“I've been here a few times with my fellow colleagues and friends, and each time we're treated kindly. Recently, I took a few work acquaintances here, and they had nooooo idea what Indian food even was, let alone what to expect. Our waiter was gracious and took care to help each one understand what was in the food and worked with our gluten free member to make sure she had food to eat. The food was amazing, as it always is, and everyone was blown away.Don't hesitate to stop in, they know what they're doing here and it shows! The lunch special is incredibly reasonable and very delish as well if you need a fast yet delicious lunch.“

The packaging was satisfactory, but there was room for improvement in terms of presentation and taste. “Ordered takeout:Chicken Biryani4/5. The marinade on the chicken was incredible. Perfectly seasoned and chicken also so tender, well cooked, and well-portioned. The chicken component itself deserves a 5/5. The rice however, also good, but personally, I like when the marinade has merged uniformly, or when the rice has been evenly coated with the saffron water/turmeric or whatever flavor and color blend is used. The rice was also on the greasier side. Therefore for personal preference reasons, the rice was a 3/5 for. The chicken was the star indeed, and the spice level was also magnificent. Hence a 4/5.To note, two other people whose opinions I tryst give the biryani an overall 5/5. So it's still pretty good to say the least.Chicken 65This was a 5/5 dish. “Great option for Indian food in the grove street area. However, it’s a 7-8min walk from the train station. Parking is hard to find. But the food compensates for all that. We had two appetizers- Samosa Chat : its at least had 1.5 large crispy samosas in it, appropriate amount of chutney and yogurt- Goat Fry : very flavorful and tender .I am a big fan of sizzlers, so we ordered- Clove garden mix grill : it looked amazing when they brought it out but it was a miss. Some of the meats had dried out by the time we could eat it.For main course we had- Lamb Biryani : meat was tender and incorporated with caramelized onions. It was slightly spicy but very flavorful- Lamb Rogan Josh : lamb was perfectly cooked and the sauce was indulgent- Chettinad Gosht : the chettinad flavor was mild but it went nicely with the Biriyani .- Bread Basket : very generous with their portions . It has 12 pieces of assorted breadsLastly we had desert- Gulab Jamun : it was warm and soft. Appropriately sweet.- Ras Malai : I prefer milk based deserts, I liked it the most- Gajrella : Less sweet than regular .“

I had heard of Indian inspired burgers and fried chicken before in Manhattan, so we decided to try this place out.\\n\\nThe place has 1 table by the window, then a bar with some chairs along the counter, and finally an area with several more tables.\\n\\nYou order at the counter, they'll ask your name, so I thought it was self pick-up, but in our case they brought the food to us.\\n\\nWe weren't sure what sauce to use on the chicken wings so we asked about the masala and the walla, as those two sounded the most special/distinct. They let us taste the sauces and we went with the walla, it's super good!\\n\\nThey didn't take long to prepare our lamb burger, beef burger (medium cooked ?) and our chicken wings, along with a side order of fries and a side order of sweet potato tots.\\n\\nThe burgers were delicious, juicy but not too messy, with a very nicely cooked thin patty full of flavor. “Fancy Indian dining in JC. This restaurant has a nice ambiance and great food. They give you papad and tomato soup shots. The soup was delicious! We had the chicken kheema pav which was really good and resembled pav bhaji. Very unique dish. Chicken tikka masala was pretty standard. Drinks were great! I would give it 5 stars but the service was slow. Our appetizer and entree came out together and pretty late into our seating.“

“Ordered via UberEats on a Thursday at around 7. There was a promotion for BOGO free on certain items. So I ordered 2 chicken kadai (each comes with a rice) and 2 egg biryani, and an order of samosas. I've never tried either of the dishes but figured why not? It's BOGO and I can expand my palette on Indian food. I really liked the chicken kadai. The chicken was nice and tender, and the sauce was the perfect amount of spicy. The egg biryani was just okay - basically just seasoned rice with hard boiled egg. I probably wouldn't get this again. Samosas were pretty standard.The portions are big. We had SO much food that we had to eat this across 4 meals. Needless to say, we were pretty tired of eating it by the end. I probably wouldn't do the BOGO option again, but I would like to dine in and try some other dishes fresh.“

“You find great food in unassuming places.Bornali cafe's malai chop sweet is one of the best Bangladeshi mishti I have had in a long time. I am not a fan of overly sweet desserts. Their malai chop has the right combination of sweetness which complements milky syrup it is drenched. Imagine the most delicious chana has a love child with the rasmalai of your dream that is his I would describe the malai chop. I would visit that place again only for that. The other items that we ordered also exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend if you are in Patterson area. The owner was also very nice and accommodating. “The most authentic Pakistani food I’ve had in Jersey City since I came here. Their goat karahi is amazing and the garlic nans are a must when you’re ordering here. However I would advise to take a look inside the packets for confirmation of the correct order if you’ve decided on a takeout.“

“This truck is right in the NJIT campus. You can find it by the long lines next to the truck. The lamb (gyro meat) over rice is very good, it tastes like it was homemade and not the generic factory ones. The long grain basmati is a standout and sets itself apart from the other trucks. The white sauce is a bit heavy like it was just Mayo thinned out with water. Also the hot pepper flakes is not spicy at all. Also I don't think they have the usual Halal truck hot sauce since he never puts any in when I order which is a missed opportunity since I love spicy foods.“

“We just had take-out from Downtown Dhaba, this is not our first visit, but we had not been in a while, most of our choices were good, Garlic naan, papadum, chicken vindaloo, tamarind chicken and aloo gobi , we did not enjoy the spicy mango pickle, very salty, inedible, whatever solid pieces in there were very hard and impossible to chew as if it was all peel, I will not order this again.I also find it's on the pricey side.“
