“There used to be a restaurant in this exact spot called “HOT POT” . Hot Pot was literally by the far the most disgusting Jamaican food I’ve ever had in my life and I mean everything was nasty no matter what you tried so I’m not too sure if this store now is under the same management or it’s a completely different owner but the food is so much better than Hot Pot is and I’ve had different food from this place and everything has been good CONSISTENTLY. It’s fairly new and I hope that the quality never changes but as of right now ? I would definitely recommend this place to anybody . The Chef at Irie be doing their thing and it’s underrated right now maybe because of the bad experience from the previous Jamaican spot that used to be in the same exact spot but I promise you guys that it’s not the same quality as Hot Pot was and you won’t be disappointed ? and the customer service was good no attitudes like the typical Jamaican spots“

“Honestly I’ve been to many Caribbean run businesses and 99.9 percent of them have TERRIBLE customer service. Reps are extremely rude and bossy like they own the place yet this location has a sweet lady behind the counter. She wasn’t loud or sucking her teeth.“

Triniciti pholourie bowl have d biggest pholourie I ever see in my life (d ting properly sauced down too), issa must. Plain doubles ong is d best. Saltfish pie euphoric but is d fresh bake n shark daiz justice. Meat in d curry goat roti was a lil on d tough side, but other than that, fantastic (excellent dhalpuri, curry sauce, pumpkin, aloo, chana, bodi)!

If you've never visited and plan to stop by as a walk in customer, join the line/queue to place your order at the hot food counter (a staff member will greet you). There are several menus posted on the walls (some are on pieces of paper, then there's a huge menu above the area where the staff prepares/boxes up the orders).

After you place your order with a staff member they'll prepare/box it and send it over to the cashier. All you have to do is stay in line and wait until you get to the register to pay for your order.

While you're waiting in line, there's bread (hops, coconut bake, sada roti, etc), pastries, desserts (cassava pone, etc), and snacks (tunnock's milk chocolate caramel wafers, big foot, cheezees, tamarind ball, etc) that you can take to the register to add to your order.

There's also currant rolls, pepper sauce, red mango, plum, cherries, coconut drop, (i think i saw toolum?), etc, BEHIND the counter too! So if you see those items and you want to add them to your order, just let the cashier know when you get to the register.

There's cold beverage fridges behind the cashiering counter, so you can get a cold drink (homemade sorrel, mauby, peardrax, ginger beer, seamoss punch, peanut punch, etc).

If you're in line, please don't skip anyone, you might (will most definitely) get cuss by other customers, on top of which you will be politely asked to leave by staff (there's a rule about it, posted quite visibly on the walls).

If you don't want to stand in line or the ordering experience is a little overwhelming during your first visit because it's busy, you can place and pay for your order at one of the kiosks (there's 2 of them to the front of the restaurant). Then you can wait, either seated or standing, to collect it at the kiosk/pick up area which is right next to the kiosks (they'll call your name).“

“Great service with a wonderful smile; I considered this place a unicorn based on my experiences with food service. I ordered a small stew chicken with white rice and got the portion size that was more than enough. The food was flavorful however the chicken texture was not very tender. I imagine that the cook may have pan seared it a little longer than usual, however I did smack my lips as I blended the sauce with the rice and the cabbage was done just right.

RyRy's location is within Jamaica Market on Jamaica Avenue, Queens. The atmosphere is bright and quite lively. So much colour and variety in the space. The janitorial staff does an excellent job keeping the place spotless, immediately cleaning up after you vacate the tables.

“First time visited. The food, service and ambiance were great. They have roof top dining which is what we did and the customer service was amazing. My drink was delicious, the food came quick and was hot and music was good also. The only thing I didn’t like was the smoking because I’m not a smoker but I guess that’s what the roof is for. “This is a very busy restaurant, but they are efficient and we did not need to wait long for a table. The decor is nice. Large paper palm trees in the corners and an assortment of masks on the walls.

Every cook has slight dif flavor and you can always taste the dif in food. The food was healthy & the overall service provided was very respectful. We also felt full and great after our meal! “This place will have your brain going insane as you won't know what to choose. Your going to want to try it ALL. As for me, I'm Trinidadian...so I already have tried it all. The food is all amazing. Everything from the curry chicken and stew pork with roti or Trinidadian fried rice. My favorite to get is the macaroni pie and doubles. The macaroni pie is only $2 per piece which is definitely a steal at that price. The doubles are also $2. The stew pork with fried rice was $14. I always get stew gravy poured on the macaroni pie which makes it so much more tasty. Some days after I finish my work day, I would stop in just to get 2 pieces of macaroni pie and 2 doubles before going home. I also love peanut punch so I always get one also.“
