“Bought doubles and a curry chicken wrap roti and this was ones of the best tasting wrap rotis I've had in awhile. The curry itself and the inside condiments were flavorful and very tasty. The doubles as well was very good. Only tried these 2 items but I'm sure the rest of the menu items are just as delicious. Would definitely recommend and would be going back.“

“I would say please make sure you are handling your chicken correctly. After eating your delicious chicken (at least one time) I felt like I experienced a bout of food poisoning. Unfortunately, I can't eat here anymore, I don't know if the food is being handled properly.“

“Taste of the Caribbean catered my mom's birthday. Denise was courteous, accommodating, and kind and developed a really excellent menu for the event. She hand-delivered the food and made sure that it was held at temperature just like we requested. She accommodated the spice profiles as well given that my mom is a little bit older and can't handle the spicy food in the same way as she used to. Everything was perfect and I highly recommend them and their catering services to anybody. Amazing customer service and even better tasting food. The beef patties and the oxtail were 10 out of 10.“

“I just happened to be in the area and spotted YUPP as I turned on the street corner where it was prominently situated. I spoke to Abigail for a bit about the different flavors and she did not disappoint. They definitely concentrated on the flavors first so they did not deviate from the authenticity of the Jamaican taste. The regular beef was great, so that set the tone for trying the other flavors. I especially loved the Curry Chicken, the Oxtail and the Goat. Can’t wait to try the other flavors. I will definitely buy again! Abigail is great!“

“Was walking by and saw A&J Caribbean Taste. I just had to go in and see what they had. It was like home! They had a wide range of food and I was so excited I asked for a sample of it all lol. DELICIOUS. Further, it was super generous of the server to accommodate my request. My favorite was the oxtail though all dishes were delicious. If you're missing GOOOOD Caribbean food and want a variety - and not have to wait for food preparation - this is a must visit. Compliments to the chef. This will now be one of my go-to spots whenever I come to my Newark Office.“

“Treat yourself to a sit down dinner at Lakay. I can't say enough good things about my families' dining experience. With only a few tables in the restaurant, the service and personal attention were like you were invited into the chef's home for private dining. The table was set beautifully like at a 5-star restaurant and serene spiritual music and videos played to add to the welcoming atmosphere. Now--the food! It was our first time eating Haitian cuisine and everything was made with such high quality and care. From the Soursop drinks (a must!), to the best potato salad I have ever eaten in my life, to the black bean soup, to the snapper, chicken and pork--everything far exceeded our expectations. It was truly a blessing to have stumbling on this gem!“

Since I didn't have much experience, I asked Aiyana for recommendations on how much food (with variety) to feed all the guests. She was so patient and helpful throughout the process. “Have been trying this place for a while now, and must say, O Cookshop, is pretty damn good. My favorite is their, Rasta Pasta, and their Oxtails. In this specific review, I had ordered their, Large Oxtails, w/ Rasta Pasta, & Cabbage, and a side of, Mac n Cheese. The oxtails are extremely flavorful, can have a bit of fatty pieces sometimes, but the oxtails are cooked until tender, and they overall work well into the gravy. Their Rasta Pasta is fantastic too. Al dente noodles, and the sauce has such nice Alfredo flavoring with a bit of a kick. The cabbage is cooked to a nice crispness and is always a pleasant addition to any combination you can come up with. Not to mention their, Mac n Cheese. It is so damn good. It’s creamy, but still has that Baked Mac structure to it, it is also seasoned well too. Absolutely love this place. I’d highly recommend, O Cookshop, to anyone in the, East Orange, area and looking for some terrific, Caribbean food.“

“I visited Sashey's for the first time on April 23 and I must say the food I ordered (curry goat with rice and peas and a brown stew fish) was excellent!
