“Visited from Orlando,Florida and was in the mood for some Guyanese homemade food for brunch. We ate here and they had a wide variety of food options from doubles, cook up, bake and salt fish and various curries paired with The best tasting roti I have had in a long time. We ended it all off with some very tasty Pastries that are homemade in store. The owner Serita is very hospitable and made sure we had everything and that we were well taken care of! If you are ever in the Queens/Long Island area I highly encourage you to stop in for a hearty meal“

“If I hadn’t peeked over the counter, I might never have realized this was a Jamaican restaurant. Aside from a few small Jamaican flags—which I didn’t immediately spot—the predominantly red signage doesn’t clearly reflect the Jamaican cuisine they offer.

That said, I thoroughly enjoyed my “small” portion of curry chicken with rice and peas, which many other places would probably consider medium-sized. Priced reasonably at $14.39, including a bottle of water, it was great value. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked, while the rice and peas were expertly prepared, with just the right touch of coconut to bring out the traditional flavors.

The server, Alicia, was both polite and engaging, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

My only suggestion is that they make it more obvious to passersby that this is a Jamaican restaurant—perhaps by adding more green, black, and yellow to their signage.“

The porridge was smooth, creamy, and full of authentic Jamaican flavor seasoned just right with the perfect balance of sweetness and spice. It had that comforting, homemade taste that instantly reminded me of traditional island cooking. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick. “Seriously fantastic food. The bustup shot Roti and curry was amazing. Considering how insanely popular and crowded the place was it ran very smoothly. I only gave it 4 stars for atmosphere because you can't be that busy and popular and it be a really relaxed environment 😀. The kiosk when you walk in is super convenient and the order comes out right there or you can wait in the crazy line to see everything on offer.

The people working there are really friendly and nice and handled the insanity so well.

“Ryry's catered a conference lunch for us for about 100 people and it was delicious food and a very professional experience. They were super responsive over phone and email, made helpful suggestions about planning the menu, answered questions about allergens, and overall were so kind each time we spoke. People could not stop saying how good the food was--and they were right! My only regret is that since I was running the conference I didn't get to eat as much of the food as I would have liked! We will definitely use Ryry's again for future events.“

“I picked up food here for the first time and Auntie was so incredibly welcoming. She was happy to let me sample a handful of the dishes they were serving, all of which were delicious.

The oxtail here is just phenomenal. The depth of flavor of the gravy was such a standout. My rice and peas were covered in it and I wish I had more!

The jerk chicken was incredibly tender and the sweet and spicy sauces were a great compliment.

The fresh pine ginger drink is a must have and the homemade coco bread was pillowy soft.

The chef is an absolute pro here when it comes to salinity. The seasoning was spot on for every entree without any lingering saltiness.“

“Went there last night to pick up dinner. It was busy. I ordered the jerk chicken rasta pasta and it was bomb.com! I didnt expect it to be this good. My husband ordered the 6$ bag from the too good to go app and he got 2 plates of fried chicken with rice and chicken curry. The curry and rice was ok. I liked the fried chicken. But 2 plates for 6$! “We catered from Trini Bites for a brunch with friends to celebrate our recent wedding. Working with Renee was an absolute pleasure. From start to finish, she was attentive and responsive. We knew we wanted to cater Trini food as my husband is Trini and I felt the stakes were high to make sure everything went well! And Renee delivered on every front.

The food was an absolute smash hit -- no tray was left untouched or unpolished, and we even sent folks home with to-go containers as they loved the food so much. Particular favorites were the stew chicken, the buss up shot, the mini doubles, and the curry chana and potatoes. “I have been here quite a few times I love this little spot. However I finally gotten a bad waitress she lied about not having hot water to clean my silverware. I have stomach issues so I have to be extremely careful or ill have a terrible reaction. I instead used ice water and still had that terrible reaction I had to run out to puke was pouring sweat I was in between going to the er and trying to sleep off the pain I was in. I know next time to bring plastic wear or ask for a different waitress.“
