“First time I had Indian food was a few years ago in NC, and I was NOT impressed. We were up visiting my sister in Ridgewood and we went out for fathers day dinner at Tabla. We ordered a bunch of different appetizers and entrees and we shared them all. I was absolutely impressed. I totally enjoyed EVERY item. I especially liked the curry fish with coconut milk. The service was exceptional and very friendly, it was an entirely enjoyable experience. I heartily recommend this Indian Restaurant in Ridgewood, NJ.“

“I remember when this location was actually a cuban sandwich joint, then a pizza place that had nice pizza, then it became Spicy Bytes, my girlfriend and I were always so curious about this place but due to the odd weekday hours we never were able to tell if they were open. It was one day a week or two ago that I was walking around with my girlfriend where she suggested we try this place out since we noticed it was opened! Upon entering a young woman welcomed us warmly and showed us the menu, and took a seat. We ordered a Butter Chicken Curry to share and two orders of garlic naan bread, and got the curry at a medium spice level since my girlfriend can't handle spicy stuff at all, and she ADORED IT!

Upon taking her first bite of the butter chicken my girlfriends eyes lit up and widened, it was also her first time trying Indian food so I could tell she was very much hooked. We enjoyed our meal and were asked by the young lady if we needed anything else through out our meal, which I really appreciated. After eating we were both very satisfied and definitely plan on coming back for more. I am surprised they haven't done much with the interior since the last place since it still very much feels like the previous pizza place, but it honestly didn't bother me as this places food is something you should not miss :)“

The owner/manager/chef Vinay Kalee was not only attentive to our needs but his recommendations were outstanding. The appetizer, Bhel Poori, (A melange of crisp rice puffs with tangy chutney) was not ordered but was served complimentary and it was delicious, highly recommend. Do bring a bottle of wine, it is a byob. I forgot to bring a bottle but luckily, J & J Pharmacy is right down the block and they do sell some wine. We ordered Tandoori Kulcha Onion bread, Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Korma..all of which were delicious. This was our first time at Rudra Indian Bistro but it won't be our last, it will now be our favorite, go to, Indian Restaurant. And for those days we don't want to leave the house, they deliver. “Finally Found the Perfect Hyderabadi Biryani!

After searching high and low for the perfect Hyderabadi biryani in New Jersey, my quest is finally over! I discovered MANJAL in Fair Lawn, and it exceeded all my expectations. The biryani brought back memories of the delicious meals I enjoyed back in Hyderabad.

After numerous disappointments from other restaurants, this was a breath of fresh air. The service was polite and attentive, which added to the overall experience. I also tried the Gobi Manchurian and masala dosa, both of which were incredibly flavorful.

Thank you for keeping the authentic taste alive! I’ll definitely be returning. Keep up the great work!

“The vegetable platter was delicious, we ordered four different curries, two vegetarian and two regular ones. The mixed vegetable curry was okay, the string bean flavor was too prominent. The baingan bharta, chicken curry, and mango curry chicken was pretty good, but be warned the spicy is quite spicy. We also order mango juice and lassi, which were both very refreshing.

“I usually go to Dosa and Biryani House for their idlis, vadas, dosas and biryanis. They're all fantastic, however, today I'm reviewing a meal via take-out (UberEats).

In my pictures, you can see all of the following highly recommendable dishes:

“Their food is good, not all but some of them. Atmosphere is not suitable enough I think to seat and eat because some people always seat there and try to speak political talk. Most of the Bengali people I talked they preferred just to take the food not seat.“
