“Dai Hachi Sushi in LIC perfectly balances top-tier culinary skill with genuine hospitality. The sushi is phenomenal—the fish is incredibly fresh, and the chef's precision is evident in every beautifully crafted roll and nigiri piece.
Beyond their undeniable competence, the staff’s warmth is what truly sets them apart. They are incredibly attentive, happily accommodate dietary needs, and make you feel entirely at home the moment you walk in. It’s rare to find a restaurant that pairs such flawless, high-quality sushi with such a caring, neighborhood vibe. Highly recommend!“

“Tamashii Blue is a reliable neighborhood gem with friendly staff and great service. The experience is quick and fast, offering consistent quality and reasonably priced food. I highly recommend paying in cash to take advantage of their additional discount. The pork chop in the Curry Katsu was well prepared — thin and crispy without being oily. While the side salad wasn't quite my preference and the tables are a bit close together, the overall atmosphere is very neat. It is a lovely local spot for a quality meal when you want to skip the cooking.“

“The food here is absolutely fantastic. The uni series is a must-order, and the washu katsu omurice completely blew me away — easily one of the best things I’ve had in a long time. The green tea cheesecake is delicious too. The staff are all lovely, and you can see why this place stays so busy. We’ll definitely be back, and I can’t wait for their winter special. Highly recommend!🤤“

“Ramen Misoya West Village is a cozy ramen spot specializing in rich, flavorful miso-based broths. The ramen is hearty and well-balanced, with deep umami flavors and satisfying textures. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. A great choice for a comforting bowl of ramen in NYC.“

“Definitely one of the best ramen broths I’ve had, and I try a lot. The broth is clean with crisp flavors. I ordered the Kara (which is the spicy) on the side. I decided to control the spice level on my own, the kick is good, but I didn’t want too much of it.
The grilled pork belly is a good side to add.
The space is packed, and cozy. The staff are friendly and very experienced.“

“Today I visited Kohoku Ku Ramen and ordered takoyaki and EBI ramen.
The food was really delicious. The takoyaki was crispy on the outside and soft inside, with a rich and flavorful sauce. The EBI ramen had a strong shrimp aroma, and the broth was rich and tasty.
I wasn’t feeling well today and had a stuffy nose, but the hot soup with a slightly spicy kick really helped clear my head. It felt so comforting and refreshing.
Overall, a great experience—definitely a place I would come back to!“

“Ended up here accidentally on a layover: Hands down, the best ramen I’ve ever had (springy, slurpy perfection), amazing cocktails (if you like gin the Japanese 75 is a must try!), and whatever the whipped cream, creme brûlée’d banana dessert was tasted like heaven. I even ordered another tonkotsu ramen to go (all the way to Florida) to bring back to my fiancé. They separated all of it, packaged it so it wouldn’t leak, and wrote directions on specific timing for heating up each item! Very impressive service. I’ll be back again!“

“My husband loves the spicy miso ramen here as well as the sesame mochi ice cream. I just ordered Gyudon today and added an extra egg. A very simple dish and tastes so good! Flavorful but not crazy salty! The beef was tender and the rice is of good quality!
We also had the black sesame cheesecake and some matcha pudding! Desserts are good and not sweet which I love!“

“I got the tonkatsu tsukemen and it was so good. The porky broth was perfect balance of garlic. It also came with bean sprouts, and egg, and 5 slices of pork. Great value. Also got the fried chicken and it was so soft and crispy with not a lot of batter. Service is great and everyone really cares here“

“Location was quick walk from our hotel and Susukino is authentic, it took me and my husband back to when we visited Japan this spring. I got the curry udon and my husband got the tonkatsu (pork katsu), both were amazing. We had suntory beer and dessert as well. I would not recommend the matcha cheesecake,my only disappointment, but regardless if I lived here I would be eating here often.“

“Went to this establishment this week. The customer service ( Sawyer - our Table Staff professional ) was out of this world. The food was tasty, professionally presented and Portion size was large with a price point that is never seen these days. Pricing is beyond reasonable. Classy, elegant, yet very comfortable!“

“While I usually am not a fan of Ramen, the Ramen that I had at this location made me rethink my tastes. The selection of Ramen was wide enough for me to feel lole there were options, and the customer service alongside it was great. Such kind workers who had so much patience with my groups slow commitment to a meal. Would recommend to anyone!“

“We came in a party of five - two adults and three kids. We ordered one tsukemen, two ramen (deluxe and miso), one kid’s meal, and one fried chicken (karaage with Korean spicy sauce). All were delicious and filling. Anime is playing from a projector on the wall, which kept my boys occupied and quiet 😉. Staff were polite to us and the kids. I hope this place gets more attention that it deserves! Here is one photo from my meal (deluxe tsukemen).“

“So I used to work in a ramen shop a while back and have tried several of the popular and some now closed ramen shops in NYC (like Ippudo, Ivan, Totto, Andante, Minca, Ichiran). However, Karazishi Botan is top-tier, if not the best ramen in NYC. This local gem always hits, be it unique takes on Tonkotsu, Tsukemen, or Tokyo-style Shoyu. Broth, noodles, and toppings all executed excellently and with great attention to detail. Their giant karaage and yuzu asahi draft also worth mentioning! They even gave my wife and I a rose when we stopped in on Valentine’s Day. Usually like to gate keep places like these but highly recommend visiting !“

“Hinomaru Ramen is one of the best ramen spots I've been to. We ordered the Hinomaru Ramen and the Uni Ramen, and both were outstanding. The Uni Ramen was incredibly creamy and rich without being too heavy. The broth is the real highlight—it has the best broth I've had, full of deep flavor and perfectly balanced. If you're looking for great ramen, this place is definitely worth a visit!“

“I got the basic Ramen and it was great! Next time I will add the extras. It was our first time so we didn’t know what to expect. Great texture and the broth was rich. Absolutely amazing! All I knew was that a friend said it was one of the most authentic places he has been to and he recommended that I try it while in New York! Not disappointed at all!!“

“Truly some of the best ramen I have ever had! The host who was our waiter, can’t remember their name was such an amazing person. It got busy and they did an excellent job of managing those eating, those who airing for a seat and the delivery options. The place is still new so can’t wait for it to become a neighborhood staple, it has the right menu, atmosphere, and staff.“
“Service is amazing. Comfortable seating and they always try to accommodate me despite big groups. SO amazingly kid friendly they even have a kid set and HH after the kids get off school. My kids love the toyo buns and the ramen. Go tonkotsu black for good broth. AND their smoothies and juices are made with fresh fruit!“

“We went in after 11PM on a Friday night. We were greeted with a mild, pleasant tea. We had the vegetable dumplings and vegetable ramen (confirmed with server that broth is vegetarian as it was not specified on menu). It was very satisfying and we were unable to finish the ramen between two people. The noodles were nice and slightly chewy—not at all soggy.
Heads up—they had a sign they are closed on Mondays but it is not reflected in this listing as of today. We went there on Monday and were disappointed that the restaurant was closed as it was quite cold and drizzly and there wasn’t much open in the area so we had to walk quite a ways to find other food.“
