“Place was packed when we came. Atmosphere lively a tad loud if you want conversations. We saw them conduct a couple of birthday shout outs and that was great! Food was simple and fresh, not overly salted. We liked the shrimp and steak. Pork chop was hard but that was the only miss.“

“This place deserves way more than the 3.9 Google stars. So I need to leave a review after trying it today so others can try it as well. Being Guyanese myself, I’m always a little hesitant to try any West Indian/Caribbean food spots, but I decided to stop in after driving by — and I’m so glad I did. Everything we ordered was delicious. Honestly, the curries were even better than some of the roti shops I regularly visit in Queens. I'm gonna order my Dhal Puri from here now on! Chicken Curry was like my aunt made it and so was the rice and beans and sweet plantains.The owners were also incredibly sweet and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes!“

“I recently tried Marabu Kreyol Restaurant and it was a nice introduction to Caribbean flavors. The food was rich, flavorful, and clearly inspired by traditional Haitian and Creole cooking. I especially liked how hearty and well-seasoned the dishes were — they felt very authentic and comforting. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s a great little spot if you’re in the mood for something different and want to explore Caribbean cuisine.“

“This place has been in business since 2001 and the owners are blessed ?? to still be up and running. I was 19 when I first ate from here and I am almost 40 years old. The owners have always been good people and they never hiked up the price to rob the community. This tray was considered small and it was priced at $11 and the drink was $2.50. To be able to enjoy a delicious meal for that price is a blessing ?? I was able to eat 3x out of this one tray! Meat tender mac and cheese cheesy it's flavorful as hell! Wishing this establishment many more years of serving and servicing the community!“

“Nestled in a small neighborhood, the location is unassuming but is a neighborhood gem. They have all of the traditional Caribbean eats plus a few items that I've never seen before. The ox tails were spectacular (will go back for those) and the mac n cheese was snap! The rice and peas were a little al dente and unfortunately the greens were gritty (not in any way saying that they are all the time, just happened to be this time) but had super great flavor and perfect texture. I will need going back to try more of their selection next time I'm in Bayonne,NJ“

“You come here for takeout/delivery food, not the atmosphere. It’s not a date spot, however, the takeout would delight any date you might have for certain. The jerk chicken, plantains, rice and peas are excellent and the homemade ginger beer is a real plus. Ignore the ambiance, embrace the food! Bonus: If you have an event, you can call ahead to order large sizes of everything.“
