The lamb is real lamb not that bs gyro meat.. these are actual cuts of lamb and delicious chicken. These would be delicious over some rice but I’m keto so I went salad. “Visited with a group of 8 and overall had a great experience. The food was excellent, and our waitress was incredibly kind, attentive, and took the time to explain the menu and answer our questions, which we really appreciated.

The only downside was the drinks. We understand that larger groups can take more time, so we were patient. However, we eventually overheard the person preparing the drinks loudly complaining that he hated making our order because it was “too hard.” Since we speak the same language, we understood everything being said, which was disappointing to hear as customers. Unfortunately, when the drinks finally arrived, they were not very good either.

I would absolutely come back for the food and the wonderful service from our waitress, but if you’re visiting with a larger group, I’d recommend keeping expectations modest when ordering specialty drinks. Hopefully this is something management can address, because the food itself deserves the praise.“

“The food here is unbelievably delicious. We have tried all the panipuri spots around the street on the same day. Desi adda was the best. Their vadapav and secret menu items is another thing you have to try. They make everything from scratch fresh.

The service is one of the best ever. They care for the customer and their opinions.

They recently started Paan. What a treat that is… you have not had paan till you try their different types of paans.

“Really good Indian restaurant right off of Grove street. The inside is more spacious than you would think, and there’s a bar section, and then a nice outdoor seating area. The chicken biryani was delicious- the chicken was tender and the rice was super flavorful and a bit spicy, and it came with a nice yogurt sauce. The chicken tikka masala was also good but the curry was a bit thicker and chunkier than what I am used to. The naan was fluffy and soft, and the roti was also great although I just personally prefer naan. They serve a good portion and everything is priced fairly- I will definitely return!“

“Inday is one of several eateries in the restaurant pavilion of a busy NYC office building and tourist location. I’ve worked in this building several times a month over the past 2 years, and worked my way through all of the food offerings. A few of them are quite good, but none have captivated me like Inday. For the past few months, for workday lunch I simply don’t want to eat anywhere else.

They’ve got a great menu, although I’ve personally settled on their Golden Chicken Curry! The vegetables are consistently fresh, the sauce is absolute perfection, and I love the way the chicken is prepared. The atmosphere is perfected suited to situations where you and a couple of colleagues want to grab a bite and talk over something outside of the office. It’s cafeteria style seating - with about a dozen 4-person tables, with enough space between them to maintain privacy - which again is perfectly suited to office workers and tourists in a hurry to grab a bite and catch a ferry to the several tourist destinations at the southern tip of Manhattan.

Finally I want to mention the staff. Fast, friendly, and non-intrusive - and, unlike the sometimes sullen “New York attitude” staff of the larger franchises - they always seem happy to see you.“

“We popped in last night without a booking, before our movie viewing. The staff were so accomodating and friendly! The restaurant is candle lit and cozy, with quiet, ambient music. I often struggle with sound levels in busy restaurants, but I found the lighting and the sound level were really really pleasant. We ordered, and our starter was in front of us really quickly.

The food was delicious. Complex and rich flavours. Chicken tikka BBQ was so juicy and fresh. The lamb pasanda was the star of the show, even the gravy was mouth watering. The daal, in comparison, was a little bland, we might try a different vegetarian curry next time. The naan are HUGE, fluffy and authentic. Definitely share one between two. The challenge of the lassi was not drinking it in one go, it was so yummy.“

We started with The Veggie Sampler which was compromised of a Veggie samosa ( Stuffed crispy triangle pastry stufffed with potatoes and peas), Veggie Pakoras (Crisp veggies lightly battered in a chick pea flour and seasoning mix) and a Veggie Tikkis (Lightly breaded veggie cutlets seasoned with herbs and spices, served with mango chutney.) The serving size was decent and realized if we ate everything on the plate than we would be full and would have no room for the main course. The appatizers were delicious and a great way to prepare for lunch. Indian Food is usually always a hit for us due to the large vegertain options that are available to her as well as the non vegetarian options for me. Plenty of great choices to pick from making the decision difficult. I ordered Chicken Vindaloo (Chicken and potatoes in a spicy vindaloo sauce) When ordering, the waiter ensured I was ready for the heat from spice ranking it a 10 of 10. Will admit I love hot foods, and was apprehensive with his warnings but pushed forward. While the food was definitely spicey, not sure if I would rank as a 10 of 10 being some Indian dishes have been insanely hot. All in all, the meal was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My daughter ordered the Paneer Kashmiri (Cheese cubes and veggies in a mild saffron korma sauce) and was thoroughly satisfied. Both entrees were served with Basmati Rice and Dal. While not needed , we also order Garlic Nan which was incredibly delicious. The Nan was even better when dipped in the savory sauces that our meal came in. As you can imagine, there was so much food that we both took some home that made for another meal. Overall, we were both super satisfied and left stuffed. Definitely a great location that we plan to return to. The location was perfect and was a short walk from Stevens.
