“We have gotten take out from here several times and have loved the food. We go here for our Kerala food fix and the flavors are spot on. The food feels homemade and the spices are just right. My personal favorites are the banana leaf fish pollichathu, kerala chicken fry, chicken roast, chicken curry and fish curry with the tapioca. The owners are lovely people too!“

“I remember when this location was actually a cuban sandwich joint, then a pizza place that had nice pizza, then it became Spicy Bytes, my girlfriend and I were always so curious about this place but due to the odd weekday hours we never were able to tell if they were open. It was one day a week or two ago that I was walking around with my girlfriend where she suggested we try this place out since we noticed it was opened! Upon entering a young woman welcomed us warmly and showed us the menu, and took a seat. We ordered a Butter Chicken Curry to share and two orders of garlic naan bread, and got the curry at a medium spice level since my girlfriend can't handle spicy stuff at all, and she ADORED IT!

Upon taking her first bite of the butter chicken my girlfriends eyes lit up and widened, it was also her first time trying Indian food so I could tell she was very much hooked. We enjoyed our meal and were asked by the young lady if we needed anything else through out our meal, which I really appreciated. After eating we were both very satisfied and definitely plan on coming back for more. I am surprised they haven't done much with the interior since the last place since it still very much feels like the previous pizza place, but it honestly didn't bother me as this places food is something you should not miss :)“

The owner/manager/chef Vinay Kalee was not only attentive to our needs but his recommendations were outstanding. The appetizer, Bhel Poori, (A melange of crisp rice puffs with tangy chutney) was not ordered but was served complimentary and it was delicious, highly recommend. Do bring a bottle of wine, it is a byob. I forgot to bring a bottle but luckily, J & J Pharmacy is right down the block and they do sell some wine. We ordered Tandoori Kulcha Onion bread, Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Korma..all of which were delicious. This was our first time at Rudra Indian Bistro but it won't be our last, it will now be our favorite, go to, Indian Restaurant. And for those days we don't want to leave the house, they deliver. “This cute little "hole in the wall" is truly a hidden gem! While in reality, it's no hole in the wall at all. You actually feel like you're in a small shop in India when dining-in with the colorful decorations, background music and overall setup of the restaurant. Not to mention the food, which was absolutely amazing! Very tasteful chaat and small dishes, each with it's own little twist. I got:

-masala chai
-mango lassi
-Chinese Frankie (get it on a paratha)
-Chili Cheese Corn Grilled Sandwich
-to top it off, get their Chocolate Pan - it was bomb!

EVERYTHING was 10/10. I loved the food so much, I get went again the next day.

“The only restaurant we dine at in India Square! Literally here at least twice per month, and always our first choice when we want to stay in and order online. The food always comes out on time and delicious. We always get the special chicken biryani and chicken tandoori and they always come out flavourful and juicy. We’ve had their naans before too and they were also exceptional. I have noticed recently though that the food sometimes doesn’t come out hot.

My husband and I are introverts and we really appreciate the chill and relaxed service we receive. Not too pushy or hover-y, just comfortable. I also really love the vibe here! I absolutely LOVE that they show Bollywood on their TV! I don’t understand a thing, but it’s such a nice touch it makes the restaurant feel homey and local. A LOT of locals dine here too and the restaurant is never empty, if not full, so I think that speaks a lot about their food.

Overall, we love Southern Spice! Absolutely have been recommending to our friends, and now to all of Google!“

“Little India is my new go-to for Indian food! The flavors are incredible—each dish is packed with authentic spices and tastes amazing. The Chicken Biryani is my favorite; it's perfectly spiced and the chicken is so tender. The naan is always warm and fluffy and delicious.

“Mausam is one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. It is a small intimate place, which may not get a lot of attention, but the food is terrific and better than almost all of the big fancy places in Northern NJ. Been coming here for YEARS and this place is always consistent which is hard to find in some restaurants.
