Somtum Der is an “A” sanitary graded, tiny Thai restaurant with one of the best selections of food and menu. Everything looks so delicious, that it is hard to decide from where to begin ordering. I’ve tried Creamy Tom Yum Goong with shrimp and mushrooms, and beef Moo or Nue Ping Kati Sod. Both dishes were perfectly done, very flavorful, and tasty. Quaint restaurant with outdoor seating and authentic Thai cuisine. The staff are very friendly and the establishment plays great music during service. My favorite things on the menu: pad Thai (beef, shrimp, and chicken), spring rolls (with dip), and Thai iced tea!
As a New Yorker, I can honestly say this is the best Thai food I’ve had thus far. The beef is so tender it’s like brisket. Service was excellent too. Very affordable too ($16 lunch special pictured). Highly recommend!
