“I came around 5 PM today and initially was offered a seat at the bar, but I let the host know I preferred a table. She was able to seat me at a table, but told me I would need to give the table back by 6 PM. Which was crazy!!!! I understood that the restaurant may get busy, but I felt rushed knowing I only had about an hour. When I was leaving around 6 PM, there were still several tables available, so I was a little confused about why I was given such a short time at the table. The food was decent, didn't really like the grilled chicken, pad Thai was good thou but the seating experience could have been communicated better.“

“One of my favorite Thai places now in Brooklyn. Their dishes and drinks are so incredible and flavorful. Love their pad Thai! I feel like a lot of pad thais in the city can be a bit bland but theirs is super flavorful and delicious. Also amazing Khao Soi!“

“The space is configured like a film set: you are in some backwater honkytonk in a remote outpost in Thailand in the 70’s. Psychedelic Thai music along with some disco blares loudly beneath the flickering lights, corrugated metal awnings, advertisements for beer, Fanta, god-knows-what hair care products — it actually looks like a sort of Thai bodega. Leaning forward from your antique movie theatre seat and peering into the downstairs you see large glass jars illuminated with red light. Some Mephistophelian herbal concoctions. On a large screen plays some grainy indifferent Bruce Lee knockoff from the 70’s. You get the picture….“

“The food was delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The tomato salad was so fresh and flavorful, and the Short ribs Massaman was definitely one of the highlights—so rich and delicious!
We came on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was pretty busy, but the service was still warm, attentive, and friendly. Everyone made sure we were taken care of even during the rush, which we really appreciated. Great food, great atmosphere, and wonderful service. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes!“

“I have gone here for the past 2 years I’ve lived in Brooklyn, very frequently. This is by far my favorite and go to spot. I am so sad to be moving out of the city solely because I won’t be able to return here. They have truly the best waiters and waitress and the food has never disappointed. They will be very missed!!“

“Truly one of the most memorable and delicious dinners I've had in the city. We had the traditional Thai menu and was just floored at the quality. The hosts/tour guides were so fun and informative; it really did feel like we were on a little tour of Thailand! It's a small spot so would recommend for a date night or a small group. Will definitely be coming back to try a different menu!“

“After taking photos at DUMO coming here was such a treat!! The atmosphere is so aesthetic and my sister and I took amazing photos in here. The food was excellent, everything was perfectly balanced between the spice and slight hints of sweetness from the coconut milk (highly recommend getting the salad roll, the tofu was so warm and the rice paper was incredibly soft). The mango sticky rice to end our meal was such a good call too. To top it all off the service was phenomenal, very attentive and helpful in finding the right fit from the menu. Great gem and would recommend!! (Great for vegetarians as well)“

“I had the vegetable dumplings, vegetable/tofu Pad Thai, and papaya salad. Everything was thoughtfully packaged for takeout; served cold items stayed cold and hot ones hot. When I rolled up, there was a cheery atmosphere. The tofu in the pad Thai was soft not fried. Not normally my favorite preparation, but it was a solid dish with lots of vegetables, not just a stray carrot here and there. Papaya salad was perfectly spicy.“

“I can't pronounce most of what is on this menu and it doesn't matter. Ask the staff your taste preferences and they will steer you in the right direction. Beware, the authentic stuff is spicy. I love spicy food and I was sweating bullets, definitely ask for an extra napkin to swipe the forehead.“

“Everything about this place was AMAZING! The service from the employees was great and so was the food. The Chicken Pad Thai was a bit sweet but had that classic flavour to it. The dining area in the backyard was decorated with beautiful flowers along the walls which created a great place for taking food pictures.“

“Solid Thai spot right at the borderline of Crown Heights and Prospect Heights. Relatively spacious interior with a decorated front of the house and cozy back room. Extensive menu with plenty of noodle, rice, curry, and all other in-between Thai options!
What we got:
- Rock Shrimp (app): Perfect shareable dish between 2 people! The sauce is a bit sweet, but it goes well. Overall, tasty!
- Duck Roti Wraps (app): Another great starter! | really liked the sweet sauce that was drizzled on the plate, yum!
- Fried Rice with Crispy Pork (entree): Classic Thai dish that was very good! Prob my FAVE of the things we got! Slight spice, but very tolerable and it doesn't take away from the great flavor!
- Pad Thai with Cod (entree): This one was a bit of a miss for me. The noodles were a bit sweeter than l'd like and I would've loved if they added egg and bean sprouts to the noodles to dress it up a bit more. My least favorite dish, but huge portion size!
Overall, we enjoyed our time at Misc! Staff were friendly and very attentive as well. Next time I return, l'd love to sit at the front of the house for a brighter, livelier space!“

“Cute spot, and not too busy when we came on a Tuesday night at 8PM. Service was a bit slow at times, but all the people working were nice.
My favorite dishes were the spicy sweet corn salad (nice acidity and sweetness) and tom yum soup (good flavor). The tofu clay pot rice was also pretty flavorful and reminds me of a Taiwanese sticky rice dish. The pad Thai was a little sweet for our tastes and the eggplant basil could have used a little more depth of flavor. Overall though, enjoyed!“

“Very small Thai spot but the hostess is very friendly and very welcoming. The menu is pretty straightforward and easy the food is absolutely amazing. I ordered the lunch special. Spring roll appetizer, kra-pow chicken and a Thai iced tea all under $20? Can't beat great food and great price! I will definitely come here again during my lunch break!“

“A bartender in the area recommended this place to us and I am so glad she did. It is a whole vibe. Dim lighting, great music, and beautiful decor. We ordered curry puffs to start. 10/10 recommend. The pastry was delicious and the sauce was to die for. Next we shared the beef drunken noodle level 1. Another 10/10. Perfectly seasoned and spiced. We ordered the mango sticky rice for dessert. It wasn't my cup of tea because warm sauce, mango, and rice is too much texture for me but my partner loved it. They had happy hour until 7 (even though it was saturday) so we also each had a Johnny Sour which was amazing. 1 was more than enough. Overall portions were a good size, good was amazing, great service, and fun atmosphere. Go give it a try if you haven't already!“

“I wanted to be spontaneous and try a restaurant in Williamsburg. We were greeted by Amanda and Che who were the friendliest host I have met in a long time. We didn't have reservations but a table opened up quickly. I love the esthetics of the restaurant and all the murals on the walls.
Their spicy mango cocktail seems to be their top seller because almost every table had a glass, just be warned it comes with a whole chili pepper inside. I also tried non alcoholic Coco bah which was simple and refreshing.
Food was all unique Thai food and flavorful. I told them I have a shrimp allergy on our lovely server Emma wrote on the menu what had shrimp or shrimp ingredients on the menu. For appetizers my friend tried the squid ink calamari and Grilled Pork Cheeks both incredible starters.
My friend had the crab fried rice which is also popular in the restaurant and 30 day dry aged beef Kaprow. The dish looks like ground beef but the flavors were amazing with garlic, basil and hot chili. I will definitely want to go back and try other items on their menu.“

“Cute spot! Nice folks.
Ordered pickup and it was delicious.
Had the red curry, drunken noodles and chicken curry puff.
Portions were good, tasted clean and the noodles especially were flavorful without being overly sauced/oiled.
Would like to stop by to dine in next time. :)“

“This is a small neighborhood spot and I was shocked by how incredibly good it is. Most Thai places are all kinda the same but there’s a real qualitative difference between the other Thai places in the area and this one. You really ought to do yourself a favor and try it.“

“Love the vibe here with the old Thai movie posters and products from Thailand visible on the shelves. Bangkok BAR does the classics well and the staff are mostly from Thailand so they grew up with the items on the menu. Love the beef larb and crying tiger.“

“Uber Eats order - beef was super chewy and overdone with no flavor. Also I feel like the bean sprouts and add one should be separate. Also the broth was lackluster. I think it’s probably the only pho I haven’t finished. Crab Rangoon was nice though“

“Good good and good service. Was it the best Thai food? No. But it’s a solid neighborhood restaurant. The sauces were generally too sweet for my taste. But others may like it. The fried whole branzino was very good. Legit spicy hot peppers but not Thai spicy overall. Papaya salad was fresh and crunchy.“

“Chinta Thai was a very good experience from start to finish. We ordered the pork belly, half duck, and a few cocktails, and everything came together really well.
The pork belly was one of the highlights of the meal. It had a great balance of richness and flavor, with the kind of texture you want from a well-prepared pork belly. It was satisfying without feeling overly heavy, and I would definitely order it again.
The half duck was also excellent. It was a generous portion and very flavorful, with tender meat and a preparation that made it easy to enjoy and share. Between the pork belly and duck, we had more than enough food and both dishes were worth trying.
We also had cocktails with dinner, and they were very good. They complemented the food nicely and made the meal feel like more of a complete night out rather than just a quick dinner.
Overall, Chinta Thai delivered a really enjoyable meal. The food was flavorful, the portions were satisfying, and the cocktails were a nice addition. If you're looking for Thai food and want something beyond the usual basic dishes, the pork belly and half duck are both worth considering. I would happily come back and try more of the menu next time.“
