“What a great place... Every time I go it's like I enter a store in Colombia for a moment, you breathe Colombian air! The people who serve are very friendly (there is a boy who always has a smile for the customers), I love the food they sell there, ufff it is delicious!!!!I go very often to buy cheese bread, the 9 am type is warm and super spongy. I really want to congratulate the staff for doing their job very well.PS: It's incredible but every time I go to the market Colombian music plays: cumbia, salsa, merengue, etc., good for that! My only small recommendation is to turn down the music a little since sometimes it sounds very loud.“
“I like that they offer a $10 lunch special, including veg and plantain with a soda...but it's only chicken. But seriously...you not gonna oder just that! You gotta get a patty or festival or something else that catches your eye. I had the curry chicken (a little spice but good) and a beef patty, bc they were out of chicken. I ate almost everything...and I don't feel bad about it! Will visit again, but try to avoid the out of school kids.“
“I’m new to Bergen county & this is second time I’ve ordered from here & wow amazing!! First time was jerk chicken with rice & peas & cabbage the taste was great. Today I ordered pepper steak with white rice& salad with candied yams!! Everything was great. I love this place. 10/10 recommend!! Both times I’ve ordered on Uber & food still tasted fresh and warm.“
“We did not visit the restaurant but we did enjoy the food. LOL The first order was brown stew red snapper. It was well prepared, nicely seasoned and tasty. The salad was nice - we could have eaten more! We enjoyed it so much we ordered again the next day. We ordered the stew peas this time. It was meaty and also well seasoned. Two nice meals delivered via Uber Eats!“
“I cannot say enough about this exceptional restaurant. I have been following the chef for some time and finally was able to get a reservation for my anniversary. The location is in the middle of Lincoln Center and was beyond gorgeous to compliment this equally elegant restaurant. From the moment I entered, I was greeted by friendly staff who were immediately attentive and responsive and didn't feel pretentious or stuffy. I started at the bar and enjoyed two cocktails while I waited for my plus 1. The drinks were fantastic. By the way, I am a mixologist who travels to exceptional cocktail bars. This place had drinks that stood out. They were refreshing, while spirited and tasty. The nut cracker was not too boozy, but a delightful game changer like I have never had before (I usually hate this drink made by other establishments). Then, once we were seated, we ordered a medley of dishes from the Hamachi Eschovitch, to the Oxtail and Crab Rangoon and the Egusi Dumplings to start. Everything we ordered was eclectic, unique and truly melted in your mouth. Some items had a bit of a kick, but nothing overwhelming (except for the side sauce provided - beware). Then, for dinner, we enjoyed the Sofrito Roasted Chicken which was perfectly cooked, juicy and had an assortment of flavors and reminders of my childhood (just like grandma made). We also ordered Mom's Shrimp Dish which was another award winning dish. For dessert, we ended the meal with the rum cake. Spectacular! I highly recommend this phenomenal restaurant for a unique and exceptional culinary experience. Kudos to Kwame and wishing you much success.Parking: Parking is expensive. Take the train instead or a taxi. Both more affordable options.“
“100% SOLD ALL. THE. TIME. This is my go-to spot when I want to have something a little special and the price point fits within my budget. No matter the dish, it always hits the spot and I'm always pleased that I'm paying for a dish that isn't outrageous compared to other restaurants in the area that are serving similar items. I also appreciate the service - everyone is friendly ans offers great suggestions. Specials are always worth visiting again and again. GO!!“
“Patrick’s Place is a nice little date night spot. It’s super small so it can feel cramped BUT the entertainment and service completely make up for the limited space. It definitely more of an intimate setting. I didn’t have the pleasure of trying the food but the drinks were great. The rum punch was authentic and you could taste the Wray and nephew, need I say more? The Jazz players and singer were really good. I would definitely come back and try the food next time. Parking is a little difficult as it’s Harlem and on the main road so just keep that in mind. There is also a $20 pp minimum“
“Jasmine's is a rare find whose delectable Caribbean cuisine caters to the body and soul. All I had to do was to find their entrance door on Restaurant Row, which magically spirited me away to a tropical paradise. In fact, the artsy decor and upbeat music brought back fun childhood memories - albeit at a different tropical shore at a different time. They were memories of listening to Harry Belafonte's calypso records on my grandfather's turntable, as well as eagerly watching Sir Viv Richards take the crease on the telly, as he chewed gum in style and make his mark in the world of gentleman's cricket. Meanwhile, the staff seemed friendly and attentive and deserved extra credit for playing their part with their colorful floral shirts and outfits. Having dismissed the young waitress twice - for a duck, so to speak, and mainly due to my undecidedness - I finally settled on the Escovitch fish entree with a little apprehension. But boy, what a pleasant surprise! The well presented fried whole red snapper covered in various peppers, onions, and a spicy vinaigrette sauce, served with jasmine rice, was oozing with flavor and deliciousness ready to dazzle the tastebuds, which it did so well. The sweet plantains made for a nice side dish as well. Every morsel of food being chewed, if I may, was like a batsman driving the ball into the stands past silly point and above deep extra cover. After a wonderful meal, it was finally time to get back to the mundane city life. However, I'm not sure if life will be mundane anymore now that I know where to look for that escape door on Restaurant Row.“
“The closest you will get to Dominican food without being in Dominican Republic. The sangria is also extremely strong, which is an amazing thing. Absolutely love this place, strongly recommend everything on the menu especially the rotisserie chicken, best chicken ever, my go-to spot every time I cross the GWB. 5/5“
“This food is the best tasting Jamaican food in America. I just came from.Jerk’d picking up my dinner on a Friday night. I wanted some that tasted home-cooked. I wanted to find a clean, amazing atmosphere and I wanted to find delicious food. Well that’s what I received. I can’t speak enough about this amazing restaurant. I had the jerk salmon, the sweet fried plantains, the collard greens and the beans and rice, and I had to have a vegan patty on the side. And chocolate chip cookies for dessert I might add. Every morsel of food is absolutely divine. This restaurant will not disappoint. And their customer service is absolutely magnificent. Thank you all for providing amazing food. That’s convenient to my house. You will see me regularly.“
