“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My wife, our dog, and I came in for dinner and had an amazing experience from start to finish! The service was exceptional, and the owner was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and kind.
We ordered the chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, mango lassi, garlic & chili naan vegetable and chicken samosas, gulab jamun, and even received a delicious rice pudding on the house. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. Honestly, the food was so good that I forgot to take pictures before digging in!
The flavors were incredible, the portions were generous, and every dish was made with care. I walked out feeling like I had gained 10 pounds—but it was worth every bite!
10/10 experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for amazing food and outstanding hospitality. ❤️🍽️ #theyarepetfriendly 🐶“

“When I walked in the restaurant the delicious aromas let me know I made a good choice. The food was absolutely amazing with vegan/vegetarian options and even a complimentary gluten free appetizer. The staff was welcoming and the service great. The prices were reasonable, but the best part was the delicious food!!“

“Came to check out this spot based on the hype from my friends, and our experience was that the food was nice but nothing crazy. Starting off, the service and ambiance were good.
Here is what we ordered:
Fried Fish: Was nothing special. We expected something amazing since it's one of the most expensive appetizers.
Aloo Chaat: This was good.
Chicken Dum Biryani: Very flavorful and our clear favorite of the night.
Dal Makhni with Roti: The dal makhni tasted authentic.
Rose milk was just try too
Overall, it was a nice experience.“

“This is an incredible restaurant with amazing food, great service and welcoming ambiance. I had heard about it from my son and niece who live in NYC but I made it a point to go there while visiting from Chicago. I was so impressed during my first visit (by myself) that I went back within a month with my son and niece! Almost everything I had were incredible. The SPDP, wada pav, rava fry were to die for and same with the Ghaati (or gavraan?) chicken was very tasty as well. The two minor things to note are - the Paav (bread) I ordered the first time was okay (too dry or stale) but second time I had chapati and it was great. Secondly the Ghati chicken has some pieces that not everyone will enjoy or like the consistency of - it’s either the liver or the brain and my son wasn’t fond of it. Lastly it’s a cosy restaurant so you also get to strike up a conversation with Soham (chef) or his wife Aarti - especially around closing time. Can’t wait to go there again! Keep up the great work.“

“Had dinner here with a friend and really enjoyed the meal. Saag Panner and chicken Korma were especially terrific. We ordered on appetizer that wasn’t what we expected and the owner and the chef came over and explained the dish and suggested an alternative which they gladly swapped out. Service was terrific. Personal and attentive. Definitely recommended.“

“From Texas With LOVE for DHANIA! I am from TX where South Asian food is in competition to be better. 6 ****** Rating, Why? I am an Expert of Bengali/Indian/Pakistani food due to my involvement to provide bi-weekly food to our congregations of up to 500 members. Our food is mainly Bengali/Indian/Pakistani dishes and some outside items like salads/sweets etc. I mostly cook the main dishes MYSELF. During my visit to NY I dined in few restaurants. I never ate in any NY restaurants before. Dera rest: C+; 3 star Lahore rest: B-; 3.5 star Kababish: C-; 2 star Alibaba Kabab near Bufalo: B+; 4 star Few fast-food restaurants. Now the Main subject DHANIA restaurant, A++; 6 Star Restaurant is Very Clean, Nice atmosphere. Food came in reasonable time. If food comes quickly then thats not good for S. Asian food. Cauliflower was fantastic! Samosas were very good! Chatney awesome. Chicken Tikka was great! Biriyani & butter chicken was Excellent! Naan was fine & soft! Not hard or burned as some other places. Since I ordered catering for my congregation from many restaurants in Houston, I became an expert in S. Asian food. Dhania really surpassed my expectations and surprised me in NY. Wish them the best. Keep serving the best food!“

“I googled Indian Restaurants in Brooklyn with good quality food and this was one of three restaurants that popped. I drove across the borough to this one, since I once lived in Bed Stuy. The food was good, the service was good and my wife got her wish for a quiet birthday dinner since the place was not busy on this Tuesday night. Will plan to return in future.“

“This was full stop the kindest service and best spicy butter chicken I've ever had. They also gave us this sauce flight and crispy cracker situation before the meal that was so increadible (not pictured, we devoured, phone could not eat first. Oops). I will dream of this food and it will haunt me until I can return. Super fast service (food in under 15 min) and a clean restroom. Period.“

“I’ve lived in New York my entire life and eaten Indian food all over the city, and Green Chilli on Nostrand in Bed Stuy is serving some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had.
Chef-owner Anis is Bangladeshi and trained under renowned chef Hemant Mathur, and the food speaks for itself. Everything we ordered was exceptional; the standouts were the samosas, hands down some of the best I’ve ever had in my life across any cuisine, and the tandoori shrimp, which was absolutely phenomenal. The quality, care, and attention to detail rival restaurants charging several times as much, yet the prices remain remarkably accessible.
A huge shoutout to our server, Nakib. His warmth, knowledge of the menu, and genuinely welcoming demeanor elevated the entire experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with thoughtful details throughout, from the roses on the tables to the artwork and decor, creating a space that feels both cozy and special. My girlfriend grew up in Houston and, while she’s always been open to Indian food, the rich curry-forward flavor profiles never fully clicked for her. This was the meal that changed that. It was the first time she left an Indian restaurant saying, “Wow, I really do love Indian food.”
Whether you’re an Indian food enthusiast, planning a date night, celebrating a special occasion on a budget, or just looking for a great neighborhood meal, Green Chili delivers. It’s vegetarian-friendly, pescatarian-friendly, carnivore-friendly, and one of those rare spots that’s worth traveling across Brooklyn, or even from another borough, for. Come hungry. Leave extremely satisfied.“

“Can't complain about getting unlimited rice to accompany entrees! I had the tofu jalfrezi here with spinach paratha and it did not disappoint. It's a small operation so service is a bit on the slow side, but the food more than makes up for that. The gentleman serving customers was also kind and professional. Looking forward to my next visit.“

“Food was delicious, one of the best authentic Indian restaurants in Brooklyn. Me and my friend were bored of the typical dinner spots and wanted to give Mumbai Palace a shot, as it’s been on our bucket list for awhile. 10/10 recommended!
Mahi our server was super kind and patient with us, and the ambience was great for a quiet night away from the bustle of most BK foodie spots. Will be back soon!“

“I have been going here since it opened. Friendly staff. Highly recommend the lunch special with generous portions. I recently learned that the small container of onion relish now costs $2–it used to be automatically added to the order. Also, the food in my usual order used to be pleasantly spicy but various items are extremely fiery (happens occasionally with the samosas and most recently with the aloo matar gobi). Took off a star for that but it’s still a solid option!“

“Really great experience here. I ordered the chicken korma with roti and both were spot on. The korma was creamy and flavorful without being too sweet, and the spice level was just right.
The roti came out fresh and warm, soft with a slight crisp to it, perfect for scooping up the sauce. Everything tasted fresh and well made.
Service was friendly and the vibe was relaxed and comfortable. Definitely a place I’d come back to.“

“Stumbled on this place when I was looking for something new to try. The food is incredible and the menu is pretty large - it almost feels impossible to choose what you want without at least a little bit of FOMO. The staff is also so sweet, warm, and generous. 10/10.
Update: came here two days in a row and will probably be back for a third. I ordered the Chili Chicken, Tandoori Lamb, and the Cauliflower. All absolutely amazing, no notes!“

“Delicious dosas - hands down my favorite place to get a thatte idli and masala dosa in New York. Food is flavorful and tastes homemade. The filter kaapi is strong and delicious. Above all, the owners are incredibly kind and warm and make you feel at home! This has become a regular spot for me :)“

“This is our go-to Indian spot in Greenpoint. We always go for a saag paneer, garlic naan and a standard butter chicken or tikka masala. Their Special Chicken Masala is especially good. Best desert is their cottage cheese pudding. Quick service, good portion sizes, and friendly, family owned staff.“

“Solo guy who is very nice handling the hole in the wall Indian restaurant here. Authentic Bangladesh Indian flavors by the chef here, flavorful goat and lamb curry. Restaurant has very limited seating so recommend it's better to call in the order and pick up or have it delivered.“

“Visited with a group of 8 and overall had a great experience. The food was excellent, and our waitress was incredibly kind, attentive, and took the time to explain the menu and answer our questions, which we really appreciated.
The only downside was the drinks. We understand that larger groups can take more time, so we were patient. However, we eventually overheard the person preparing the drinks loudly complaining that he hated making our order because it was “too hard.” Since we speak the same language, we understood everything being said, which was disappointing to hear as customers. Unfortunately, when the drinks finally arrived, they were not very good either.
I would absolutely come back for the food and the wonderful service from our waitress, but if you’re visiting with a larger group, I’d recommend keeping expectations modest when ordering specialty drinks. Hopefully this is something management can address, because the food itself deserves the praise.“

“LOVE this place, the atmosphere is so warm and inviting, nothing flashy, instead there's wood everywhere, American antiques and Indian chachkas on the walls, kinda fun IMHO. The food is among the best Indian I've had. I've tried the lamb korma, with its thick, sweet n savory cashew nut gravy and fork-tender chunks of lamb. The tandoori salmon sizzling platter with spinach is out of this world. Tender juicy salmon kebabs, marinated and cooked on skewers, served over onions on a hot cast iron platter (the onions are still being seared when the platter arrives), with a generous side of spinach. I tasted the chicken chettinad that a friend ordered. He loved it. I found the sauce to be similar to korma but without the sweetness from the chopped fruit that's usually in korma. The tamarind flavor was noticeable. The veggie samosas were very very good, nice lightly crispy crust, nicely spiced. They'll start you off with a complimentary papadam while you make your choices. Prices are very reasonable, and from 12-4 they offer 25% off their reg prices as their lunch special.“

“Ordered pickup to go. Staff was nice. 10/10. Food was piping hot by the time I got home 20ish minutes later. Portion size is good for the price. I wasn’t super familiar with Indian food before I ordered & wanted to try a bunch. I got the chicken tikka masala, lamb handi, veg biryanis, garlic and cheese naan, & paratha plain. Very flavorful. I will order again.
Vegetarian options: Most dishes have veggie option“

“My first time at Wonder was exceptional. Was recommended it by a friend has no idea what I was walking into. Food was exceptional - I got the Tejas Barbecue brisket meal. The place was clean, people were kind. First time here and I’ll definitely bb back.“
“The Uber Eats delivery guy didn't bother checking the name on the food he brought me, so he gave me the wrong person's meal, not even from the same restaurant. I called Elysian and happened to get the owner, who despite no fault of the restaurant, made the meal again and *personally* delivered it to Queens, all free of charge. As a business owner myself I know how helpless it feels when your staff screw up (or when things outside your control go wrong). This one really went above and beyond for a mistake that wasn't even his restaurant's fault. Kudos to him. My friends live nearby and we will go together here soon.“

“We were wanting to try an Indian spot for dinner and chose this one. We had a great time from the second we walked in to the end of our meal. The waitress was so kind and helpful especially since we had our baby daughter with us, with a highchair and asking if we needed anything, helping us order different meals and making sure we had everything we needed. The food was DELICIOUS, all the flavors were there and authentic. The food came out quick and we really enjoyed every meal, especially the garlic naan! We would for sure come again.“
