“I was craving some dumplings and I walked by Chairman Sun and saw their menu had just what I wanted!

The Pork Soup Dumplings were a 5/5. Full of flavor and the perfect texture. The soy sauce and flavor of the pork matched perfectly.

My Scallion Cucumber salad was a perfect flavor profile for me as a I love a garlic moment. The dressing was drinkable…and the cucumber cuts were hardy and a perfect fresh bite.

Lastly, the spring rolls, solid and great flavor.

“Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had in a while.

Last night I ordered from Thai Tree through Seamless and an hour passed with no update. I called to check in and got pulled into a back-and-forth — turns out they’d been slammed with a large party and hadn’t seen my order come through on their end. The woman I spoke with was trying her best, but the wires were crossed. She said she’d call me back.

About thirty minutes later, a gentleman called, apologized sincerely, and gently asked if I’d be willing to cancel. I told him I couldn’t, not through Seamless (if you’ve ever tried to get a refund from them, you know exactly what I mean). He said, okay, let me see what I can do.
It was late. He asked if I still wanted the order. I said yes — I still wanted my order. And no, I couldn’t come pick it up — I was home, sick, and at that point the Uber to go get an $80 order would’ve run me another $20. He said he’d figure it out.
They made it. They delivered it. And it was, without exaggeration, some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had in my life.

I’m a business owner. I understand what a night like that looks like from the inside, and I know how easy it is for things to fall through the cracks. What matters is how you handle it — and they handled it. Five stars across the board. As soon as my schedule clears, I fully intend to come in and sit down for a proper dinner.“

“We went for Thanksgiving, not expecting much. Understanding they would be busy at 7pm, we decided to take our chances and walk in. Super friendly service. We got a welcome eggnog, brilliantly cooked 3 course price fix menu, great service. There were some hiccups (soup came out crazy fast, while the drinks took the normal time. A little odd) loved that they had a kobe steak as arn option, very moist turkey too. Pumpkin creme bruleee was tasty-not too "pumpkiny". They even have us a free champagne with dessert. “😀I have known Manetta's Ristorante since 1990's and have been going there. Food is always excellent and the prices are good. The staff and servers are pleasant. Lisa is always friendly and accommodating --- greeted me and my hubby with a pleasant smile and also checked up to make sure that everything was fine during the course of our meal. Server, Jasmine waited on us a couple of times --- one of it was today, 2/9/2024. We were happy with her service and everything else. Our overall experience with Manetta's Ristorante is excellent. I highly recommend.“

I try a different side dish from their rotating menu on each visit, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Everything on their menu has been just the right savory, harmonious amount of flavor without being overly salty or overdone in any way. My son and I also love the fresh tofu. The staff has been very courteous, and everything is reasonably priced. “We came here after being directed from another bar because our group was too big, and what a great intervention from the universe. We immediately got a standing table for our group of 10+ and our host Genevieve welcomed us so warmly and so attentively, especially for my husband celebrating his birthday. Probably about 20 mins later, a table opened up and she was able to get our group seated, and get extra chairs from outside wiped from the rain.

The cocktails were great, our group had a bunch of the Grey Garden (Earl Grey-infused gin-based drink) and our host recommended other yummy cocktails, they had a handful of tea-infused ones that tasted great.

We thought we’d just stay for a drink or two but ended up staying for four hours until 2am. Another table ended up buying us a round of shots back and forth with us! This bar was good vibes all around, with great drinks, a great bartender, and amazing host - shout out for our great time, Genevieve!“

Food
Perhaps the least expected, but the food here is actually great. The highlight of it all is the grilled chicken caesar salad, we have yet to find a better one in this neighborhood. The tacos and grilled cheese are also not bad, but maybe more your typical bar stock.

Service
The bartenders all have a kind of calm, amicable presence. In the three years I’ve lived nearby, I’ve never seen even a trace of impatience, even on busy nights. They’re always getting into conversations with the locals, and it gives the place a friendly vibe.

Ambiance
I think this place is underrated as a date spot. It’s not fancy, and sometimes some of the tables can be a bit sticky (hey, spills happen it’s fair). But the lighting is nice — a warm amber light fills the place, and I think it makes you look better. I always feel like I have good conversations with people here, and I can’t quite say why, but I think it’s the vibe. If you’re not looking for anything too fancy, and just want a down to earth place to meet up with someone, this is your spot.

“A true 6 dollar meal it comes with rice, protein of choice, salad and fries. I usually get chicken over rice with extra pita bread. Comes out to 7 dollars, best food I can get. The drink comes included. However they did charge me for a drink once a few days ago. I’m not sure why I should have asked but I just assumed it was a change but the next day they didn’t charge me it? So I think I just lost a dollar at that point. 😔 but it doesn’t really ruin my experience of this place because other food area near by will charge me 3 dollars for an empanada or 10 dollars for fries. This place I can count on being fast and affordable and always good“
