turkey too. Pumpkin creme bruleee was tasty-not too "pumpkiny". They even have us a free champagne with dessert. Really worth it“

“Chef Papa was the perfect place for our wedding reception!

We can't say enough good things about Chef Papa and its incredible staff for hosting our wedding reception. Every guest left happy, and so did we.

**John** deserves special recognition. He spent so much time helping us plan, meeting with us a few times a week and answering every request quickly. He made sure every detail was handled, and he's a wonderfully creative problem solver who turned one of the most stressful parts of wedding planning into something smooth and enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a more thoughtful, more patient and more generous partner.

The whole staff was attentive and warm throughout the night. Chef Papa himself (John's dad!) even made us special appetizers that weren't on the menu, and the team even offered us complimentary fruit platters. They also let us stay 30 extra minutes so our guests could take photos, which meant so much to us.

And the food! Generous portions, a huge variety of appetizers, made-to-order entrées in big servings, and two kinds of dessert. Guests kept coming up to tell us it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. One said he never knew Vietnamese food could be so diverse, interesting and delicious. We were so proud to share it with everyone.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, with lovely natural, green, Vietnamese-inspired decor that made a perfect backdrop for our celebration.

Thank you, John, Chef Papa, and the entire team, for making our wedding day unforgettable. We highly recommend Chef Papa to anyone planning a wedding or special event!“

“😀I have known Manetta's Ristorante since 1990's and have been going there. Food is always excellent and the prices are good. The staff and servers are pleasant. Lisa is always friendly and accommodating --- greeted me and my hubby with a pleasant smile and also checked up to make sure that everything was fine during the course of our meal. Server, Jasmine waited on us a couple of times --- one of it was today, 2/9/2024. We were happy with her service and everything else. Our overall experience with Manetta's Ristorante is excellent. “I was craving some dumplings and I walked by Chairman Sun and saw their menu had just what I wanted!

The Pork Soup Dumplings were a 5/5. Full of flavor and the perfect texture. The soy sauce and flavor of the pork matched perfectly.

My Scallion Cucumber salad was a perfect flavor profile for me as a I love a garlic moment. The dressing was drinkable…and the cucumber cuts were hardy and a perfect fresh bite.

Lastly, the spring rolls, solid and great flavor.

“I got the Pork Cutlet with rice and black beans sauce (I added the egg, but didn't get it, my fault for not checking) and it was really good. The pork cutles is very crispy, tender and not dry. The sauce is also good, especially with the rice. The portion is also a good size, very filling. I also got the pineapple bun with butter, that was okay, nothing special. Would definitely come back and try some other items on the menu.“

“I've been here several times for dinner with my preschool-aged son and just went today for lunch. It's been a treat each time. I try a different side dish from their rotating menu on each visit, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Everything on their menu has been just the right savory, harmonious amount of flavor without being overly salty or overdone in any way. My son and I also love the fresh tofu. The staff has been very courteous, and everything is reasonably priced. I hope they stay around in LIC because there aren't very many restaurants like this that make things so comfortable in every way. I seldom dine out but I'd eat here anyday.“

“I would always walk past this place but never stepped in, I finally stopped by and was surprised to see how there was an inside area since I always saw people sitting outdoors and drinking. As someone just getting into IPAs, this spot is has some good selections.“

“We came here after being directed from another bar because our group was too big, and what a great intervention from the universe. We immediately got a standing table for our group of 10+ and our host Genevieve welcomed us so warmly and so attentively, especially for my husband celebrating his birthday. Probably about 20 mins later, a table opened up and she was able to get our group seated, and get extra chairs from outside wiped from the rain.

The cocktails were great, our group had a bunch of the Grey Garden (Earl Grey-infused gin-based drink) and our host recommended other yummy cocktails, they had a handful of tea-infused ones that tasted great.

We thought we’d just stay for a drink or two but ended up staying for four hours until 2am. Another table ended up buying us a round of shots back and forth with us! This bar was good vibes all around, with great drinks, a great bartender, and amazing host - shout out for our great time, Genevieve!“

“Came all the way from Texas to try Darjeeling! I'm a huge fan of momos and this place did NOT disappoint! We got the jhol chicken momos and crispy chili beef momos. Also got the darjeeling chai and it was so nice to finally have a good cup of chai. My brother got a beef noodle soup with egg which he loved. The staff, 2 guys and the aunty making all the food in the back, were so so kind! Exceptional service. They sell cute tshirts as well. I would definitely come back here if I was going to visit again.“

“My wife is a regular at the boba tea shop but this was our first time trying food from the rest of the H Mart food court. We got food from another store in the food court right next to goldmiss before getting handed this coupon Tuesday evening. We were heavily disappointed in the food we got from the ramen store, they took like half an hour for a topokki, ramen and some dumplings so we werent really expecting anything from here either and just came here to get something sweet. We bought the ice cream and my wife wanted a drink but the service and quality difference is just wow. There was only one person, but she took our order, the ice cream came within seconds and our lemonade was also ready in a minute. The service and food were so good we ended up getting a corndog to go, asked them how long it would take the front girl said not more than 10/15 minutes and it came exactly within 10 minutes. We came back on Thursday for a box of donuts and everything was delicious, def going to be one of our go-to spots from now on along with gongcha“

“A true 6 dollar meal it comes with rice, protein of choice, salad and fries. I usually get chicken over rice with extra pita bread. Comes out to 7 dollars, best food I can get. The drink comes included. However they did charge me for a drink once a few days ago. I’m not sure why I should have asked but I just assumed it was a change but the next day they didn’t charge me it? So I think I just lost a dollar at that point. 😔 but it doesn’t really ruin my experience of this place because other food area near by will charge me 3 dollars for an empanada or 10 dollars for fries. This place I can count on being fast and affordable and always good“
