“The staff here are really friendly, accommodating, and give off such welcoming vibes. When I arrived around 6 PM on a Saturday, there was already a seat ready.
When my Omurice was served, the staff even asked if I wanted to take a video—such a thoughtful touch! Everything tasted really good and definitely satisfied my cravings.
I sat at the bar where I could see them preparing the food and the kitchen in the back, but surprisingly, I didn’t leave smelling like food—it didn’t stick to my hair or clothes at all, which made the experience even better.“

“The best ramen! Been coming for over four years. The poke bowls and all appetizers delicious as well. My only feedback is that the service is too quick (entrees always come out when you’re still eating appetizer). Will really miss this place when I move in a few weeks!“

“I got a rice tonkatsu curry dish here, which I expected to just be a plain dish but it was served with a variety of vegetables which really elevated the meal. The chicken and curry together had great flavor and the entire thing was quite filling.“

“Nice fusion place. The ramen is pretty decent and the teriyaki is good. Chicken wings are good and crunchy. They are pretty quick with orders whether you dine in or carry out. Fairly broad choices on the menu with lots of popular street food options and everything we've tried was at least pretty good or better. The boba tea here is also good and they let you select how much ice you want and what % of sweetness you like. All around solid place and I'm glad they're here.“

“Very nice restaurant.
We were very hungry when we arrived, and the food did not disappoint.
We shared some spicy tuna sushi as a starter.
I had rice with chicken, perfectly cooked and well seasoned.
My wife ordered a beef ramen with noodles and corn, which was also excellent.
The place is very popular. The décor is simple but very charming.
I highly recommend this place.“

“Our first time here (2 of us) for dinner before a Knicks game. I had zero pre-arrival idea of the model of service or seating. A pleasant surprise in and of itself. One of us chose the vegetarian ramen (non pork broth and zero meat (of course), the other is not veg and ordered the classic ramen. We added 1 bowl of rice to share. Everything was great... food, absolutely delicious. I/We will be back ... defenitely.“

Atmosphere great!
Cozy and comfortable
Not loud at all, they played from an anime which made the food taste that much better.
Not loud.
Does not disappoint.
Overall - Welcoming place to have a good meal with company. We both had ramen and when the weather is cold it was the best! amazing burst of flavor.“

“Today I visited Kohoku Ku Ramen and ordered takoyaki and EBI ramen.
The food was really delicious. The takoyaki was crispy on the outside and soft inside, with a rich and flavorful sauce. The EBI ramen had a strong shrimp aroma, and the broth was rich and tasty.
I wasn’t feeling well today and had a stuffy nose, but the hot soup with a slightly spicy kick really helped clear my head. It felt so comforting and refreshing.
Overall, a great experience—definitely a place I would come back to!“

“Very tasty ramen is the headliner at this new authentic and cozy bistro. Loads of typical appetizers, donburi and other Japanese specialties complete the menu, asking with a nice drink menu. We had the crispy gyoza, then sequed to the pork bone broth and chicken paitan taken. Both very well prepared and delicious. I'm happy we found Hanami, close to home and we're delighted to add them to our neighborhood choices!“

“So I used to work in a ramen shop a while back and have tried several of the popular and some now closed ramen shops in NYC (like Ippudo, Ivan, Totto, Andante, Minca, Ichiran). However, Karazishi Botan is top-tier, if not the best ramen in NYC. This local gem always hits, be it unique takes on Tonkotsu, Tsukemen, or Tokyo-style Shoyu. Broth, noodles, and toppings all executed excellently and with great attention to detail. Their giant karaage and yuzu asahi draft also worth mentioning! They even gave my wife and I a rose when we stopped in on Valentine’s Day. Usually like to gate keep places like these but highly recommend visiting !“

“Place is small and crowded but the staff is handling it well and very friendly. Ramen was delicious, I think the noodles itself were one of the best or even the best I had in life (and I ate hundreds of bowls already). Delicious rich broth, soft but crispy chashu, lots of flavors. Big portion. Definitely coming back to try more!“

“The food was fresh and served in a timely manner. I highly recommend their karaage chicken. I wasn’t a fan of the ramen bowl, but I was experimenting with new flavors. I also tired boba for the first time. It was weird and fun to try. The place was clean and pleasant, and the staff were friendly and helpful.“

“Kudu Ramen in the UES is a cozy restaurant when you’re craving a delicious bowl of ramen. I consider myself a ramen connoisseur and I can confirm that you will fully enjoy your meal. My mom accompanied me and she ordered the Sukiyaki Beef Don which was equally delicious. I ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen and we both had the Shrimp tempura. I’ve never had shrimp tempura the way they presented it. All
I have to say is, make this a must go to spot.“

“I have tried the other branch in LA and I like the NJ one better. The line here is much shorter and the food comes out really fast. The noodles are firm and chewy and the broth is rich and flavorful. The tsukemen was delicious and the chashu was tender with a nice smoky taste.“

“This place was very chill low key, I got a Spicy Pork Ramen and it was so good hands down ! On the walk in once you sit they give you tea which was very herbal and needed because it was Freezing outside and beforehand we did some running around so it immediately chilled the vibe! It wasn’t crowded and it felt very authentic to this place. Service was very accommodating and atmosphere was chill, it’s a smaller establishment so if there were more than 4 of us in a group it would be hard to sit same table, but nonetheless it wouldn’t have affected anything in my eyes.“

“We had such a cozy, satisfying meal at Ippudo V with the modern and warm vibe, perfect for a comforting ramen night. Loved their all-vegan selection, which is honestly refreshing to see done so thoughtfully.
We started with the Vrooklyn Gyoza, it was easily one of the best vegan gyozas I have had in a long time. They were incredibly flavorful with a subtle smoky depth.
For ramen, we tried Platon Tonkotsu, their take on the signature tonkotsu-style broth. It was unique, deeply flavorful, and felt like warmth served in a bowl. The tofu and fried enoki mushrooms added great texture, comforting, hearty, and just so yummy. We also tried the Dragon Tantan which had bold, rich, aromatic broth. Deeply satisfying and layered with flavor.
I was really excited to try the Orange Fruit Sandwich for dessert. The flavors were nice and refreshing, though the bread felt slightly dry. That said, it was easy to overlook considering how fabulous the savory dishes were.
The only area that could use some improvement is the service. It was quite slow and there’s definitely room to elevate the experience.
Overall, a fantastic vegan ramen spot I would happily return to.“

“This ramen spot is truly a hidden gem in Astoria. The quality of the ingredients is outstanding, and the food is packed with flavor—easily a 5/5. The service is consistently attentive and welcoming, and the atmosphere has a perfect balance between cozy and lively. It’s a fantastic place to enjoy dinner with friends or family. “Great little ramen joint. Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious.
Got there around 8pm on a Tuesday night. Put your name on the strip of paper on the wall. Got seated at the bar in about 20 minutes.
Tsukemen both was savory and rich and loaded with veggies and pork. The splash of vinegar was perfect. Noodles were pleasantly chewy. Highly recommend.“

“TLDR - fantastic food, service, and vibes.
Noodles are slightly less al dente which is perfect
Broth is not as greasy and felt clean yet savory.
Great music - not so loud but able to enjoy conversations“

“Not crowded for a Sunday lunch.
Shoyu ramen - thick sliced meat is not the most tender but okay.
Tonkotsu ramen - I like the thick pork broth.
Takoyaki - a little small, skin slightly too dry, but taste is there.
Prices and portions are reasonable for midtown.
Service is okay. Not the most attentive. Overall, an okay meal. The free flow happy hour looks intriguing.“
