“This spot is a neighborhood GEM. I hope the people living here know this. Best Sushi and sashimi for miles around. Solid everytime. The fish is kept well and served well. The whole family works here and they are so nice and friendly. The dad who is the sushi chef has one of the fastest hands around. He just cranks the orders out like butter. The store has about 6 tables but they are never packed. But while I dine in the takeout orders are endless. This man can handle it all and still can chat with you.I wish I lived nearby.... “This is a cute little japanese ramen restaurant near Manhasset LIRR station!

I got the spicy miso ramen and the tatsuta-age. The ramen was surprisingly not heavy at all and was on the blander side but I actually liked that a lot. The tatsuta-age was super crispy and tender! The sauce was really unique in a good way. The portions are also HUGE!“

“I would like to commemorate Takkii Ramen for not only serving cc car fud, but for their service as well. I’ve had the opportunity to dine in multiple times. Consequently, I’ve had the privilege of trying out multiple of their dishes.

To start off, I usually come in around 4PM on my off time and there are plenty of seats available. That said, I cannot attest for how the service or fud is during more bustling hours. When you sit down, the waiter brings these jars of cold water. Extremely refreshing during a hot summer day.

When I first arrived, I had the Shrimp Tempura Ramen. The tempura was perfect and crunchy, but I didn’t think the actual ramen was anything special. The marinated egg was runny, the bamboo shoots were the good type of sour, and the ramen was easily gripped by the chopsticks. My second time here I ordered the Spicy Tantan Ramen and the Karaage Calamari. The ramen lived up to its name, the tantan was flavorful, the bok choy soaked up the broth extremely well, the bean sprouts were delicious as well. The Karaage Calamari earned my favorite appetizer award. The sauce that came with it helped the flavor.

My third time here I went for the Sukiyaki Beef Udon, which was by far my favorite on the list. The broth was umami and rich, the udon was chewy, the beef wasn’t dry, and the bok choy and bean sprouts once again soaked up the broth. I’m typically neutral to umami foods, but this dish made me question my standing. My fourth time here I went for the Seafood Udon, which consisted of mussels, shrimp, saffron, mushroom, bean sprouts, scallions, bok choy, and even some chili. The chili was a very nice touch and I enjoyed the mushrooms very cc car much.

I also got takeout from this restaurant which was Takoyaki and the Tonkatsu Curry Ramen. I did not take photos because I wouldn’t have done it justice. The Takoyaki was delicious and hot, I suggest waiting for it to cool down before digging in. The Tonkatsu Curry Ramen was good and the Tonkatsu was crispy.

I would also like to shoutout my waitress for refilling my water without me asking, I’m a chugger and a bit socially awkward so I have a hard time asking for stuff so this was greatly appreciated.

They also sell merch—imagine my surprise when I saw vocaloid merch hung up at the back—$25 for each.

“Have heard incredible things about this spot. Parked around the corner on the street before stepping into this quaint restaurant where we were seated right away for lunch. You can put your order in online or just order with the waitress who brought us iced water. For our starter we ordered the Ika which is a whole squid. It was absolutely delicious at an incredible price point. For our mains we ordered the classic ramen as well the gyokai tsukemen. You can never go wrong with the classic ramen. The broth was so rich. Was so surprised to find that dipping noodles were served here. Was feeling the fish based one. Could have ordered even more servings of the jammy egg that was done just right. Did not have any room for dessert but will be back to try the sweet potato cheesecake. Every other table around us ordered a sweet drink from the fruit teas to the sodas. Our waitress was very nice and made it easy to close out.“

“My favorite ramen in the area! Something about their broth is much tastier and flavorful than the other ramen places I've had in the area. Visited twice already and ordered delivery and the ramen consistently good. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the bubble tea. I got the matcha milk tea and it didnt taste good. The pearls were very bland and too hard for my liking. Always get bubble tea at a designated bubble tea place 😆“

“The restaurant is on the back of a Japanese supermarket. It's simple, convenient and delicious. Most people order to go, some stay.
Highly recommend the gyosas and beef udon. If you don't feel like a broth, then try the tonkatsu bento box.
The staff is always polite and accommodating to my kids needs.

“My sister and I went to the Regal Movie which is across the from Ni Ramen. We gad the Duck Lychee Curry which was very tender. We also had the Kha Soi which wss very flavorful. We enjoyed the Melon soda. We will be back. Staff very professional.“

“It was a wonderful experience , considering it is my first time. We had to wait a few minutes to get our table for 4 but that’s okay! The employees were super nice and went out of their way to pull and extra table for us. I loved the authentic atmosphere. The lighting, decor, and the overall feeling of the restaurant was great! And amazing food. My family loved what we ordered and the matcha cheesecake for dessert was so good! Compliments to the chef! “There are many ramen shops nowadays but I would say Yayoi goes above the average for the following reasons: (1) the quality of the food was very good because their volume is high, (2) the menu is diverse but not too large, it includes savory non-ramen items like japanese curry or bento boxes, and you can also build your own ramen, and (3) the vibe is friendly, locally run, and the type of place one would gatekeep because it's tucked in by a strip of stores and otherwise overshadowed by a rotating sushi restaurant down the block. Would highly recommend trying it and will plan to return.“

“Love this place! The spicy beef ramen is my favorite, and the chicken katsu curry set and boneless Sriracha Thai chili chicken are really good too. Love the atmosphere—it’s a nice spot to relax and enjoy some good food. There can be a bit of a wait during the weekend rush, so plan for that, but it’s worth it. Definitely coming back!“
