Salim's is a rare find in NJ. The food is so authentically delicious, home-cooked Trinidadian. Our visit was worth the drive. The curry chicken and goat, balanced with the pumpkin and achar masala apple, with buss-up-shot were like a taste of home. The doubles were melt in your mouth goodness. The chinese style food was delicious as well. I plan to catering soon with Salim's.
I am on currently on vacation in NJ and decided to try out Salim's Hot & Tasty. To begin with, the restaurant felt like back home, there's a picture of Maracas beach hanging off their wall, a variety of local snacks and the aroma of trini food, tantalised my taste buds. Apart from that, the staff were very friendly, the place was well kept and clean.
