Bought doubles and a curry chicken wrap roti and this was ones of the best tasting wrap rotis I've had in awhile. The curry itself and the inside condiments were flavorful and very tasty. The doubles as well was very good. Only tried these 2 items but I'm sure the rest of the menu items are just as delicious. Would definitely recommend and would be going back.

Salim's Hot & Tasty is considered the best Caribbean restaurant in New Jersey. The doubles are consistently superb, described as a 10/10, the best ever had, and simply the best in Jersey. The barra is soft and firm, holding the flavorful chana which is an explosion of flavor. They are always hot, cheap, and amazing. The beef pie is also amazing, with well-seasoned ground beef fried to perfection. The curry is really flavorful and nice. The shrimp roti, however, received criticism for its small shrimp size. The restaurant offers other things like roti, Trini snacks, drinks, scotch bonnet pepper sauce, and the Bigfoot.
The atmosphere is friendly and reminiscent of home, with soca music and decor that evokes childhood memories for Caribbean people. The place is clean. The owner and staff are friendly, kind, and professional, providing amazing customer service. They also cater events. The consistency, taste, quality, and serving size are superb and unmatched in the vicinity.
