“I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars. Service is fast, food is edible, but not something I would crave or after eating felt satiated.

I’m vegetarian so I got the veggie bowl which was kale, broccoli, picked veggies and sweet potatoes with quinoa. There was too much quinoa in relation to veggies. I did eat everything and left most of the quinoa.
Veggies tasted ok and everything was seasoned well.

If you are in a pinch and need a fast healty-ish lunch, I think this place could work. I have been here twice in the year and a half I have lived in DUMBO.“

“I ordered the standard ramen with the addition of a soft boiled egg and an extra half serving of noodles. It was fairly busy, quite a few people were already seated when I entered. The staff member who greeted me at the door personally and professionally assisted me and guided me through the entirely neat and interesting experience. I was greeted well by my server, who answered all questions well and to the standards of the restaurant. I wish that the food was flavorful, but I would have loved the option of tasting and adding spice myself. The oiliness was also surprising. The broth was good as it was, maybe I’ll ask for less oil just for next time to try the broth at that level of flavor intensity.“

Even got better as you dug into the cup lol If you're looking for something different and on the lighter side that was just at the spot. So rice is a good option.“

“The sushi was so fresh( fish ). Literally felt like it was melting in my mouth. And I love that the prices are not too high, that's very important as well! The ambiance was very warm, nice place to take your significant other😄.
They even have sushi rolls that are around $7 which I really appreciate and I'm sure many others do as well!
Sometimes the store can be really full and the waiters can get mixed up due to the traffic of orders, so it's always better to be clear at the start. Enjoy!“

“The lunch special costs more money for less food. I guess these guys didn’t get the memo that a lunch special is supposed to be a good deal, but not here. The food is fine. The service is good. The lunch special is $19 for a small portion entree and a small portion side vs. regular entree for $16. This is no deal and was unexpected. Ain’t nothin special about this special unless you like paying more money for less food.“

“Our guests are arriving around 3:30 on Sunday. We wanted to sit down, have a meal, and chat. I called to make a reservation at this cafe. Artem answered, saying he was the manager. He asked, ‘Will you leave by 5?’ I thought maybe there was a banquet after 5, but I was told, ‘No, we just have two time slots: until 5 and from 6. It’s inconvenient for us otherwise. Even Igor (the owner) won’t be able to help you.’ It felt very rude and unprofessional. I’ve lived in the US for 30 years and have been to this cafe many times (though usually after 6), but I’ve never encountered service like this anywhere before. “I’ve been yearning to get some ice rice in Brooklyn for a long time. Their ChangLe ice rice really hits the spot, it is very authentic, refreshing, and delcious. It’s topped with raisins, watermelons, jelly, various flavors of small boba, and peanuts. Lastly, the sticky rice was perfect!“

As soon as we got to the table we were immediately given hot bread that my daughter's attacked like a pack of wolves. The bread warm and delicious. Then the food came. “Still my favorite crossing bridge location in 8 Avenue. Very flavored broth and for a time frame now they stopped charging tips and it's more self service.

So you ordered in the front and for crossing bridge noodles you can either request them to put in everything or have them take it out with each ingredient and put in everything yourself. It's also not as busy back in the day so usually there isn't any wait time.“
