There was so many workers, ( someone opening the door/security, and then there was a worker on the main floor restocking/replenishing).. so many people, I guess everything was moving smooth. But to me, It was just feel a little chaotic, as to where to stand to wait for your order. “The food was good, but they really need to do better about customer service. We had a party of Nine that wanted to dine-in. We were given no help only told us to put the table back after we moved them together ourselves to seat us. Luckily we dine in because we was missing a full order of Rasta pasta. My mom order okra and fish. We were missing the okra so they refunded me a dollar. As we were leaving the young lady approached me saying they gave her pumpkin that she didn’t order or want and asked for the dollar back. I was very surprised about that. As I said customer service was not up to standard.“

“I found this restaurant on the IN KIND app, and the menu looked great. I don’t live far, so I was a little skeptical since I had not heard of it, I used to own a restaurant in the neighborhood, and I eat out several times a week in Manhattan and Brooklyn at the same places that I love, and I also love cooking amazing food for family and friends.

Let’s say, I was pleasantly surprised, and actually blown away! My family is Jamaican, so fusion isn’t always my thing, but this restaurant did the most amazing job with all of the food! The proteins honored the culture, and the fusion elements actually mirrored my favorite Chinese Jamaican spot in Ocho Rios, so all of it honored its roots! ON TOP OF THAT, the vegetables were fresh and flavorful—not overcooked! Excellent. And the jasmine rice was the best rice that I have had anywhere in NYC. PERIOD. A chef that cares about the RICE is definitely putting his foot in the rest of the meal! I had to call back to get the name of Chef Bunny - I needed to know who COOKED that food! And Amanda was extremely helpful with taking our order and fixing a little boo boo in our pickup order. She had the incorrect item Lyft couriered to us - I appreciate the extra effort and expense, as I know restaurants have a tight profit margin. I will definitely be back to dine in - can’t wait.

Our group got the oxtail, jerk chicken, pineapple and basil fried rice, and the ORANGE chicken - I tasted and ate all - each one better than the next. And we topped it off with the bread pudding (and added Haagen Das and whipped cream at home).“

“Absolutely fantastic experience at BunNan in New York! We visited during happy hour and ordered the Plantain Jerk, the Snapper Sliders and a lemonade. Everything was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, beautifully prepared and excellent value.

A special mention to our server, Gabby, who was brilliant. She was friendly, attentive and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. Her service really made the experience even better.

“Came to Continent Brooklyn for a late dinner and cocktails with some girlfriends and we had such a good time! The atmosphere is definitely one of the highlights — sexy, grown, and sophisticated without feeling stuffy. There were lots of couples enjoying date night along with a few other groups of girlfriends, and the DJ was great and kept the vibes going all night.

The food was absolutely the star. We shared several dishes, including the oxtail lo mein, salmon, mac & cheese and wings, and everything was flavorful and delicious. We finished with dessert, which was just as good. Definitely come hungry!

The cocktails were probably the one area that didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience. They weren’t bad, but considering how good the food and overall atmosphere were, I expected the drinks to be a little stronger/better.

That said, we had a great night. Between the food, music, beautiful interior and lively atmosphere, Continent is a great choice for a late dinner, date night or girls’ night out. I would absolutely come back“

I ordered the small ox tail plate that came with rice and beans and 2 big pieces of sweet plantain. I requested the Jamaican slaw which was a mixture of macaroni and cabbage and seasoning that I loved. The mac n cheese was exactly what a mac n cheese should be. Dense and delicious! The food is consistently delicious and made to order — no food sitting out on a heater waiting for someone to order. I’ve had the jerk shrimp, curry shrimp roti, jerk salmon, and other items and the food is always fresh, tasty, and plentiful. They sell juices and cake which are also amazing. I’ve been going here once a week since the pandemic started and I’m always so excited to get my food. The owner is amazing and is dedicated to always providing five star service and food.“

“Pablo Santo just catered our daughter's wedding. This food is THE BEST, Most flavorful and perfectly prepared food! The ceviche was tasty without being too tart. The Wild Boar was tender, with a perfectly balanced gravy. All raged over the plantain stew! Personally the rabbit mole was to die for! Perfectly prepared meals, with quick attentive service!
