“Came here to say: 10/10.

Was looking for a place that was warm and cozy since it was pouring rain outside. Didn’t disappoint.

Everyone was so welcoming, service was amazing, and the food was delicious. The menus have vinyls inside! (from what they’ve told me, the owner of this place is a vinyl collector).

“The only all vegan ramen restaurant I know and it’s a franchise of the famous Japanese ramen restaurant Ippudo. All of the their ramen are rich and flavorful. They also have sushi and sandwiches, appetizers besides ramen which are also great. My non-vegan family and friends love it too.“

“I love this place so much, the ramen is great but I love the breadth of other types of appetizers and mains they have. The katsu don, the karaage curry, the croquettes, they’re all very solid and I love how they’re open fairly late. My neighborhood spot!“

“Sok. Nothing remarkable but it passes the bar. The unagi don (eel dish) was more or less. But it lacked the grilled, caramelized taste of good unagi don (eel that’s been caramelized and crisped with a flamer, they skipped this step). The sushi was good, decent, but not wow. Kinda generic and expensive for what it is. No sushi roll specials. It feels like it’s trying to be “everything to everybody,” and a lil bit misses the mark for this. Service was immaculate though, very fast and friendly, hence why I am being generous with the stars (4 stars not 3)“

“So i jut went here yesterday for lunch and around 12ish( i have no pictures of the actual ramen because it didnt survive long once it hit my table😂)The place was bone dry and empty. Just the way my socially awkward self likes it. Now it being empty on a random Wednesday afternoon shouldn’t deter you from going. Id actually ordered from them several times and was just recently influenced to go there and try the ramen hot and fresh out the pot. Was it that much different? Not really. Same salty umami broth so i have no complaints there. One thing I didn’t know was they serve beer, sake and they had several Soju flavors. I had a strawberry mimosa from my lil champagne flute and sipped some spicy tonkotsu broth. I was in heaven. The place is absolutely gorgeous for the girls that like aesthetic photos. Oh i also had the wings which came with a sweet chili sauce. It was pretty good. Even tho I’m more of a flats girl, they gave me quite a bit of drums so i almost didn’t eat them but from the one flat they did happen to throw in there i was intrigued. The wings were well seasoned. The waitress seemed soft and very sweet. She was attentive and really welcoming to my party of 1. Go, get the spicy Tonkotsu and some soju“

“Experiencing a classic tonkotsu ramen was very satisfying. We came in and wanted to be seated at the booth, and it was nice that the partition wall that divides each booth can be folded up if you want to sit with your party. The ramen itself was amazing, although the quality of the chashu differed with each piece. Broth was rich and addictive and would totally eat here again for the ramen itself. We also enjoyed the matcha pudding, which was a cute little dessert for us to share but I honestly wouldn't get it again. The matcha flavor wasn't particularly strong and although it wasn't sweet (which is how I prefer it) I just wouldn't get it again. 10/10 would go back if I was in the area again.“

“Absolutely loved this place. The tonkotsu broth was rich, creamy and full of flavor, the chashu was super tender, and the ramen egg was perfect. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were great. “I went to this place with my family for my birthday. It is a very cute little place and I loved the food here. It is very close to Brooklyn Tabernacle so we walked from the church after secure for a late lunch. Everyone was hungry and the food was delicious. We ordered some appetizers shrimp shumai and pork gyoza. We had three ramens, one unagi don and one pork katsu curry. All the dishes were amazing. The service was excellent as well.“

“First let me say the place is very cute. Would definitely make a good date location. The atmosphere is 10/10.

They have a lunch special for $18 that nets you a bowl of ramen and dumplings, which I got. The dumplings are very tasty and the ramen followed very close behind. I got a pork ramen and the broth was a nice golden broth, very light and tasty. The pork itself was absolutely delicious, it was soft and tender and melted in my mouth. I do wish you got a whole egg instead of a half, but I appreciate that the eggs are truly marinated (and delicious)

Service was also very fast and friendly. I was able to go on my lunch break without rushing. I appreciate the roasted garlic and sriracha left at the table for you to use as you please. Overall would recommend!“

“Absolute favorite spot in Williamsburg! My girlfriend and I have been here three times now, and we are completely hooked. As a meat eater, I have to get the Dancing Dragon Roll with shrimp tempura every single time—it is extremely delicious and an absolute must-try.

​It is also the perfect spot if you are dining with a vegetarian. She doesn't eat meat, and they have excellent options for her, like delicious vegetarian ramen, flavorful curry, and age tofu, alongside great veggie sushi rolls.

​The atmosphere is absolutely lovely—quiet, intimate, and never too loud, making it perfect for a date night.

​A few helpful notes for others:

Accessibility: It is not fully wheelchair accessible as there are three steps up to enter, so you will need a hand getting inside.

Vibe: It doesn't serve alcohol and has a calmer, non-kid-centric vibe, though kids who love sushi will still enjoy the food.

I previous left a comment about the ribeye in my ribeye pho being raw. I apologize for that comment as I had not realized at the time that is how it would typically be served. “Ordered the vegan ramen, the noodles were tasty, the broth was rich and thick but too salty (I usually finish the broth, but I couldn't for this one even though I really wanted to). The menma was also really tough to chew/be separated from the block, so I couldn't eat them at all. I think, instead of being chopped on block, thin slices would be easier to eat.

“Afuri was such a lovely Japanese restaurant. There atmosphere was lovely, the staff where attentive and super friendly, the food was delicious, and their seasonal drinks menu was absolutely scrumptious!

“Zhongzhong Noodles in Brooklyn is such a great find! The noodles have a perfect chewy texture, and the broth is rich and full of flavor. The spice level was just right, and the portions were satisfying. I really enjoyed the food and would definitely come back for another bowl!“

“I want to like this spot, I really do.
The Noodles and Toppings are spot on for a place like this. Atmosphere is nice and drink selection is great. They even have this experimental menu which is cool.

However there are some glaring issues that prevent me from giving this a full rating.

First, this spot is cash only and has been cash only for a while.

Secondly, the broth is unfortunately bland, not sure if its due to the fact its chicken bone based rather than pork but I was dissapointed in the Miso ramen I tried despite how good the base ingredients were (Noodles, Egg, Chashu).

Thirdly the only other thing I tried was the Maki maki chicken, the chicken and breading were amazing but the other ingredients left something to be desired.
Honestly I feel like if they went back to the basics it would do them a lot of good.

“The restaurant is located in the Dyker Heights section of Brooklyn. They prepare Japanese cuisine. I ordered the sushi bento box. It includes choice of soup or salad, three shumai, rice, and eight pieces of sushi. The sashimi bento box is the same with nine pieces of sashimi. The harumaki are Japanese spring rolls and were crisp. The vegetable gyoza are dumplings with a vegetable filling. The food was fresh, well-prepared and well-priced. Very friendly and helpful staff.“

“Setagaya offers many options for more traditional ramen and some more creative things too. I ordered the miso ramen (not the spicy one) and found it to be a good quality standard bowl. The noodles were appropriately chewy. I estimate the egg cook time at something like 7.5-8 minutes. The broth was quite salty, so maybe don't pick the miso ramen if that's a concern for you. Miso is salty and this broth had plenty of it. The grilled pork was fatty and nicely charred.

I've had worse in Tokyo for higher prices than this.“
