“We walked in and it was pretty vacant however, it was lunch time on a Monday so that wasn't much of a surprise. It had a large selection of noodles, if you walk in and see the wall you'll see all the various options and then some. It was a little ambiguous until we saw the kiosk. The food however, was amazing. We got the beef and the duck duck noodles. You do have to make your own noodles and the instructions are on the tray on how to do it. Would definitely try again!“

“This is definitely an out of the ordinary ramen restaurant. To start with, you have a remote hostess ? then you are encouraged to order and pre-pay your food from your table. Fortunately, the restaurant was not full and the waiter had the consideration to take our order ?
The food was good ? I ordered a black mountain ramen, which had an earthy pleasant taste. We also ordered edamame, and gyozas ? everything was good
The ambience was spacious and nice and the service was also good ?“

“Best ramen I’ve ever had! The spicy Uni ramen is so unique and full of flavor. It was recommended by one of my favorite employees. The chicken ramen is also amazing. Ive been a regular here for two years and still haven’t found a better spot! The service is always great! 10/10 all around.“

“My plus one and I really enjoyed our time here. We had just gotten home from vacation and were in a mood for Ramen and this place did not disappoint.
Let me just say that this place has such a traditional Japanese vibe to it…the staff is warm and welcoming and the food was spectacular.
We had the ramen, both original and spicy and it was very delicious. We also had two Asahi beers and called it a day.
Overall, I will come back to this place more often.“

“I visited this restaurant today! It was a solo date, so I only ordered one thing, the champon ramen, which was like a seafood ramen. I must say that I really liked the broth, so flavorful and tasty ramen. My waitresses were absolutely courteous and professional. The place is clean with great music in the background, which is an absolute plus for me when I go out to eat by myself. I can’t wait to go back there with some friends. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a ramen spot in forest hill area, go here instead of KYURAMEN. Lastly, great portion and affordable!“

“It was a wonderful experience , considering it is my first time. We had to wait a few minutes to get our table for 4 but that’s okay! The employees were super nice and went out of their way to pull and extra table for us. I loved the authentic atmosphere. The lighting, decor, and the overall feeling of the restaurant was great! And amazing food. My family loved what we ordered and the matcha cheesecake for dessert was so good! Compliments to the chef! I could definitely see myself coming back here again, whether alone or with family or friends. Well done, Nippon Cha!“

“Literally the best ramen I’ve had in my entire life. I added the chili oil and highly recommend for another depth of flavor. Need to come back to try their appetizers but if the ramen is any indication, everything is amazing.“

“This place is a gem, The Tonkotsu Ramen with Pork belly holds its own against the fancy overpriced places in Manhattan. I have had it many times and the pork is simply delicious, and the soup is rich and has a complex flavor. All for under $ 15- The interior is nice but nothing fancy. Excellent quick service too.“

“❤️ Overview:
I woke up and was really craving omurice, and my husband found this place that was too far from us. We’ve been to another location in Manhattan, but this location has the honeycomb seating. Which visually looks super cool! I wonder how the servers feel about going up and down the stairs with food. Hahaha. Overall, the food was good! Definitely fixed my omurice craving. I brought leftovers home and had it with ketchup the next day and it made it exactly what I wanted!
❤️What was ordered:
FOOD: honey comb appetizers and omurice tonkatsu combo
DRINKS: moshi yuzu sparking drink
❤️Stand outs:
The tonkatsu was surprising really tasty!
❤️Would I come back/recommend:
Yes - I would come back
Yes - I would recommend“

“It's a small japanese restaurant but it's comfortable when you dine in.
We pass by many times but didn't go. It used to be another japanese restaurant that have Japanese servers many years ago. We decided to dine in because we didn't have an idea what to eat. Surprisingly it's good.
It's a ramen restaurant. Matcha ramen, Hojicha ramen, shoyu ramen etc. I ordered tsukemen because I never had it before. I like it (I have never had it at other ramen place, so I don't have a preference to compare). Not salty. I also like Ika and the Azuki Matcha espresso.
It's good place to dine.“

“I've been going to this place for months now (maybe a year) and there was something concerning for the 2 times that I went the 1st moment happened when I found a hair in my soup but coincidentally I had a haircut before hand so maybe it was my hair so I brushed it off. But the second time and this was recent 2 days ago Sunday on 01/14/2024 I was order 266 or 226 I ordered a Tonkatsu ramen and as I was nearing the end of me finishing I happen to find a hair once more. I didn't want to say anything. I didn't want to get reimbursed because normally, this never happens. So I'm just giving a heads up to be more careful serving the food. I wish I had taken a photo of it but I did happen to find a hair in my soup. Just be more careful“

“My experience in this cafe was great as the staff members greeted me kindly, it made me feel like I was actually welcomed into this space. The staff members were also smiling the whole time. As for the Hong Kong Styled Egg waffle, it was great, I enjoyed the crispiness, yet fluffiness of it and it pairs well with whip cream and chocolate.“

“I had Ramen here I can't recall the name of it it was the 1st 1 on the menu I had the one with the pork belly. When I say phenomenal, I mean it! The taste was amazing in this soup Just wish the noodles weren't so tangled made it a little hard to eat. Very quite relaxing location. If you like a quite lunch with great Ramen definitely stop in here. I really can't express enough how good the soup was....“

“Ramen jin is a quaint little ramen shop close to Queens college and the fresh meadows shopping mall.
The selections are listed on a blackboard with prices so it's easy to order. I've had most of everything in the store and have even made some creations with the owner. Chicken curry for one, add the chicken karage with their veggie curry and you can't go wrong perfect brunch dish.
The appetizers such as the takoyaki and chicken karage are my favorite
The ramen is where they excel, you have the option of regular or spicy on the tonkatsu and miso ramen. Unlimited toppings in my opinion as long as you are ok with the additional charge.. I always opt for a second egg and extra woodear mushrooms.. the ajitsuki tamago (ramen eggs) they make are amazing. The broth on the ramen is flavorful on its own but adding the spicyness takes it to another level.
The dessert options they have are limited but for good reason.
The matcha waffle pictured is enough on its own.
The mochi platter with the added bonus that the owner accommodated my strawberry allergy with the removal of the strawberry mochi was cool and very much appreciated.
The drinks they have on hand are a selection of classic Japanese soft drinks such as ramune! Who can't love ramune!
Also Japanese green tea and your normal drinks such as coke and Sprite.
Ramen jin is generous in its portions and the ambiance and customer service are awesome.
Just look at the Disney Lego castle on display and naruto wall art.
Definitely recommend!“

“It's good eats here every time! We have dined here over the last few years and always enjoyed our meals. We have tried their appetizers (def get the fried king oyster mushrooms!), noodles (my fav is the hor fun with egg gravy, off the menu now but still available to order), fried rice is another one of our favorites, their dessert bubur chacha when available is a must! Besides the yummy food, service is kind and attentive, it def stands out for me. Last but not the least, the restaurant feels cozy and is incredibly clean!“

“I very much enjoyed the food here.
Although I felt there could have been a better location for this establishment the chicken fried rice and the mango smoothie was delicious
The lady also put a cup filled with miso soup and mini tofu for me ✌️
I would recommend getting takeout because the location is under train tracks and it tends to be a bit loud ?“

“Overall a nearly excellent burger in the Shake Shack style can be had here! There's about 20 different styles of burgers with creative combinations. We had the O'dada and double whammy burgers. Both were overall very good with fresh, high quality ingredients and an excellent brioche style roll. The main problem we had was the burgers were a bit too greasy and excessively juicy which kept us from giving a 5 star rating.. It was difficult eating these burgers without making a mess and the fatty juices were flowing out like a fountain. Despite this these are still probably the best burgers in Queens due to high quality ingredients and being very tasty. The service was quick and friendly! Recommended if you're in the area and you're craving a Shake Shack style burger.“

“Went on a first date here. A best kept secret by my partner. I see why. The spice levels are ON POINT! I’ve never had a dish I don’t love. Especially the chef specials. The staff is warm and sweet and the food is prepared with love and in a timely fashion.“

“Very nice restaurant with kind people. We don’t speak korean - but it went just fine with their guidance. The portions are generous and really excellent in quality. Fresh and high quality, and the prices are very good. I will definitely come back again. As noted by others, it’s no longer called Nawabari. Has a Korean sign. Even if you don’t speak Korean, no worries. They are very welcoming and nice! Worth the trip.“

“A 5-star omakase meal that rivals fish in top Manhattan omakase spots in an unassuming restaurant in Astoria.
Chef Alex puts so much care and takes such pride in his craft. I love tasting the fish and what accentuates it; I don’t need bells and whistles and Chef Alex creates wonderful flavors that truly highlight the unique taste and texture of the fish.
The ambience is much to be desired, but the omakase speaks for itself- and at a very fair price point that I would go so far as to call a deal. What a gem.“

“Very nice sushi place, with a lot of vegetarian options. I visited this place for dinner on a weekday. They have a lot of outdoor seating. We ordered tofu fried rice, avocado peanut sushi, veggie noodles. We loved their avocado peanut sushi. Veggie noodles was a good balance of all the spices. Tofu fried rice was too bland for my taste.Their happy hour menu was great, loved the house sake“

“Like the agedashi tofu and the seafood pancake. The restaurant closes at 11pm, so I don't know why one of the reviews stated they were rushed to order and eat when they arrived at 9.28pm. Lots of bogus reviews. Anyways, this is a pretty good ramen shop.“

“So, I have been trying to try the famous Modoo halal ramen since last ramadan, as always, it was a 30 min wait, understandable they're very busy. We get seated and order our food. There were only two servers for the whole restaurant. We had to keep asking for napkins. Our water was never refilled, and the server forgot the order of the table next to us. The food was incredible, however, which made up for the experience, but seeing as the service was struggling, I was not impressed.“

“Chakra was great for a super late sushi delivery craving. The Kani salad was a little meh, but the dumplings and rolls I ordered were all yummy. A little pricey, but as one would expect with the apps and their up charges. The Kurama Roll was my favorite! I'd definitely give them another try.“

“There are certain things I don’t overlook . I can’t cook where I live for me and my 4 year old son so most times I buy food out . I ordered vegetable fried rice and wings and let me tell you I was surprised you gave us enough rice. It was much that it remained like wow . Other places are not like this . Thanks so much i truly appreciate that for 10$ and the food was tasty and fresh ? ?“

“Local ramen spot in Astoria, this is the spot. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. The food was overall great, with the ramen broth being less salty than I remember last which was a nice touch. Definitely go for the classic for those who enjoy pork, the katsu was so soft and fluffy. The karage was crispy and juicy and the tako was as expected. Will be back to try other items soon!“
