“Ok, this place is an experience. Now with the all the chichi restaurants, Mama's is a break. It's a hole in the wall, mom and pop, home made style like you hadn't tasted before in other established restaurants. I feel I am in China and trying out their local foods. Their pot stickers are huge full of meat. The special Mama's noodle is full of surprises. I liked the way that we went there with 3, she pulled out the only table in there and clear the stuff on it and made it a dining table for us. The owner is very friendly and chatty. She told us they use the best Japanese made rice cooker and German made knives. If you want a homey and unusual experience. Drop by when you are in the hoods.“

“What a cute fusion concept! Definitely a hug in a bowl type place so perfect for cold, rainy, or sick days. The owners are also super sweet and pet loving.

Their congee is nice and soothing, super perfect with the soft boiled egg. Also note that they are a mom & pop so they are very understanding with swapping on low ingredient days (ie they let me swap out avocado with sambal)“

“OMG. I don't feel like I have adequate words to describe just how amazing this place is.
We got 3 of their signature sushis and they were all out of this world - I really feel like I discovered completely new flavours here! This is a heaven for vegans.

Also: the dark chocolate cheesecake is a must try! It's delicious down to the last bite (we literally ordered it twice haha)“

“I stopped by for a lunch time special. Miso soup, 2 sushi roles and edamame and a saki. The staff always recognize me, are polite and friendly. The food is always delicious and the other diners are families. Its always a good experience. Thankyou!“

“I've only gotten rangoons from here, and it's the best crab rangoon in the neighborhood. The crab is visibly present and you can taste it. The wrapper is also thin and crispy. I can only assume they make the rangoons themselves, which is a good sign of the care they put into their other dishes. Every other restaurant gets pre-made rangoons because they are all the same joyless cheese packets with overly thick dough and no flavor. If you, like me, crave the rangoon...make sure to give theirs a try.“

“We’ve been ordering from Lichee Nut for quite awhile. Mostly take out or delivery. In all cases the food has been so good that we’ve stopped ordering at any other restaurant in Brooklyn. The range of choices is especially good as I usually choose a vegetarian entree and others in our group order anywhere from beef or pork to fish or shellfish. Everything tastes fresh and not in the least greasy. In particular the BeanCurd Szechuan style with Brown Rice was and is great as was/is Beef and Brocolli,, General Tso’s Chicken. Many other dishes as well. The Restaurant has been there for almost 50 years and they still are curious and always try to please their customers. Shrimp and Vegetables, Garlic Chicken,, Hot and Sour soup and wonton Soup,, dumplings, Moo Shu, and so many other dishes… everything we order has been great. There is something for everyone. Delivery is very quick, I’m getting hungry while I’m writing this review!“

“Food was great!! Ordered 30 minutes before they closed (felt so bad), but the lady who took my order over the phone was still so sweet about it. Service was great and delivery was quick. We got chicken wings and egg fried rice, orange chicken with white rice, and crab rangoons (my favorite). Will definitely come back and try other things as well!“

Photos online made it look like a pure takeout spot, but the interior actually has a great atmosphere and was super nice for dining in! They have a solid drink menu—beer, sake, wine, and a few sake cocktails—and the staff were extremely kind. Great overall experience.“

“When it opened this restaurant was amazing, then they ruined it. Now a Chinese food join from across the street took it over. Currently B rating but they do serve fairly good sushi and Chinese food. “I always order from here and they never mess up my order .I always explain to them that I am allergic to ginger & garlic and they never put in.... The food portions are outrageous, and the food is extremely tasty.....I always order lunch specials, and sometimes dinner combinations always a pleasant conversation on the phone..... I have not 1 complaint about this restaurant........“

“**If you order, you have to hit the add utensils thing. It’s a free menu item. That’s because of nyc law re plastic. They are all supposed to only give it if you ask.

They also typically take a little longer than the apps say, so just expect that. For me it’s an extra 15 but it probably depends on your distance too.

This place is good for the price. Classic basic sushi. Big menu and you don’t have to over think it.“

“celebrated with a friend for my advance birthday.The staff were really accomodating very on hands always checking if we are ok or if we need anything. The food was good portion we love the pineapple with meat porkbelly yum with chicken panang curry such a good combo. And a friend of mine asked the staff to surprise me for dessert cake with flower on my hair i really had no clue got surprise:) they can really surprise like the food and the scenic place they have it is amazing:)“
