“When I heard about @gahmnyc, I knew I must go and try. GAHM in Korean means "feeling" or "sense". Celebrity chef Esther Choi opened this restaurant in Brooklyn, featuring unique interpretations of traditional Korean dishes. Gahm by Mokbar offers a distinctive dining experience for those seeking authentic Korean cuisine. Everything was delicious. No struggle trying to think what to order because everything was tasty. The restaurant offers excellent service, with friendly and attentive staff providing great recommendations. The food is prepared with care and comes out quickly, featuring bold and comforting Korean flavors. The ambiance and service make it a fantastic spot for a night out with friends or a date. Remember to reserve ahead of time.
I got to try out:
Drink: Seoul Mule $16.00
Kalbi Mandu (Dumplings so good and tastes unique and different $13.00
Wiid Mushroom Pajeon $19.00
Sizzling Crab Fried Rice (MUST ORDER) $36.00
Dessert:Misugaru (their gelato is heaven. I can eat more! $13“

“Tsuta is kind of a mixed bag. I really did like their Michelin star food, which had a great depth of flavor and was great. However, despite not having many customers that day, still took around 40 minutes to receive our order. I still think it’s great value and an amazing experience but I would like them to improve on this front.“

“The most incredible ramen I've had in a long time. I would love to add a photo to this review, but my food disappeared too quickly.
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. It seems like most options can substitute the meat. Be sure to ask for off-menu items!
Dietary restrictions: Vegan options available as well.“

“Ramen was excellent. So savory and delicious, it's rare you can feel the broth very tasty. I barely finish my ramen but that day bowl was empty. I loved the experience and hoping to come back. My fiance got a chicken dish, can't remember the name but it was actually good as well. They do know how to cook!“

“Ichiran is a paradise for true ramen lovers! As a ramen enthusiast, I can confidently say that their ramen is exceptional in both flavor and texture. The rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles create an unforgettable taste that keeps you coming back for more.
What really stands out is the ability to customize your ramen to your liking – from spice level to noodle firmness. The atmosphere at Ichiran is designed to let you fully enjoy the experience, with individual booths that allow you to focus solely on the incredible taste without distractions.
I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to savor authentic Japanese ramen. Ichiran sets a high standard, and as a devoted fan, I’ll definitely be back!

“The food is amazing!! It was the perfect dish for the cold weather. Every dish was delicious. There is a waitlist but we weren’t waiting for long. Clean bathrooms.
Vegetarian options: Most items are made with pork broth but there is a miso ramen option. Items can be made for vegetarians“

“The food served at Tonchin Brooklyn is excellent and I appreciate the attention to detail from the food on the table to the atmosphere of the restaurant.
We got:
•smoked dashi ramen (phenomenally well-crafted broth, tobiko topping was fun, smoked fish oil was such a nice touch), appreciate the detail of nori sheet not submerged in the broth so it won't get soggy)
•+ original dashi salad (holy smokes the dressing and the flavors were really really tasty, I would definitely get this again)
•pizza ramen (was looking forward to trying this the most and it did not disappoint, savory notes, crispy guanciale was a nice touch)
Service was pleasant - they were attentive to refilling our water glasses. I was the first customer to use one of the restroom stalls and they even folded the toilet paper roll.
I would love to come back again and highly recommend anyone to try out the menu items I mentioned! The pizza ramen is a sleeper hit - give it a try!!“

“Service was great, food was delicious, great options. I got the chashu udon and it was excellent. The broth was a little too sweet for my liking, but the pork was tender and the noodles texture was good. I enjoyed it despite not loving the broth. The miso soup was also pretty dang good. My friend got the wagyu curry and she enjoyed it. Afterwards we got a desert… tea jelly…? Anyway, it was tasty <3“

“Extraordinary vibes here, whether you want to get your dance on for the weekend or just have a quiet meal. Two sides to the bar mean two different settings with the same great food and drink options. Friendly staff and a unique, fun menu for food and cocktails. It's my very favorite neighborhood spot!“

“We’ve been coming to Wanpaku for years (our my kid is obsessed with their ramen and asks for it weekly). The restaurant is super clean and cozy (and kid friendly with a great happy hour). We always have the best service - accommodating, polite and friendly. Tonight we ordered delivery and there was a small error on our order (first time we’ve dealt with a mistake from them in all the times we’ve been). When I called, they immediately remedied the situation and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. This kind of customer service will keep me and my family coming back to Wanpaku again and again. The ramen is delicious and usually our go-to but all the items we’ve tried have always been great also.“

“This ramen shop is a gem to the Greenpoint community. I am on my second visit, and have not been disappointed with the quality of the food. The chicken broth which is difficult to make has been carefully cooked, the noodles are not over cooked, and the combined ingredients to my Chicken pai tan ramen was enjoyable.
I do wish I had one more piece of chicken breast meat in my ramen because it was cooked perfectly. Yet another ingredient that is difficult to cook if not carefully monitored. Trust me I made alot of rubber chicken meals and still do.
Kid-friendliness: Seating for children available“

“tanoshii is a great little ramen spot in the heart of 5th ave.
stopped here to get a quick dinner and ended up grabbing a veggie Miso ramen and beef gyoza.
the food was really good! the atmosphere and presentation of this place is very asian and i like that vibe when deciding to eat ramen. the service is also excellent, our waitress was very attentive to our table.
the gyoza came out first and i think it was the better part of the meal. the dumplings were fried to almost perfection and the filling of meats and veggies inside was perfect.
i scarfed them down without a thought.
the ramen was also really good, but ny only issue was the triangles in the ramen were empty. seemed strange as i thought there should have been tofu inside, but the rest of the soup was good.
my ramen bowl came with bok choi, noodles, the triangles, abd a few other random veggies.
would come back and maybe try something spicier“

“The miso soup is life changing. I ordered delivery several times while I was sick and I think it cured me. Very fast kitchen.
Vegetarian options: Lots of choices. Very clear what is vegan and vegetarian
Dietary restrictions: It’s labeled clearly what is gluten free and what is vegan. It’s easy to modify or substitute things. I got ramen but substituted for rice noodles and it was delicious.“

Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. Prices are unbeatable. Overall, pleasant experience. I’ve been here about 4 times and everytime has been good.“

“I really like their spicy miso ramen. Don't let this thin sliced chashu fool you as I first looked down on it .. once I tasted it, the good flavor always in my mind. All other incredients are also fresh and well thickness and balance. The cook really has some thoughts on the combination in the ramen.“

“Ajimi Ramen quickly became my go-to spot for ramen in Brooklyn. The chef, who is Japanese, has created a welcoming and inviting space that feels authentic and cozy. The standout for me was the Ajimi ramen’s chicken broth—rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The noodles were perfectly al dente, with a great chew that added to the overall experience. The soft-boiled egg was another highlight, cooked to perfection.
The only slight letdown was the cha siu, which I found to be just okay; I wish it had been more tender and fatty. However, the overall experience more than made up for it, especially with the super affordable prices. The waiter was incredibly nice and welcoming, adding to the positive atmosphere.
A unique perk is that if you spend $200, you can use the pool table upstairs for free, which adds a fun element to the visit. I’ll definitely be back to Ajimi Ramen—it’s a gem in Brooklyn, offering great food at a great price.“

“Lovely food and atmosphere! There’s a beautiful backyard seating with tons of plants, and also not too loud, great place to have a conversation.
The restaurant concept is also interesting - they have two separate kitchens making Vietnamese and Japanese food, under the same house“

“We came here by accident since we didn’t plan to visit, but the food blew our minds. It’s one of the best Thai restaurants in town. The flavors lean toward the sweeter side, and the Penang curry and roasted duck over rice are particularly special and delicious.“

“Amazing customer service
Sushi was average but on par to others that offer the same special rolls in the area. Nothing too special but we loved that it was super spacious inside
We got the maki special tray B that comes with 10 special rolls for put party of 5 adults +2 kids
There’s also a separate omakase menu that we did not get to try but it does have a pretty decent price point so I wouldn’t mind going back to check that out next time.“

“Price raised since I last remembered but I have always loved Setagaya ramen. Had the black garlic tonkotsu and it was very good! Black garlic is a good addition to the rich tonkotsu broth, and the chasu is soft. Remember to return your bowl to the counter!“

“The food was sooo delicious?, I came here with my friend after a walk in the park and the food was able to quench our hunger. I ordered the Szechuan braised beef noodles and a side of marinated fried chicken, my friend ordered the marinated beef rice bowl. Every single thing we ordered was delicious, I especially loved the subtle spice with the noodles. The sauce served with the fried chicken was also delicious! 5⭐️“

“I couldn't come leave this review fast enough. I don't know what kind of magic they used for their vegetarian chicken, but it is so convincing that I had to have my roommate try it to confirm it wasn't the real thing. The bowl was gigantic, I'm fully stuffed with vegetables and they have all my favorites and a big variety. Delivery arrived much earlier than expected, but I would've waited two hours for how good my poke bowl was. Instantly added to favorites and I can't wait to order again
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian chicken, tofu, nearly every topping is some kind vegetable“

“Otani Sushi is a quaint sushi joint located on Fort Hamilton Parkway. There is not a lot of seating and there is no real table service, just order and sit down. I got the salmon lover set, which includes 9 pieces of salmon sashimi, 6 pieces of salmon sushi, and one spicy salmon roll, all for $23. That is an amazing deal in my opinion! I thoroughly enjoyed the sushi and every single piece of salmon that I received was absolutely divine. It was soft, fatty, and well marbled. It was super fresh which I appreciated. I also ordered the Miso Ramen. The pork belly of the miso ramen was super tender and yummy. but the broth of the miso ramen was not as flavorful in my opinion. The noodles also lacked a certain chew, which is what I personally prefer in my ramen. I would come back for the sushi but not the ramen. Overall it's a pretty solid unassuming sushi spot, and I would come back for takeout if I was in the area!“

“Let's start with the bad... don't worry, there's only 1 and I'm still giving you 5 stars. Dolsot bibambop was meh, a bit watery for a rice dish and no crunchy bottom. The awesome... all the rest! We enjoyed your proper Korean BBQ. The kalbi was FAB. I ate my heart out wrapping it in the beautiful lettuce and jigae. Spicy fried chicken, I woke up the next morning thinking about it! Seafood pancake, well fried and filled with seafood and green onions... adored! Perfect white rice, it was so hard to only have one bite of it... wanted to save room for the rest. Great service and great tunes. We found ourselves bopping/dancing in our chairs while eatting. Thank you for a wonderful Korean meal . I'm a fan!“

“Simply the best bowl of ramen I've had in Brooklyn. The broth is a really solid tonkotsu, great flavor, solid texture and weight. The noodles weren't the best but still very good for how fine they are, the mushrooms were such an unexpectedly good addition to the bowl and really balanced in a superb way with the broth and other elements, and both the egg and chashu were fantastic quality. The pork was a fantastic texture, an impossibly clean cut, was incredible soaked in the broth, and the eggs were the best cooked eggs I've ever had in a bowl of ramen. They were simply velvety in texture and just the right amount of sweet in balance with the salt of all the pork in the bowl.
Be sure to get the Echigo lager if you're having a tonkotsu, it paired so well with the salty broth. Will absolutely be returning.“

“The tsukemen i thought was delicious, the thick creamy broth coated the noodles and ingredients so well, it was a delicious broth with some good noodles, the karaage was hot and juicy but could use some work, at least a lemon wedge would have elevated it, but friendly staff a little slow but nothing that stood out to call them out on. Would definitely return for a bowl.“
