The chicken fried rice was really good.
The first time I ordered, I chose the chicken fried rice and was amazed because it tasted like the Guyanese-Chinese food I used to eat 20 years ago from Liberty Ave. The second time I visited was on May 9, 2026 and decided to try the roast duck, chicken liver and gizzard and Rice Bowl house special fried rice; I was blown away! Excellent and tasty food in my opinion! Their house special fried is better than New Thriving’s and Kaieteur’s! Give them a try!

GT Rice Bowl serves good food, including their Guyanese Chicken fried rice, in a pleasant atmosphere. While customers have enjoyed their dining experience, the service has been a letdown for some. Servers have been slow to attend to tables, and some have even given off a negative vibe. Despite being busy, the service should be more attentive. However, the food has consistently been a highlight, making it worth a visit. With some improvement in customer service, GT Rice Bowl could become a top choice in the area.
