“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.”

I needed the restroom right away, and the bartender, Orlando, kindly escorted me to it, making me feel so welcomed. Once we were seated, the food started arriving, and I was blown away. The chef here is absolutely amazing. Her dishes are not only delicious but also incredibly well-prepared. The unique flavor combinations and creativity are outstanding. Well, look no more for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Great rustic look, comfy seating with back support, loads of outlets for laptops, and the second-floor space are super cute and cozy too. Oh and there's a small little outside area that's pretty cool as well. Shaquille (hope I spelled it right) was AMAZING! So down-to-earth, friendly, polite, and easy to talk to. She made me the Tumeric latte for me and I all but licked the cup clean. I had the hummus & cucumber on sourdough toast and it was divine. Also, a great option for vegans. I totally recommend this place if you have similar needs or just want to hang out with some friends. I will surely be going back.”

“We ordered a pretty large takeout order and the food was incredible! My Dominican and Mexican parents can be really picky so we were really nervous. They loved the Moro and yucca in particular. All the meats were really good and our favorite was the pork and ropa vieja. The only thing (not well pictured) we weren’t a fan of was the tamale but one thing out of so much hardly bothered us. Stuffed avocados with shrimp ceviche will be something I always remember. Delivered with care and I’m sure we will order in the future again.”

“We came on a Sunday morning and there wasn't a line. The bakery is a little stand on Palisade Ave. We ordered the bombolonis and the mozarella/prosciutto sandwich.

The bombolonis were some of the best I've ever had (even compared to the ones in Italy) - they were fresh and the vanilla pastry cream wasn't too sweet but still felt indulgent. The donut was so airy and soft. The sandwich wasn't anything to brag about, it was underwhelming unfortunately. The mozzarella was very mild but the flatbread was good; the sandwich was definitely overpriced for what it was. Wish we tried other things on the menu but was in a pinch. I will definitely be back to try the focaccia and pizza options.

Also note that there is hardly any street parking options so be sure to plan ahead! They also have various Italian products for sale such as jarred sauces and dried pasta.”

We were relieved when they announced they were opening up in a much more appropriate and highly upgraded venue. This was perfect timing for us to celebrate our 9 year anniversary here. Upon arriving the inside captures the comfort and style of the Livingston location and then improves upon it with the beautiful outside seating area. Now onto the food which is just as good if not better than the original location im glad to see the quality has remained consistent. My steak was cooked to perfection and my wifes pasta dish was packed with quality flavor. The drink menu was definitely brought to the next level as well everything seemed like it was fine tuned and everything we tried was on point and had its own unique delicious flavor profile. Andy behind the bar was very knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to talk to about the different cocktails. For dessert we shared the tiramisu which was great it wasn't youre traditional kind but we loved the spin they put on it with the cake and ice-cream. Lastly for service Jonathan took amazing care of us and made our special day very memorable along with the rest of the staff. Everyone that came by the table was professional and had a smile on their face. They all seemed happy and took pride in their work which was nice to see. “Okay so Call Me Mia is exactly the kind of place you stumble into once and then spend the next week telling everyone about. The vibe is cozy without even trying, it feels lived in, like someone actually thought about how people would feel sitting there, not just how it would look. I went in for coffee with my service dog and ended up staying way longer than I planned. The energy is just so welcoming and unpretentious. No rush, no noise, just good music at the right volume and a space that makes you want to open your notes app and write something. The food and drinks? genuinely obsessed. Everything tasted intentional, nothing felt like an afterthought. Call Me Mia is a vibe and a half. If you need a place to think, catch up with someone, or just exist quietly for a little while, this is it.

“I recently bought the Earl Grey Tea and Berry Cornbread at my local Kroger store and was blown away! The richness and the flavor profiles were out of this world, especially the latter flavor of the two. It’s dangerous to know the Kroger store is only five minutes from my house. The La Exotica and La Consentida are my favorite menu items right now, but the tacos are also really good. I still need to try a lot of other things on the menu. The manager, the chef and the entire team are amazing people, super friendly and hard working. The kitchen, which is open to the dining area, is always immaculate. It reminds me of the really good hole in the wall restaurants I used to go to when I lived in Astoria, Queens. I cannot say enough good things about this spot... “This breakfast spot is a hidden gem! The fresh orange juice tasted natural and refreshing. The coffee was rich and smooth. The sandwich was perfectly made and very satisfying. And the Dubai chocolate crepe? Simply the best! So creamy, chocolatey, and beautifully prepared. I will definitely come back again.”

“Absolutely loved the experience at South of the Clouds! If you’re looking for something beyond typical Chinese food, this place brings authentic Yunnan flavors that are truly unique.

We tried the Yunnan fried stuffed tofu, which was perfectly crispy outside and soft inside, packed with flavor. The traditional Kunming braised noodles were comforting and rich—definitely a must-have. The black truffle fried rice was next-level, super aromatic and indulgent.

The chicken stir-fried noodles were flavorful and well-balanced, and to finish, the fresh coconut cream was refreshing and light—perfect ending to the meal.

The ambiance is cozy and modern, and the service was quick and friendly. Overall, a hidden gem in Jersey City for authentic Chinese cuisine with a twist. Highly recommend!”

“We absolutely love ordering breakfast catering from this small business for our team. Everything we’ve tried has been fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. Our office especially loves the croissant egg sandwiches with pork roll, they are always a huge favorite and disappear so fast. The hashbrowns are also amazing, perfectly cooked, crispy, flavorful, and the perfect side to round everything out.

What really stands out is how consistently great everything is. Every order has been reliable, tasty, and such a hit with our team, which makes breakfast meetings and office mornings so much better. “Bottom line: 5 stars all the way! If we were local, we would be regulars. Will visit again when we are in the area!! We visited May 9th after a 10 hour drive. We came across this restaurant on the GPS and decided to stop in for breakfast before continuing our trip. I am so glad we did! It was just what we needed to continue on. Not only were the food and drinks delicious but the customer service was top tier! I wish we got the name of the individual who served us. I believe she was the owner. She took time to speak with us, made suggestions on what we could order (my husband loved the big Johnston breakfast), engaged with my toddler with kindness and playfulness which was so helpful after a long drive. We were so grateful for her. The service was above and beyond. She even helped us with parking suggestion which was confusing for us as we were out of town. Loved how she engaged with the other customers and her regulars. You could definitely tell that the customer service we experienced was not a one-off experience. If you are reading this, thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality!”

“Smash City is actually really good. The burgers are fresh, juicy, and full of flavor with that perfect crispy edge. You can really taste the difference. The fries and fudge chocolate brownie are solid too, not just thrown together. The vibe is nice and the place is really clean, which makes it even better. The menu is simple but everything tastes fresh. I’d definitely go back.”

“I stopped by about an hour before closing, and even then, the employee was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. I never felt rushed at all, which I really appreciated. The food was just as impressive. I got the 20pc chicken wings and the chicken was perfectly cooked. It was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and they were very generous with the sauce. The Cajun waffle fries were also so good, packed with flavor and definitely a must try. The only small downside was that it was a little on the salty side, but honestly, everything else was so great that it didn’t take away from the experience. Definitely will be coming back”
