There was so many workers, ( someone opening the door/security, and then there was a worker on the main floor restocking/replenishing).. so many people, I guess everything was moving smooth. But to me, It was just feel a little chaotic, as to where to stand to wait for your order. There was deliveries, people using the kiosk, people in the shop ordering bake and shark having to pay for it first and then going and waiting for it. FOOD WAS GREAT!“

“Very nice restaurant in a brownstone bldg with large windows, a full bar, beautiful Afrocentric art and a spiral staircase to the second floor.

The food was pricey but amazingly delicious 🤤. We had a truffle burger (8 out of 10), braised oxtails (8 out of 10), rice and beans (7 out of 10), Ras & pasta (8 out of 10) , mussels appetizer (10 out of 10) and Caesar salad (9 out of 10).

The wait staff were friendly and courteous but I thought could've been a bit more attentive as we had to actively search for our water glasses to be refilled and also seek out someone after no one came to take the drink order.

Other than that there was live music that was really nice (although a bit too loud).

“The food was good, but they really need to do better about customer service. We had a party of Nine that wanted to dine-in. We were given no help only told us to put the table back after we moved them together ourselves to seat us. Luckily we dine in because we was missing a full order of Rasta pasta. My mom order okra and fish. We were missing the okra so they refunded me a dollar. As we were leaving the young lady approached me saying they gave her pumpkin that she didn’t order or want and asked for the dollar back. I was very surprised about that. As I said customer service was not up to standard.“

“I go here often for lunch. Plenty of variety, and fairly quick service. I always get the ribs from Tejas + kids mac n cheese. Everything else was good too, but the Thai food here is lacking (they used italian pasta for the pad see eew (not rice noodles) and pasta was very al dente both times i tried here). Havent seen if they improved for that restaurant yet but I always come back for Tejas!“

Service is friendly and quick, atmosphere is casual and welcoming (good spot to catch a game or unwind). Portions are generous, prices fair. Minor thing: can get loud on busy nights, but that's the pub charm. 4.5 stars — solid Sheepshead Bay hangout!

“The person serving food was very helpful and providing information about the various products and patties, all homemade. I bought the lunch special for someone else which was a bargain at less than $6, after tax. The salmon and callaloo patties were hearty and tasted great but the dough was tough. this was only 2 PM iso it should not have been this hard to bite into.“

The produce is fresh and meats are delightfully tender and flavorful. Love in every bite and always a new culinary experience meal to meal.

The cocktails are perfectly balanced and the poured drinks are a thoughtful pairing to any dish.

The menu is literally curated from top down and if you find yourself in a spicy moment start in the middle of the drink menu and work your up or down depending on how feisty you’re feeling.

“First time trying Trinidadian food, and I was a bit lost on what to order. We ended up getting the goat roti and fish doubles. The portions were huge, and I loved the flavours. I’d never had anything like the fish doubles before, and it turned out to be my favourite. I’ll definitely be back to try the bake and saltfish, along with some of their other dishes.“

“The chef deserves a medal for grinding and cooking in this heat wave in such small quarters. The heat didn't affect his attitude at all though! He was so pleasant. I ordered the small ox tail plate that came with rice and beans and 2 big pieces of sweet plantain. I requested the Jamaican slaw which was a mixture of macaroni and cabbage and seasoning that I loved. The mac n cheese was exactly what a mac n cheese should be. Dense and delicious! The neighborhood really benefits from people like this sharing their culture and flavor so thank you!“

“I grew up eating Jamaican food and this is hands down the best Jamaican restaurant that I’ve been to in Brooklyn! The food is consistently delicious and made to order — no food sitting out on a heater waiting for someone to order. I’ve had the jerk shrimp, curry shrimp roti, jerk salmon, and other items and the food is always fresh, tasty, and plentiful. They sell juices and cake which are also amazing. I’ve been going here once a week since the pandemic started and I’m always so excited to get my food. The owner is amazing and is dedicated to always providing five star service and food.“

The cow foot soup was ok, I’ve had better but it was still decent. Not sure if I would order it again. They also have great lunch special options to choose from that also includes a drink. “I love that they have Thursday through Saturday happy hour. Drink prices are great and the drinks were really good.

Kitchen was a little slow, but had some drinks while I waited.

I checked all my food before I left to make sure the order was right but didn’t realize until I went to eat that one of the wing flavors was missing a wing (4 instead of 5 😩).

I had the mango buffalo and jerk wings. Didn’t get much mango flavor which I was looking forward to, but they were still good.

But the jerk wings were perfection!! I will be back off the jerk wings alone.“
