“You know that scene near the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark where they open the ark and everyone who is looking has their faces melted off? My face looks like that now, because eating at Hungry Thirsty is like getting hit with a spicy-hot laser beam of love. The food is delicious, the staff are all super friendly, the music is pumping, and the colors are like pow! It's a full frontal happiness assault on your senses.“

Ain’t no lies them stars did me no wrong. From start to finish, my food came out timely manners. Crying Tiger! Crispy Pork! Bottomless Mimosas!!!!! You get unlimited booze til loose!! “Came for the smashburger on NYE and it was probably the best burger I’ve had all year. The flavors work together so well with the perfectly juicy patty, and the fried duck egg (a must!) is the icing on the cake. Paired it with the rice lager beer and it was the perfect lunch - just wish they offered it during dinner as well. Service can be a bit slow during peak hours but they were all very nice.“

“We were drawn across the street purely by the smell of great food and instead of sitting on a waitlist, we decided to see if Nuaa Table had a table open for two. We were instantly greeted by warm and friendly staff that luckily had availability. Besides the cozy atmosphere and creative menu, we were so pleased from the first bite (the duck buns) and felt glad to have stumbled upon this restaurant. From posh presentation, to street classics, even basil fries that will leave you surprised - all together it was a great dining experience. we will definitely coming be back to Nuaa Table and we’ll be brining friends!

“WOW!!! 10/10 would recommend and would 100% return. I booked as a surprise anniversary for my partner and I and expected it to be gimmicky - not at all!! The food alone is worth the price and more - phenomenal!! Creative and delicious. I’m not usually easily impressed, lived in nyc for 10 years and have dined at so many restaurants… this one really blew me away. And the experience!! The service!! It’s like a tour of Bangkok without being there - so cool. Highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed!!“

“The space is configured like a film set: you are in some backwater honkytonk in a remote outpost in Thailand in the 70’s. Psychedelic Thai music along with some disco blares loudly beneath the flickering lights, corrugated metal awnings, advertisements for beer, Fanta, god-knows-what hair care products — it actually looks like a sort of Thai bodega. Leaning forward from your antique movie theatre seat and peering into the downstairs you see large glass jars illuminated with red light. Some Mephistophelian herbal concoctions. On a large screen plays some grainy indifferent Bruce Lee knockoff from the 70’s. You get the picture….“

“Such a cozy place. We had a pretty big party and the staff was so accommodating. A few of us sat at the bar, where Terry made us all delicious cocktails (I had the Field of Violet, pictured below). Once we sat, TK was so kind and patient. There were no discrepancies with the orders, which was impressive for such a large party. The food came out quick enough and was DELICIOUS. I ordered Pad See Ew and finished before I realized I never took a photo. Definitely will be back!“

“Just found an authentic Thai Cuisine in Brooklyn with Northeastern Thai Flavors, bold spices, and street-food style dishes became my new obsession
Let me tell you a story about “JAEW” a famous Thai dipping sauce made with chili, lime, fish sauce, and roasted rice powder‼️ Trust me, this is your destination if you’re carving Thai food in NY 🏙️ especially Northeastern Thai cuisine rarely found in the city.
Crispy fried shrimp rolls filled with shrimp with sweet chili dipping sauce is a great starter 🍤
Grilled marinated chicken skewers served with creamy peanut sauce and refreshing cucumber relish is MUST-TRY 👏
Jaew truly brings sweet natural seafood taste of Crab 🦀 Fresh crab cooked with Thai spices and herbs, delivering a sweet and savory seafood flavor. Of course, you can’t miss Pineapple Fried Rice & Pad Thai. This is a unique sweet and savory combination in Jaew Thai Cuisine.
Mango Sticky Rice perfectly combines sweet sticky rice, fresh ripe mango, and creamy coconut sauce. Every bites transported me back to Thailand 🇹🇭 ✈️“

“Went here in the mid afternoon in a Sunday and it was a perfect t lunch. The restaurant decor is ADORABLE. The menu is creatively designed and had good options. My friend is vegetarian and had a good variety to choose from. I am not vegetarian and also did not feel limited at all. I had the beef pad Thai and it was DELICIOUS. My friend had the garlic sauce with tofu and veg and that was also flavorful. Both main dishes had large portions. Drinks were good! Service was friendly and good too! Overall I’ll definitely be going back ☺️“

“This was for sure the highlight of my week. I stumbled in for lunch by chance and will absolutely be back. The food was incredible and the service was exceptional from start to finish. The manager and owner were both so kind, which made the experience feel even more special. I loved the pad Thai and Thai iced tea, and Gigi who took care of me was an absolute angel. She was so warm and kind and made the whole experience feel so personal and welcoming. The restaurnt itself was beautiful and the prices were very reasonable too.“

“Elephant District in DUMBO exceeded every expectation for a family dinner. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff made us feel genuinely welcome — the host set a warm tone and our server Kay was absolutely exceptional. She was patient and attentive with our kids throughout the whole meal, checking in multiple times to make sure they were comfortable, gave them orchids to play with, and even took a moment to teach them how to say hello and thank you in Thai. That kind of warmth and thoughtfulness is rare and it made the whole evening truly memorable.
The food was outstanding. We ordered the crab fried rice, chicken kra prow with a sunny side up egg, spring rolls, and chicken wings. Kay brought chili fish sauce with the kra prow without us even asking — it was the perfect touch and really completed the dish. The seafood sauce that came with the crab fried rice was genuinely one of the best things I’ve tasted. Our kids are notoriously picky eaters and they finished every bite of the crab fried rice and chicken wings — that says everything. The vegetable spring rolls were a hit too.
We ended with mango sticky rice and it was a perfect finish — the mango was beautifully sweet, the sticky rice cooked just right, and the presentation throughout the whole meal was top-notch.
Even the decor was a win: our kids were completely entertained by the elephant wallpaper art (elephants eating tom yum and noodles — genius). We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!“

They were making little almond cookies at the table and before I left, the gave me one. Also delicous.

“Loved everything ordered here! The Pad Krapow Pork was super flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and the Thai Tea Pad Thai was such a fun twist — rich, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced. The Leaf Pudding was light, fragrant, and a really unique way to end the meal. Cozy vibe and great Thai comfort food.“

“I chose Holic Thai Bistro for a lunch meet up with a friend because of the location. I was delighted that I chose this beautiful restaurant when I walked in! The decor and atmosphere was great. It's a small restaurant but typical for NYC/BK and the layout flowed perfectly! I wanted to try so many things on the menu but decided to get the dumpling soup and a side a fried rice because it was 20 degrees outside! The food was great just the right amount of wontons and bok choy to fill me all the way up! The staff was very attentive gave great feedback and information on menu items. I had a lychee Thai iced tea for the first time which was great and included 2 sweet lychee fruits. My friend has the chive pancakes they were crispy and different from other chive pancakes but the flavor was on point. The green curry was also delicious! Overall I'll definitely go back great staff, very good food and beautiful atmosphere!“

“I usually get take out here and it’s just great Thai food. I go for the noodles or fried rice and I have not been dissatisfied with any single one of those dishes. I remember having the flu one time, felt terrible for so long. I decided to get the wonton soup and that lifted my spirits. You can tell these people truly love making food and it shows in their dishes.“

“I went to Chiang Mai, Thailand not long ago and have seriously been missing Northern Thai food, so finding this place made me really happy. I ordered the Khao Soi Stewed Beef and it instantly brought me back — rich, flavorful, and exactly how it’s supposed to taste. The See Khong Moo Cob Hang Lae was also amazing, super tender pork in a curry sauce with ginger that felt very authentic.
I really appreciate this restaurant for bringing true Chiang Mai flavors to Brooklyn. The food was great, the service was friendly, and everything just felt warm and welcoming. So glad I found this spot. Definitely a must-try if you love Thai food.“

“I like to eat somewhere a few times before I give a rating and I’ve now eaten here 4-5 times and everytime it’s been amazing! First time was in person, the owner is super nice and the food is so good. I’ve ordered delivery from them on their website directly and it’s not overpriced and they deliver it so fast. The fastest I’ve gotten it is within 20 min from ordering and it’s always the same delivery guy. I’ve consistently gotten the yellow curry and pad Thai — both delicious.“

“This place is really outstanding. Easily the best Thai in Bushwick, maybe all of Brooklyn.
They do the small things perfectly. Like take their tofu - it’s fried fresh and so perfect compared to other places who have absolutely terrible tofu.
Their curries are rich and flavorful. Their noodles have amazing depth of flavor.“

“Love the vibe here with the old Thai movie posters and products from Thailand visible on the shelves. Bangkok BAR does the classics well and the staff are mostly from Thailand so they grew up with the items on the menu. Love the beef larb and crying tiger.“

Spring roll was your usual the but the tofu soup was great and very flavor. The green was curry was INCREDIBLE. Full of flavor with a hint of spice. The chicken was nice and soft. “With no real dinner plans, my companion and I began walking the streets of Brooklyn and perusing the menus of the many restaurant within a 3-5 block radius. One of those restaurants happened to be TongDee. While the menu appealed to us, the ambiance won us over. The (literally) warm restaurant, dim lights and beautiful wood accents won us over on the cold, Saturday evening.
We arrived around 6 p.m., which is early for NYC dinner dining standards, so we were the only patrons dining in at that time. A few customers did come in to pick up to-go orders and eventually the tables slowly started to fill throughout our dining experience. There was only one employee working the dining room, but she was fantastic. All of our questions were answered, our water glasses stayed full, and our food arrived quickly and accurately.
We started wit the appetizer sampler. It’s a no-brainer since you receive five appetizers for the price of only two. The four sauces included in the sampler were amazing. For my entree I ordered the drunken noodles (mild spice level). The flavor was excellent and I was surprised at how many shrimp I received (you choose your own protein). When the dish arrived at the table I only saw two shrimp, but as I continued to move the noodles I uncovered more and more shrimp. My only complaint was that the noodles tasted slightly undercooked and required a bit more chewing than I’m accustomed to with this dish.
Currently TongDee doesn’t have an alcohol license, so you’re stuck ordering the standard non-alc bevs you’ll find in a typical Thai restaurant. I don’t know if they have a BYOB option, but it would be a smart move.“

“This place has the best pad thai in the city. And I know you're wondering ...how good could pad thai be, you basic human being? I don't get it either - something about the noodles they use that are kind of chewy. It's my go-to once a week.“

“We had our favorite duck dish last night from Amarin Cafe. I had pre-ordered it, because it often sells out, but arrived an hour early because I was looking at a clock I had not yet set back! They graciously agreed to get started on it right away, so I walked around the block, and it was done.“
