“I brought my girlfriend to experience Indian food for the first time and this was the best spot ever! I have eaten in countless Indian restaurants and this one was by far the best in every category! Ramya, our server was so wonderful. She made recommendations and gave explanations of each item and directions on how to eat them using all the chutneys and dosas. All the dishes were delicious and fresh. The restaurant was warm and inviting! I will be back again and again with friends and family.“

“First time I had Indian food was a few years ago in NC, and I was NOT impressed. We were up visiting my sister in Ridgewood and we went out for fathers day dinner at Tabla. We ordered a bunch of different appetizers and entrees and we shared them all. I was absolutely impressed. I totally enjoyed EVERY item. I especially liked the curry fish with coconut milk. The service was exceptional and very friendly, it was an entirely enjoyable experience. I heartily recommend this Indian Restaurant in Ridgewood, NJ.“

“We got food delivered for a group of 30. Food was delivered on time and IT WAS DELICIOUS. We got both Veg and non veg items which included Sundal, Paneer Biriyani, Chicken Sukka, Gobi manchurian and Mango malai. “I ordered mild. MILD. And yet my taste buds were personally visited by the ghost of every spice in existence. Was it spicy? A little. Did I care? Absolutely not, because the lamb biryani was so good I had to sit quietly for a moment and reflect on my life choices.

The butter chicken was silky, rich, and deeply unfair to every other butter chicken I’ve ever had. The garlic naan showed up like it had something to prove — and it did. I ate way too many pieces and I would do it again without hesitation.

The mango lassi was the cooldown I didn’t deserve but desperately needed.

Truly delicious is an understatement! As for dessert, I can't recall what the exact name is but it's a lentil based pudding and omg, pure heaven! Food is excellent. Reminds me of Bangladesh town in the Bronx. Vegetable samosa (singhara) needs some salt. Chicken patty (puff) needs more filling (hardly 2 small pieces of chicken in them. Chicken biryani was delicious. Tandoori chicken was good as well. None of them were served with condiments (sad). The best of all is the Chai, it was spot on.

Upon arrival the cashier didn't greet or welcome, however, the server was welcoming. The server was able to speak in English and Hindi which was nice. He was patient and answered all the questions. On purpose I asked the server to pack different things randomly to see his service and he was impeccable. Good customer service.

Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The restaurant is in a sketchy area, not the best of places, however, the restaurant/bakery captured the essence of the area and brought beauty to it. The ambience is very south Asian and reads the area well. Music and clearly labeled menu items with prices would help.“
