“March 2024:We went here a 2nd time for dinner. This time on the weekend. The restaurant was full. It was hectic. Unfortunately also with the service. This time the stress was clearly noticeable. The dishes were no longer always explained beautifully. That's a real shame, especially when it comes to the chef's work. You would have to take this time because it is not exactly standard sushi. The creations require explanation to be fully enjoyed. You didn't notice anything about the quality of the food. These were still at the highest level. My recommendation: one to two more people in service or otherwise accept fewer reservations. The noise level was also unpleasantly high because of all the people. That's why now only 4 instead of 5 stars.September 2023We were here for dinner. I recommend a reservation. We had the sushi and handroll menu. The quality of the sushi I selected was the best I have ever had, and I have been to many Japanese restaurants, including Masa in NYC. The quality was excellent and even with the small toppings, which fit perfectly, it was a really great experience. It was so good that we ordered some more sushi instead of dessert. The service was attentive. There is also a good selection of sake and Japanese beers here.”
“In the wind swept streets of Jersey City there exists a small brick born eatery where fresh squeezed orange juice flows, the sausage patties are savory, and the croissants are flaky and fresh. The ambrosia delivered up by the nymphs who run this Olympus is heavenly indeed. So take a moment from your monotonous drive or your daily drudgery and stop by and take a seat atop this charming rest stop of life.Hold hands with your partner. Drink in the infectious grooves playing. Breathe deep, and long, and full your body with a truly godly meal.”

Razza
“Razza is a very good and delicious pizza spot in Jersey City. I visited with 2 friends on a Saturday night (got there at 5.55pm), we had no reservation, left our name down and we got a seat and 15min later.Pizza was so so good eapecially La Rossa with burrata, Yellow margherita and the special pie of the day with spinach.Cool vibe, they were very busy. No delivery expect for an hour or so right after they open.I will definitely go back and recommend this place.”
“They recently renewed their place , the atmosphere is really good and have started a bar also now, the food here is very spicy i found it absurdly spicy so be sure of what you order for, the service was also good, maybe i tried a wrong dish but it was really spicyAnd also is a little bit eon the expensive side for the Indian street.”

Corto
“Was a cute charming restaurant. I liked that the dishes changed. The food was good, I loved the spaghetti with locally grown mushrooms. My guest were not such a fan of their dishes, the ravioli was good but felt a little bland according them. The braised lamb shank was tender, but the flavors didn’t wow them. The dessert ware delicious, I would come back for that.Again I’m glad their menu changes seasonally so you have a reason to come back.”

dullboy
“I love this place so, so much. The food is always consistently great, except for the one time one dish was a little overcooked and the bartender/wait staff surreptitiously removed it from our bill when my date and I had only a softly spoken conversation with each other about it (great service). The cocktails are great, too, like really great. The back heated/covered patio is super cute. There are about six really great bar/restaurants I've discovered in JC, and Dullboy is near the top of that last.”
“Nice atmosphere and good service! Tteokbokki was too salty and the flavor was just alright. Minari pancake and bulgogi cream perilla pasta were good. Pine nut salad and grilled branzino risotto were great. Sweet potato cake dessert was okay.”
“A gem in the neighbourhood. A friend and I were visiting Jersey City from South Africa and NDP was just down the road from our B&B. We had the most wonderful dinner there, with James, the owner explaining how he and his wife started the little restaurant. The food was exceptional and we were able to order a bottle of wine from a winery close by, which was delivered in minutes. Absolutely worth a visit!”

“Update from last review- Unfortunately the service has been pretty bad. Service to me is a big part of the overall experience dining out. I have returned several times to give it a chance since the food is good. We always get one particular server Eli who is absolutely terrible and can use customer service training. To get a hello or even a smile is a stretch but worse forgets to bring out the food and by the time he does it’s cold. Today is the last time I’m will be coming here… hopefully the owner will put more attention to the service. Unfortunately, such a beautiful place but you will continue to loose customers if the service doesn’t improve.Old review—-An amazing spot! Vegan or not… you will enjoy! From the ambiance, energy, service and of course food!! James was such a great hosts… so welcoming. Went for brunch and can’t wait to try their dinner options. I’m vegan and it can be challenging finding a good restaurant. I don’t do reviews but had to for this restaurant.. what a gem!”

“Had not expected something like this during my US travel.Paani Puri assortment was many notch better than what we get in Mumbai.Vibes is all Deshi and representation of PAN India taste.Chandrakala Gujia popular sweet dish from Patna ,Bihar was another pleasant surprise.Vegetarian options: It's not just vegetarian but great taste and perfect blend of spices served with warmth. Loved the place and loved the food.”

“Easily 10/10 and one of my new favorites. Having recently discovered a gluten intolerance, it's been difficult finding locations that can accommodate me! However, wisp went above & beyond to explain the menu items to me, offered substitutions of rolls to make it GF friendly, and even labeled all of the GF items (including GF soy sauce that I did not even know existed)!”
“This coffee shop is fantastic. The salmon toast and the Belgian avocado egg and cheese were incredibly flavorful, showcasing the freshness of their ingredients. The standout, however, was the coffee, particularly the original French Toast Latte, a must-try. Despite the chilly weather today, the indoor seating area was bustling, but luckily, the friendly and attentive staff made sure everyone felt welcome and well taken care of. Plus, the convenience of credit card acceptance adds to the overall positive experience.”

“When I find a gem, I share it! Yes, yes, yes! Hallelujah to good food! We were trying to find some tacos to eat before going home and I came across a little taco truck that I had to try! They have the pastor tacos in the traditional rotating-roster, and they were delish! I also had an elote ? with everything, and a tiny bit of the powder-picante was enough for me to get a kick of spice in my mouth that turned on all the right taste buds! The lady who took care of us was polite, fast, and so kind! I will definitely be back to try the other tacos they have!!”
“Great experience at Madame for dinner with another couple. Martin on the staff was exceptionally good, very attentive and incredibly cordial. Every course was delicious. Although, the chocolate creme brulee made for a great finish to the meal.”
“*AMAZING* WOW! My experience here at Harry’s Daughter was one to remember. From the ambience to the attentiveness of our waiter Gregory, I wouldn’t have asked for a better night. Gregory was not just a waiter, he became such a great host for our table! The food!!!! Oh my goodness! The Jerk Salmon was cooked to perfection and don’t get me started on the Jerk Egg Rolls! Clearly I’m a fan and will return!!! You HAVE to visit Harry’s Daughter!!!”
“I love a down to Earth spot that's serving good things and serving it with a smile. Not too many places leave you feel uplifted when you leave, but this is one place that does that indeed.”
“Delicious food !!Never disappointed dining in or having take outHappened to stumble on this restaurantBest stumble ever!!!!Parking: Street parkingBut worth cicrling around for the mouth watering food”

Sushi By Bou
“Great experience. The sushi was fresh and inventive. But be warned. You only have 60 min to dine, even if you order the bougie experience. We barely had enough time to finish our meal and no time to order any additional pieces.”

Rumba Cubana
“The avocado ceviche appetizer is incredible. So is the shrimp mofongo, cheesesteaks, and enchilado de camarones. Most importantly, the staff treats you like family from the moment you step into this beautiful restaurant.”

“Isabella and Alfredo created a very unique establishment where its patrons will feel the vibe of visiting a friend's house for dinner rather than a restaurant. The ambiance is very eclectic, cozy and welcoming. You can tell the decor was hand picked by the owners and each individual piece tells a story, including the name which the owners were kind enough to share with us. Isabella's menu delivers Hungariarian flavor with a touch of Balkan spin, creating a rare feast for your tastebuds. The dishes are mouth watering, well cooked and flavorful. Many thanks to my fellow fine watch connoisseur, who's name I cant remember, my appologies. We really enjoyed our time there, the food and the friendliness of the owners are second to none!”

“I took one of my friends to this place today and it was really great. The view, the food, the service, and ambience. Little disappointing that I didn't get the outdoor sitting because of cold weather but the view from the restaurant was really awesome.Must try dessert: Pistachio Tiramisu”
“Ko Cafe is an absolute gem in our neighborhood! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warmth and the enticing aroma of freshly brewed coffee. As a black-owned establishment, it's wonderful to see Isreal and his team infuse such vibrancy into our community. The ambiance is cozy and the coffee is top-notch. Highly recommend supporting this fantastic cafe!”
“Accommodating, polite, overall greatVibes.Drinks were made to perfection.Food was amazing! Wild salmon, zucchini / squash dinner, Brussels sprouts…. All highly recommended.Looking forward to going back !”
“Ahh! Such a beautiful date night at Cellar 335. Advance reservations are necessary to ensure that you get a table. We went on a Saturday night and the place was packed. The restaurant is in the basement and has a speakeasy vibe to it.The food and the drinks were unique and delicious. For food, we tried the avocado fried rice (customized without egg), the crispy tofu bao buns and the spicy cornbread - the portion sizes were great too. For drinks we had Shipwrecked (the best!), Pole star and a spicy drink. They did not have many of the cocktails on the menu so best check with them before you decide on one. Definitely ask for the dessert menu - we tried the passion fruit panna cotta and it was the best way to end the meal! Our hostess, Alli was very nice and friendly. This restaurant is expensive, but definitely worth a visit for the lovely ambience and the great food/drinks.Vegetarian options: There are some great vegetarian options available and a few others can be customised and be made vegetarian.”
“Very nice place. I had the black bean burger with fries on the side and it was delicious. Interesting cocktail menu and I tried a smoked gin based cocktail which was very good. Great service! Would totally come back ??”
“An absolute Jersey City GEM! We did the Omakase and it did not disappoint! The chef was super creative and was very fun to interact with. Would definitely go again on non special occasions since it's so affordable!”
“Had dinner at Korai Kitchen on a Saturday. It is a BYOB place, so feel free to bring your own wine. It was a lovely experience overall. However, there are nuances. First off, it was a dinner date for me (an overwhelming majority of people dininig were on dates). Starting with a dingy, dim-lit neighborhood of Journal Square, to a very spartan vibe of the restaurant, it was falling short of a proper date experience. The food was delicious, definitely one of the best comfort foods I have ever eaten. At the same time, at the price point of close to 100 dollars per person without alcohol, if you factor in tax and tip, I was expecting more.”
“I love White Star! I have been here quite a few times to grab drinks or get dinner. My all-time favorite and repeat order is their vegetarian burger, salad and fries! It’s so delicious!! You cannot miss it! Highly recommend this place if you’re in the neighborhood.”
“This place never fails! Their food is out of this world and their service is on point. We’ve been here 3 times total and each time we get so excited about what we are going to order and the new items in the menu. This place is great for date night or a night out with friends. Highly recommend the lasagna fritta!!”
“We came here for dinner on a Sunday night and it was good. We ordered the following:Raj Kachori ChaatChinese BhelChicken SizzlerChicken AchariOverall all the dishes were flavorful and had a spicy kick to the dishes. There was definitely flavor and quantity was be than enough. Will come here again next time. Thank you!”

“Definitely not your average Thai restaurant. The whole restaurant feels like a one-man passion project, and I mean that in the most earnest way. Don't go in expecting the dishes to be whipped up instantly, but the creative food and friendly service is absolutely worth the wait.”

“Hosted my proposal/engagement party here and it was amazing. Carmela was absolutely fantastic the entire way through. So helpful and receptive to executing my vision. Very responsive both through email and phone call. All of my guests had a great time, enjoyed the food and drinks. Bar tenders, servers, Maitre D were all super nice and pleasant. Would 1000% recommend to anyone for any event!”
“I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. The food was not only incredibly delicious, but it also showcased a perfect balance of fresh, high-quality ingredients. I'll definitely be returning for more!”
“Small food truck. Food is fresh. I stay.ed nearby for month as a Airbnb customer. So almost everyday for one time I tried their meat over rice. Fresh , price wise good quantity. Good quality and great location”
“Great area to buy subway. My mother loves coming here to get her tuna sandwich and me for the meatball sub.Everything here is fresh, the staff are nice, and I love try their combos. The view is near JQ and it great to diet like me.I just hit the gym and eat subway and met my calorie count.Overall 5/5Vegetarian options: They have veggies patties. My father get one with whole wheat and cheese with his vegetables.”
“Late night saviors, for all the late night workers. Depending on how late (around 3am/4am) expect a delay but they’re worth the wait. Good portions and have things for picky eaters as well.”

“We are new to the area, coming from New York, and have already found our new pizza spot. We were blown away by the slice here. Then we bought a pie the next day. Loved it and will return frequently!”
“As a Dunkin’ Donuts located within an Exxon in the heart of Jersey City, this establishment undoubtedly offers exceptional service. The staff are remarkably efficient, promptly taking and fulfilling my order whilst ensuring its accuracy. Simply put, there is nothing negative to report about my experience here. If you find yourself in the area, do not hesitate to pay a visit to this establishment. I recommend utilizing the mobile app in advance of your visit to save time, but note that the staff work with impressive speed, so allow just a bit of extra time to be safe.”
“This guy who works around 2am in the morning makes the best iced matcha latte and I hope he’s aware of it! He’s not the friendliest but definitely not rude, I hope he gets a raise cause he deserves it.”
“Went through the drive thru for a few burgers and fish sandwiches. The food was hot and tasty. My only complaint is having to go back for the tartar sauce that was requested when I ordered.12/16/23Drive thru-Food was hot and fresh: 2 Surf and Turf's w/ cheese, and mac & cheese nibblersStaff were professional and polite.Wait time: a lil longer than usual.”
“Decent coffee and fast service, lots of workers not too many customers on a weekday around noon. There are 3 small tables but the chairs are old and feel like they will give in any moment.”
“The service with Karen is excellent to say the least. I am expressed with the healthy and organic menu items all at reasonable price. The restaurant is clean and perfectly decorated. My favorite place in Jersey City ❤️!”
“I recently visited an IHOP that I’ve been frequenting since my childhood. This time, however, the experience was rather bittersweet. The service and food quality were inconsistent, which was a first for me at this establishment. The customer service was unpredictable. As for the food, it was a hit or miss. The burgers were flavorful, but the pancakes left much to be desired. They tasted stale, and the strawberries that accompanied them were evidently frozen, not fresh. The cleanliness of the restaurant was another issue. There was an odd smell lingering in the air, and certain areas were uncomfortably cold. While the pricing was reasonable, the quality of the food did not justify the cost. This was a disappointing experience, especially considering my fond memories of this place.”
“Of course food was rated low, but for such a busy location you’d think the employees would be running around throwing orders out, but this is not the case! Every time I’ve gone in the room is clean and the people behind the counter are nothing but kind and helpful. Even in cases where there might be some mixup or altercation (I’ve seen some crazy customers) everything seems to run smoothly and I always get someone asking me if I need anything. It’s fast, filling, and easy; exactly what a McDonald’s should be.”

Takeout Restaurants
“Easily one of the best sandwich shops in JC. I've been through almost everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. My go to these days is the #5, breaded chicken lettuce tomato hot peppers and Chipotle mayo. Can't go wrong with the chicken vodka Parmigiano, one of the best vodka sauces I've ever had!”
“A must try neighborhood gem. They pack on enough meat for two sandwiches with thick slices of mozzarella that’s as fresh as it gets. Really appreciate that the semolina bread is baked locally in JC, though it tastes straight out of Brooklyn. Perfectly executed, team Venti. Thank you!”
“The Grind Shop is your place for serving up excellent brews, mixtures of brews as well as your own choice of coffee just as you like it; we can't forget about the fresh pastries, too. Although space is slightly limited, The Grind Shop is worth your visit every single time. If you're able to grab a seat, you'll have plenty of space to enjoy sipping on your coffee while working on your latest project on your laptop.Parking: This is a pedestrian affair, if you're driving to The Grind Shop, a pick up and go is fine, otherwise, just be patient when looking for parking in and around the area. But if you're commuting or walking, go relaxed and enjoy your visit.”
“There is no compromising on quantity or quality, and the taste is excellent, akin to Indian spices. For South Indians, I heartily suggest this restaurant.”
“VERY cute and cozy place for coffee. Interior is extremely quiet, relaxed, and laid-back - it's the best "third space" I've found in the area. I come here multiple times a week for the chill atmosphere, delicious drinks, and exceptionally friendly staff (Nicole is the best!). Highly recommend!”
“Definitely not your average Thai restaurant. The whole restaurant feels like a one-man passion project, and I mean that in the most earnest way. Don't go in expecting the dishes to be whipped up instantly, but the creative food and friendly service is absolutely worth the wait.”
“One of the best iced lattes I have ever had ! Loved it here . I drink coffee every single day and try coffee shops all the time and this one was amazing ☕️☕️☕️”
“First time visiting this restaurant and it was great! The owner is a very pleasant, hospitable and a kind guy. Went above and beyond to cater to our needs. Food was very good and the owner, as mentioned, was very accommodating.W restaurant; would go again.”
“The soup is amazing. My family likes the Italian wedding and chicken noodle soups, which are served with a generous portion of sliced freshly baked bread. We also ordered the French palmier elephant ear pastries, bacon and egg platters, and avocado toast.Vegetarian options: The menu is posted on the wall, and there are labels on some of the food. It's clear which options are vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: The menu is posted on the wall with a variety of options.Parking: There are parking meters in front of the store and around the corner. Free four hour street parking is available one block away.Kid-friendliness: Open floorplan with plenty of tables and chairs.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance and store are wheelchair accessible.”
“I love it here. They space is very inviting. Colorful art, cozy pillows and an open layout with warm lighting make it a nice, relaxing space to people watch or work remotely. The owners have also created a space for the youngest customers where they can feel most comfortable. The staff is very kind.”
“Very friendly staff. Their Falafel sandwich is to die for, and their fries are truly on point.UPDATE: I finally switched it up and got the Mordi's Breakfast Pita, no meat...OMG it was so good and perfectly messy. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. And yes, the staff is still amazing!!”
“Solid place, however, they are very overpriced as I would go somewhere else if I had an option for fresh italian foods and good quality meats/fish/cheese without going to NYC/Eataly, which has way more options for less or about the same price, but better quality, unique and exotic choices for your money. There is nothing bad to say here, I was in quick, out quick, and happy with the results.”
“Stopped in to buy a cake. The person working there was friendly and helpful. Bought a chocolate cake, it was very good. The cake had a rich chocolatey flavor and the frosting was whipped cream based not butter cream. It was spectacular!”
“I love this place! The food is always fantastic and I love their espresso drinks, the vibe here is always wonderful and the staff is so kind and attentive. Great prices for the area too, JCs lucky to have places like this.”
“Love this place, I guess mainly my girlfriend does who gets the vanilla iced latte a couple times a week. Super great service a nice patio out back and great conversation with the baristas.”

“We dined in on a Friday after noon but before dinner time, and it was not busy. It could be after lunchtime rush hour, which is my preferred time to dine. You'll get a better service since the kitchen and servers are not swamped or rushed. Our meal was fantastic! We ordered Chicken Parm and American Pie.For dessert, we shared a Cioccolato. It was rich and not overly sweet. It looked small, and you think it was not enough to share, but my husband I were deceived (in a good way). It was rich that it was plenty for a couple to share.”

Thank you for giving us South Indian taste and your restaurant ambience wow .. loved all tamil dialogues which was the first attraction to try the food.. service was excellent and best filter coffee ever .. will definitely recommend to our friends and will visit again for sure .. “I ordered cone with chocolate dip and it was the best ice cream I have ever had. Just love love love it. It’s now my favorite place to have ice cream. And best thing is it is open till late so you can grab at late night. The staff served nicely and there is parking spot where you can park and enjoy the ice cream.”
“I have been dying to try this place for a long time and glad I did. Service was nice places clean food was surprisingly really good the next time I was told to try the spaghetti as a side dish. The chicken was cooked very well I rate it up there better than Popeyes and way better than KFC. Too bad that's not many of them around at least that I noticed but if you're near one try it it's well worth the visit.”
“I had my best dining experience in jersey city at this restaurant. Service is superb very friendly and attentive people work here. Food portions are generous and delicious. Take out and delivery packed carefully. Love their eggs so much.”
“From the moment you step in, Pariwaar Delights envelops you in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The food is consistently excellent, and the staff is incredibly attentive”
“The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is very prompt. And of course, the food is satisfying. Even the drive thru is exceptional in customer service. I give Dunkins two thumbs up! ?? ??Kid-friendliness: There are options for kids with the exception of coffee and tea drinks. Kids can indulge in the donuts, sandwiches, and soft drinks.”
“Chicken Delight is known for its delicious food and great service. Customers often appreciate the quality of the food and the friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is particularly popular for its juicy and flavorful chicken dishes, as well as a variety of other sides and entrees. The staff is frequently praised for their attentiveness and willingness to make sure that the customers have a pleasant dining experience. Many people also comment on the welcoming and clean environment in the restaurant.”
“I live far, so I've never physically been there, but I've ordered for delivery multiple times; the food has always been great, and the pastries are / taste fresh and delicious. The packaging is sustainable too, which is always bonus points for me.”
“Easily best Pakistani restaurant in the entire NYC metro area. The food has authentic Pakistani flavor, and to my knowledge the only restaurant that serves authentic Karahi. Also the best environment among all Pakistani restaurants in the NYC area. The Sunday brunch is also a must try. Highly recommended!Vegetarian options: Malai Kofta and Daal are excellent.”
“While the food wasn't bad, I believe it could be better. Given that my order was placed just three minutes before closing, I wasn't expecting perfection, but it was still quite edible and not bad at all.”
“Mcdonalds is mcdonalds. I guess it's more about the service & the actual establishment than the food.Staff is nice & does their job well. Never had an issue with wrong items or rude service. The store itself is amazing tbh. For Xmas, it was decked out!! Tress/lights/gifts everywhere. Was beautiful, really. Now for vday same thing. Balloon hearts/red&pink lights/candy cutouts. They go all out for holidays. Always decorated like no McDonald's I've ever seen before!(**PS: My only & biggest issue with this particular mdcondqls is ... Don't order a regular. Burger/cheeseburger here. Idk why, but there is always a chunk or two in them of idk what. But it's not yummy!**bigmacs/mcdouble are fine it's always only the single cheese/burgers.**)Parking: Mcdonalds is within a mini strip mall. So there is at least 100 parking spaces you can park for free in within the strip malls area.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely kid friendly! It's mcdonalds...what mcdonalds isn't kid friendly??Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. It's on the street level a small lift up from Parking lot onto the curb”
“The stop at Dunkin was worth it for me.I asked for a customized hot drink, it was done without hesitation. Nice touch for me, guy used long spoon to blend it well. Also they had my favorite donut, the apple crumb.Parking: Parking is not bad, remember Dunkin also shares space with convenience store. There is also a Gulf gas station here as well.”
“I usually go frequently since it is very close to me, and there is always parking available because it is in a square. The staff is very attentive and orders are completed quickly.”
“The staff is generally great especially considering they're usually overwhelmed. My only issue with anyone in this establishment is the few employees that seem to be so inconvenienced by my deafness and have an attitude with me. But there are more employees there that try their best to make it an accessible environment and I truly appreciate that. So for the staff that gets annoyed by me...you may feel inconvenienced for a moment, but this is my life every day...dealing with people like that, people who treat me like an inconvenience.”
“Food isnt as good late near closing time but is 100 percent worth the price when you are early any time before 6. Workers are some of the most kindest respectful employees who I have ever seen in food service”
“First of all, let me make sure you guys understand that I’m a 29 year Brooklyn native. Not knowing anything about southern cuisine I strolled into Krewe as I explored Jersey City. Before even getting through the doors I’m greeted by calming music leading me into an eye catching environment filled with tasteful art along with festive decorations.Smiles all around taking me to my seat as my stomach began to growl with anticipation. I’m a heavy eater of chicken so I went with the Chicken Po Boy….didn’t regret a thing. The south cut up chicken thigh overflowing out of my sandwich was a sight to see and the juiciness left my tastebuds back flipping. Water for my beverage as I’m a simple man. On a reccomendation I tried the Grit Fries - never knowing what grits truly were. To my surprise the delicious crispy crunchy outer layer was nothing compared to the soft warm cloud in the middle. I was sold, sandwich so flavorful along with a side of deep fried heaven - what more can I ask for from my new lunch spot.Service was amazing as people were warm and friendly. Cooks did an amazing job and the food was complimented by a very clean and vibrant environment. You’ll definitely catch me there again!”
“Very delicious food! We tried a lot of different dishes including vegan options & totally enjoyed it. The customer service was very amazing. The staff made sure all the food was good & even checked in to make sure the food wasn't too spicy for one of my friends. So sweet! Definitely coming back!”

“A true 5/5!!Delicious food.We came in around 12:15 on a Saturday and they were able to immediately seat our party of 6.Service was quick and waiter was helpful.Cute and clean bathroom. The freshly baked pita that we watched go into the big oven was just a cherry on top!The only thing I didn’t love was the turkey bacon but otherwise I’m in love”
Fine Dining
“I literally waited MONTHS for my reservation date- crazy day of flooding but dinner at 15 Fox Place made it all ok! From the moment we walked in, it truly felt like we were being welcomed by family. The food was delicious- we kept trying to decide what our favorite course was- but it was so fun that each person in our group enjoyed something different the most. Come with an open mind to try so many things, and make sure you come with an empty belly- because you will leave “Thanksgiving” full. Dining amongst the family treasures, photos and decor makes it feel like you’re at a family member’s home. Each course was delicious- the chef came out to say hello- and the ladies who took care of us were simply the best of JC. I’ll be calling a Monday to make another reservation. Maybe I’ll be hungry again by the time we can get in! BYOB- but they have soda and coffee available.”
“The start was quite bumpy. But first of all, the ambience. Everything is very nicely done, but you have the feeling of sitting in a large ballroom. A lot could be done better with appropriate interior design. Our waiter was very polite but still very inexperienced. Our order of wine was a bit overwhelming for the young gentleman, as was the question of a sommelier. By the way, this is a real weak point of the restaurant: there is no sommelier. There is also a relatively simple wine list that only differentiates according to grape variety. It becomes a bit difficult as a wine connoisseur if all you see in the blends is the name of the winery and the wine. Very weak, especially when you also have wines worth over $500 on the menu. Nobody could really help. So thanks to the manager we tried the open wines. But a sommelier would actually be mandatory in a restaurant like this.So it took over 30 minutes before we were able to order something. And to be honest, we thought about leaving without eating here. The food came out of the kitchen quickly. And it was worth staying here. The salad as well as the raviolo for starters were excellent. The two steaks afterwards were perfectly prepared and tasted very good. Perfectly balanced roasted flavors without overpowering the meat taste. The cooking level was perfect. The dessert was just as good as everything before it.Would I go again? To be honest, I'm torn about this. On the one hand, the food was excellent, but on the other hand, the service still needs to be worked on until it is at the level it should be. Plus the missing sommelier. I also like to drink expensive red wine with my steak, but that is simply not possible here because there is no one who can really give good advice. And if I'm lucky, I don't want to order a bottle of wine for $200 plus.”
“We came for Easter brunch as we wanted to be somewhere on the water with a few. Tyler was our server and he was wonderful! We needed a few entree substitutes (due to picky eaters) and he made it happen. Such a great way to spend our Easter. Thank you Tyler! We will be back this summer.”
“Home cooking and everything you can imagine on the menu. Friendly people who were welcoming and helpful. I observed the same response to everyone who came in to order.”
“First time trying this place. Everything we had was good. The calamari appetizer was great, tender and tasty. The tomahawk was cooked perfectly also. The house sauce complimented it well. Although the sauce did taste similar to Peter Luger’s sauce. Maybe that’s why. Overall, I would recommend this place over Liberty Prime.”
“Wonderful service. Very attentive waitresses and waiters. The oysters in the half shell, and the octopus were fabulous, as was the ox tail!We also got some very delicious dessert :)I love how it has the theme of being a “hole-in-the-wall” type of place where there is a low-key/secret entrance through the pizza place called VB3.There is a dress code, but it’s not too strict or too fancy. But just right for the atmosphere. They played ‘happenin’ music … lol. Idk why my word is ‘happenin’, but you get the point! They also have live DJ after a certain time (I think 9 PM)It was dimly lit and comfortable. There are chairs and booths. It’s handicap accessible as well which is a plus in my book!!!Also, the owner is quite a swell guy!!! I highly recommend coming here on many occasions; whether it’s a small party, a casual night out, a date night, or if you’re just spending time with friends/family, it’s a cool spot for it all . What a great experience I had !Oh, and they offered hookah too if you’re interested!9/10 is my recommendation!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Extremely accessible for power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs and for anyone who has difficulty walking. No steps or ramps to maneuver or deal with. Bathroom is also accessible. The entire floor is spacious enough to not get around & one continuous walk way. Plenty of room & an excellent staff to help with any needs.”
“Loved the decor in here! Tomahawk steak was delicious and flavorful. Mac n cheese was yummy, potatoes were divine but the brussel sprouts had too much vinegar- was too sour to eat. Cookie dough desert was very unique and absolutely scrumptious! Would come back. Service was good.”

“An absolute Jersey City GEM! We did the Omakase and it did not disappoint! The chef was super creative and was very fun to interact with. Would definitely go again on non special occasions since it's so affordable!”
“Different and interesting tastes. Whoever created the menu did a masterful job. Everything we ate - from the Scallion Pancake Pizza to the Korean BBQ Short Ribs was excellent. We will definitely return, so we can try some of the desserts.”
“I am absolutely OBSESSED with their limited edition Sour Cherry flavor. I buy it in bulk every time it comes out. Their other flavors are delightful too, they're really good at balancing a great taste with tons of nutrients and healthy goodness! Try the Blue Shark, you won't regret it!!”
Cheap Eats
“Didn't eat. Killed two hours here rather easily. Immediately had two open spots at the bar but we were lucky in our timing, this place can get full fast. Never had to wait for a new drink, bartenders were on top of everything. It's a local stop in Jersey City, though, so be prepared for the accent and the attitude. If you're not from Hudson County, it might seem a little rough, but this is a great spot. Lean into it.Parking: If you don't parallel park then go to a mall, you don't belong here.”
“Walked into this cafe, unaware of how good the coffee was! I had an immaculate cappuccino and the pour over coffee was lovely as well. Got some tasty sandwiches too. They clearly pay attention to detail!”
“We ordered two trays for my brothers birthday party of birria tacos, pork, and steak tacos. IT WAS DELICIOUS AND THEN SOME!!!! Highly recommend and will be coming back!! Definitely our new spot for Mexican food!!”
“The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The appetizers are tasty, I ordered a plain warm croissant with hot chocolate; that was so delicious. This cafe sells great quality hot chocolate and the coffee tastes exceptional. The cafe is clean kept and hygienic. I like this cafe? The server/cashier was welcoming towards me and everything turned out smoothly.”
“One of my coworkers introduced to me to Palermo’s when we ordered lunch together a few times. I’ve only had a few sandwiches, but they have been delicious every time. I can’t wait to try their other food, especially the lasagna which I’ve heard great things about.”
“Very nice people with very good vegan.food. We got there vegan version of a Philly Cheesesteak and a Blt and being from philly this could be blasphemous but it was very tasty and much better then some steak sandwiches i had in philly. We both enjoyed them very much and they give you a side Mac and cheese or potatoes salad and kale with a really tasty vinagarette. Very enjoyable dinner. Just no there is no dining inside so we took it to go.”
“I stopped by on my way home from the gym. I order an al pastor burrito. It was really seasoned well and flavorful. It wasn't small and it wasn't huge either. It was a good size. I left feeling full but not stuffed. I'm looking forward to trying their tacos.”
“Absolutely the best place to get authentic Mexican food for an affordable price. I always stop by and get the, Mexican Burrito & Tostadas. Whenever you have chance, you have to stop and eat here. [Note] It’s cash only!”
“On a Sunday night after traveling all day, our group stopped in for Gypsy Platters and pita sandwich. Everything was delicious, very flavorful. Definitely recommend.”
“If you want to eat excellent, fresh food made with love and served with a massive side of fantastic service, you must come here. I have fallen in love with this cute, quiet spot. Parking is in the area, but most importantly, there is a great atmosphere.”
“Pricey but delicious breakfast sandwiches. You'll pay double versus a no frills deli or wonder bagel but it's more gourmet so make your choice. Coffee and Chai tea were very nice.”
“they have a great menu of foods. there burritos are so amazing and filling. other than there menu food they also have freshly made dinners that are so mouthwatering. any foody would love this place and there portions are very genrous and not expensive at ”
“Pretty good merge between old school JC neighborhood bar and the gentrified implant hipster JC crowd of late. Fun place. Good food, but sometimes inconsistent when the bar/kitchen closes. Great service. Awesome bartenders like Amber, Rinny, Nolan Francis and a few more I am forgetting to list right now.”
“Yes yes yes! We will be coming back for sure! Despite not having seats or being a traditional cafe, the baked goods here hit. the. spot. We got a pepperoni and cheese roll (kind of like a calzone but better), ricotta pastry and chocolate roll, and all three came out to $11 and the sizes were generous. Second Street Bakery does not skimp on the ingredients, and the pastries were field with pepperoni, ricotta and chocolate - everything was evenly distributed so every bite you took was perfect. Highly recommend this spot! The server was really kind and no frills. We look forward to returning and trying their sandwiches too!”
“Old school style ice cream shop. Flavors I tried are all fairly nice and what they say on the label and the ice cream texture is consistently rich and creamy. They had a root beer float so I may be giving it nostalgia points but nothing much to complain unless you are looking for super interesting/intense flavors.”

“This place never fails! Their food is out of this world and their service is on point. We’ve been here 3 times total and each time we get so excited about what we are going to order and the new items in the menu. This place is great for date night or a night out with friends. Highly recommend the lasagna fritta!!”

White Star
“I love White Star! I have been here quite a few times to grab drinks or get dinner. My all-time favorite and repeat order is their vegetarian burger, salad and fries! It’s so delicious!! You cannot miss it! Highly recommend this place if you’re in the neighborhood.”
“I started eating sushi right about the time I started dating. This puts me at around 20 years old. Fairly late to the game, but hey, acne sucks. Took me awhile to figure out washing excessively is just as bad as being a greasy kid. So yea, I was about 20 years old & still trying to get past a goalie, if you know what I mean. The first time I had sushi was at a restaurant in Newport. I only went there because my brother recommended it & he explained I needed to order specific sushi rolls. He knew I was a beginner so he told me to get a California Roll, Spicy Tuna as well as a few others. My memory is that of a goldfish, so to this day I still only remember Cali/Tuna rolls. Nonetheless, the sushi during that date was a hit, even if I wasn't.I kept at it, like a relentless paramour. Date after date I devoured sushi. What I started noticing was that ordering was better left to the date, as I almost always ordered something weird. Cali/Tuna were always there for me to make me appear somewhat knowledgeable, but anything other than that was beyond my mental capacity.Eventually I found a girl who knew how to order. Literally every single time I went out for sushi with her it was a mouth watering delight. So of course, I had to marry this broad. You don't let these get away. So I got her a diamond, they said it was conflict free, & to this day we make it a point to get sushi at least once a week. After finding the girl, there are certain prerogatives you must take in life. If my first was my fiancé, then the 2nd one was a sushi restaurant. Everyone has one, so this quest to discover mine took precedence over all else. Having found my lady, it was up to her to guide me through the myriad restaurants that the tri-state area had to offer. I of course would never be able to do so. So she fulfilled her role.Itto Sushi is just a few blocks away from our apartment. I'm actually functionally illiterate when it comes to maps. Even GPS will not save me from starving to death if it ever came down to it. So my fiancé lets me track her on her phone. No, it's not a trust thing, it's literally a safety thing. I get lost going to the bathroom. I only mention this because of how convenient it was when she said just come to where I am. And that's how I ended up in Itto Sushi. The restaurant itself is not overwhelmingly large. It's a nice comfortable size, where even I won't get lost going to the restroom. The sushi bar is towards the back & you can see all the fresh ingredients laid out ready to be served. There are always multiple chefs working, which I've learned are called Itamaes & Shokunins. These guys are truly worthy of their titles.I don't even bother looking at the menu. My fiancé does her job. She rips through 4 rolls & at least 2 Sashimis. Since I've become a regular at Itto, I've learned how to properly beg for a 5th. To this day I still have not been able to convince her to get 6 rolls. Truth is, my belly can only really handle 5, but I may be somewhat of an addict at this point.Itto Sushi' sushi is literally the freshest I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Their sashimi is also at that level. Both my fiance & I marvel at the relentless & assorted Unami that Itto offers. It's gotten to the point that we literally judge any other sushi place we go to with how well they match up against Itto. No one comes close. So I have my future bride, who in turn got me my sushi spot. I got it made. I'm scoring goals left & right here. Now all that remains is my mission to get that 6th roll. I mean, how do you say no to a cool little boat filled to the brim with sushi? You can't. You simply can't at Itto. The battle to discover my sushi spot has been won, but the war for that 6th roll rages on.”

“As we were greeted as soon as we came in by a very lovely lady at the front counter, we were immediately seated with the waiter, coming out very promptly and taking care of every knee. As soon as something was finished it was removed as soon as you needed something they were right there some of the best service I’ve ever had in my life. It’s hard to find and the food is absolutely amazing. Is one of the best nights I’ve had out at dinner and well over a year year.”

Thank you!”
“ME Casa is some of the best authentic Spanish Caribbean food I have ever had in the Tri-State area. I am never disappointed with anything on the menu, but their arroz con gandules is some of the best I ever had. Pair that with their pepper steak and you have a match made in food heaven.”
“This place has a lot of place inside to sit and also has an outdoor place as well.Overall good atmosphere and party vibe, good to hang out with friends. They can do better with bar and kitchen orders where you have a stand in 2 long queues to order food and drinks”
“Good Food and Strong DrinksI must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Not only was it better than I expected, but it was also well-prepared and served in a timely manner. The portions were generous, and the flavors were on point. The drinks – they're huge and pack a punch! You're guaranteed to leave feeling buzzed. While the service could be a tad better, with room for improvement in attentiveness and friendliness, it didn't detract too much from the overall experience. One thing I appreciated was the presence of security at the door, which added an extra layer of comfort and safety to the atmosphere.Overall, Ringside offers great food, strong drinks, and a decent atmosphere. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for a lively night out.”

WÜRSTBAR
“Recently moved into the city and been wanting to try Würstbar. Finally got there and by far exceeded every expectation! They play music that brings back so many great memories, service is fast and friendly! Food: The fries are absolutely amazing and the dogs were popping with flavor. Can't wait to go back and try more!”

Cafe Dolma
“I am still thinking about what may have been the best breakfast of my life this past weekend.. the flavors blew me away and everything was executed to perfection. Def don’t get something plain on this menu as you need to experience what this small kitchen and spices can really do. I’ve visited others in the “best breakfast in JC” list.. and none compare so far.. can’t wait to return.. highly reccomend the Chullburr”

Samakmak
“Absolutely DELICIOUS! The flavor is out of this world! I got the grilled branzino fish with salad, tahini, and rice. The fish was fried to perfection with the most rich flavor of amazing spices. Service was also awesome—everyone was so kind and helpful in helping me decide what to order. They recommended this dish and I am so happy they did! Will be back soon to try the other dishes (like the orata fish!)! Thank you so much! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!”

The Archer
“The menu is a sweet merry-go-round that licks my brain like a dish in ratatouille. This past time I indulged with The collard green melt. Think about a vegetarian Ruben without pastrami but instead an earthy perfect collard, a pepper spiced Russian dressing oozing out the sides because of my vigorous bites, and a marble rye time capsule of perfection. I licked my nubs and used the fries for plate cleaning. But... I digress. The menu always changes but it never fails. There are a couple of these brilliant finds on every new iteration. Surround all that with nice bartenders that exude the word craft, some swell bluegrass on hump day, and the aer of 1970s Missoula. it's always a jersey city staple.”
“The start was quite bumpy. But first of all, the ambience. Everything is very nicely done, but you have the feeling of sitting in a large ballroom. “Food was great, restaurant is nice.I give 3 for atmosphere as music was simply aweful- some unpleasant "urban" music. For those high prices, good food and nice Latin restaurant Inwould expect a nice cool Spanish/ launch, Manu chao or chilled Modern Mexican music.I could've go to an Asian restaurant and have no nice music, no cool ambiance.I hope they change it!We've been living in the downtown area for 12 year and would be a great if they even get some live band in the weekends, move the tables in the middle and ppl can dance nice latin music like salsa/ whatever just not regatón and r&b , have a bit nicer vibe. But who knows - may be they just cater to the crowd!!”
“A selection of 17 CBs on tap, including gluten-free options. The prices are reasonable, ranging from $7 to $8. A flight of four for $15, served uniquely on a small roller coaster! The brewing tanks are fine. And don't miss indulgent Stout, boasting a rich flavor with a 13% alcohol content.”

Gussy's Cafe
“Great atmosphere, friendly staff and quality food. I work remotely here sometimes when I want to get out of the house and the wifi is strong, always a place to sit.Vegetarian options: Veggie omelet and benedict are pretty good. Wish they had a veggie breakfast sandwich because the BEC is pretty good.”
“My favorite sushi place in the area! Reasonable prices for great food. The rolls are great and so fresh tasting. I personally also really like the tuna tartare and the salmon tataki. It's hard to find such fresh tasting sushi without breaking the bank so I'm so glad this is near me. The space is also really cute. They have a back area where the chairs are all mismatched and eclectic. While the restaurant itself is more homey feeling, it adds to its charm. The people are always so nice too. Love this place! (Takeout is also great)”

“Came here for Valentine's Day as a recommendation. I love how this is located in the heart of a residential area - you definitely had locals at the bar enjoying the space. The dinner started with salad and the most delicious bread basket - yes the breads are made in house! Overall - authentic Italian dishes that tasted homemade and delicious. Expect huge portions, and overall pretty good price! It was quite busy, again likely because of Valentine's Day, but the service was fast and attentive. I would come here again just to get the eggplant rollatine. Yummy!”

Jiangnan NJC
“Jiangnan's location in NJC has to be my favorite restaurant in Jersey City. It is equally as good as the location in Manhattan in terms of food, service, and atmosphere, though one thing to note is that they do not have an alcohol menu.I come back here all the time because everything is delicious – you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. My top dishes and gotos after trying a solid portion of the food here over the years includes: chicken/fish maw soup (or Buddha's temptation soup, this tastes like the former with seafood), egg yolk prawn, lotus root with sticky rice, braised meatballs, and the yogurt and fruit dessert. The duck here is also great, if you like it on the sweeter side.DO NOT sleep on the drinks here!! They are amazing, and the pineapple beer and sodas are both fun and aesthetic.Portion sizes are pretty big so it's worth it to go with a group. Otherwise, you'll have lots of leftovers (no complains there either). :)”
“This place deserves a much better review! This is by far the BEST Chinese food place in Jersey City area since Jiangnan has sloped tremendously towards the South. Every dish tastes authentic and unique. The spicy dishes are consistent and harbors the unique seasoning. Love the kick on my taste buds! Keep the good working going. ????”

“Can't comment on the cocktails but the food is phenomenal. Regularly order the Detroit style pizza and wedge salad. Definitely try the pepperoni w/ hot honey or the mushroom (forgot the menu names). One of the best in JC for sure!”
“I love this place so much. Me and my Yoruba husband just got married last year and we couldn’t find a Nigerian place to eat. We found this gem of a place and we are so blessed. I am trying to learn Yoruba and she even offered to teach me. So sweet.”
“We just moved to Jersey City and we brought our friends who were visiting from NYC and we all loved this place! Stephanie and Dan were amazing and treated us so well! We can’t wait to make the Hutton our regular spot!”
“It's a pity that the pot pork is not very delicious, the crab roe and potato shreds are ordinary, the braised beef brisket is very pre-made, the preserved egg and green pepper are too spicy, although the green pepper is too spicy, the fried bun is numb, the price is very ”
“My wife and I ordered a vermicelli bowl each, hers with grilled chicken and mine with grilled pork and spring rolls. The spring rolls were fantastic as were the grilled meats. The only reason I've given 4 stars and not 5 was because both of us felt that they had skimped on the veggies. Service was great. I'm glad we went and highly recommend the restaurant.”

The Table
“No complaints! Everything was delicious and the service was great. The staff was friendly. My husband & I went on a date night. We had the burrata which was amazing! I ordered a dirty martini which was great as well. For dinner we both had the steak frites, which was cooked exactly how we ordered it, and I am in love with the brandy peppercorn cream sauce. Dessert was the perfect ending. I enjoyed the vibe and music. We ordered a pizza to go for my child and it did not disappoint. Finally a great restaurant away from all the downtown traffic and lack of parking. We will definitely return to try more food!”
“Great option for Indian food in the grove street area. However, it’s a 7-8min walk from the train station. Parking is hard to find. But the food compensates for all that. We had two appetizers- Samosa Chat : its at least had 1.5 large crispy samosas in it, appropriate amount of chutney and yogurt- Goat Fry : very flavorful and tender .I am a big fan of sizzlers, so we ordered- Clove garden mix grill : it looked amazing when they brought it out but it was a miss. Some of the meats had dried out by the time we could eat it.For main course we had- Lamb Biryani : meat was tender and incorporated with caramelized onions. It was slightly spicy but very flavorful- Lamb Rogan Josh : lamb was perfectly cooked and the sauce was indulgent- Chettinad Gosht : the chettinad flavor was mild but it went nicely with the Biriyani .- Bread Basket : very generous with their portions . It has 12 pieces of assorted breadsLastly we had desert- Gulab Jamun : it was warm and soft. Appropriately sweet.- Ras Malai : I prefer milk based deserts, I liked it the most- Gajrella : Less sweet than regular .”
“The food is generally good here. They do chicken well and give you good bread. I ordered moussaka once and was disappointed...it was basically ground meat. The vibe is comforting but the service is sooooo slow.”
“I highly recommend Max’s Restaurant in Jersey City. The food and service are exceptionally excellent. I would like to commend Mr. Allen Manabat & Mr. John Que for their assistance and support.”
“If you're cravingSteak & Eggs this is the place to visit. The steak was cooked perfectly, the eggs were just right, and the home fried potatoes were deliciously seasoned.”
“This was our first time here, we were in Jersey City and Googled some breweries and this place popped up so we decided to try it. They have parking on the facilities. Once inside they have some tables and benches. They had an array of beer to choose from, we ordered a flight and the beer was good. I would definitely recommend.”
“This second trip was much better than the first, probably because we chose the right things from the menu (the specials, halibut and the duck). The only small negative was the time it took for our first drink to arrive.Went there again. Food was great shrimp pasta, prime rib and fish and chips.”
“This place has amazing drinks with an Indian touch, and many vegan options. Great atmosphere and service. I recommend this place. Try the Campfire Mule, a delicious adaptation of the Moscow Mule. Island Kuri is too sweet for me, but delicious as well.”

The Cliff
“The ambiance is excellent, providing a very homey atmosphere. The staff was swift with providing service. The breakfast burrito was divine. Although there's no meat in it, I was more than satisfied with the ingredients included. The fruit on the side was fresh and delicious, as the coffee.”

Buddy's JC
“Today was my very first time coming here but not my last! Busy place but seated very quickly, our server Marina was very pleasant & attentive. I ordered the steak & eggs which came with rye bread and french fries but I opted for the homemade onion rings.. YUMMY!!? The music was good as well as the drinks. The only thing I didn't like was that the tables were super close together (you can hear the next person's conversation close) but other than that no complaints!! ??”

“Went for the dinner to this place .Cocktails was really good would definitely recommend to try the cocktails.Had ordered fish tacos which was good and nachos were great.”
“White Star is a great bar if you're looking for friendly bar staff, good pubgrub and reasonable pricing. We would like to see a stronger local beer selection, but we will settle for a pint of Allagash, their fried pickles, and a lamb burger. Totally forgot to take pictures of the food ??”
“Did price fixe on a weekday, $29 for three courses! Coconut shrimp, short rib, and key lime pie were all great. Plus free bread and hummus. Place was empty, feel bad and hope they stay in business.”
“Absolutely fabulous food, but maybe we came on an off day, because wait times after sitting down were pretty crazy long. We had a reservation but waited about 30 minutes to have our order taken. Food took quite a while too, but once we received it, it was absolutely delicious. Eggs Benedict 10/10, fresh ingredients. French toast 9/10, fantastic but not filling. Coffee was fab too.”
“I literally just ordered from here; the diri djoun djoun with fried chicken and a side of macaroni au gratin…. They also gave a fresh side green salad. Out of the whole meal my favs were the fried chicken(well down like I like it) the diri djoun djoun was bomb!!! And the salad was soooo fresh and delicious. TO ME AND I SAY TO ME cause everyone’s taste buds are different I didn’t like the macaroni au gratin too much cause one it had ground beef or turkey in it hard to tell being that it was well marinated into the macaroni au gratin and also in my opinion it was a lil dry (once again this is my opinion cause some might find it to be just right, whereas I like that oily and fattening macaroni au gratin taste). But do not not order it guys cause your guys may choose to differ when it comes to the macaroni au gratin. But other than that I enjoyed the food. Been a while since I had haiatian food that actually taste like Haitian food. Oh ye the ambiance is to die for fancy and upscale AF!!!! Definitely got themselves a loyal customer! ♥️”
“My son had his wedding at Martime Parc this past weekend. We couldn't be happier. The venue was beautiful, the staff was warm and professional and the food was delicious. What a wonderful place to celebrate such a joyous event!!”
“I went on the recommendation. The food was very nice and arrived on time. The restaurant was busy but our servers took care of us.They was smiling and friendly. They showed the necessary importance. We thank you for everything. see you guys ”
“Casual little gem in Jersey City..the food was great, all the sauces were great and their own beer was great as well. Tried the 4 meat meal with 3 sides and the guac and smoked wings to start. Out of all of it I'd say a small improvement can be made w the baked beans. They need a bit more sweetness and pork, other than that everything we had was fantastic and the place ran very well because of their manager who checked on us 3 times...good man.”
“food is amazing and portions are very good for the price. I have ordered twice back to back. I'm addicted to the food. I tried the chefs signature package the lobster Mac and cheese balls the warm lobster roll, the angry chicken sandwich, the hand cut fries , the shrimp and lobster bisque, Everything is delicious. They have my business forever”

Fire & Oak
“Just went there for both of cousins birthdays and I had a great time. The food was good and we had two hours of top shelf drinks. The appetizers were the best for me, however, overall, everything was amazing. I will be back.”
“service could be a little more attentive but overall food and atmosphere was great! good size portions of food for the price and came out quickly! will definitely be back to try the late night happy hour :)”
“From the moment you step in, Pariwaar Delights envelops you in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The food is consistently excellent, and the staff is incredibly attentive”

Hudson Hall
“Just stopped in for drinks after a visit in the city. We were greeted by a friendly bartender who served us quickly. We order espresso martinis and they were good but lacked a stronger coffee taste. The atmosphere was fun and cozy on the side of the bar we were on. The main side was louder because of the basketball games on but seemed very fun as well”
“When you hear "perfect neighborhood bar" what do you think of? Because I think of unfussy food, strong drinks, reasonable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. Oh look at that, Brightside Tavern checks all 4 boxes. What's that? Entertainment (jazz night, open mic, karaoke) multiple nights a week? Sports on TVs all around the 360-degree bar? Brunch every day from 9-4? Happy hour ever weekday from 3-7? Kitchen open late (I mean LATE)? Music loud enough to take the edge of life off but not loud enough to make it impossible to talk? The owner (Tommy 2 Scoops) makes an effort to know and welcome everyone who visits? Everyone is welcome as long as you're good to each other? You probably get the idea by now. I can't think of one thing this bar doesn't make convenient. The Brightside Tavern might be Jersey City's best neighborhood bar. You don't need a reason or an excuse to go here, just do it.”

“I recently dined here and had an exceptional experience. The whole staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout the evening. A special shoutout goes to Freddy for his outstanding service and for crafting the most delicious mocktails I've ever tasted. Highly recommended.”
“Had a fantastic brunch with friends! Great food, awesome views, and good service. Limited gluten-free options though, which was surprising for such a nice spot. Still recommend, but be aware if you have dietary restrictions.”
“Great food and awesome service.Kid-friendliness: Spacious and you can take your toddler to walk aroundWheelchair accessibility: They have ramp available inside the restaurant”

Chickie's
“Last night I came to Chickie’s. There was street parking, we found quite fast. Overall it was a great experience. Drinks we got were House Rose and espresso martini( my date said it was quite sweet). Food was fresh and came out quick despite it being a full house. The mozzarella sticks were amazing and must. The spicy rigatoni does live up to the hype as well, and I highly recommend. To finish, we had a tiramisu which was also fresh. The highlights of this place were the atmosphere, the quick service and how fresh the food was along with the quality of ingredients. Next time I’ll come for a pizza as their menu looked great.”
“UPDATE:My opinion on how delicious the Rasta pasta is remains unchanged. My partner disputed the extra $15 with Uber, who immediately credited it back. They said they would honor the complaint after we sent a screenshot of the cost on the restaurant website (18.97 vs. $33.79), but stated that they would be contacting the restaurant to adjust their Uber settings because Uber did not add the $15 charge, and it’s the restaurant’s responsibility to adjust it because they do not collect that extra fee for themselves.Hopefully it all gets sorted soon. For $18.79, I’d used this way more often!Overall stars have been adjusted to 4/5.Original review:Delicious! Best Rasta pasta in NJ!We’ve ordered take out twice and it hasn’t disappointed. My partner got a chicken sandwich that he really liked. He said it was crispy, well-flavored, and had a nice piece of chicken. He also commented that he liked the curry chicken less, gave the curry a 3/5.I’ve ordered the Rasta pasta twice and really enjoyed it both times. I’m super particular about my Rasta pasta and this one fits the bill. It’s well seasoned, has a nice amount of yummy sauce. The only thing I’d say is that it’s $17 to add chicken, so for a $33 plate, it should be bigger. I pay that much (or less) for a family size helping of anything at any other restaurant. This dish is not shareable if you want to be satisfied.Picture is of some of my plate, as I forgot to photograph it before I went in!Definitely 4/5 on food. 3/5 overall due to excessive pricing without the amount to back it up.”
“I knew from the moment I walked in the door that I had picked the right place to have dinner. Everything was simply amazing from the management to the waiter to every aspect of the restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing and we went by the choices that were recommended, this place I give a four star rating if I could give more I would. It is a must to visit and have a delicious meal.”

Honshu
“Authentic Japanese Sushi restaurant in downtown Jersey City.Honshu has become a staple in the area, they offer, Sushi Rolls, Sashimi and Nigiri, they also have ramen, fried rice, and other Japanese platters. The place has plenty of windows, outdoor seating and the vibe is great, lots of different people enjoying authentic Sushi.Their custom rolls are to die for, starting with the house specialHonshu Roll, Sushi K Roll, Luis Roll, and others.Their Sashimi selection is great, their White Tuna is to die for and the sizes are big compare to other places I've visited.Their Nigiri cuts are great, they have a premium fish menu that always surprise me with the selection, always something new to try, their fish are in the majority imported from Japan. They also have OMAKASE, you really need to try this, I believe they start at $100 per person, trust me, you won't regret it.Service is pretty good, staff knows and can suggest if you're new or not sure what to try. They plenty of Japanese beer, Sake and other Whiskys.Overall Honshu is my favorite Sushi place in Jersey City, their rolls, nigiri and sashimi have made me fall in love with Sushi, it's my go to place when I'm treating someone for dinner and they asked, Sushi?#sushi #honshu #dinner #omakase #brunchWheelchair accessibility: Ramp to access restaurant.”

Chef Tan
“Food was amazing! Most people would be comfortable with the spiciness amount, even for me it was fine! Great service of them refilling water, beautiful atmosphere and bathrooms!”
“Hopefully rabid mobs won't do a "French Laundry" attack on my hypocrisy for sometimes avoiding places that have 3 stars yet saying the consensus is wrong on Masha & Harry's. (Minor annoying note - if you type in Taste of the Caribbean, its formal name on Uber Eats, Yelp search doesn't show it...which will be my excuse when defending the subpar page views of this post). The chicken curry from a previous order was good, maybe not better than Flatbush but I haven't been to Flatbush in forever. The revelation was today's order of doubles and bake and salt fish. For the doubles, you'll want to check the boxes for the pepper and tamarind sauces. One negative review complains about the amount of salt fish in the bake. I thought this was a brilliant sandwich. The cabbage and other vegetable items indeed have more surface area but everything was in harmony. I'll remind you that Hannibal Lecter was only in The Silence Of The Lambs for 16 minutes.”

Saigon Cafe
“I got the clay pot pork and it was enjoyable. The dish has a caramelized onion gravy with marinated pork and includes a side salad and rice. The salad was salad, rice was rice, the gravy was the star. It was like a French onion soup with a sweet-savory pork.Overall food was good, but not mind-blowing. For $24 I would have hoped for more pork.”
“We stopped in after a show late on a Tuesday. The bartender was very welcoming, explained the menu well, and made awesome drinks. Other folks seemed to be regulars based on their interactions with each other and staff. Decor is a mix of sports bar and dive bar. We weren't expecting the spicy veggie quesadilla to have buffalo sauce--a very midwestern touch”
“The most Awesome spot in Jersey City! Thanks to my friend Alok to introduce me to the chapel and to the crew for taking great care of us and my dog Chirkoot after 20 hrs car ride! Cheers!”

“thank you for the delicious coffee. first time in this institution. I can recommend this cafe. the combination of delicious coffee and a wonderful view makes this place unforgettable.”

“Perfect spot for breakfast! I had a veggie omelette with grits and the portions were huge. My husband had Oreo pancakes and loved them. The girls had kids french toast and the Smiley Face Pancake. Grab some real fancy cocktails and dance the night away to some absolutely fun songs! I love their food as well! They have a beautiful rooftop garden which is open for summers. Free four hour street parking is available one block away.Kid-friendliness: Open floorplan with plenty of tables and chairs.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance and store are wheelchair accessible.”
“Cute little spot! Smaller, tightly packed seating. We had to wait on a Monday night at 8pm for approx 10-20mins for a seat by the bar.The lamb and pork tacos were good. Their hibiscus margarita was nice and refreshing.Cozy space and fun atmosphere :)”
“A lot of food, for me it was good, it's oriental cuisine, you eat everything you can and whatever you want for only US$17.00 (the day we ate there) I don't know another day.....everything you can consume in there, you cannot leave food on the plate because they charge you a surplus, there is a lot of variety, pork, fish, chicken, shrimp, rice pasta, salads, fruits all with their oriental seal”
“What a difference a year makes!I came to Muteki about two weeks after they first opened and was extremely disappointed. I was fully prepared to write them off, but this past winter was cold, so I gave them another shot. I have been back at least 5 times since then, because they are delicious! This is the first Jersey ramen venue since the demise of Union Republic that is worth continuous patronage! The broths are delicious and the noodle quality is consistent and finally firm! There is a good variety for the exotics (black garlic is popular), but I also want to highlight a great selection of appetizers - some of the best bao and takoyaki I've had in a long time!”
“If pizza and dancing is your thing, then you will love the vibe at Porta! They have fabulous pizzas to try from and great cocktails! It’s a hip and fun ambience and converts into a huge dance floor post 11-11.30 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings. It’s a super lively place in Jersey city if you’re not in the mood to head all the way to New York city. This resto bar gets super busy on Fridays and weekends. So either go in early or make a reservation!”

“Anime and Asian Food might be a dream come true in Jersey City. The One Piece Art is what attracted me. Top 2 best Anime ever. Not a fan of Asian flavors but I wont be bias ? & let my wife review with me. When you walk in you have enough seats to sit down and the server come take care of you. For appetizer we had the steam gyoza. I didn't like it but my wife enjoyed it with the sauce. My wife had the Miso Chicken ramen. She gave it an 8.7/10. The perfect spiciness in the broth, egg was super delicious and noodles was perfectly cooked. She didn't rlly like the chicken. I had the chicken teriyaki with rice. I didnt like the chicken teriyaki at all but enjoyed the sauce of it with my rice yum. Wife thinks chicken teriyaki is tender and juicy. She also loved the sauce. I had a peach ice tea which was delicious”
“Manager is respectful and straight forward to all employees . He is old school he complements hard workers for those who earn it. His priority is customer care. If your lazy and a complainer who freeloads yet job isn’t being done he will let you know it and it won’t be pleasant place to work so I would suggest you apply elsewhere if your any of those negative things mentioned. I appreciate his respect and family friendly environment he places in the work place and hope it will be a long journey.”
“We had our dinner here last night and we loved the place. The restaurant serves authentic Mexican dishes. The place is also clean and well-maintained. It’s how you’d expect a Qdoba to be.”
