“My overall experience with this restaurant was very positive. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. I like that they have happy hour for drinks. Beer was like $4. They would work with you slightly to modify their dishes to accomplish your needs
They have seating outside and inside. They managed very well outside in a shady area and the booth and inside AC working well.“

“My boyfriend and I love omakase and this place hits the spot!
We’ve come here a few times and living nearby has become a problem for our wallets because we crave it all the time.
The fish here is super fresh, the omakase pieces are AMAZING, and the staff and sushi chefs are so nice. There have been many times we’ve gone to pricier places and talked about how this one is still one of our faves.
It’s upstairs in the food court, so it can be easy to miss if you aren’t looking, but I 1000% recommend checking it out.“

“I've been here several times for dinner with my preschool-aged son and just went today for lunch. It's been a treat each time. I try a different side dish from their rotating menu on each visit, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Everything on their menu has been just the right savory, harmonious amount of flavor without being overly salty or overdone in any way. My son and I also love the fresh tofu. The staff has been very courteous, and everything is reasonably priced. I hope they stay around in LIC because there aren't very many restaurants like this that make things so comfortable in every way. I seldom dine out but I'd eat here anyday.“

“I had a great time at Kaiyo. It has been a go to for me when I want sushi and am in Long Island City. The front of the restaurant is only the sushi counter, so it isn't noisy or distracting. It's a good place to sit and talk over a meal. The sushi is good and it is reasonably priced.“
