“What a nice place with excellent goat curry. I went to check it out and the dining area is clean and unassuming. The young lady at the register was incredibly sweet and walked me through some options and I settled on the goat curry with rice, and I ordered naan bread to accompany the meal. Water was available on the table and a fresh veggie plate was presented before too long. Super fresh and very tasty. I will be back.“

“I ordered Spinach parathas, beetroot parathas without any chillies and it was made perfect. Extra butter, raita, perfect temperature just like my grandma made. I always order from here. Even entries that I order are always made to perfection with my special request of no chillies and no garam masala. Thank you Komal ji for providing a 5 star customer service always. YOU ARE THE BEST KOMAL JI.“

“I put in an online pick up order and for some reason, their system got it late. They doubled my samosa order. Not only that, it was one of the best samosas I have ever had. I had taken them to a party and everyone was in love with them. They seem like a family business and are really nice people. I look forward to trying their other dishes.“

“So I’ve been going to “Sohna Punjab” on Atlantic Ave in South Richmond Hill, for over a year now and after trying everything from dine in, takeout to even delivery, this “hole in the wall” is probably the best Indian restaurant not just in Richmond Hills but in Queens period. Don’t need to go to Manhattan as we’ve the best in Indian food right here in queens. They have an extensive menu and probably the only Indian restaurant that does non-veg as good as vegetarian dishes, and do everything on the menu well. Their portions are generous and prices are very reasonable. I would recommend from the appetizers, tandoori paneer tikka, soya malai chaap (I haven’t had chaap like these outside of India anywhere else ever), chilli paneer Sohna, gobi Manchurian and from non-veg appetizers, chicken malai tikka, chilli chicken Sohna, lamb chops (probably the best lamb chops anywhere in NYC period), and their mix grill platter was delicious and from Sohna Punjab specials, do try Chole bhature, Amritsari kulcha, and their Biryanis were not too shabby either (it’s a North Indian restaurant but they can match any South Indian restaurant in all kinda Biryanis) and from Main course, I’ve tried their dal makhni, palak paneer, baingan bharta, kadai paneer, paneer makhni, navratan korma, and shahi paneer was probably the best I had in New York and from main course, I love their butter chicken, of course, chicken tikka masala (personally my favorite and they would adjust the spice levels according to your taste buds), and their goat dishes are simply outta this world, especially, goat bhuna, goat Rogan josh, goat kadahi and while you’re there, do try their fish entries especially fish tikka masala-salmon and their bread taste so good that I have always ordered extra and everything is good and prepared fresh in the tandoor from chilli garlic naan to garlic naan and lacha parantha and Sohna Punjab is one of the rare restaurants to even make “makki ki roti”. I can assure you one thing though, if you ever tried their food, you’ll definitely go back for the quality, quantity and price and you’ll love to spread the word of mouth as I’m doing here because this “ hidden gem” of the Indian restaurant and owner needs to be shared and talked about more often. I’m kinda surprised that not too many people, Indians and non-Indians, know about Sohna Punjab. I never had a bad time here and always look forward to eating at Sohna Punjab. Thanks and take care“

“Ever since the new management began operating this restaurant, the food and service have improved so much. Now it's a family-run business apparently, and the owner is the uncle that created India Cafe in Richmond and Floral Park previously. He sold both those establishments and said his only focus is now on Royal India Palace, and you can tell ... the food is great.“

“If I'm not mistaken, my boy Moe put me on this legendary spot. When I tell you the food is amazing, I mean it's Blessed. It tastes delicious every single time. Various meats, poultry, veggies, so many dishes and options. The prices are very reasonable, staff is hard working and very nice people. I love coming here and have to visit soon, have a drink at the bar in the name of Peace, Love, Respect and Celebration of Life.“

I usually go there for chicken fried rice! Which amazing! Currently has become my favorite spot to get that order specially! From the van wyck to woodhaven cross rockaway Blvd back to Jamaica Avenue best chicken fried I would say !!!
However the atmosphere has to add some more modern technology lights etc !! And signs,it would be very bright lively“

“I found this place on Google and drove a half hour to get there. The staff was friendly, but looked surprises that an African American walked in. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious and the price was fair. The portion was more than enough and I would highly recommend this place and I would gladly return.“

“I always to there for their Falooda Ice Cream. The stuff they put in it I couldn't get anywhere else. The way they make their Rabdi, Lachhas and the ice cream is top notch. They got good vegetarian options for Indian street style food. The owner is super friendly and open and always interacting with the customers and suggesting food and drinks based on their liking. Will always be coming back until either my taste buds change or they change they way they make their drinks and falooda ice cream 🍨“
