“When I heard about @gahmnyc, I knew I must go and try. GAHM in Korean means "feeling" or "sense". Celebrity chef Esther Choi opened this restaurant in Brooklyn, featuring unique interpretations of traditional Korean dishes. Gahm by Mokbar offers a distinctive dining experience for those seeking authentic Korean cuisine. Everything was delicious. No struggle trying to think what to order because everything was tasty. The restaurant offers excellent service, with friendly and attentive staff providing great recommendations. The food is prepared with care and comes out quickly, featuring bold and comforting Korean flavors. The ambiance and service make it a fantastic spot for a night out with friends or a date. Remember to reserve ahead of time.

“The food served at Tonchin Brooklyn is excellent and I appreciate the attention to detail from the food on the table to the atmosphere of the restaurant.

We got:
•smoked dashi ramen (phenomenally well-crafted broth, tobiko topping was fun, smoked fish oil was such a nice touch), appreciate the detail of nori sheet not submerged in the broth so it won't get soggy)
•+ original dashi salad (holy smokes the dressing and the flavors were really really tasty, I would definitely get this again)
•pizza ramen (was looking forward to trying this the most and it did not disappoint, savory notes, crispy guanciale was a nice touch)

Service was pleasant - they were attentive to refilling our water glasses. I was the first customer to use one of the restroom stalls and they even folded the toilet paper roll.

I would love to come back again and highly recommend anyone to try out the menu items I mentioned! The pizza ramen is a sleeper hit - give it a try!!“

“We’ve been coming to Wanpaku for years (our my kid is obsessed with their ramen and asks for it weekly). The restaurant is super clean and cozy (and kid friendly with a great happy hour). We always have the best service - accommodating, polite and friendly. Tonight we ordered delivery and there was a small error on our order (first time we’ve dealt with a mistake from them in all the times we’ve been). When I called, they immediately remedied the situation and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. This kind of customer service will keep me and my family coming back to Wanpaku again and again. “This ramen shop is a gem to the Greenpoint community. I am on my second visit, and have not been disappointed with the quality of the food. The chicken broth which is difficult to make has been carefully cooked, the noodles are not over cooked, and the combined ingredients to my Chicken pai tan ramen was enjoyable.

I do wish I had one more piece of chicken breast meat in my ramen because it was cooked perfectly. Yet another ingredient that is difficult to cook if not carefully monitored. Trust me I made alot of rubber chicken meals and still do.

“tanoshii is a great little ramen spot in the heart of 5th ave.

stopped here to get a quick dinner and ended up grabbing a veggie Miso ramen and beef gyoza.

the food was really good! the atmosphere and presentation of this place is very asian and i like that vibe when deciding to eat ramen. the service is also excellent, our waitress was very attentive to our table.

the gyoza came out first and i think it was the better part of the meal. the dumplings were fried to almost perfection and the filling of meats and veggies inside was perfect.

i scarfed them down without a thought.

the ramen was also really good, but ny only issue was the triangles in the ramen were empty. seemed strange as i thought there should have been tofu inside, but the rest of the soup was good.

my ramen bowl came with bok choi, noodles, the triangles, abd a few other random veggies.

would come back and maybe try something spicier“

“Ajimi Ramen quickly became my go-to spot for ramen in Brooklyn. The chef, who is Japanese, has created a welcoming and inviting space that feels authentic and cozy. The standout for me was the Ajimi ramen’s chicken broth—rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The noodles were perfectly al dente, with a great chew that added to the overall experience. The soft-boiled egg was another highlight, cooked to perfection.

The only slight letdown was the cha siu, which I found to be just okay; I wish it had been more tender and fatty. However, the overall experience more than made up for it, especially with the super affordable prices. The waiter was incredibly nice and welcoming, adding to the positive atmosphere.

A unique perk is that if you spend $200, you can use the pool table upstairs for free, which adds a fun element to the visit. I’ll definitely be back to Ajimi Ramen—it’s a gem in Brooklyn, offering great food at a great price.“

“Otani Sushi is a quaint sushi joint located on Fort Hamilton Parkway. There is not a lot of seating and there is no real table service, just order and sit down. I got the salmon lover set, which includes 9 pieces of salmon sashimi, 6 pieces of salmon sushi, and one spicy salmon roll, all for $23. That is an amazing deal in my opinion! I thoroughly enjoyed the sushi and every single piece of salmon that I received was absolutely divine. It was soft, fatty, and well marbled. It was super fresh which I appreciated. I also ordered the Miso Ramen. The pork belly of the miso ramen was super tender and yummy. but the broth of the miso ramen was not as flavorful in my opinion. The noodles also lacked a certain chew, which is what I personally prefer in my ramen. I would come back for the sushi but not the ramen. Overall it's a pretty solid unassuming sushi spot, and I would come back for takeout if I was in the area!“

We enjoyed your proper Korean BBQ. The kalbi was FAB. I ate my heart out wrapping it in the beautiful lettuce and jigae. Spicy fried chicken, I woke up the next morning thinking about it! Seafood pancake, well fried and filled with seafood and green onions... adored! Perfect white rice, it was so hard to only have one bite of it... wanted to save room for the rest. Great service and great tunes. We found ourselves bopping/dancing in our chairs while eatting. Thank you for a wonderful Korean meal . I'm a fan!“

“Simply the best bowl of ramen I've had in Brooklyn. The broth is a really solid tonkotsu, great flavor, solid texture and weight. The noodles weren't the best but still very good for how fine they are, the mushrooms were such an unexpectedly good addition to the bowl and really balanced in a superb way with the broth and other elements, and both the egg and chashu were fantastic quality. The pork was a fantastic texture, an impossibly clean cut, was incredible soaked in the broth, and the eggs were the best cooked eggs I've ever had in a bowl of ramen. They were simply velvety in texture and just the right amount of sweet in balance with the salt of all the pork in the bowl.

Be sure to get the Echigo lager if you're having a tonkotsu, it paired so well with the salty broth. Will absolutely be returning.“

“The tsukemen i thought was delicious, the thick creamy broth coated the noodles and ingredients so well, it was a delicious broth with some good noodles, the karaage was hot and juicy but could use some work, at least a lemon wedge would have elevated it, but friendly staff a little slow but nothing that stood out to call them out on. Would definitely return for a bowl.“
