“Had not expected something like this during my US travel.Paani Puri assortment was many notch better than what we get in Mumbai.Vibes is all Deshi and representation of PAN India taste.Chandrakala Gujia popular sweet dish from Patna ,Bihar was another pleasant surprise.Vegetarian options: It's not just vegetarian but great taste and perfect blend of spices served with warmth. Loved the place and loved the food.“
“Best Birayani & more is your go-to spot for mouthwatering biryani. Their aromatic biryani, whether chicken or lamb, is a must-try. But it's not just about biryani—the butter chicken and paneer tikka masala are equally delicious. With generous portions and friendly service, Best Birayani & more is your ticket to a flavor-packed Indian feast.“
“Very delicious food! We tried a lot of different dishes including vegan options & totally enjoyed it. The customer service was very amazing. The staff made sure all the food was good & even checked in to make sure the food wasn't too spicy for one of my friends. So sweet! Definitely coming back!“
“First time visiting this restaurant and it was great! The owner is a very pleasant, hospitable and a kind guy. Went above and beyond to cater to our needs. Food was very good and the owner, as mentioned, was very accommodating.W restaurant; would go again.“

“I have ordered Vadapav, Dabeli, Bombay grill sandwich, and Punjabi Thali. It is very very delicious. We came from canada to visit our cousin. I never ever find the taste of this Punjabi Thali in Canada. Also Vadapav, Dabeli, and Sandwiches are way way better than Jay Bhavani Vadapav(In Canada). I am highly recommend this place if you are around that place.“
“Very good service and absolutely amazing food! We had the chilli paneer and chilli chicken for appetizers and goat dum biryani, egg dum biryani, pathar ka gosht for entree.Vegetarian options: We had the chili paneer and it was very delicious!“
“Great option for Indian food in the grove street area. However, it’s a 7-8min walk from the train station. Parking is hard to find. But the food compensates for all that. We had two appetizers- Samosa Chat : its at least had 1.5 large crispy samosas in it, appropriate amount of chutney and yogurt- Goat Fry : very flavorful and tender .I am a big fan of sizzlers, so we ordered- Clove garden mix grill : it looked amazing when they brought it out but it was a miss. Some of the meats had dried out by the time we could eat it.For main course we had- Lamb Biryani : meat was tender and incorporated with caramelized onions. It was slightly spicy but very flavorful- Lamb Rogan Josh : lamb was perfectly cooked and the sauce was indulgent- Chettinad Gosht : the chettinad flavor was mild but it went nicely with the Biriyani .- Bread Basket : very generous with their portions . It has 12 pieces of assorted breadsLastly we had desert- Gulab Jamun : it was warm and soft. Appropriately sweet.- Ras Malai : I prefer milk based deserts, I liked it the most- Gajrella : Less sweet than regular .“
“This place has amazing drinks with an Indian touch, and many vegan options. Great atmosphere and service. I recommend this place. Try the Campfire Mule, a delicious adaptation of the Moscow Mule. Island Kuri is too sweet for me, but delicious as well.“
“One of the only hand slaughtered halal restaurants in NYC and nj. Great environment, kind staff and great food. Here in Ramadan and loved it, they provided us with a prayer mat and dates. Slightly on the more expensive side but still 100% worth itDietary restrictions: Halal and hand slaughtered“
“I recently dined here and had an exceptional experience. The whole staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout the evening. A special shoutout goes to Freddy for his outstanding service and for crafting the most delicious mocktails I've ever tasted. Highly recommended.“
“When you're in Jersey City, make sure to check out Southern Spice in India Square – it's a must! The food there is super tasty, and the name "Southern Spice" fits all their dishes perfectly. You've got to try their special Southern Spicy Chicken Biryani – it's amazing. If you go on the weekend, you're in luck! Get the Bagara Rice with Chicken Curry or go for the half plate Mandi – it's enough for two people. Trust me, it's the best choice for a delicious meal in Jersey City.“
“My visit to Bombay Vada House felt like a quick trip from New Jersey to Mumbai. The restaurant's vibrant ambiance and authentic flavors truly capture the essence of the bustling streets of Mumbai. From the crispy Vada Pav to the creamy Palak Paneer with Tawa Roti and the aromatic Egg Biryani, each dish transported us to India's culinary heart. With friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere, Bombay Vada House offers an unforgettable taste of Mumbai right here in New Jersey.“
“Our experience at this lively and charming Pakistani hole-in-the-wall was the cherry on top of my family’s trip to NYC/Jersey City. Our people (desi) tend to be quite introverted, but our friendly and warm server, Charita, helped us feel right at home from the beginning to the end - sharing fun tidbits, and recommending us the tasty Gajar ka halwa as her personal favorite dessert at the end. I wish every server at every restaurant had her energy and zest for people.Among the four people of our party, not even one disagreed with the fact that each and every item was made to perfection. From the Chappali Kabob, to the Karahi, to the kheer which transported my mother back to memories of getting kheer on Bans Road in Karachi every Friday after Jumuah, we had a very lovely and memorable experience.“
“I’ve recently tried this place out twice, and I’m very happy with the food. Aside from great portions, the food is very tasty. For working professionals who are not able to cook on their own, this tiffin service is amazing. $15 gets you the following: 4 Rotis, dal, Sabzi, and rice. Even though they are unable to deliver to my area, I still think that this place is definitely worth it!“
“Went on a hunt for halwa puri, found it at Mehboob-e-elahi. Large portion delicious taste. The aloo was mixed with achar which I’d never seen before. Wow was this place great. Would def recommend and will be returning for my next halwa puri craving with my family. “
“The most authentic Pakistani food I’ve had in Jersey City since I came here. Their goat karahi is amazing and the garlic nans are a must when you’re ordering here. However I would advise to take a look inside the packets for confirmation of the correct order if you’ve decided on a takeout.“
“I had lunch here and the meal was a delight! The staff were very pleasant, and the atmosphere is fast casual. The food was great! I cannot compare to a meal from Hyderabad, but in comparison to other Indian Restaurants I have eaten at I was very impressed.Every bite tasted fresh and flavorful with spices! The heat was perfect for me, but I like some kick to my food. The yogurt sauce was light and refreshing and added the soft flavor to each bite of rice and goat. The Samosa Chaat had tons of flavor, and I loved that it wasn’t overly sweet or heavy. The Chai Tea was again packed with flavor, and they make it so you add your own sugar. I prefer that so it doesn’t taste like you’re drinking sugar.Overall I’m very impressed since this place is not in the heart of JC or even Little India. It’s a very nice gem to the neighborhood.“
“A decent place to dine, the soups here are amazing other than that not a big fan of the kebabs, its like a fine dine on indian street they also have a bar and is one of the few restaurants with bar on the indian street. the service here is also good and the ambience is also a light weight ambience.“
“Five before some guy who manages the restaurant was making really bad food. Since 5 months I am eating food from here and I love the biriyani and all Indian food because New management is now running the restaurant and she cooks awesome food. I would highly recommend anybody to try Daniel KTR Biryani and curry. I love it and is waiting for have the goat curry and biriyani especially.“
“Easily best Pakistani restaurant in the entire NYC metro area. The food has authentic Pakistani flavor, and to my knowledge the only restaurant that serves authentic Karahi. Also the best environment among all Pakistani restaurants in the NYC area. The Sunday brunch is also a must try. Highly recommended!Vegetarian options: Malai Kofta and Daal are excellent.“
“The south indian food is really good out here nothing you will get around nj or ny. The only issue is waiting Sometimes it's really too much you have to wait specifically for rava masala dosa. Thrive i ordered and every time waited almost 25-30 mins. This is the only issueVegetarian options: Lots of options for vegetarianParking: Usually one can get parkingKid-friendliness: Yes its kid friendly place“
“There's something special about dining at Mithaas, and Manager Pooran Sharma is the secret ingredient. His friendly demeanor and personable approach create an inviting atmosphere where guests feel right at home. It's more than just a restaurant; it's a place where you're greeted with a smile and treated like family.“
“Ate breakfast here today - 2 idlies and one Vada. Was glad to find fresh options at 9 am in the morning - Saturday, Feb 10, 2024. Managed to get a parking spot right there!Idlies were decent, vada could've been better. Sambar was hot but a bit too watery and chutneys - one green and one red were 'so-so'.The morning bhajan music on the sound system would've been sorta ok but it was simply way too loud and off putting. The restroom was surprisingly decently clean - got the keys from the quite friendly owner and was much better than I anticipated. There were a bit too many fruit flies flying around and that was not pleasant, of course.Overall... ok option for a hungry dude :-)“
“They recently renewed their place , the atmosphere is really good and have started a bar also now, the food here is very spicy i found it absurdly spicy so be sure of what you order for, the service was also good, maybe i tried a wrong dish but it was really spicyAnd also is a little bit eon the expensive side for the Indian street.“
