“I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl! To finally bring my husband here now is really full-circle. The quality of the food is STILL amazing, the portions are huge, and everything tastes perfect. Love this spot. Best place I like to get Guyanese food apart from my grandmas cooking!“
“VERY VERY nice place to kick it. The food is delicious and owner is very respectful and nice. 4 blacks people In a Guyanese restaurant and everyone else was indian/Guyanese. Man did they made us feel Comfortable. I know it sounds crazy but trust me. Food and hospitality of this place is %100. Definitely going back.“

“Had such a great dinner at Rice Bowl yesterday! Monica, our waiter was kind and attentive. We always come for the calamari, j*** pork, and garlic chicken fried rice, this time had veggie lo mein and roast lamb as well. The atmosphere can be hit or miss - sometimes its more of a bar scene and can get loud. Yesterday, however, it was comfortably ambient.Consistently good food, excellent service, and unique flavor makes this a must every time I'm in town.“
“The food here is satisfying and reasonably priced. The doubles are always fresh and delicious and they don't skimp on the filling like a lot of places in the area. Their roti is very good along with their stew chicken and curry goat. Some other dishes I've had from there is the pumpkin, spinach and okra which I loved and we also had the fried rice and bbq chicken which was very flavorful. My only complaint is perhaps the service could be a bit more friendly...no one wants to patronize an establishment where you are supporting them yet they always seem irritated or bothered by you.“
“Visiting from Australia ( the only Guyanese living downunder..hahaha), I have been watching Hibiscus Restaurant and Sybil's Bakery on Utube, promising myself a treat whenever I visited NYC. Well, my wife and I were taken and treated to lunch by dear family friends. Guyanese food is on another level, the perfect mixture of Guyanese Chinese / Indian food and style of cooking and Hibiscus restaurant didn't disappoint : from Spicy Shrimp, Spicy Lamb, Dahl puri and Dahl,House Special Chow mean, Beef Cook-up rice, Beef curry and rice, Chicken curry and a Roti..all went down deliciously, scrumptiously well, washed down with Mauby, Sorrel and Kola Champ. Thanks to the waitress who served us expertly, always smiling, and thanks to our family friends Mignon and her son LEE for taking us there and paying for lunch.“
“This is a great place for seemingly authentic Caribbean cuisine. The atmosphere is great with great natural lighting in the day and a nice lounge atmosphere in the evening. The food is delicious and they have many classics like mofongo and patacón. The biggest problem is the time it takes to receive the food once ordered. Also I'd highly recommend a reservation if dining in.“
“Title: Vibrant Flavors and Atmosphere at Kokomo Caribbean RestaurantRating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Review:**Food:** At Kokomo Caribbean Restaurant, the culinary journey is a mixed bag. While the oxtail scored a moderate 5 out of 10, the red snapper fish and wings impressed with an 8 out of 10 rating each. The standout was the drink—a fruit punch with Ray and Nephew—which kicked it up to a delightful 9 out of 10.**Ambiance/Vibe:** Kokomo's ambiance is a vibrant blend of old and new Jamaican culture music, earning a perfect 10 out of 10 for its inviting atmosphere.**Service:** The service, while generally good, lacked a bit of warmth in the customer service aspect, resulting in a 6 out of 10 rating.**Atmosphere:** Kokomo offers a cozy atmosphere, perfect for capturing memories with friends and family, earning a solid 7 out of 10.**Overall:** With a vibrant atmosphere and flavorsome dishes, Kokomo Caribbean Restaurant delivers a satisfying experience, earning an overall rating of 4 out of 5.“
“So, we always come from NC to get our fix of Guyanese in NYC. This is 100% the first place we stop and tell our friends and family how good it is. Everything on the menu is delicious and fresh, especially when you show up in person for it.So the only reason I can't give a 5 star review is simply because I made my first takeout oder by Uber Eats and confirmed by phone. I confirmed that they are going to get all of my requests correct because I have noted to please don't forget the pepper sauce and other sauces for the items I ordered. It's about $85 of food. I want to reiterate that I did both call and write the notes to "please don't forget those sauces," and guess what...Yes, they forgot it!!!Parking: They need to invest in a parking lot next door or offer delivery service.“
