“This is a very local restaurant.
It doesn't have fancy decor, nor does it serve mind-blowing dishes with flavors you can't find anywhere else.
However, their food is very wholesome and down-to-earth, without the heavy oils or excessive salt used to aggressively hook a customer's palate.
The prices are also very affordable—I imagine people working nearby frequent this place often.
I'm a delivery truck driver, and whenever I pass through this area, I make sure to stop by.
The elderly owner is Taiwanese and extremely kind, and they also employ some Spanish staff. The overall work atmosphere is wonderful, and I'm certain the owner treats them very well. Dining here gives you a sense of peace that you just can't find anywhere else.
You shouldn't go out of your way just to eat here, but if you happen to be passing by, you definitely have to drop in and check it out.“

“I can tell this place is special and that the owners and team behind it put a lot of care and love into the food. The sauces are clearly made fresh from people who know Thai food well. I’m so lucky I get to eat this food often. I would upload photos but I ate it so quickly that all that sit in front of me now are plates that have been licked clean.“

“Em Vietnamese Bistro has been on my list for a while, so I finally got to check it out! At first, the interior looks like you are walking into an office, not a restaurant; I had to do a double-take to make sure I walked in the correct door. I made a reservation for 6:30pm on a Friday, but the restaurant wasn't full at any point. Since the space is small, you are seated close to other people at peak dining hours.

My friend and I both got the Bun Thit Nuong ($17) and we shared a Cha Gio ($11). The spring rolls left a lot to be desired, both presentation-wise and taste-wise. For presentation, the rolls would benefit from a smaller plate with a more curated selection of vegetables. The huge romaine inundates the dish, and we didn't end up eating it, so it just seems like a waste. Flavor-wise, the rolls were on the plain side, which do not justify the price. After that appetizer, I was pleasantly surprised by the entree. The pork was cooked and flavored well, and I gorged myself. Everything tasted fresh and refreshing! I also think for the portion size and the area, the price is worth it.

Service was good in the sense that they did not rush us, but we had to ask for everything, from getting someone to take our order to asking for the check. The Bun Thit Nuong was the highlight, and I would eat it again if I was in the area!“

“One of my favorite Thai places now in Brooklyn. Their dishes and drinks are so incredible and flavorful. Love their pad Thai! I feel like a lot of pad thais in the city can be a bit bland but theirs is super flavorful and delicious. Also amazing Khao Soi!“

“The food here is delicious and so savory! Huge portions and super filling! I came here to celebrate my birthday and the server told me happy birthday and was so kind! Definitely worth it, I ate the whole meal! Also the matcha is delicious :)“

“Really enjoy this place. Food comes out fast, and it's always fresh and spicy, if you like a kick, this is a solid spot for it.

Only gripe: white rice costs extra. Come on, it's rice! Docking one point for that alone.

“Really enjoyed our dinner at RUA Thai. The food is beautifully presented, but more importantly, the flavors still feel bold and distinctly Thai rather than toned down for looks. The Shrimp Donuts were crisp outside with a generous, bouncy shrimp filling, and the Larb Wings had a great balance of lime, chili, herbs, and fish sauce. The Cream Tom Yum was rich but still kept the signature sour-spicy kick, while the Crab Curry was probably my favorite main — flavorful, aromatic, and perfect with rice. The Crying Tiger was also cooked very well, with a nice char and a bright Thai dipping sauce. We also tried the Chili & The Moon cocktail, which paired mezcal with mango in a really balanced way, smoky, fruity, and not overly sweet. Great atmosphere, thoughtful presentation, and food that actually delivers on flavor. Definitely a place I’d come back to.“

“We had a very nice time at this restaurant. It is small, cozy, and very conveniently located. We went on a Thursday evening and it wasn't crowded as most people order delivery from this place. Once we placed our orders, the food came out pretty fast and it was piping hot and very delicious. The Green Curry is a must and also loved the Milk Tea with Boba. Definitely recommend this spot for some great Thai food.“

“Ok, this place is an experience. Now with the all the chichi restaurants, Mama's is a break. It's a hole in the wall, mom and pop, home made style like you hadn't tasted before in other established restaurants. I feel I am in China and trying out their local foods. Their pot stickers are huge full of meat. The special Mama's noodle is full of surprises. I liked the way that we went there with 3, she pulled out the only table in there and clear the stuff on it and made it a dining table for us. The owner is very friendly and chatty. She told us they use the best Japanese made rice cooker and German made knives. If you want a homey and unusual experience. Drop by when you are in the hoods.“

“Ler Lers is a gem in Bed-Stuy. Exceptional Thai restaurant. Every dish was packed with flavor, and the service was just as good. Sue made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. She was warm, attentive, and clearly cared that we had a great evening. Excellent food, excellent people. We'll be back.“

“Cute spot, and not too busy when we came on a Tuesday night at 8PM. Service was a bit slow at times, but all the people working were nice.

My favorite dishes were the spicy sweet corn salad (nice acidity and sweetness) and tom yum soup (good flavor). The tofu clay pot rice was also pretty flavorful and reminds me of a Taiwanese sticky rice dish. The pad Thai was a little sweet for our tastes and the eggplant basil could have used a little more depth of flavor. Overall though, enjoyed!“

“The rice noodles were plentiful, with plenty of toppings, and tasted great. The preparation was also quick. However, the broth may have had too much MSG added; my husband and I both felt a noticeable discomfort in our throats after eating it.“

Those were the best noodles I ever had in my life they were thick and I'm guessing home made. Not to mention, friendly staff

I didn't expect one to be that huge the bucket was about the size of my head lol. Me and my man share a lot because we're sometimes on a budget and we both got full, and satisfied from this. It was about $11 or $12 bucks. The chicken is rotisserie style which to me is a added bonus. The veggies in it were big size and delicious. We are sold and coming back to get this again or try more.

“good food nice hostess and Crew“

“Experiencing a classic tonkotsu ramen was very satisfying. We came in and wanted to be seated at the booth, and it was nice that the partition wall that divides each booth can be folded up if you want to sit with your party. The ramen itself was amazing, although the quality of the chashu differed with each piece. Broth was rich and addictive and would totally eat here again for the ramen itself. We also enjoyed the matcha pudding, which was a cute little dessert for us to share but I honestly wouldn't get it again. The matcha flavor wasn't particularly strong and although it wasn't sweet (which is how I prefer it) I just wouldn't get it again. 10/10 would go back if I was in the area again.“

“The noodles here make going out in a blizzard worth it (lowkey hope the staff doesn't put themselves through that just to serve us though). The beef stew noodle is so warm and filling, it really hits the spot any day. The service here is fast and might be mistaken for being inattentive, but that's not the case. The staff here works hard and quick to make your experience really great. Not to mention it's super affordable, which is a rare occurrence in NYC nowadays. Give these guys a try!“

The toppings - 6/5 stars - Beef was slow cooked/braised such that the collagen started to break down. I thought I was gonna get the typical rubber-beef from casual togo spots but this was silky. Egg is a proper soft boiled egg, marinated. You can taste it. And the bok choy was crisp. Exceeded my expectations, respected each ingredient. Thank you chef.

“I’ve been to Superior Wonton Noodles a couple times, and this restaurant never disappoints. This time, I went around 11:50 am on a Sunday, and it was crowded, but we were able to quickly find a seat. In fact, a huge crowd of people left right as we sat down, so it’s possible the crowds gather right before noon at this restaurant. I always order a bowl of noodle soup with No. 8 noodles, otherwise known as ho-fun in Chinese. There are options to add one, two, or three toppings. I tend to stick to two toppings. This time, I ordered beef tendons and brisket, and both were super tender and melted in my mouth. I think if you don’t want too much meat in one order, it would make sense to get a wonton or fish ball topping instead of two beef toppings. Another member of my group ordered wontons and fish balls on their order. The wontons are huge and filled with shrimp, while the fish balls are also ginormous and taste great! And no order is complete without a glob of the restaurant’s homemade chili oil. Superior Wonton Noodles’ chili oil is sufficiently spicy and tastes so fresh. After you are done eating, you get up and pay at the front, and you have the opportunity to order some of that oil to go! I would highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I went to this place with my family for my birthday. It is a very cute little place and I loved the food here. It is very close to Brooklyn Tabernacle so we walked from the church after secure for a late lunch. Everyone was hungry and the food was delicious. We ordered some appetizers shrimp shumai and pork gyoza. We had three ramens, one unagi don and one pork katsu curry. All the dishes were amazing. The service was excellent as well.“

“I literally dream about the spicy hand-pulled noodles in my sleep. The spicy sauce is amazing and you can even buy a jar of it lol. “I never write reviews but was compelled to after trying this yummy neighborhood gem. I love 1915 Lanzhou hand pulled noodles and wasn’t expecting much from a local bk spot. The noodles were surprisingly springy! Maybe even more than 1915, the broth was good and the crispy lamb chops were delicious. Perfectly fried, great seasoning and fall off the bone meat. Far exceeded my expectations, there’s not that much “atmosphere “ but we all know we don’t go to these kinds of places for atmosphere, also great prices too and you can get pie for dessert at Pete’s next door!“

“This was the best Thai restaurant experience we’ve ever had! We’ve been to many Thai restaurants, but this one is by far our favorite.

The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I even ordered extra duck because it was so delicious!

What truly made the experience special was the service. Our server spoke both English and Spanish and told us he was born in Madrid. He was warm, attentive, professional, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
